My outdoor rain wedding
Your Dream Day was an essential piece of my wedding experience. Kathy worked extremely hard to make my wedding vision come true. She spoke with me on the phone for many hours, met me for several lunches, several venue tours, and did several run throughs. It down poured on my outdoor wedding day. Kathy gave all my guests umbrellas, she cleaned guests seats with towels, she carried my train above water. The list of things she did behind the scenes to make my wedding perfect - I could truly go on and on. Booking with Kathy and Your Dream Day is an absolute must!! Most importantly Kathy became the emotional support I truly needed during this time and that was invaluable to me -

Kathy is phenomenal to work with! She knows her stuff and is really good at it! We used content creator package. We had videos of our wedding the next day and I loved having all of the little snippets! She also made us a highlight video of the whole day and other small videos of other precious moments. We 100% recommend! -

Friend for Life
This is going to be a long one, but Kathy is SO worth it! Kathy and I first met during one of many rough times in my life. I had just lost two wedding venues (one closed and one gave our date away) and had just had arm surgery (which I was awake for and it didn't go great, so I was very traumatized at the time) and I was running late trying to parallel park my car with one arm. I remember Kathy calling and me crying on the phone saying how I was struggling to park and Kathy offered to park the car for me. The moment she whipped that car into its spot, I knew she was the one for me. I have numerous health issues and trying to explain my dream wedding and how those issues fit into it, as well as all the normal overwhelming aspects of wedding planning, seemed daunting to explain to a stranger, but Kathy really understood. She got it. Meeting Kathy was one of the best things that ever happened to me honestly. She not only got my wedding back on track, but became one of my closest friends and confidants. Kathy helped me find the most amazing vendors, from the photographer to the DJ, and averted so many crises, from helping find someone to rescue my dress the day before the wedding after the alterationist didn't finish it (but said he did, amongst other issues) to making the random "bubble guy" disappear (apparently people follow wedding parties now and literally stalk you to the church and then offer to blow bubbles for photos for money, but he wouldn't leave after we said no until Kathy stepped in) and everything in between. If you are the person that crazy, random stuff happens to all the time and you really need someone who is at the top of their game, I cannot recommend Kathy enough. If you are looking for someone who will be a friend and a confidant, a protector and manager and emotional support through a challenging part of your life, I recommend Kathy. If you are looking for someone who is a genuinely kind and happy person who will make you feel safe and better about yourself after every conversation you have with them, I recommend Kathy. Kathy, thank you, truly from the bottom of my heart, for making it Our Dream Day! We love you! -

Wedding planner
If you need assistance for your big day look no further. Kathy has so much experience in the wedding world. She has access to so many contacts that she’s built a rapport with, has many planning tools to help ease your mind and overall is just such a great person to work with. Kathy is very responsive, professional and super detail oriented. She helps with planning and day of process. She runs the show and was assertive AND kind. Weddings have so many moving pieces and she is quick to make decisions on the fly, to keep the couple out of the “drama” and mishaps. She did so many things for us, food runs, battery runs, ironed our dresses, was prepared with emergency kits. All in all to save yourself so much stress book with kathy to have your actual dream day! In the end you will be so happy to have all the help provided -

Thank you thank you thank you
As a DIY bride, my mother and I strived to try and do everything ourselves. As the wedding day was approaching, we realized we could not pull off doing everything ourselves and keep our sanity. We knew we needed help, and then we found Kathy from Your Dream Day, and I think we both were kicking ourselves that we didn’t find her sooner. Kathy took on the crucial details that we hadn’t even thought about. She made sure everything went smoothly from rehearsal dinner to reception. She continuously went above and beyond for us, and cannot imagine the day without her. My advice for future brides is to get you a Kathy for you dream day 🤍 -

Your Dream Day crew was absolutely amazing! They took my vision and brought it to life. Kathy was so well organized and made sure everything was perfect. Through out the planning process Kathy was there for solutions and ideas. I could have never made it through the stress of planning without her. Caring, Creative, and Competent
Kathy is a great person and wedding planner. Our reception was "nontraditional" due to the pandemic and a surprise/unwelcome cancer diagnosis. The reception ended up being held on our two-year anniversary. Even though we had hired her prior to everything when we first got engaged, she was compassionate and understanding about our need to delay and be flexible. She helped us navigate that and always worked at 110% to bring our vision to life in its adapted form. Kathy listened to every part of our vision and requests (broadcast the derby?... "yes, let's do that!" Serve mint juleps?... "How fun!" Skip the traditional wedding cake?... "great idea. Let's save a ton of money by buying sheet cakes and serving it straight from the kitchen!" and so on.) She brought all of our visions to life, and our guests have told us that it was the best wedding that they have ever attended. We are so grateful! -

