Breathtaking views, cozy atmosphere
The mountain top ceremony is unbeatable and unique. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Food was fantastic and the rustic atmosphere at the lodge provided perfectly cozy ambience for a night to never forget. It's been a few months since we got married and we're still daydreaming about our whole experience there!-

Best Day Ever!
We had an absolutely perfect wedding day at Windham Mountain. Our wedding was one of the first under the new mountain management (July 8th, 2023) and they totally knocked it out of the park! They honored our contract and pricing with the previous owners after several discussions.
Coordination: Leading up to our wedding, Erika was an absolute dream to work with - we were really appreciative of her flexible schedule for calls and visits with our hectic work schedules. She was so patient as we were working to bring on vendors on a pretty tight timeline and ironing out details. She even managed to get our favorite local craft beers on tap! We had a somewhat unique schedule - we hosted our ceremony in our backyard and then brought people up the ski lift for a toast at the top of the mountain, cocktail hour at the base, and dinner and dancing in the Club Room and all of the movement between locations was completely seamless.
Food: It was so nice to be able to taste the menu in advance and finalize our decisions. If you have the time to do this - I highly recommend it! Chef Shamus is phenomenal - our cocktail hour food was absolutely delicious (and plentiful!) and dinner was delightful. I have no idea how he cooked perfect steaks and fish for 110 people at once, but he did! Our guests (many of whom are super picky) continue to compliment the food at our wedding. They were also incredibly accommodating of allergies, kosher eaters, etc. The whole serving and bartending staff were so kind, friendly. and fun!
Location: In addition to the food, the other thing our guests haven't been able to stop talking about was the ski lift ride to the top of the mountain. It was such a unique experience and the group shot we took at the top will forever be my favorite. It was such a refreshing way to kick off our celebrations and gave us a chance to show our guests a beautiful view of the Catskills (without them having to hike for it!) Our cocktail hour on the patio at the Umbrella Bar was so fun - we loved the flexible seating, from fire pits to picnic tables, it gave all of our guests total flexibility to hang out how they wanted to before dinner. It also gave us tons of space to speak with everyone. The proximity to the Club Room also gave us the opportunity to run inside and sneak a peak at our setup without missing out on too much of the Cocktail Hour. The Club Room was everything I dreamed of in a venue for dinner, so cozy and perfect! Erika managed to get our tables exactly how we wanted them including a massive 18-person head table. We had an extremely specific seating chart and she made sure every person was at the right seat! The dance floor really is the perfect size - and the proximity of the (massive) bar was so convenient. Erika also helped coordinate an installation of the largest feasible disco ball through one of the room's chandeliers - a move that totally made the dance floor festive.
After Party: We hosted an after party at Tavern 23 - the food hit the spot and the space was great - the firepit outside was nice for those who wanted to just catch up and inside music kept the party going.
Transportation: James was a total pro - our guests (and we!) really appreciated the transportation the Mountain provided.
Bridal Suite: Even though we had our ceremony at our house - it was great having access to the extremely large bridal suite throughout the evening. I appreciated the storage and location for changing into a reception dress.
Accessibility: I've heard horror stories of strict timelines for when setup can start or having to make sure everything is out the night of the wedding. This was the total opposite - I was able to visit The Club room the Thursday before my Saturday wedding and drop off everything, see the tables set up and walk through final details well before my guests started arriving into town. And there was no rush after the wedding to pick things up. I was able to go over the day after and grab all of the leftovers - from bathroom baskets to my high heels to my personal skis our florists worked into an arrangement!
Backup Plan: Another thing that differentiates this venue is the included backup rain plan. Thank goodness we didn't need it, but it gave us such peace of mind knowing we had a great backup spot for our ceremony.
Our other (amazing, highly-recommended) vendors included:

A view and experience to remember
Windham Mountain did such an incredible job making our wedding the perfect day for us and our guests! The venue itself is the perfect combination of outdoor beauty and a beautiful indoor reception. The lift ride up the mountain is such a unique and fun experience for guests and the view makes for beautiful photos. Kelly was super helpful and easy to work with in all the pre-planning and kept the wedding day moving smoothly. Her team help to accommodate custom bar requests and the food was delicious. All of my guests commented that they were shocked at how good the menu, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. -

Very responsive, professional, flexible
Windham was an excellent, beautiful venue for our wedding. They were extremely responsive throughout the entire planning process, and when the weather didn't cooperate for the summit ceremony had a beautiful back up ceremony location that overlooked the valley.
The reception space is gorgeous as well, and the food was delicious.
They made the entire process easy and stress free.-

