Perfect Summer Venue!

I had my wedding here in June and cannot say enough good things! The staff had everything taken care of, making the day go so smooth and stress free! Our wagon driver was kind, knowledgeable, and seemed to love his job. The facilities were clean and well taken care of, as well as the landscape around the property. American West is so pretty in the summer!

Easy, Fun, Professional

Working with AWHC was so easy. They got back to us quickly with every question we had, and always let us come take a look at the building and give tours to our parents and coordinator without a problem. The buildings were easily accessed for day of, none of our vendors had any problems with set up or take down. Spending the extra little bit of money to have them do the final clean up was so worth it, and we got our full deposit back in a timely manor.

If you are looking for some top quality, country chic, beautiful venue, then look no further. American West Heritage Center is amazing! Their rental/wedding staff is accommodating and willing to work with you so you can have your dream wedding. They are reasonably priced and your rental includes tables, chairs, a wagon ride out for your guests, and a gorgeous venue.

Very displeased

Upon signing a contract with American West heritage center to provide services for my son’s wedding, we were told we would have access to the buildings prior to 10 am through their main gate. When we arrived the morning of the wedding, at 9:15 am, we were informed we would have to access the property through their back entrance. I reminded staff we had a 40 foot trailer and were guaranteed their road was “just redone last year and easily accessible for the size of our trailer”. Not only is there tree that covers a good portion of the roadway that tore off our antenna as we turned onto the narrow farming road, but the road had multiple S curves that were too tight for our truck and trailer, so we were forced to cut through parts of the field. At one point, now nearly 10 am, there was a JLG boom blocking the roadway making it impossible for us to get through. My husband owns a similar piece of equipment and moved , as it was unoccupied yet the keys were in it. He literally moved it 6 feet to clear the roadway, so we could continue on safely. Due to frustration of having to access the property differently than promised and expected, I did yell at 2 very sweet young ladies that had no control over the situation. I have apologized and I was wrong, however, Nick, the director was less than kind to us after they did not deliver on their promises. That afternoon, we were told by Nick we would be allowed to exit through the main entrance to avoid the farming road due to our morning problems. At the end of the night, staff told us we would have to leave the same way we entered and would not be allowed to exit the front gates. It was after 10 pm and very dark. We drove very slowly, as we knew the road was problematic in the light, and we be much more difficult in the dark. As we made the last very sharp turn, nearly a 180 degree curve, the back end of our trailer slid off the embankment, bringing our truck to a sudden halt. Two of the three axels of the trailer were off the ground and the trailer was tipped dangerously close to rolling over. My husband had no other option than to put the truck into 4 wheel drive and yank the trailer back up onto the road and into the field. Our daughter went for help and was asked by staff “how much my husband had to drink that night”. My husband does not drink! That happened on Friday night and are waiting for a call from the director, Nick. I thought this would b b e more important to them, considering we had told them it was dangerous and not appropriate for us to enter or exit their property the way they made us. They were aware of the problem and we were told we should have “assessed the situation prior to the event”, although we were never planning to access through the back, as we arrived prior to 10am, as directed by office staff. The staff helping with the event were great, but their lack of communication and appropriate planning and follow through was detrimental to our property. We are looking at more than $1000 in damages due to their negligence

I’m sorry but it was awful

I’m not sure what was worse the fact that they scheduled someone on our wedding day and we had to change the date a week after we went to the venue and signed papers or when we had a meeting and we drove two hours to the venue and the lady wasn’t there because she forgot. Or maybe when they were throwing F bombs at the lady that had desserts and then said If we didn’t stop having people come in we wouldn’t get the deposit back (at the wedding) very unprofessional and a head ache the whole time. They also ask for the rest of the payment 4 weeks in advance? Instead of 2, and DIDNT tell me until two days before it was due