She knows the wedding scene in Cincinnati, where we got married, and once she got to know us, she knew the sorts of places that would be the best fit for our wedding. Blood sweat and tears she’s your girl!
Your dream day is the perfect name because hiring Kathy is exactly what made it that. I thought I could do this all myself and when it comes down to it, I didn’t want to remember how stressed I was making sure little details were happening behind the scenes. I wanted to relax enjoy my day and my husband. I literally could not have done this without her. She works hard, she runs, she sweats, and she makes sure the day happens exactly how you need it. She also was very good at reacting to a slight change in something and making it happen and moving on. She is a good listener and makes sure not only the bride and groom are taken care of but everyone else too. She is on top of it and all the questions I got everyday from family about the wedding day my answer was “Kathy’s got it.” She did. When she says she’s the first there and the last to leave she is. After the wedding we had minimal work to do, she had our cars packed with all our decorations, cake she cut for us, leftover food, our sand ceremony wrapped in bubble wrap etc. unbelievable how easy she made our day. The good lord made our paths cross at just the right time and I am so blessed they did. You should hire her! -

Kathy is a Rockstar!!!!
Kathy was absolutely amazing! My fiance is from Ohio but we live in Las Vegas, so I had to plan our wedding from almost 2,000 miles away, sight unseen. And, given the fast approaching wedding date, I relied HEAVILY on Kathy's experience, judgment, and contacts. After only 2 telephone calls, she totally got my style and understood exactly what we wanted. She arranged tours, meetings, and tastings for all our vendors that we conducted during our only weekend visit. She even secured us some pretty great deals with our vendors. To say that Kathy is a superstar at her job is a true understatement. I will forever be indebted to her for helping make my dream a reality! -

Stress Free
A wedding day is truly a day to be enjoyed and remembered by all those in attendance but most certainly the wedding couple. Kathy was able to make a task that has the reputation of being so difficult to plan and made it a breeze. The parents of the bride and groom were able to relax and enjoy the entire day without interruption as Kathy attended to each and every need as it arose. From planning to execution, we could not have asked for a more stress free process. Before the day was done, a bridesmaid had secured Kathy to plan her wedding once she experienced this attention to detail. A wonderful day that was enjoyed by all, is testament to the excellence in planning that we enjoyed by having Kathy plan our daughter's wedding. -

My sister had been so stressed trying to plan a wedding, so I am so grateful that I found Kathy in The Knot! She took care of a huge portion of the planning and made my sister’s wedding day stress free! She and her assistants even helped pack up long after most of the guests had left. If I had advice for anyone on planning a wedding, it would be to HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER! Kathy was such a huge help when planning my wedding from giving advice to making recommendations on vendors to decoration inspiration. From our first meeting, she really took the time to understand exactly what we wanted our big day to be like and what things were most important to us. Our wedding turned out perfect and exactly what we wanted. Not only was it beautiful, but Kathy really helped us add little details that fit my husband and I’s interests. Also, on the day of, the last thing you want to do is have to worry about anything. With Kathy and her team being there, I was able to enjoy my day and relax and not have to be stressed or worried if things were getting done. Thank you, Kathy, for making our day wonderful! -

I can not say enough good things that would equal the amount of things Kathy did to make sure our day was even better than we had hoped!! Kathu came into our wedding process just two weeks before our wedding and took over all my stress, all the fine details, everything! Not only did she make sure the day of schedule went smoothly, she made sure we all were fed and hydrated from coffee and breakfast to lunch and snacks. She set up our venue, twice I might add, due to rain! She kept our venue in line when the coordinator wanted to be sassy and act like a jerk. She made sure everything I wanted, I got. We didn't have to allocate a family member to get our flowers or our cake, kathy and her team did it all. When it was time to clean up, we didn't have to lift a finger. Got up the day after our wedding and our cars were loaded full of our belongings and leftovers, she returned our guys tuxes to save them the headache and their literal headaches from hang overs. She went above and beyond the call of duty 10x over! She is so sweet and accomadating and worked her butt off!! Everyone at the wedding commented on how great she was and how beautiful it was because of her!! I will never be able to thank her enough or repay her. If you find yourself asking yourself if a wedding planner is worth it, stop right there because YES YES YES she is worth so much more!! I will reccomend any and every bride to her for the rest of her career! Kathy thank you so so much, you were our savior!! -

