Zest is the Best of the Best!!!!

My husband and I hired Zest to cater our wedding this past May, and we were absolutely blown away! They were a preferred caterer at our venue, and it was instantly clear why they’re so highly recommended. We worked closely with Elizabeth throughout the planning process, and she was an absolute gem. So kind, and genuinely excited to help bring our vision to life (even with my 1,000 slightly over the top questions!)

From greeting our guests post-ceremony with our signature cocktails on trays, to serving late-night McDonald's bottle-service style (literally doing the splits on the dance floor.......it was ICONIC), the Zest team brought so much energy to the day and made it so fun and special. Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing everything tasted, and to top it all off, we came in way under budget.

If you're not hiring Zest for your event, you're seriously missing out!!!

We loved Zest!

Look No Further- Zest is IT!

I could not imagine a more amazing catering team if I tried. From the first time we met Garrett at the tasting (which was incredible), I knew that we were in the best of hands. He was creative, patient, professional, and on top of all things catering.

From the passed appetizers (the bacon wrapped dates were to die for) to the main course (don’t snooze on the bourbon glazed salmon), Zest just blew us away. They provided their own staff of bartenders and servers who were friendly and professional, and Garrett was on site the whole time to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

Wedding planning can be so stressful and having a team like Zest made the catering aspect feel so manageable. I truly cannot recommend them enough. Thanks for everything!

Phenomenal Team!

Zest is the best in the catering business. I had the pleasure of working alongside Dana over the past two years, due to COVID wedding postponements. He was so professional and streamlined the entire process for us.

Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food was, and the late night taco & churro bar was a huge hit. While I was too nervous to eat much during the wedding, we were pleasantly surprised to find a packed bag from Zest of leftover food in our getaway car. The team truly went above and beyond. I couldn’t not thank Dana enough for everything he did to make our day absolute perfection! Just looking at the photos below is making my mouth water again. Whatever you do, don’t hesitate to book this vendor!

Better than I imagined!

If i could make a review with only one word it would be YUM! The food was absolute perfection and one of the guest highlights for sure! We worked with Garret and he was so patient and kind. He asked what we like and I thought I was being complicated when I came back with “ Well I like steak, it's my mom's bday ad she wants lobster mac & cheese but my fiance loves tacos” without missing a beat he sent me a two station option. One with a beef tenderloin, lobster mac, veggies, and rolls and the other was a decked out taco bar! It was perfect and had something for everyone and the food was AMAZING! I could not ask for more! Hannah & Zest: Thank you!!

Where to begin?! We were probably a caterer's worst nightmare: A switched wedding date due to COVID-19, a switch from stations to plated dinner for safety, a complete reworking of the menu (...twice), differing food opinions between parents and the couple --- you name it, we had it.

And through it all, Hannah was an absolute rock. She adjusted and readjusted, made an absolutely perfect menu, and, the night of (and beyond!), everyone was absolutely raving about the food. (Get the grits; seriously. You won't regret it.) She provided an additional appetizer because she knew it was my husband's favorite, she created our own specialty drink at the last minute, she modeled a menu based on our favorite restaurant, and so much more. She went above and beyond with everything, and the end product was absolute perfection.

And, a final note: I'm not a bride who loved planning -- I found it incredibly stressful and difficult. Hannah provided so much more than food; she was a calming, collected presence who I'm personally so glad could be a part of our wedding day. My husband and I will sing Zest's (and Hannah's!) praises from the rooftops!

Great Service, Great Food

The Zest team did a great job catering our wedding. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it! All staff on-site was super friendly and professional. My personal favorite touch was the popcorn machine - I was thrilled to find out that Zest could provide their own. We loved the extra touch of sending us home with a bag of leftovers.

My one lament is that we missed out on in-person planning and tasting with Zest thanks to the pandemic. We ended up having to do a take-home tasting, which was quite well done. All of our food was packaged up neatly and included instructions for heating up and preparing. Even though we couldn't do the tasting in person, Zest made the experience special and easy for us.

Hire them!! The best

We booked Hannah and her team in January 2020 and ended up having a small backyard wedding before our big celebration in April of 2021. Hannah catered my birthday, backyard wedding, big celebration in April and brunch the next day! We will continue to use Zest for every big celebration we have because they were truly a joy to work with!! The food is amazing (of course) and Hannah even came up with the name of our punch! They truly care so much about the couples and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Absolutely recommend working with Zest

First things first, our food was DELICIOUS. We went with a plated dual entree with chicken, beef medallions and vegetables; it was the best chicken I’ve ever had at an event and our guests agreed. Garrett was such a pleasure to work with, even with several revisions to our plans (guests counts, buffet vs plated, glassware, etc.); he never missed a beat and we felt total confidence in the Zest team. I would not hesitate to recommend Zest for your next event or upcoming wedding, they really knocked it out of the park. And they even sent us home with a goodie bag of take home food.