Amazing staff, beautiful scenery, fell in love at the first visit!!!
My wife and I got married up at Windham Resort October 11, 2020. With everything going on during Covid, we had only our ceremony this year but still chose to do it at our original venue. And it did not disappoint! It not only was the best day of our lives up until this point, but I can speak for both of us when I say that Windham went above and beyond to make our day amazing even through a pandemic. They were so understanding and sympathetic to the “2020 wedding planning” situation. This is supposed to be a joyous time and they helped us feel as calm as one could through everything going on. Of course, there were rules and guidelines set forth by the Governor that they had to enforce and we followed without hesitation. Our event coordinator, Erika, was extremely helpful from the day we took the tour and put down our deposit to the day of our ceremony. She always was very attentive and always found time to talk to us in regards to any of our concerns or questions. 10/10 highly recommend this location for a rustic beautiful fall wedding. The foliage that time of year is perfect and our pictures really capture how amazing the scenery and entire day was.-

Compassionate, Careful, and Flexible During COVID
COVID Review: We booked with Windham in September 2019 because of the gorgeous view, stunning indoor venue options, and great reviews about Erika. Now, after getting married in September 2020, we are SO GRATEFUL we worked with Windham.
First, the venue. They have a beautiful mountaintop platform and a great indoor/outdoor backup for the ceremony in the breezeway. Having a backup location with air flow and shelter this year gave us a lot of peace of mind. The indoor venue (which we are planning to use for a larger celebration with all our guests post-COVID) is beautiful and, although we opted for outdoors, the rooms have a 120 or 400 person (I think) capacity depending on your room. I am not sure the photos online always do the indoor space justice and encourage you to visit in person. Windham was one of the few venues we found that had the mountaintop scenery we were looking for and the upscale accommodations we preferred. It felt like we got the best of a mountaintop and formal venue.
Second, the team’s communication, empathy, and agility were unparalleled. This year, Erika, Jenn, Frankie, Shamus, and Ashley helped us transition to a much smaller guest list and seated dinner and then helped us move the entire event outdoors. The settings were gorgeous. Windham has tables, linens, chairs, and a fairly elegant set up as a starting point. They made sure this elegance translated to the outdoor space. They were great at adapting to local regulations and very helpful in accommodating our comfort levels, which were often a bit more restrictive than the laws and CDC guidelines. Frankie personally built our archway and helped get everything set up both mountaintop and at the base. Jenn helped with all flow day of.
Third, the food. It needs its own paragraph. Chef Ashley worked hard to design a menu that reflected our relationship and told our story. Every detail was personalized. She had amazing appetizers, a creative salad, and incredible entrees and desserts. She, unfortunately, had to have an emergency (non-COVID) procedure right before the wedding, but the Windham team came to us with a solution rather than a problem and introduced us to Chef Shamus as our day-of chef. He sourced local ingredients and made sure we had the freshest produce to serve our guests. He also met with us to fill in and finalize the menu for our guests with restrictive diets. The end result included a duck confit over Parmesan gnocchi with peas; lamb lollipops with chimichurri and potatoes; and a Chilean sea bass in a beurre blanc sauce that was honestly too tasty to capture in text. In addition to our wedding cake, we had (very popular) cookies and cereal milk shooters with Rice Krispie rims for texture and optional Rumchata - a playful adaptation of a cereal milk dessert that we have loved for years. Jenn helped us source all the alcoholic beverages we wanted and found the local beers we were looking for on tap.
Finally, 2020. We have heard horror stories from friends and family who were also planning events this year. Windham has been adaptable, open, and immensely helpful throughout. They truly understand that we are all working with something unprecedented. They were gracious and re-assuring in helping us figure out our deposit use. They were so good, that after planning a COVID wedding, we still want to work with them for our (eventual) larger scale celebration. It is a difficult year to build your life. Windham worked hard to make this a beautiful, special, and safe celebration and a day of so much joy in the midst of uncertainty. The best way to describe the planning process is this; when the challenges seemed overwhelming, we called Erika. She always had a solution.
We are so grateful to the entire Windham team for your detail oriented nature, wonderful facilities, and adaptability throughout. We cannot wait to work with you for our eventual larger-scale party/celebration in easier times.

Absolute beautiful venue!
Windham Mountain is the perfect place for a wedding, especially during the fall. The views are absolutely breathtaking! Our ceremony was held at the summit, followed by cocktail hour on the patio and reception in Seasons. Seasons comfortably fit our guest list of 300 people. I cannot say enough about the staff at Windham Mountain, Tim especially. He was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process. The day of was stress free because he was so efficient! Erika was also helpful in the beginning stages, deciding on food and drink packages, availability, etc. The chef Chris and his staff created the most delicious menu. The bar staff was quick and personable. I could go on and on about how perfect the day was! I would 100% recommend this venue to any couple!-

Best wedding
I cannot even put into words how amazing our Windham Mountain wedding was. From working with Erika in the beginning, to having Tim organize everything perfectly on the day. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect outcome with the most accomadating and friendly staff here. Chef Chris worked with us to create a unique menu and his culinary brilliance shined through every single bite. Thank you to Erika, Tim, Chef Chris and his staff including the waiters and waitresses who did a phenomenal job ( thank you to waitress Casey who allowed us to enjoy our food on our wedding day). -