From the start - encouraging my daughter and wife to use a wedding planner was by far THE BEST thing I did. She then made it easy during there first meeting - I think you called it a "date?" You were the second planner they met that day. Did you know she cancelled the interview with the third? It was an instant level of comfort, professionalism and support. use a wedding planner, and use Kathy! Very up to date on the different style of weddings that are out . Kathy was spot on and helping with different vendors to use that fit our needs and our vision for the wedding and reception. I definitely will be using Kathy for my second daughter. -

After unexpectedly going thru 3 different venue planners (at the same venue) in less than a year, and losing the last venue planner the week of our wedding, Kathy (our wedding planner, not our venue planner) did an amazing job at making sure our wedding day was exactly what we'd designed. If she hadn't been there to assist in the 11th hour reconstruction of our wedding, I don't want to think about what it would have been like versus the "wasn't even a single hiccup" wedding we had. If you're looking for an energetic planner that has several weddings under her belt, Kathy's your person. -

Kathy was amazing ! She did an awesome job helping find a venue, photographer, and a caterer. She paid attention to what we wanted and made everything come together. Super easy to talk to and was always there during the stressful times leading up to the big day. I would recommend her and her team in a heart beat. Kathy Piech-Lukas and her team were fantastic! My husband and I were from out of town planning our wedding in Northern KY/ Cincinnati area and felt as though we were choosing blindly for many of our vendors. She asked a lot of questions to help us figure out what we wanted... and when we weren't sure what we wanted, she gave us a variety of options at different price levels so we could be sure to stay in budget and still get top notch quality. The vendors we chose knew her team & they worked well together. We had a few vendors she had never worked with before (family or friends of ours), and she made sure that everything ran smoothly. The day of she showed up with a little kit of handy dandy items to help me & the girls get ready. There were a lot of issues with our reception hall the day of the wedding, and Kathy and her team made sure it didn't impact us or our guests. Also at the last minute we had about 30 guests not be able to make the reception and Kathy and her team made sure to coordinate the change of plans with our reception hall (and when the reception hall didn't make the changes the day of, her team was there to fix it before guests arrived). We were also able to borrow a few items from her so we didn't need to purchase some extras, that definitely helped us cut our costs. Thank you so much! -

I waited pretty late to realize I should hire a day-of coordinator, and I'm so glad I found Your Dream Day. I needed help setting up my ceremony (meeting chair delivery, decorating) and reception (dropping off decorations, overseeing set up, etc) and the 5-hour day-of package perfectly suited my needs. I worked with Kathy during prep who was so responsive, great with all of my questions, and with Kerry as my day-of coordinator. In the week before the wedding, I emailed with Kerry, we met to discuss final details and arrange logistics, and the day of she was prompt, energetic, kind, and so, so helpful! Kathy and her associates made our daughter's wedding a thousand times easier to enjoy. They handled all of those little details that we thought about for months and those that we never thought of and took many of our worries and concerns away. Kathy was excellent in coordinating with us and putting my daughter's mind at ease. We really appreciated so much all of extra things Kathy did after the wedding from aiding us in cleaning up to returning our tuxedos for us and many more things in between. We were quite relieved after such a big day. Kathy and her team made believers out of us about the benefit of having an excellent wedding planner and definitely played a big part in making the wedding and reception a beautiful and huge success. It was a delight to have Kathy and her team as our daughter Aimee's wedding planner. -