5 Star Food + Customer Service

Zest is AMAZING! We used Zest for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and they blew us away at both events. Of course the food was incredible (we ate our weight in buffalo chicken paninis and edamame pot stickers after the wedding), but the level of customer service they demonstrated was above and beyond. We both agreed that Elizabeth was the best communicator out of all our vendors (and all our vendors were amazing!). She was quick to respond (sometimes within seconds) and always helpful (offering to assist with items that weren’t included in our contract). The Zest team even agreed to make and serve a family pie recipe as a surprise for my fiancé’s grandmother. They nailed it and helped to make our entire weekend so special. Thank you, Elizabeth, Hannah, and team!

Catered for our wedding, we could not thank them enough!

We had our wedding catered by zest. We found the company online and Garrett is amazing. He is quick to respond to emails and answers all of our questions and concerns during COVID. We were able to have a taste test before COVID, and the chefs prepared enough food to feed at least 10 people. All the food tasted amazing and we were blown away by their quality. Since our wedding date had to be pushed back and downscaled, Zest was very accommodating and adjusted the menu accordingly. On our wedding, the food and service were fantastic. We could not have asked for a more perfect experience.

Best Caterer Ever!

We are three weeks out from our wedding and our guests are still raving about our food. Thank you so much to Zest for catering our wedding on 09/12/2020. We worked with Elizabeth and she is awesome! If you want high quality service, delicious food, and your guests to be impressed then go with Zest. They have so many creative ideas to create your perfect menu for any event. On wedding day all of their staff were dressed professionally, the food was absolutely and delicious, they were attentive, presentation of food was perfect, and we did not have to worry about a single thing. Having a wedding during Covid was not easy, but they were able to work with us and still made our day a dream come true. I 100% recommend them for any wedding or party. Incredible food, incredible service!

Zest was the first vendor we hired after finding our wedding venue, and we are so glad we found them! Right off the bat, Garrett was so professional, attentive, and great to work with. He listened to what we had in mind for our wedding, and put together a great proposal. We went in for a tasting and we were so blown away! The food was incredible, and they even gave us some to take home :)

As we continued planning, Garrett was great about answering all of our questions regarding allergies, staff, bartenders, and more. Once COVID hit, Zest was so incredibly understanding and accommodating even when we had to postpone. They communicated all of the precautions they were taking, and let us know exactly what to expect the day-of - which allowed us to communicate to our 50 guests. They were so flexible as guest count was fluctuating from having a COVID wedding, and they even upgraded us to a plated meal out of safety, which meant a lot. During our walkthrough, Garrett was fantastic at answering our last-minute questions, and we felt great going into the wedding day.

On the wedding day, we couldn't have been happier. At the venue we booked, Zest also acted as our house staff and set up tables/chairs/linens and they blew me away with how efficient and cautious they were. The service was great, Garrett was on top of everything, and the day went off without a hitch. Not to mention, our guests were RAVING about the food, and still do to this day! Everyone had a wonderful, safe time. It's a no brainer to hire Zest for your next event. They will take care of you and will provide incredible service!

Delicious food a+++

Four-weeks later and people are STILL talking about how great the food was at our wedding reception. Garrett and staff knocked it out of the park. We had a wide range of food to choose from and the tasting was phenomenal. I especially appreciated their flexibility when it came down to my indecisiveness. The week of our wedding I ended up changing the menu last minute. They were super cool about it and I must say, FRIED CHICKEN is the way to go!

Amazing quality, very flexible and creative

Hannah and team were amazing to work with! From start to finish, a very personal experience. We loved that they are a family run business that takes delivering excellence for their local clients seriously. The food is delicious, and they were super helpful in helping us design the perfect "station" set-up for our wedding. We were even able to create our own "super" seasonal fresh station; charcuterie, spreads, and salad with help and ideas from the team. They were also able to work within our budget to create a custom mix of passed apps. Everyone said how amazing our food was! Definitely would recommend.

Wedding Caterer

Zest's culinary creations are 5 star. Hannah, owner of Zest, is so talented, professional, and knowledgeable. She is so much more than a caterer! Zest was hired to cater my wedding including a cocktail hour following the ceremony. I held a plated dinner for a guest count of 175. Hannah made it possible to seat and feed my guest in a timely manner and tight space for my guest count. Her staff is very professional as well and were all attentive to my guest. The food and service are exceptional!

Amazing Experience

Our experience with Zest was incredible! Everyone was raving about the food, which is not something that happens often at weddings. Amazing food and service!!!

Hannah Harris is an amazing person to work with and someone you want with you on your wedding day. Yes - her food is also amazing and incredible, but so is she! Her knowledge and experience is what makes you feel comfortable! We only did two food tastings and we visited Hannah first, and my whole family looked at me and said "Do we even have to go to the other place?" We had three very different food stations at our wedding and they were all great! She understood our vision and theme from the beginning. Everyone loved the food and loved that we had traditional and fun food to choose from!