A Perfect Place for a Wedding
Windham Mountain Resort is an amazing place to hold a wedding. Our experience there was nothing short of incredible. Our three primary contacts were Erika DeWitt, Tim Ohle, and Chef Chris Arquiett. Erika gave us our initial tour and was always available to answer our follow-up questions. She spent a lot of time with us on our first visit and showed us around. Windham has multiple areas for ceremonies and receptions – in fact, another wedding was setting up as we toured, so it was a great opportunity to see what the place can actually look like during a real wedding. Once we chose a date and booked it, Tim Ohle (Culinary/Special Events Manager), became our primary point of contact until our wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Tim. This guy is THE BEST. We booked with only 7 months to go, and Tim was far and away the best thing about Windham Mountain. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly – FLEXIBLE. He worked with us to select everything from locations to linens. He helped us get custom beers, wines and menu items. He answered our 8 million questions and never demonstrated even the slightest bit of annoyance (and believe me, the hubs and I can definitely ask annoying questions). When we wanted to squeeze a few more guests into the smaller (but better) room, he literally got us 150 chairs that would make the table arrangements feel less crowded. Come on - THE MAN GOT US ALL NEW CHAIRS! As the ceremony grew closer, we were introduced to Chef Chris. He couldn’t have been nicer, more genuine, or more flexible with his menu. We spent a morning with him tasting various items and going over our likes and dislikes. He cares deeply about his food. We decided to do the Summit Stations dinner (sort of like a buffet, but with a dozen or so different stations of various types of cuisine). Let me tell you what all of our guests had to say after our wedding: “This was hands-down the BEST food we’ve EVER had at a wedding.” From an incredible fish carving-station (that’s right – huge whole mahi-mahis carved right in front of the guests) to a dumpling/dim sum station, the food was fresh, delicious, beautiful, and plentiful. GO WITH THE SUMMIT STATIONS – YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. I had mentioned to Chef Chris at our tasting that duck confit was my favorite dish, ever. While we couldn’t incorporate it into the menu, Chris surprised me with it on my wedding night. He had specially prepared some duck confit – just for me. It was really an amazing gesture, and demonstrates just how meaningful his clients’ happiness is to him. Our wedding day didn’t go exactly as planned. We had intended for our guests to take the ski lift to the summit for the ceremony (you know, as you do when you get married on a ski mountain). We knew the inherent risks of this from the moment we booked – if Ski Patrol saw lightning, the lift would be closed. A thunderstorm an hour before the wedding quashed our plan, and Tim quickly rolled with the punches and got us set up in the Plan B location. He was patient and kind with me (because I was definitely vocal about my disappointment), and the ceremony was beautiful anyway. We did our reception in The Club – a gorgeous room with an Aspen lodge-like feel. Service was amazing. Bartenders were amazing. Everything was amazing. Windham Mountain Resort was hands-down the best choice we made. The people there are kind, honest and trustworthy. The prices for an event of our scale (150 people) absolutely CANNOT be beat. Let me repeat: Windham is very affordable. One of the reasons we chose to book here was because it’s one of the few venues we visited that will do a “hosted bar” (essentially you pay per-drink as opposed to an open bar for 150 people). If you’re on a budget, consider this as an option – none of your guests will know, as it doesn’t appear any different than your traditional open bar. I can tell you that we saved over $5,000 by going with a hosted bar. Overall – Windham Mountain is a beautiful place to have a wedding. The staff there will work with you to give you whatever you need. When you’re there, they treat you like family.
To Erika, Tim and Chris: We love you guys. THANK YOU for everything.-

Wedding in The Club. Can only say that from the first conversation with Erika to Tim and his team providing professional service, accommodating to make sure everything was how we wanted it. Class act, as per so many of our guests.
Definitely recommend Windham from the Scenery, the Town, and the service.

June wedding
Everything was perfect! The summit ceremony was absolutely gorgeous, the cocktail hour and the reception inside the venue were a blast. The staff were quick to respond to back and forth emails and phone calls about getting everything ready for the big day. Erika Dewitt and Tim Ohle really made my wife and I feel as they cared about our wedding day as much as we did. We had a large party there of 200 people. I would highly recommend windham for a wedding.-

Unforgettable wedding weekend!
We are so happy we choose to have our wedding at Windham Mountain Resort! We were sold on it as soon as we saw The Club. We loved how rustic yet elegant it looked. Once we booked a date, Erika was very helpful throughout the entire planning process during the year leading up to our wedding. We had pictured having the summit-top ceremony and patio cocktail hour however it turned out to be really windy with freezing rain on our wedding day. Tim was our day-of coordinator and worked with us the entire week leading up the wedding to come up with a plan A, B, and C. He was super responsive, flexible, organized, and calming- everything you would want in a day-of coordinator. We went with our back up plan and had the ceremony in the breezeway, cocktail hour in Seasons, and reception in The Club. Even though it was not what we originally pictured, we LOVED the way everything looked and felt. We wouldn't have changed a thing! Every guest commented on how amazing they thought they venue was and had so much fun! And then there was the food...beyond beyond beyond amazing. We had the stations dinner and sadly, I didn’t get to try everything because I was so full! There was plenty of food and it was all high quality and very unique. The guests raved about the food especially the risotto station and cheese station. Chef Chris worked with us to deliver exactly what we wanted. All of the bartenders and servers were incredibly polite and helpful as well! Besides, the wedding itself- we also enjoyed working with The Winwood Inn, Jennifer at the Windham Country Club for rehearsal dinner, and Rockin Mexicana for the after party and morning after breakfast. The food and service continued to be outstanding. Overall we had the best wedding weekend! My biggest advice is not to stress about the weather because it will be amazing no matter what. Highly recommend Windham! -

