5K6 Visuals is a Houston based media company that was founded by creative Derrick Sr.. Derrick, a self taught photographer and videographer, attended Texas A&M University on a football scholarship where he received his bachelor’s and his master’s degree in the sports field. In 2012 while working as a high school teacher and football coach, he received his first DSLR camera. From there he would offer free services to individuals who could use them so that he could gain a basic understanding on how to properly handle a DSLR camera. To gain better knowledge of utilizing a camera he started learning from other creatives such as YCImaging, Visionary Art Group, Brandon Cole, and Taylor Jackson to understand camera settings and how to edit video in Premiere Pro. It wasn’t until 2 years later,2014, that individuals would book him for paid opportunities and that was the birth of 5K6Visuals. Derrick is married to his beautiful wife Dr. Tarcia Hubert and they are the proud parents of Tahj and Dhorbin. In his free time he is either studying photo and video, traveling with his family, or building other brands with his wife from the ground up.