More than satisfied

Zest went above and beyond to make our special day delicious. From the relaxed food tasting to making us our "to-go" meals after our wedding, Hannah and her team took amazing care of us. They were able to help tailor the menu to our needs and make dietary changes for our guests who needed something special.
Our food way beyond delicious. I still have dreams of the mac'n cheese muffins. I also loved the eclectic variety offered. I would have never thought I would be the person to have nachos at my wedding, but the Asian Nachos were too good to not have at the wedding. We still have people talking about our food and everyone at the Church now wants a Zest Catered wedding.

Highly Recommend

Hannah and the people at Zest were wonderful to work with and the food and presentation was great. After listening to what we wanted, they suggested family style at the table which everyone loved. The food was southern style with flair! The bartenders and waiters were very professional. We could not have been any happier. Hannah and the Zest team were absolutely incredible!! Our guests thoroughly raved about the food during cocktail hour and the dinner reception. They had a tall order bartending our group :) but they managed to do it flawlessly and quickly! We planned this wedding from out of state, and it was fantastic how easy it was to work with Zest and craft the menu we dreamed about on our day. We had looked at several vendors, but Zest was the only one that really seemed to WANT to accommodate our special additions (i.e. instead of a wedding cake, having donuts and ice cream). They also made sure my husband and I had enough to eat during the night and afterwards, which we thoroughly appreciated (and needed). If you want the quality and service with great value, Zest is definitely our recommendation!!!

I could write a book on how great Zest is. Dana and his staff did an incredible job catering my daughter’s wedding last weekend. We had appetizers passed during cocktail hour and everything was delicious. During the reception we had stations set up and there were so many food items to select from. Not only is the food delicious, but the presentation of the food is incredible. Dana kept asking me if he could fix me a plate- he was not only attentive to me but to everyone. His staff hustled the entire time- making sure food was replenished and bussing the tables when people finished their plates. You get so many extras when you hire Zest. Dana is delightful to work with and really eases your mind about the details (I definitely needed that). Our guests raved over the food and thought everything was delicious. I highly recommend Zest for any of your catering needs. A big thank you to Zest Atlanta Catering for providing wonderful food and service for my daughter’s wedding.

Dana and Hannah were so helpful and knowledgeable about all the reception details. They gave honest opinions and advice when we asked and took care of so many details that saved us time and, probably, errors. All the Zest employees were professional and responsive throughout the wedding reception. Zest was a preferred caterer for our venue. Here we are, two weeks after the wedding, and we still have friends and family talking about how amazing the food was. Garett was excellent to work with; It's clear he takes the job of creating a great wedding seriously. Zest's serving staff was friendly, approachable, and it seems they enjoyed the party as much as we did. The guys serving the cake were dancing while they cut out slices, which we loved.

We were so happy with the delicious food and beautiful presentation! The buffet table at my daughter’s wedding exceeded our expectations!
Beautiful charcuterie display was followed by amazing paella, chicken satay, spinach soufflé and sliced steak with fresh rolls.
Zest also created a lovely assorted brownie/berries display...... YUM!!!

Hannah and Zest Catering are top notch! They really are the best and if you don't take my word for it as described below, know that another caterer didn't even try to win my business because they knew I was also going to a tasting with Zest. No joke that happened! As for my experience with Zest, I immediately clicked with Hannah during the tasting and was blown away by the chef's presentation, food and attention to detail. They take their work seriously and it was evident during the tasting. The table was set beautifully, food presentation superb and the chef could tell me everything about the dish and ingredients. This is important - I went to another tasting that had no clue what was in their food. At the end of the tasting, Hannah even sent me home with my favorite dessert (tiramisu) because she remembered from my email that it was my favorite. Needless to say, it was a no-brainer to hire Zest! Leading up to the wedding, Hannah was incredibly engaged and eager to help ensure I had everything I needed (or didn't know I needed). She has a kind, warm heart and is beyond talented at what she does. When I saw the buffet set-up and decor, I was speechless at how beautiful she made it. Every detail was breathtakingly stunning. I never knew how much a caterer could do and Hannah and team blew it out of the park! Every Zest bartender, server and staff member was incredibly nice and attentive. Zest really rolls out the red carpet for their events. Hannah even referred us to other vendors that we absolutely loved. There are no words to truly express how thankful I am to Hannah and team for making the wedding day so special. Food (meaning DELICIOUS food) was one of my non-negotiable must-haves and my guests still are telling me how much they loved the spread! If you want top notch service, melt-in-your-mouth food, beautiful food presentation, and an amazing caterer that will bend over backwards to make the day all it should be, look no further than Hannah and Zest!