We are so glad we picked this venue!
Honestly, if I could give flexibility a higher rating I would. ANYTHING we asked for they figured out for us. The chef worked with us to make the most of our budget, Erika and Tim added extras to help accommodate, and even the Winwood was flexible when we were running behind even though they had another wedding coming in. We never had to worry about weather or mishaps because there were A, B, and C plans. All of this on top of an already beautiful setting made for the perfect wedding! -

Erica was amazing. She was such a great person to work with. We were going to get married at the wheel house but it ended up being very cold and rainy. So I sent Erica a text and she set up the club for us. It was beautiful. -

I could not recommend Windham Mountain more as a wedding venue. The Club is an absolutely gorgeous space. The entire staff was absolutely amazing and the food was SO much more delicious than normal wedding food. The service, ambiance, and all the amenities were perfect. Even though we had more guests than is typically suggested for the space, the venue made it work and we had the best day ever. LOVE Windham! -

From the first email to Erika DeWitt about our wedding to the day of our wedding everything was absolutely perfect. I couldn't say one thing went wrong or was forgotten. The suggestion list for vendors was perfect as well. We used the photographer Joshua Brown and the bakery La Patisserie off the vendor list and they were awesome. I can't say enough good things about Windham. They were so flexible and helpful, our wedding day was absolutely a dream come true. -

Erika DeWitt was a joy to work with planning our wedding. We emailed her after we got engaged in January and met soon thereafter in the middle of winter to tour the venue -- she took us up the chairlift to see the new wedding deck on a super cold day. It obviously helps to have the weather on your side for an outdoor ceremony but the summit wedding was incredible, the mountain is open for mountain biking so the mtn did a great job making sure our chairs were clean and the deck is stunning with ample bench seating. We had cocktails on the patio outside which was such a great way to transition into the reception which was held in the Club Room. The Club Room conjures old mountain ski theme with huge rafters and needed very little in the way of decoration other than flowers and photos that we brought. Erika was very responsive to email and phone calls, and super easy to work with on planning all the details including the day of schedule, the menu, getting access to the facility to set up the things we brought etc. We were so happy that we worked with Windham for our wedding - it was exceptional and the fact that the mountain and Erika are so organized and efficient took a lot of stress out of planning. -

Erika and her team did an amazing job. No question was too trivial during the planning phase, we were able to taste test all of the amazing food to help us choose which ones fit our needs. The entire Mountain staff was helpful during the reception decoration set up, and made sure the bridal party had everything we needed during the day leading up to Ceremony time. They were able to make changes on the fly and made our day special and run smooth. -

My husband and I are SO happy that we chose Windham Mountain for our wedding venue! Both our ceremony and reception were held at Windham, and both were more beautiful than we could have ever hoped for. All of our guests raved for weeks about how much they enjoyed the scenery of our ceremony and the beauty of The Club where our reception was held. Riding a chairlift to a wedding ceremony makes for quite the unique and unforgettable experience! We had an absolutely perfect day thanks to the Erika DeWitt and her wonderful staff. -

Windham mountain was the perfect place for our wedding! As ski patrolers we choose Windham over our home mountain because of the customer service, and quality. (Shhh, don't tell our mountain.)
My husband and I wanted a classy and comfortable place and Windham was it. We could host everyone and rates were reasonable. Every person we worked with was kind, flexible, and willing to help us out. The best part of Windham, besides getting married at the summit, was work with Erika Dewitt. Erika truly wants the best for each couple. She is organized, straightforward, and clear with what she and the mountain can provide. Our wedding day would not have been nearly as amazing without Erika's help!
In addition, it is important to add how wonderful Brian the house DJ at Windham is. Choose him for your DJ and everything will run smooth! He will take care of sound at the top of the mountain, during cocktail hour, and throughout your reception.
Thank you Windham for all the great memories!