I used Kathy as my wedding planner for my wedding. The wedding was on a Friday, which made my rehearsal on a Thursday, thus creating a less than ordinary wedding calendar of events.
Kathy attended and orchestrated the rehearsal wonderfully. Some crucial members of rehearsal arrived about half an hour late so we had about 20 minutes to do the physical run through of the processional. Kathy had done so much planning/organizing/communicating before the run through that it went perfectly and there was no need to do a second run through.
The day of the wedding Kathy showed up with an entire suitcase full of items that I may or may not need during the course of the day. She was on time and ready for anything. She spent the morning communicating with every vendor and making sure that everyone was on schedule.
During the wedding and reception she played more of a behind the scenes role. I didn't see her a lot after the processional but I know she was there because everything went according to plan.
When my husband and I arrived in our honeymoon suite that night what we saw was stunning. There were rose petals, candles, cake, and champagne waiting our arrival. It was such a special touch that meant a lot to us.
The wedding was absolutely perfect and went off without a single hitch. This was largely due to Kathy and her help with planning and organizing before, during, and after the wedding. Kathy is an amazing planner and I don't know what I would have done without her! I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for or are even considering a planner. -

We were so impressed with Kathy from Your Dream Day. As an event planner myself and an out of town bride, I wanted someone I could completely trust and Kathy was it. Not only did she understand my vision, she completely loved every detail (even if there were a hundred!) and was on board to make it THE most special day of our lives. Kathy and her team were there to make absolutely everything perfect for us and the day could not have gone any smoother.

There are so many details you lose sight of when it gets down to crunch time. Kathy was excellent! She kept me calm and helped me take care of all the loose ends. She reminded me of important things I would have forgotten about. I felt much better knowing Kathy was there the day of my wedding to keep things going smoothly. Kathy knows her stuff when it comes to weddings and she is very passionate about what she does. Being the groom, I didn't really grow up thinking of my wedding day. But with the help of Kathy and Your Dream Day Cafe, I can unequivocally say that it will be one of the best days of my life. I never had to worry about anything regarding the execution of the details on the day of the ceremony, and Kathy was great in handing potential last-minute issues. Although I don't plan on getting married a second time, it was awesome to work with Kathy. -

I had recently moved to the area with my fiance (no friends or family in the area) and had no idea where to start with my wedding. Hiring her made my life 100 times easier and I actually go to enjoy my wedding. I originally went to Cady for my floral arrangements. She was very accomodating with my changing schedule, but worked around it to set up times that were convient for me. Cady was very interested in making this one part of my wedding day perfect. She listened to what I had envisioned for me wedding and made the appropriate suggestions that would fit in my budget!
But Your Dream Day Cafe offers much more to offer! There are cake samples from local bakeries, sample table arrangements, candy buffets and an entire section filled with information from local vendors! You can always find information online, but it's not the same as being able to look and compare services among many vendors. Plus, the staff is always nearby to offer suggestions.
If you're planning a wedding in the Dayton area, you MUST check out Your Dream Day Cafe! -

I was greatly impressed with the services provided by Floral V Designs. I had a destination wedding in Tennessee and the flowers were packed and arranged perfectly. They were just as beautiful on our wedding day 3 days later as they were when we picked them up. My bouquet has dried in perfect condition and I can't wait to share my professional photographer's photos with them. Amazing!! Thank you! -

Kathy and her team from Your Dream Day are phenomenal! We used the Day of the Ceremony service and couldn't have been happier with the results. Kathy was with us for the rehearsal, making sure all went as planned, and all day on our wedding day. During the week leading up to the wedding she confirmed all of our vendors were on track and handled any last minute questions that came up. We had an issue with our caterer with regard to the cake cutting and Kathy took the situation in hand to make sure that what needed to happen did indeed happen, going well above what was asked of her in our contract. She kept track of all of the minor details, which allowed me, my husband, our wedding party and our families to truly enjoy the day. I highly recommend Your Dream Day to any brides looking for a coordinator/planner. This will be, by far, one of the best investments you will make for your wedding day! -