I am so happy we chose to work with Zest for our wedding at the Historic DeKalb Courthouse! Donna and her team are experts on the space and were a dream to work with from planning the menu to executing on the day of. I have a food allergy and Donna worked with me to create a menu that was safe for me and enjoyable for our guests. Our friends and family still rave about the food. And how can you not rave about homemade pimento cheese mashed potatoes?! I can’t say enough good things about Donna and about Zest! The quality, professionalism and service of the entire Zest team made for a stress-free experience for my husband and myself, and a wonderful time for our guests.

If I could give more than five stars, I would! Garrett and the Zest team were the most amazing team a bride could ask for. Garrett answered all of my million questions and created the perfect menu for my September wedding. Food was our top priority for our guests and Zest exceeded expectations. ALL of our guests commented on how amazing the food was and how they never ate so many amazing things at a wedding! Garrett also took the time to make sure my husband and I got to eat on our wedding day! He had apps and our food waiting for us with a big smile and a huge congrats! It made our entire wedding experience SO memorable. Garrett truly went above and beyond to make us feel like we were such a special couple to him and our wedding was a priority. On top of that, the food was literally out of this world.

I hired Zest Catering to provide food for my November wedding. Garrett went above and beyond to assist me with a menu that would be enjoyable for our guests, but at the same time reflected me and my husbands favorite food choices. He provided two food tasting for us in order to ensure that the menu for the wedding would be perfect. The guests raved over the taste and presentation of the food. Guest are still raving about the food! We did a family-style southern dinner and it was a hit. We enjoyed the tasting and my husband loved that Zest sent us to our honeymoon with to-go boxes of each dish and app. The price was amazing as well. For the quality and service, Zest is the best choice!

Zest was AMAZING! Hannah was very helpful and able to pull the style and tastes we were looking for out of my head, since I had a lot of trouble with making decisions. While everything on their catering menu was delicious, Hannah was also willing to work with me and offer custom dishes if that's what we were looking for. The food was so great - I highly recommend the mac and cheese cupcakes, shrimp and grits cups, cedar smoked salmon, and my husband will not stop talking about the potatoes gratin we had as a side to the plated dinner. Hannah, thank you so much for everything! We highly recommend Zest to everyone.

We stumbled upon Zest after booking the Historic Dekalb Courthouse and researching their preferred vendors. I wanted something unique, Breakfast for Dinner, and we actually saw a post on their instagram account of a recent "Brinner" they catered! Contacting Hannah was so easy and I was planning with her and my mother from abroad - not an easy task with time differences and not meeting in person. Her flexibility and responsiveness was incredible. There was never any stress in the planning process and that also is attributed to the excellent attention to detail by LaDonna, our wedding coordinator hired through Zest. I can't say enough good things about this team. The food was hot, delicious, and our guests are still saying it's the best meal they've ever had at a wedding! Brinner was an absolute hit! Thank you, Zest, for making it so easy and effortless, for working so well with our other vendors, and for creating a seamless, perfect night for me and Jon and our families. None of us had to lift a finger, the timing was carefully carried out by LaDonna, and the guests were going back for more plates of the delicious food. The presentation was so carefully thought out, the cocktail hour charcuterie table was the perfect pre-dinner snacking and the servers and bartenders were friendly and attentive. Hannah, Dana, LaDonna and team are a dream to work with!

Zest catered our son's rehearsal dinner. Donna was in charge of our event. She was a pleasure to work with. We were planning from another state and relied on Donna to help us choose a menu and assist in the design of the set up. Donna was very prompt in responding to any questions we had and was accommodating with some last minute changes. When we arrived at our venue on the night of the event, Donna was already there with her crew setting up. They were very professional and everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and beautifully displayed. We would highly recommend Zest !! Zest also catered the wedding the next day which was fantastic again.

Our wedding was a beautiful event, and we owe a big part of that to Zest Catering.
We knew Zest was the right choice as soon as we met Dana and Hannah for a tasting. They were friendly, professional in all our communication, and the food was extraordinary. What we could not have foreseen was just how good of a choice they were.

We had a somewhat unusual vision for our wedding and the food we wanted to serve—think of a cheese steak but somehow fancy enough to be called wedding food. Zest completely understood our vision. Dana and Hannah offered creative ideas as we worked together on the menu, which we quickly decided was perfect.

We worked closely with Dana in particular as the wedding day approached. He took care in every detail. At the walkthrough he was on top of all the planning and logistics. He matched table colors to our wedding scheme, arranged bars in the best locations, and handled requests for guests with some pretty strict diet restrictions. If we e-mailed any questions, Dana offered prompt, helpful responses.

The wedding day itself was perfect. The bartenders were great. The food was exceptional. Everything was on schedule. We had a lemonade cocktail table to welcome guests as they entered, and Dana made it gorgeous, with bundles of tied lavender surrounding a wooden décor. I barely even know what to say. Zest scored a perfect %100.