Erika DeWitt the event coordinator is a true professional. Her responses to our questions via email were answered within 24 hours. She was always available for information. Erika was flexible with our arrangements even with the serving of pie at this wedding.
What impressed me most as the mother of the bride is that she quietly managed the day with no stress on us. In our case, the weather was iffy for the top of the mountain ceremony. Erika monitored the weather application that Windham uses and delayed the call of indoor or outdoor beyond the cut off time. She told us we were good to have the ceremony at the top of the mountain and it worked! What impressed me most as we came off the ski lift is that she had moved the cocktail hour into the lodge and began it a few minutes early as she knew we were cold coming down off that mountain with the weather change. I could not have asked for more--more daughter and son in law were thrilled with their day, my husband and I enjoyed the day and our guests loved the venue. Thank you Windham--you have made the Janet and Greg Cash very happy. -

Erika was helpful from start to finish with the wedding coordinating! We had a great time with our family and friends! The food was delicious and the scenery was lovely. It was a gorgeous fall wedding with an outdoor ceremony on the stone patio and indoor reception at the Club. The staff were helpful and friendly! The only thing that went "wrong" that day was that the servers did not leave wedding cake slices at the the seats of the people who were dancing...so if you weren't sitting at your spot when the cake was served, you were out of luck. Many of our guests didn't get to enjoy the cake and my mother-in-law did go to great lengths to get us a pretty pricey one. Other than that, everything was great and our guests had a wonderful time. They couldn't get over how pretty the establishment was, inside and out! -

She was incredibly accommodating and kept everything going smoothly through the whole process. She helped to make the wedding planning experience an enjoyable one. The entire experience was fantastic. Everything flew by, but Erica kept it all organized, and responded to all of our crazy ideas and questions the whole way through. The big day went smoothly, with the staff performing their roles in a friendly, professional manner that everyone enjoyed and Erica on top of any little snag that came up. They took all of our needs and special requests in stride including helping to get our massive arbor to the top of the mountain! The chef, Jim, met with us and arranged a buffet that was not only varied and excellent but almost entirely gluten free for the sake of one of our guests. We had many guests come to us and comment on the delicious menu. Overall a wonderful job! -

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Erika DeWitt - she was fantastic! She was able to coordinate all the details of our wedding - menu, custom seating layout, bus to/from the hotel, bar, ski lift to the summit for our ceremony and deal with a frantic bride to boot... she did this all in just 6 weeks! We had to change our venue last minute and were so fortunate to get to work with her.
The reception area was recently redone in an upscale rustic cabin that was very fitting even in the summer - our guests were so impressed. I also had many compliments on the food - the chef did an outstanding job.
We were so pleased to have gotten married on Windham Mountain - we climbed back up to the summit on our 1st Anniversary. I recommend this experience - it's a truly stunning wedding site and much nicer than others in the same vacinity. -

The Lodge at Windham is absolutely perfect for a Wedding venue! The view is fantastic (especially in pictures), the staff was more than helpful, and it is such a unique place that all your guests will be talking about it for years to come!! It truly is a one of a kind place! The great part about Windham is that they are more than willing to work with you and your vision, and they let you take on as many details as you want, unlike all the other banquet halls that do everything in a cookie cutter style.
The kitchen staff were fantastic and at one point one of the staff members came up to me and said, "This is the coolest wedding I have ever been to!" It was so wonderful to hear that after all the time and effort I put into making my wedding and reception unique.
The entertainment staff (DJ Pat) at Windham is beyond what words could describe. Pat was top notch, professional but fun at the same time, the BEST DJ I have ever heard, and I cannot say enough about him. For the most part I gave him an idea of what we liked, and the rest he was able to figure out based on meeting with us a few times and just being around our friends and family. DJ Pat will forever be my one and only choice when it comes to DJ's.
The coordinator (Erika DeWitt) was just as excellent as the DJ. She was able to listen to what we wanted and made it happen. She has excellent ideas from prior events and was able to provide suggestions along the way, always helping with what your vision for the day was. Again, I cannot say enough about Erika.
Windham is such a unique place to have a wedding, and they have a lot to offer!!! Just like my friends and family, your friends and family will be talking about your event here for years to come!!! This truly is a one of a kind facility!! -

We are so happy that we picked to have our ceremony on Windham Mountain! All of our guests had to get on a chair lift to get to the ceremony (they also had a SUV available for those that couldn't make it). It was an incredibly unique experience for everyone! Erika was a great resource and the food was fantastic. We went for the mashed potato bar and couldn't be happier!! What I liked most is that Windham Mountain is not a wedding factory. For some this may have both pros and cons. I liked it because it allowed me the flexibility to make the day how we wanted it to be, but it also meant that there wasn't much guidance on how to set everything up. -

A perfect day
Windham mountain was an absolutely beautiful place to get married - we were lucky to get married at the summit during peak foliage. Windham mountain was incredibly flexible and worked with us to replan our wedding (originally for 200 people scaled down to 30) due to Covid restrictions. We've heard of horror stories from other friends trying to move/reschedule wedding during Covid with other venues but we didn't have to deal with any of that stress with Windham - Erika/Jenn worked with us every step of the way and made sure we still had an incredible day. It was as perfect a wedding as we could possibly imagined - even though it wasn't our original vision. Our family loved the food and some even said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. This place is such a gem and now that it has such a special place in our hearts. -

