Arika did an INCREDIBLE job with our wedding photos! I am so thrilled with them--they came out exactly as I had hoped (lots of beautiful shots at golden hour, a good mix of posed and candid photos, beautiful photos of our flat lay and details, etc). She is an amazing photographer who is especially good with light and able to get exactly the right angle/shot. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease while taking photos. I am someone who typically does not like to get my photo taken, and I felt very comfortable with Arika. In addition, she did a fantastic job handling photos with such a large wedding party (I had 10 bridesmaids and my husband had 9 groomsmen). She seamlessly did all of the photos on a relatively short timeline and made the entire experience stress-free and fun. Her photos look like art work, and they are going to be memories that we cherish forever. She was easy going and super responsive to my feedback and suggestions. In the lead up to the wedding she was always available to answer any questions (super responsive and communicative) and took time to have multiple phone calls with me prior to the wedding so we could come up with a plan for taking photos (our wedding venue was a large property with many amazing sites to take photographs at, and Arika even went above and beyond and offered to visit the venue prior to the wedding so she could get a good sense of the place to help me figure out the best spots for photos). She also had a second photographer come for the ceremony (she brought this second person on her own initiative), just to make sure that I got the specific shots I wanted during our ceremony. I am so impressed with her initiative and care. You can tell she puts her full heart into her work, and her attention to detail made everything run so smoothly. We are truly blown away by the beautiful photos Arika took for us and will be forever grateful for her work.

Arika has taken photos of me at several major milestones in my life and no matter the setting, the outfit, the circumstance, or the way I felt about myself at the time, she has always made me feel beautiful, ethereal, and special. You walk away from a session with her feeling not like a client, but like a friend. A lot of photographers give you their time, but Arika truly gives you her heart in every phone call you have, every email she sends, and most importantly, every picture she captures. Her photos speak for themselves. You take a lot of financial risks on your wedding day, but Arika is not a risk - She is a guarantee you won’t regret.

We absolutely adore Arika! In addition to being super talented, she is so kind, communicative, professional and patient. We have been going through our wedding photos, and continue to be blown away by her talent, and the ability to capture such genuine moments of our day. Her photos are very artistic, unique, and thoughtful. We have so many favorites, and are extremely happy with them all (and the online gallery is so organized and easy to use!) From our initial inquiry, Arika was always very responsive, answering any and all questions. We originally hired Arika for our wedding day only, but then decided a few months prior to do a micro engagement session. We thought it would be a good idea to meet Arika prior, and get a bit more comfortable in front of the camera. We knew the type of setting we wanted, and Arika picked the perfect spot. Not only did the photos all turn out beautiful, but we had a great time in the process, and she made us feel at ease. On our wedding day, Arika and Nick arrived early, set up all the detail shots we wanted, captured so many beautiful moments that we weren’t even aware of, got that golden hour just right, and truly fit right in with our family and friends. From the moment I first spoke with Arika on the phone, I felt at ease. She has such a comfortable and calming demeanor. This was so important to us in that we wanted to feel comfortable with the photographer, and know that our friends and family would be as well. We can not say enough how fantastic Arika and her sister were for our daughters wedding they absolutely wonderful to work with very kind and caring and patient. They were on time with arrival and getting all of the pictures done after ceremony before cocktail so as my daughter could enjoy her cocktail hour they were amazing and the pictures are stunning! She took pictures we would not have thought of . We highly recommend her you won’t be disappointed!

Arika was exactly the calming presence I needed on our big day. I was pretty under the weather and was kind of dreading all the photos. Arika not only hyped me up and made me feel so beautiful, she also went at my pace and made sure I was doing alright. Even my husband felt comfortable in front of her camera, which I didn’t think could happen. We had warned her that we often don’t photograph well, but she put at ease and somehow captured us to make us look kind of hot?! We appreciated the mix of traditional wedding portraits with documentary/candid photography. Previews came back within a week (!) of the wedding, and her editing style is so unique and beautiful that we simply cannot wait for all the rest. Thank you for documenting our wedding, Arika!