It’s worth noting that neither my (now) wife nor I ever had any doubt that the food or catering at our wedding would be anything but spectacular, and it was. With all the planning that goes into a wedding, having a vendor in whom you can place that kind of confidence is a blessing.

What else can I say about Dana, Hannah, and the whole crew at Zest? These are people who take pride in what they do, and it shows. I hope you are lucky enough to use them for your wedding too. We could not be happier.

I just had my wedding last weekend, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about Zest Atlanta! Donna has been my main POC, and has been such a pleasure to work with! From the very beginning, she was mindful of my budget and provided great food recommendations based on my desired themed stations. What really blew me away was the food tasting. Wow! We tried so many dishes and they were all amazing! It was hard to choose which ones were our favorites. I also love that the buffet station decor was included in their pricing. Their price, presentation, & taste really sets them above the rest. Plus, Donna was very quick to respond to my emails and requests. She was great with me while I kept tweaking my proposal and requested new items for the night. Food is one thing that you just have to have right at your wedding, and all of my guests kept coming up to me to say how great the food was throughout the night. I'm so glad I went with Zest!

We absolutely love Zest Atlanta!! Hannah and Dana really listen to your ideas and respect your budget! We talked with many caterers in planning for our wedding but none of them really understood our vision or could work within our price point. From the first email with Hannah we knew we had found our match - we didn't look back and could not have been more happy with our choice. Hannah and her team are very responsive, returning emails in less than 24 hours. They put together an amazing Sunday brunch menu for our wedding and were able to infuse my husbands Jamaican heritage in creative ways in the menu. The presentation of the food was beautiful and tied in with our theme, the staff was friendly & attentive and most importantly our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was!!

We also used Zest's Day of Coordinator service which was a life saver! It was such a relief to know that LaDonna had our best interests in mind and was taking care of every detail. Our day ran so smoothly and I didn't have to worry about a thing thanks to LaDonna staying on top of everything!

Zest Atlanta will definitely be our preferred caterer for all events in our life!

We initially had a bit of a mix up with a technical glitch when scheduling our tasting. We showed up per our conformation email from the scheduling system, which Hannah, Dana and Garrett never received. We then needed to reschedule, which was fine, technology is bitter sweet sometimes. Hannah was incredibly apologetic and immediately remedied the situation by providing us a bottle of wine and incredible service for our rescheduled tasting. ALL of the food we had was absolutely on point. Hannah, Dana and Garrett were fantastic with helping choose options. We signed a contract on the spot. Our wedding is not until April, but I have no doubt that they will deliver. Highly recommend Zest.

I reached out to Zest last year as they are an approved vendor at Cator Woolford, where my husband and I were married last weekend. When I reached out over email, Hannah was quick to send a quote with pricing structures per person and per style (family, served, buffet), along with sample menus, costs for desserts, glassware and tablecloth rental options, etc. Hannah and Dana also invited my fiance and I to drop by another wedding Zest was setting up at CW so we could check out the lay of the venue.

From the start we knew that Zest was the only company that we'd like to cater our big day, to the extent that we didn't even feel the need to reach out to any other food vendors for quotes or have even a tasting (although Zest did offer one!). Hannah adjusted menu options and serving style to come in within the budget my dad had set aside for catering, and I really appreciated all of her tips and ideas that helped us stick to his budget and be respectful of my Dad's gift to us.

Hannah was also super straight-forward about her experiences with some of my newbie ideas and gave me loads of honest advice that helped me avoid some troubles other brides had run into in their forays into DIY. She tells it like it is and come your wedding weekend, you will be eternally grateful for her honesty and words of wisdom.

And the food? Everyone raved. And raved. We kicked off with a charcuterie board overflowing with meats, cheeses, breads atop wine boxes and greenery Zest had grabbed to fit in with our Provencal theme (Yep! They decorate their food arrangements based on your wedding theme). The buffet was beautiful: A special salad packed with quinoa, berries, and avocado (which we requested after dying over it on a trip we took - Hannah worked with us and made it happen for just a couple dollars more per guest!), Creole shrimp and grits, fried chicken, phenomenal roasted root vegetables. Hannah was patient, detailed, thoughtful, generous, and kept the train on the tracks!