Despite, or because of, the cold and fog, our wedding here was magical. The ski lift up and down from the ceremony was special, and made the cozy fired roaring in the cocktail room all the more appreciated. We've gotten rave reviews from all our friends and family. The staff was accommodating and helpful, and we never had to be stressed out that they wouldn't get their jobs done. I would recommend Windham without reservation! -

I could not recommend this venue more. From the initial visit, we were so impressed with the service we received from Windham. Everyone (from the wedding coordinator to the chef to the lifties) was so accommodating and friendly. The mountain top ceremony is gorgeous. The food was great and our guests raved about the wedding--the venue, the food, the atmosphere. Do not hesitate to have your wedding here. My only comment is if you are a bride-zilla this may not be for you as I sometimes had to ask a question more than once to get an answer (hence 4 not 5 stars for responsiveness) but in the end, I got all the responses I needed and the wedding was absolutely perfect. -

The bridal suite where we hung out prior to getting announced was not provided very much food or drinks. They said quantity was limited for the appetizers. Having around 150 guests 30 of which were the guests of honor. The VIP room should've been offered food and drinks but instead much of the time they were forced to go out to get drinks and food because only 2 trays in total came in for about 30ppl.
Additionally when my husband and I got off the chairlift and our photographer was taking pictures of us one of the ski lift attendants handed us stacks of linens to carry in. It really was shocking, we were clearly the bride and groom and I felt if was very inappropriate.
Overall we had a wonderful time and found that Windham was a great wedding venue especially for the value and what is offered to you. We would have our wedding there again in a heart beat. Chef Chris takes great pride in his food and he was a pleasure to work with planning our menu. I preferred to work with Erika Dewitt over anyone else. I felt comfortable when she was involved because I felt like things got handled more efficiently. I was fortunate enough to have Erika as our coordinator in the beginning, towards the middle we worked with someone who was less competent and less invested but day of wedding Erika was there and she really did make me feel comfortable like things would be handled to make our day perfect. -

We loved everything about getting married at Windham Mountain. Erika was amazing, attentive and so helpful during the whole process. We had the reception at The Club, which was beautiful and rustic and exactly what we wanted. The food was really great and they let us customize our own menu.
We got married at The Wheelhouse and that was such a cool experience. We got so many compliments about how beautiful the Ceremony was with all the foliage on the mountain.
Erika also helped set up our rehearsal dinner at The Windham Country Club. We had a great time there and the food was great.
We wouldn't change anything about the whole weekend. I'm so happy we chose Windham Mountain. -

Erika and Windham provided the perfect venue for our 100 person wedding. Legends accommodated us very comfortably. All service staff were exceptionally pleasant and responsive. The ride up to the summit was PERFECT -- Erika really thought of everything to make our day run smoothly. We truly had an amazing time. I had to plan this wedding from out of state, and it was a relief to know that the food, venue and day were easily in one convenient location.
One word of caution -- make sure that Erika hasn't booked other events for right after your wedding, or you'll be hurried off the mountain which can be sort of awkward if you're still trying to take photos.
I highly recommend the cocktail hour -- that was one of my guests' favorite parts, as well as the summit ceremony. Erika and staff were VERY flexible when it came to when and how we decorated, and also when/where/how long we took to get dressed and ready the day of.
We were so lucky to find Windham and Erika, and truly, it was one of the best days of our lives! -

We chose the summit ceremony for our vows, then cocktail hour on the patio and finished with dinner and dancing in the club. We were very pleased with the way everything turned out. Our guests loved the venue and thought the food was fantastic. We did not do a tasting prior to the event but were not disappointed. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderfully. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the golf course that is run by Windham Mt. The food and setting for the dinner was terrific too. -

Amazing!!! Working with the team at Windham to plan my special day was just perfect. Erika DeWitt is the wedding coordinator there and she was just amazing. Helpful, prompt, professional....She handled every detail. I couldnt find a venue that matched both my husband and my personality and then someone suggested the Club at Windham and I was sold. It was just perfect. We had an amazing day thanks to everyone there. The only thing we had complaints about was the food being a bit cold. I think thats because we threw them for a loop as we didnt want to pre set the menu and have an exact of what people wanted prior to the day. Other than that every detailed was met and I couldnt be happier with the day!!! Thanks again for making my memory of our wedding day such a lovely one. Wish it didnt have to be over but onto the next chapter. -

Perfect Fall Wedding Venue in the Catskills
Unfortunately we contracted Windham Mountain amidst a change in event management staffing so our communication was less than ideal at the beginning of our partnership. With that said, it greatly improved once they had permanent staff secured and Windham Mountain was a phenomenal fit for our special day. Our guests still rave about their experience months later; some of which say that it was the most beautiful wedding that they had ever attended. The bridal suite was a great size for my bridal party of 7 (plus family & vendors). The groomsmen suite was equally as nice, but with a more masculine feel. The summit ceremony space was breathtaking for our October nuptials and the Umbrella Bar and The Club were perfect for our guests to celebrate with us. The service was great, as was the food and drinks. All in all, I'd recommend Windham Mountain to anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable wedding. They truly do think of everything and work with you to make all of your dreams come to fruition. We booked the rehearsal dinner and after party at Tavern 23 and I have to say that that was one of the best decisions we ever made.-

