As we love many parts of Italy, we actually planned for an additional short "after session" in Rome as well. A lady that I had worked with at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota had posted some of her wedding pictures taken in Rome on facebook. I contacted her and she provide the name of the talented photographer who had taken them. I contacted Alex Gritti and he suggested to meet very early one morning while we were in Rome. He obviously knows what he's doing as we arrived to our first stop, Scalinata della Trinita dei Monti in Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps) and were honestly the only ones there! How often do you see a picture of a single couple on the Spanish Steps? I think the answer is probaby no! He then took us to the Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain) where we followed the legend of tossing 3 coins into the fountain that was the basis for a movie, "Three Coins in the Fountain." Stops at Fore Romano e Palatino (Roman Forum and Palantine Hill), Colosseo (Colosseum), and Castel Sant'Angelo (Castle of the Holy Angel, which was at one time was used by the popes as a fortress and castle, and is now a museum) rounded out our tour of Rome. We had so much fun with Alex and enjoyed his his energy as he jumped all over the place and ran across streets to get the perfect shot. He was so quick! It was as if he had vanished and then reapeared moments later in a different spot to get a new angle. Alex, thank you so much for our beautiful pictures in Rome!