Although our wedding is still 3 months away, I am so excited that we have booked and are working with Zest for our catering! We had previously decided to go with a family friend's catering company. We ended up having different visions, and so we had to part ways. I was stressed that we were less than 5 months to the wedding and now had no caterer! A friend and former bride recommended Zest to me, so I began my research. After contacting Zest, Hannah was so sweet and really listened to me to get a better understanding of my wedding vision. She even contacted the rental company they work with to get price quotes on different china I was interested in PRIOR to our tasting. At our tasting we met with Dana who was SO funny and nice and (just like his wife) listened to all the meticulous details of our wedding vision. The food was SOOOOOO good (I'm so serious, we loved and devoured everything!) My parents were super impressed. Not only was the food tasty and plentiful, but they were so professional and experienced! That is a big deal for us. We are also able to give our guests FOUR entree options (instead of 3!), which was an added bonus. They went above and beyond helping us pick out food. They helped me pick out my linens also to make sure that everything matched and looked good! We have since gone to weddings were Zest catered the event and have left impressed and confident that they will execute a fantastic dining and wedding experience. I will update in November about how the wedding day turned out!

Zest was amazing throughout the wedding planning process. When we first met with Dana and Hannah they were so warm and welcoming. My husband and I told them we wanted food with a southern twist. They brought out fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, biscuits, peaches salad, and tons of other delicious foods. They were so easy throughout this process. We signed the contract that day and they specified that day that if our taste or decisions changed to just let them know and they would work with us. About a month or so away from the wedding I began to freak out about my choices. Dana and Hannah were so nice and scheduled a second tasting. It solidified that I made the best choice! The day of the wedding the food was delicious. They had our own plates brought to my husband and I's "private dinner." They boxed up all of our food and gave us a to go box for when we were starving and needing a 2am snack! I would use them again in a heart beat. Cannot say enough good things about them. So professional and high quality ingredients and food.

Have you ever had people tell you that the passed hor d'ourves at your wedding were the best they've ever had? That happened to us, thanks to Dana and Hannah! We had chicken & waffles on a stick, ahi tuna on wonton crisps, and almond filled bacon wrapped dates - and wow! And that was just to start. The main dual entree course of braised short rib and herb roasted chicken was mouth watering. Dana and Hannah rose to the occasion to fulfill every one of our wishes and they came through with flying colors! The service of their entire staff was top notch and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

I wish I could give Zest more stars. Hannah and Dana were amazing from day one. They handled our quirks and the unbelievable amount of questions we had. Our wedding guests could not stop raving about the quality of the food, and the presentation of the stations.

Plus, Hannah gave us the most amazing bar set-up we could have ever dreamed of. It was truly the centerpiece of our whole wedding, and nobody had ever seen it done before.

She was always quick to respond to emails, very professional, and offered solid advice. As for the food, it was excellent. We had roasted pear and goat cheese salad, beef tenderloin, chicken florentine, asparagus, and roasted root vegetables. We received so many compliments from our guests on how good the food was. Another plus was Zest's staff. They were prompt, courteous, and FUN! They really added an extra something to the night. From beginning to end, it was wonderful and stress-free to work with Zest. I truly cannot recommend Zest enough. Everyone I have spoken with since my wedding has made a point of telling me how wonderful the food was. Dana and Hannah are so easy to work with, and they were truly willing to listen to what we wanted and make adjustments as necessary while still keeping our budget in mind. They were so kind to make my husband and I a few plates of food during the reception, so we were lucky enough to get to sample everything. The hors d'oeuvres, sides, and meats were all so delicious (and tasted like they did at the tasting!). Planning brides, if Zest is on your short list for caterers, I would say definitely book with Dana Hannah at Zest. You and your guests will not be sorry!

Dana of Zest Catering is simply amazing. We wanted a menu and presentation color palate that would show off new south cooking and coordinate with our various wedding themes, and Dana blew our expectations away. The stations he assembled were so delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. He was a delight to work with and paid so much attention to color and style as well as the delicious food. His staff was incredible, going above and beyond to make sure everything was running smoothly. His attention to detail is impeccable. Also, he is a blast to hang out with so we looked forward to planning meetings with him. We could not have been more happy with him and Zest.

Zest is AMAZING!!!! They were the first catering meeting we went to and they were so knowledgeable and helpful, my fiancé and I felt confident we didn't need to meet with anyone else. We made the right decision. The food!!! Oh my! It is absolutely delicious! Our guests raved over the hors d'oeuvres and the dinner. Hannah made sure that my husband and I took a minute to eat, but then secretly put a huge bag of leftovers in our getaway car. They are just the best! Service was very important to us when choosing a wedding caterer. The waiters, bartenders and the rest of the staff were energetic, happy to be there, polished, professional and just so friendly. Dana and Hannah are wonderful! We really wanted funky southern food for our wedding and Zest was the perfect choice. From my first phone call with Dana, I was really excited about working with Zest and actually didn't even go to tastings for any other companies because it felt like the right choice...and it was! Dana took my ideas for our menu and created an individualized menu for our cocktail hour and dinner that was unique and EXACTLY what I wanted. We planned our wedding in Atlanta from where we live in California and Zest was flexible with our schedule and worked with us to meet when we would be in town, even though we were in town months before the wedding. Several people have commented on how wonderful the food was and that it was much better than typical wedding food. Zest was also very affordable and really can not be beat! Highly recommend!