Breathtaking day to remember in the Catskills
We had the most beautiful wedding this past autumn at Windham Mountain. Our guests still cannot stop talking about how beautiful the colors were and the overall wow factor of taking the lift up to the summit for the ceremony. The bridal suite is enormous, and it was super cool that there was a groom's suite on the other side of the building as well.
Kelly was excellent to work out throughout the duration of planning process and always took time to every single one of my questions (and there were many). She was a great DOC and ensured we stayed as close to the timeline as possible to make sure the day went off without a hitch. The food, drinks, and service were phenomenal from the spiked cider at the summit, to the passed and stationed apps, and every course of our plated dinner.
I highly recommend this venue - I wish I could relive the day a million times!

Mountain Wedding
We booked Windham with the original wedding coordinator Erika but she went on maturity leave and didn't tell us that she had left. Kelly picked everything up and there was a lot of confusion in the beginning but she made sure that we were able to get everything that we were promised in order for our day to go as we envisioned. We changed the layout of The Club and Kelly was more than willing to let us as long as it worked, and it did! They also changed chefs throughout our wedding process so they offered us a tasting a couple of months before our wedding as some of the items on the menu had changed and that was really great. On our wedding day, the food was excellent and the chef really outdid herself. The day of the wedding Kelly made sure everything was going according to schedule and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The staff was great and very helpful the day before the wedding with setting up and the day of. When we went to go pick up everything the day after, they neatly put everything in one corner so the cleanup and packing would be easier for us and it was really appreciated. The people at the lifts were so nice and helped everyone get on and off the lift which was amazing as some people were really afraid. We loved that we had the option to pay extra for one SUV trip up to the mountain so that some of the people that were not comfortable with the lift were still able to see the ceremony. It really was the best day ever! The one thing that could be improved has to do with the Winwood Inn. We just feel as though the communication could have been better and blocking off rooms would have been ideal. However, we did have our after party at the Winwood Inn and the atmosphere, food, and staff were all amazing. -

Beautiful Venue with Incredible Food & Scenery
We were so thrilled with our wedding this past weekend at Windham Mountain. Everything went perfectly - Tim was a wonderful calming presence the day of and helped with everything, from a hiccup with our florist to organizing swarms of people who wanted to take the shuttle rather than the chairlift. The top of the mountain made for some amazing photos. We used both the club for cocktail hour and seasons for the reception, and everything went perfectly. Special shout out to Chef Chris and his team who were an absolute pleasure to work with. We got compliments all night about how good the food was and how friendly and professional the station workers and servers were. This is a wonderful venue for anyone looking to get married in a rustic setting with upscale amenities. Highly recommend. -

We had an amazing wedding at Windham Mountain on June 30th. We had our reception in Seasons. It was amazing to see the "lodge" transformed into a wedding venue. Everything during the reception went just as planned. Guests commented on how nice the staff was and everyone loved the food. From the beginning we worked with Erika who is the event coordinator and then work with Tim for the day of the event. They were great and very accommodating. It did however, sometimes take them a few days to respond to emails. But in the end it all worked out great! Our guests stayed at the Windwood which worked out nicely that it was so close. Overall, it was a great day at Windham! -

The Club at Windham Mountain is a great reception venue. We had a welcoming party at Winwood Inn on Friday night, the reception at The Club on Saturday night, and breakfast on Sunday at the Winwood. All of our guests stayed at the Winwood Inn.
Venue:
In The Club, the dining area is separate from the dancing/bar area, however you can still see and hear what’s going on so it’s not completely removed. While the DJ was playing people could sit at their tables and have a conversation without having to yell. The fireplaces, interior design, lounge areas, exposed wooden beams, etc. gave it a more personal and intimate feel (unlike a standard reception hall). The bar was large enough to accommodate our guests and people rarely had to wait.
Staff:
-For everything up until the day of, we coordinated with Erika. Erika was very down-to-earth and accommodating. Throughout the process, there were a few unanswered emails, but she always responded when I followed-up. There was some confusion leading up to the wedding because the staff was transitioning roles, but everything shook out fine in the end.
-Jenn was our day-of coordinator and she was AWESOME. She was really easy to get along with and extremely accommodating (gave me her cell number and told me to call/text her whenever I had a question). We felt very comfortable being in her hands. The whole night was flawless, thanks to Jenn!
-We also wanted to mention the amazing chef at Windham, Chris. It was important to us to have a vegetarian wedding and before speaking with him, we had come to terms that our options would likely be the standard fare. However, when we spoke to Chef Chris, we were amazed with the delicious and unique menu he came up with for us. The food was amazing and far exceed our expectations.
Winwood:
Staying at the Winwood was fun and convenient. The shuttle ride to Windham was easy and quick and Jared was really friendly (let us keep the bar open longer on Friday).
Highly recommend!

