Being of both African and Colombian decent (Afrolombian) he has always loved community gatherings and cultural celebrations. The first wedding he captured was a backyard gathering for family 5 years ago. During it he realized the importance of capturing different traditions and how people come together to celebrate love and union. Being a professional and award winning filmaker, story is very important to Kalani and anchors the way he captures each wedding.