By hiring Zest, you are not only guaranteed to get the most delicious foods imaginable, but you are also getting a decorator/designer/coordinator extraordinaire!

Hannah and Dana, the super cute and personable married couple who founded and run Zest, make an incredible and creative catering team. Their ideas are cutting edge (they're not pushing baked chicken and green bean almandine), they are extremely flexible ("let's trade this for that and switch these around...all within your budget"), and their presentation looks like something straight out of a design magazine.

At my vintage/southern wedding, the catering team dressed in adorable and appropriate outfits for the era. They served our signature cocktails from a bar made from an old door stacked upon vintage boxes. The main buffet was nestled among vintage items that enhanced the venue's southern charm and appeal. Hannah not only designs the menu and prepares the food, but she gets right in there with the wedding planner to develop the night's setup and decorate to the max.

Of course, Zest is a catering company, and the quality of their food is #1. I typically don't comment on the food served at weddings simply because it's what I would describe as "wedding food." Bread, salad, a meat, a pasta, and green beans. Later, cake. That is the run of the mill wedding meal, and for the most part it fills people's bellies and they go on with their evening.

Don't expect your guests to sit quietly and not repeatedly fill their plates with Zest's cuisine. Don't be surprised if your guests can't stop complimenting and oooing/ahhing over their meals and forget to comment on how pretty you look (I kid!). I got so many satisfied guests coming up to me telling me that they had just eaten one of the most delicious meals of their life (not just for a wedding, but in general!).

Zest is super professional, surprisingly affordable, and delicious. Read their raving reviews and then hire them. You won't regret it.

Zest is amazing! Hannah and Dana are fantastic at what they do. Hannah is a no-nonsense person, and she was great at working with my budget and letting me know what I needed to do for linens and all the other stuff you don't know about before you choose a caterer. The value was exceptional! I feel like I paid so little and got such high quality food! And all my guests raved about the food. One of our food stations was the "Medeterranean Station," and my two vegetarian guests were extremely impressed and said it was the best vegetarian spread they had ever had at a large event. Their staff were also really cool. The servers and bartenders were super friendly and helpful, and definitely earned their tips! Definitely consider Zest if you're planning a wedding in Atlanta!

Dana at Zest is absolutely fabulous! We got married this past May and went to multiple caterers with our idea of laid-back BBQ and southern food. Many caterers came back to us with the most foofy versions of this menu (as lovely as Porcini Enscrusted Roasted Filet Mignon would be, it was a little over the top for what I wanted to feel like a backyard celebration), but Zest worked with us to create an AMAZING menu. The food was fancy, but not pretentious. Honestly they had my heart the second they suggested macaroni cupcakes (seriously....amazing).

We had a tasting a couple of months before the wedding and everything was fabulous. We still decided to throw caution to the wind and request an appetizer that we didn't have the opportunity to try at the tasting (we were planning long distance so we couldn't do multiple tastings and did our somewhat last minute) -- the mini buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwiches. The little grilled cheeses turned out to be my favorite thing that we ate -- INCREDIBLE!

They also set up 2 food bars (a biscuit bar and a mac and cheese bar) that everyone RAVED about. And in lieu of a groom's cake we opted to pay homage to the city that we met in (New Orleans) with a bananas foster bar! All of the food and desserts were amazing!

The staff was also great. The bartenders and waiters were professional and looked put together. I didn't feel like I had to worry about anything the whole evening. And as we left our reception the planner pulled out two HUGE bags from the caterers with all of our leftover food (8 to-go boxes) which were HEAVENLY as a midnight snack and again the next morning (afternoon).

I can't say enough great things about Dana and Zest as a whole!

The owners of Zest, Hannah and Dana, are AMAZING!!! We also used their wedding planner, LaDonna, who was great and very affordable! From my first phone call with Hannah, I loved Zest! Hannah, Dana, and LaDonna were all very quick to respond to emails, phone calls, and texts. Before the wedding, I met with Zest at least 4 times which put my mind at ease and made the day of the wedding seamless. The tasting was delicious as was the food at our wedding. We went for a modern southern theme and it was unique and yummy. Zest worked with our other vendors, especially the florist and band, to make sure everything fit and functioned in the ballroom which was a little tight on space. They were patient when we asked to make changes or additions and always made our requests happen. They helped us keep costs down by allowing us to purchase our own alcohol and garnishes for their bartenders to use and even helped us by giving us a suggested shopping list with quantities included. On the night of our wedding LaDonna brought us food right after the ceremony for my husband and I to snack on before our formal reveal. Also, Dana snuck us into the catering kitchen to peak into the reception before we joined our guests which was a neat idea. Even though Hannah was working another wedding that night she came and joined Dana at the end of the night which was sweet. My husband, my parents, and I were all very impressed with Zest and would highly recommend them!

