aisha's just opened another location at 25701 I-45 N #2 Woodlands, TX 77070, i used to go to the one in veterans memorial which was 20mins away from me, now this location is much closer & the salon is so inviting and beautiful. Shamsa is such a joyful and friendly person that i have been going to, to get my facial done. She is so well knowledged on the products and her hands are just so amazing when she massages my face. I make sure i get my face pampered by her every month. 8/14/2012

I got a body wax, facial, hair and makeup for my wedding from Aisha's. The owner of the salon performed the makeup. She listened carefully to what I wanted and chose the right colors and hairstyle for me, exactly as I had wanted. However, the foundation she used caused my skin to dry and become patchy (which showed if you looked really closely). That was my only complaint - but almost nobody really noticed it at the wedding in all the lights so it was all good.

All the other services I availed at Aisha's were also pretty satisfying. Especially fit well into my budget and the person who did the waxing was great at her job.

Aisha's did a good job on my hair and makeup. Aisha herself did my makeup (although I had not requested her). She did a wonderful job. Zeba did my hair and it turned out beautiful. I have short hair and she managed a really pretty "up-do". I did not need extensions like I thought I would. Everyone LOVED my hair and make-up. I can't wait to see the pictures and video.

Based on Aisha's videos on youtube I thought this might be a good place close to Safari to do bridal makeup/hair. I am so glad that I didn't do my make up there. NOTE:May be the owner Aisha is very good (so this review is not for her but about the franchise at Sugarland). I did do my hair for the evening (not bridal but more like a party hairstyle). But I will never recommend anyone to go here. I suggested a few guests to go here as it was close to the reception venue. They were also disappointed there but I was horrified.

Even though I made a prior appointment (and paid in advance), I was made to wait for a long time (at least 30 minutes) even while I was begging for help (to be fair I ended up reaching 15 minutes late due to traffic) but I was expecting a little more understanding for a bride. I ended up doing party hair style due to the time constraint (which didn't turn out bad but obviously on your wedding day you want to look and feel great).

**Saree draping: Aisha's charged 25$ each for me and other guests (usually other parlors I had asked had quoted 10-15$).
The saree draping was terrible (even though I repeatedly told them that it did not look right). The first time around, the lady started with the wrong side of the saree. Finally, it fell apart within 15 minutes (by the time I reached the venue and got out of car). I ended up missing the appetizer hour because of this. Had to request a few guests to help out but in vain (as it was pinned all over in a desperate attempt to fix work poorly done). Finally they had to completely redo my saree and they were also shocked at the way the saree draping was done at the parlor.

May be this was a one-off experience: although the work was not up to the expectations the main reason I came back to write this review is because the whole experience just before the wedding reception was so scary and stressful that I don't want any bride to go through that on her big day. It's not worth the risk.

I went to Aisha's for my wedding make-up after being on a waiting list for months for Aisha herself. It was a complete disaster. She managed to make me look about 10 years older and about (gasp!) 20 pounds heavier and somehow gave me the appearance of a double chin out of nowhere! I am a nice looking woman in her 20s, had a pretty wedding dress and jewelry, and worked out for six months before my wedding so I could look the best possible. And in a matter of a few hours she transformed me into a MIDDLE-AGED COW! Every time I look at my wedding pictures I feel so devastated and just have to put them away. Thank god Aisha wasn't available for the reception day and one of her employees with not that much experience did my make-up instead. It actually came out very nicely. I feel sad that my wedding day got ruined and that my future kids will look at my wedding pictures but will NOT think that their Mom was the most beautiful lady in the world. You will never be a young bride again - so avoid Aisha at all costs and spend those hundreds of dollars on someone cheaper with better taste!

unless you "want" to pay a hundred bucks to wash your face the second you get home... horrible experience. They only have one shade of foundation that they use on EVERYONE which is VERY FAIR. I am not VERY FAIR my makeup made me look like someone rubbed my face in powder... not to mention i was told i could only wear dark colors bc of my skin tone, which meant a horrible maroon eyeshadow with blue shadings to compliment my red lengha... horrible! i took a pic of my face and sent it o my fiancee he thought i was playing in silly makeup! i went home washed my face, re-applied my own make up, a nice foundation with bronze and gold shadows... lest i say i looked "fairer" lol! because that is what is most important right? lol!
