My name is Lee and I’m a third generation Montanan. My mother is also a photographer who specializes in Landscapes. I grew up in a small town located 18 miles west of Bozeman called Churchill where I attended a private school called Manhattan Christian. For my senior project in high school I made a 40 minute Lego Star Wars animated short. In my free time I love to watch movies and TV series. My favorite movie’s are Mad Max: Fury Road and Apocalypse Now. My favorite TV series are the Band of Brothers miniseries, and Mindhunter. I also love documentary series like Planet Earth and Ken Burns Vietnam. When I’m not watching movies I like to spend time skiing and playing golf.
I started college at Montana State University in Bozeman in 2017 and graduated with honors in 2021. During my time at MSU I short and edited a variety of film and photography projects. During my senior year I shot and animated an experimental short called Into the Void and that spring, I directed a short horror comedy for my senior capstone called The Horror of Writing. In 2020 during the COVID pandemic I made a forty minute documentary called 1-23-03 about three students and their teacher who were killed in a car accident in my hometown. It premiered on January 27, 2023 at the BZN International Film Celebration and will air on Montana PBS in the spring of 2023.
In the summer of 2021 I started shooting wedding videos for friends and relatives and have done so five times since. My passion in life is filmmaking and photography, and it's something I hope to continue in the southwestern Montana area.