Hannah and Dana of Zest Atlanta Catering are a delight to work with. They are responsive, professional and FUN to work with. Their food is amazing (try the biscuit bar!). Hannah worked my daughter's wedding. My daughter and I had inadvertently placed 8 people at several tables instead of 10 people and threw off our table numbers. We needed more tables than we had told Hannah, but she responded quickly and immediately set up two more tables before our guests knew what was going on. Her crew had our venue cleaned up within 45 minutes after the reception ended. And when we said we wanted "elegant", Hannah and Dana knew exactly what we imagined and created the most beautiful venue than what we had even dreamed. I have one more daughter to "marry off" and hope to use Zest in our future!

Dana and his staff went above and beyond for our wedding. They did such an amazing job! The food was so delicious and the set up was beautiful. We had so many positive comments about the food. Zest was AMAZING. I absolutely loved working with Dana to plan my wedding. He went above and beyond being just a caterer for the wedding, but worked almost as a mini wedding planner. The thing that really stands out about Zest compared to other catering companies in Atlanta is the quality of service and their attention to detail. They decorate all the food tables at no additional cost with whatever type of decor you may have in mind. And I'm not talking your cheesy tealight candles with scrunced taffeta table clothes, I mean vintage wine boxes, silver platters, antique cake servers, anything you may have in mind to give your reception that little bit extra you were looking for. Zest also provided our bartenders and linens, both which were fabulous! Did I mention their food was AMAZING? I had so so so many compliments on how great the food was. I can promise no one left our wedding hungry. Dana also did a walkthrough with the event coordinator at my venue and worked out all the details of table arrangements, flow of service, timing, and lots of other stuff that a bride may not think about (or want to think about) for their big day. Hannah and Dana with Zest are amazing! From the first time I spoke with Hannah, she was extremely responsive in sending me a quote and the menu (and pricing) were exactly what I had asked for. Throughout the planning process, Dana and Hannah were always available to answer any questions, suggestions or menu changes if needed.
Dana has a keen eye for design and creating the event that we asked for. He was able to help me rent farm tables that I was looking for, and he brought all kinds of decor that totally fit the theme we were trying to create at the Trolley Barn.
The Number One response we heard from our guests was about the food. We had SO many compliments about every item on the buffet. Truly good food, creative presentation; everyone really loved it. The staff was great as well. All of the servers and bartenders were so nice and having fun at the wedding, not treating it like 'just another event.'

I would HIGHLY recommend Zest Catering to anyone that is looking for a caterer. They truly are passionate about what they do and it shows with the events they put on. Thank you Hannah and Dana for making my wedding reception what it was!

I booked Dana and crew a mere 3 weeks before my wedding and could not have been more pleased and relieved to have found him! He created a menu exactly how I requested (the barbeque, mac and cheese, and fried green tomatoes were a Southern girl's dream!!) within the short time frame I had given them to work with. The tablecloths and flatware were nothing short of perfection and were the perfect compliment to my event. My guests keep telling me how awesome the food was and how perfect the table settings were. My 40th birthday party was a breeze because of Zest! Dana & Hannah helped with everything on the front end - coordinating with the rental company about placement of tent, tables & lighting for this party at our home, effectively acting as event planners, not just caterers. The menu choices offered on our budget were vast - it was hard to choose, but the selections served at the party were perfect and, months later, people still talk about the delicious food! Each presentation at multiple food stations was a work of art. The bar service was so elegant - people really enjoyed having a mix master on hand. I just had Zest cater my wedding on April 29, 2012 and everyone loved it. Working with Dana and Hannah was wonderful. From the first conversation, Dana was so easy to talk to, and he made a menu that was exactly want I described and couldn't find anywhere else. I don't often give "five star ratings", but in this case, there was no other choice I'm happy to say! Expectations rarely meet reality in this day and age especially when it comes to service and quality. Zest Catering has both attributes in spades.

Working with Dana in the planning stages felt right from the beginning--his proposal was well thought out and I knew he got "my vision" for our Rehearsal Dinner and would do a great job. The tasting later on confirmed my thoughts that this was the right choice. Not to mention his views and suggestions on decor and flowers--he took care of it all.

On the night of the dinner, I walked through the doors of the Mary Gay House to see a room beautifully decorated, tables done to perfection and the flowers centerpieces were perfect. Everything that I had envisioned was right there in front of me! The food was so tasty (still receiving compliments!) -- the Southern Pie Bar was exceptional! The staff was professional and friendly and did their jobs so very well. Hannah was there to supervise as well as Dana and I could completely relax with our guests.

Dana and Hannah and staff: You provided more than professionalism, more than delectable food and presentation, you did far, far more -- you created a memory that will last a lifetime.
