AH Specialties was fantastic for my wedding makeup. Karly did an exceptional job on both my bridal portraits and my wedding day. She achieved the perfect balance, making me look like I had makeup on without being overly done up, just as I had hoped. The result was a natural look, not cakey or too over the top.

Allison and Lauren did the hair and makeup for my wedding on February 25, 2022 and what can I say other than they did phenomenal job! I got married at The Farmhouse in Montgomery, TX so I frequently saw other brides leaving vendor reviews on The Farmhouse Brides page on Facebook. After seeing various reviews/pictures of Allison’s work, I knew I needed her for the big day. Not only does Allison and her team delivery in provide a more natural makeup option for brides/bridesmaids that don’t traditionally wear makeup, she is one of the sweetest and most accommodating people ever to work with. The day of my wedding , she didn’t hesitate or bat an eyelash when I told her I needed to change my hairstyle due to my chonric migraines. I’ll forever be grateful to Allison and her team on the big day and the trial leading up to it. So brides, set up your trial with her and pick her for your hair and makeup—you won’t be disappointed.

I’m am so lucky to have had AH Specialties and Victoria on my wedding day for hair and makeup for my bridal party and myself! My twin sister used AH and Victoria for her wedding, so the question of who I would use for my wedding was a no brainer. Victoria is a hair and makeup god! She’s an incredible artist but that’s not even touching the tip of the iceberg when I comes to how much I can sing her praises. She is so incredibly sweet, flexible, attentive, hard working, and insanely talented. She treat my bridal party and myself like princesses from the moment they walked into our venue on my wedding day. As for me, Victoria has treated me like a princess since the moment I asked if I could hire her for my wedding. My trail went perfectly and allowed for the most beautiful bridal photos. She answered every question, text, and phone call immediately. My wedding day was the most fun, stress free day ever, which truly is all because of Victoria and AH. I could never thank Victoria enough. I am so grateful and honored to have had her there on my special day. I HIGHLY recommend both AH Specialties and Victoria. 11/10 star!

Wow! Allison and her sister were both absolutely wonderful for our hair and makeup. They were prompt, easy to chat with, and very knowledgeable! My hair and makeup (along with everyone in my wedding party) looked absolutely beautiful and was the same all night long! I would HIGHLY recommend both Allison and Lauren!

Allison and her team were AMAZING to work with! We did our trials about a month before the wedding, and they re-created our looks beautifully. Allison was extremely attentive, responsive, and talented. One of my bridesmaids even had a skin sensitivity, and they worked closely with her to make sure she was taken care of. Their help meant the world to me! Getting ready in a crazy busy and small hotel room didn't even phase them, they just worked around everything like magicians. Everyone looked so beautiful and I would highly recommend Allison's company for your wedding!

Allison was great to work with! My older sister had one of her stylists, Karley do her hair and make up a couple years ago when she got married so I knew exactly who to go for when I got married! Allison was very responsive and through email and was so flexible with my timeline the day of. Karley did my hair and make up, and Victoria did a few of my bridesmaids. They were fantastic to work with! If we wanted anything changed they listened and everyone looked beautiful! I was so glad to have worked with Karley on my wedding day. She could tell I was getting nervous and gave me breaks if needed. I am so glad to have worked with Allison Hughes Specialties for my own wedding, and I felt so beautiful the day of!

Allison Hughes is engaging, talented, and beautiful. We communicated by email and she was flexible in scheduling my hair and makeup trials. On our wedding day, she brought a few stylists so our group of 12 could have 3 doing makeup and 1 doing hair at a time. Her entire staff was friendly, focused, and very good at what they do. The girls, the moms, and I all looked radiant when they finished with us. I do not enjoy being the center of attention, and Allison was very respectful of that, while my bridesmaids and moms thoroughly enjoyed being pampered and feeling like princesses for a day. We were very fortunate to work with such a professional group and would gladly do so again. (I'm not sure why her listing is under catering, though...?)