My husband and I got married a couple weeks ago, and my mom really wanted to have a day-of wedding coordinator. I was unsure, and argued that we could handle everyone ourselves and we didn't need one. But she insisted and hired one. Long-story-short, our coordinator had an emergency and could not be at our wedding. (We found out 3 days prior to our wedding!). She talked to Kathy, the owner of Your Dream Day, who agreed to be with us the day of our wedding. I was wondering, how in three days can someone possibly get everything together? But, let me say, the day of our wedding without Kathy we would have been in trouble!!! She thought of things we never would have thought about (like bringing something to put the Unity Candle in-we never would have thought of that!). She scoped out the sites prior to our wedding day and found which areas were good for getting ready, which had air conditioning and which were hot! She attended the rehearsal and was good at keeping our rowdy group focused without being harsh. The day of, she even brought a cooler full of water and snacks for us! She kept everything and everyone on time (even the groomsmen!), and attended to all of my needs, questions, nerves, etc. Kathy figured out my bustle (which no one else could!) was on her hands and knees spot cleaning my train, and right before the Church doors opened she gave me a hug and reminded me to enjoy every minute, that this was our day:) Throughout the day, she would come to me if I needed her (same for my husband) and all other times she was making sure everything was going smoothly. She even brought sandwiches to the guys while they were getting ready! Also, she confirmed everything with all our vendors, and was there personally to make sure everything arrived and was in good shape. I could go on-and-on about everything she did, but to sum it up, Kathy did it ALL! After our wedding, I had to agree with my mom that we not only needed a wedding coordinator for the day-of, but we needed Kathy. She was efficient, calming, and just so sweet and fun to be around. She had a true positive energy that was exactly what we wanted and needed. Kathy was one person that we could not have done without, and I highly recommend working with her if you want your wedding day to be as smooth and wonderful as ours! -

I am actually the Mother of the Bride and I hired a wedding co-ordinator to make my daughters wedding day as stressless for me as possible, and that is exactly what happened. I had a totally relaxed and stressfree day in large part because of Kathy from Your Dream Day. I had initially engaged Jean from Weddings From The Heart then because of a death in her family Kathy had to take over 2 days before the wedding. You would have thought Kathy had been there from day one. Everything went seamlessly. I would highly recommend both planners but especially Your Dream Day because that is exactly the type of wedding day we had. -

I used Kathy for my wedding on July 11,2015 at the Schuster Center in Downtown Dayton. Everything went perfectly from start to finish. I would highly recommend Kathy to anyone planning a wedding in the Dayton area. She came over to my house the day of and steamed my girl's dresses, made sure all the vendors delivered on time and according to our plan, and basically handled everything while still being in the background. She also filmed my whole bridal party entrance for us and thought of things we did not, like saving menus, place cards, programs, etc from the event. Use Dream Day for your wedding! -

Kathy was a huge help. We hired her for the "day of" the wedding planning/coordination/organization. She was very organized and gave us (at least me!) the confidence that someone other than the Bride knew all that had to happen to make it all come together. We used her guidance on a few things months before the wedding, as she was always only a call or email away and that alone was very helpful and reassuring. First event to plan - I was clueless, stressed out, extremely limited budget, event was 400 miles away from home and only available venue was an old private club with an independent retired Chef with poor communication skills and unprofessional manner. Professional event planner was able to work with these horrible conditions and from what I heard from the town folk was the most beautiful event held in that venue. -

We enjoyed our experience with Your Dream Day. It was nice to be able to just hand everything over to them and have them take care of all of little details that I just didn't want to worry about on my wedding day. However, we did have several comments that the coordiantors were rude and pusshy with our guests. I am not happy about this and I feel like our guests were really taken aback by the attitude that was given to them when some of our guests had come from hundreds some thousands of miles aways. Other than this it was wonderful to have them be apart of our big day! -

Do not book Kathy Piech-Lukas and/or Your Dream Day services to help plan your wedding. You will be very disappointed with the amount of money you spend and what you actually get out of the service. We were sold at the beginning by the fancy software and planning/detail she mentioned, but on the day of the wedding, we found out Kathy had booked other weddings and was frantically jumping between them. She had promised us that we were the only wedding of the day, but we had to find out through a third party that she had lied to us. A tremendous amount of details regarding the wedding were missed because Kathy was not present and her team was not aware of the details we had asked for. Even when she was there, she messed up the food at the after-party and the honeymoon suite was nothing like she had promised. To top it all off, she was running around, sweating and yelling at our guests during the reception. On a day when the bride and groom are supposed to be nervous and in need of a support staff, Kathy was just the opposite making things hectic, disorganized, and incomplete. Sadly, she is what a lot of our guests remember about the ceremony/reception. It was a bad decision to go with Kathy Piech-Lukas and Your Dream Day services and we insist that you do not make the same mistake. -