Amazing Columbus Day Weekend Wedding
My husband and I chose Windham Mountain because we have many fond memories of the mountain and surrounding town. Erika and Tim were responsive and easy to communicate with. They were flexible, especially when we were deciding on a rain plan if our plan to get married at the summit did not work out. Luckily, the weather was nice on our wedding day despite much rain the week before. They even arranged a car to bring me from the top of the chairlift to the ceremony space so my dress and shoes did not get dirty! The view and foliage was absolutely breathtaking and my guests raved about the food. The entire experience was something new for many of my guests, who had never ridden on a chair lift or have been to this part of upstate New York before. They also accommodated arranging a ride for a special needs family member and my niece who was too young to ride the chairlift. Working with Chef Chris was a lot of fun and he accommodated our requests to make a special lobster bisque shooter that was nostalgic vacation food for the groom and I. I strongly suggest that you do a food tasting with him before your wedding so you have the same opportunity to customize your menu. Drinks flowed all night long and the bar was well staffed and stocked. The bridal party was able to get ready in and use a special bridal suite for the entire wedding, stocked with drinks and snacks. We did an after party at Rock'n Mexicana and Windham's shuttle buses brought guests there for more music, food and fun. There was also a bonfire outside that people could enjoy. I strongly suggest arriving the day before to bring any seating charts, extra decorations and appointing a person to help set up as set up and clean up were very DIY if you did not use a vendor. We waited two days to pick up our gear after the wedding and had to search for some of our items as some items were in a storage space and others were scattered about. But if you are organized and have someone else do it you will be fine. Overall, it was the best day of me and my husband's life and Windham Mountain made it possible. One last bonus- we will be going up next weekend to use our season pass, that was included because we had our wedding there! You can also choose to pick a season pass for golfing, but we love to ski and snowboard! -

Beautiful Wedding but stressful getting to it.
Pros: Erika was wonderful to work with, but unfortunately she left on maternity leave about 5 months before our wedding. The final person they hired for the coordinator position, Kelly, was also wonderful to work with and was really helpful with deciding our weather plan day of as well as making changes to the schedule for the day of.
It poured then turned to a light drizzle the morning of and Kelly was able to move the entire ceremony to downstairs under the Breezeway which turned out to be ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL alternative to getting married on the top of the mountain and worked in our favor since not all of our guests were thrilled about riding a chairlift. Her ability to work with me and transition to a backup plan so smoothly was a relief the morning of the wedding.
Whether you get married on the mountain, outside under the breezeway, or inside the whole mountain is beautiful as is the lodge for pictures and ceremony and reception. Cocktail hour was outside on the patio and they have corn hole and giant chess that our guests really enjoyed playing while we took portraits.
Getting ready rooms were right next to the reception room. We were able to leave our things in the getting ready room and grab them after the wedding which was a plus not having to move our stuff to the buses or peoples cars before the wedding began.
You get a free season pass the follow ski/snowboard season if you have your wedding there (although I am still trying to get ahold of ours).
Cons: The time between when Erika left (about 5 months prior to the wedding) and when Kelly began (about 1 month) was total chaos. We worked with 2-3 people in between and every time someone new would come on board, they knew absolutely nothing of the plans or anything set for the wedding that we had made so far with the previous coordinator. Things that were offered such as an alternative after party on the mountain, what was offered with that, and pricing was totally different with the next person. It was so much back and forth and confusion which I don't blame the new coordinators since they were filling in the position, but I felt the transition from one coordinator to the next could have been a little smoother and would have been a lot less stressful for us.
Day of was a little hectic with changing ceremony location, but my husband had no idea we had changed ceremony locations until he finally asked where he as the groom should be. They also were not offered coffee, tea, and water like the girls were and just went into the smaller kitchen room off theirs to grab something to drink the morning of. I also wish there was a bathroom in the getting ready room but they r very close to both the getting ready rooms (bride and groom) just have to make sure the bride and groom don’t both leave to use the bathroom at the same time haha
All in all, beautiful location, reasonably priced, good food, beautiful atmosphere, and now that Kelly is definitely their coordinator, I would recommend getting married at Windham. But if she ever leaves and they are in between with coordinators again, be prepared to be super stressed out and on the phone/sending emails a lot..-

We loved our August 2017 wedding at Windham Mountain! It was pure magic seeing our vision come to life for a perfect summit top ceremony. Chef Chris did a phenomenal job accommodating our guests, with every allergy and preference noted and taken care of to a tee. Anna was phenomenal! She took care of every little detail with the most positive attitude and professionalism. She was easy to work with, quick to respond, and great at making sure my last few weeks of planning ran smoothly. I would definitely recommend adding the mountain-top champagne station -- our guests loved it! -

Windham Mountain Resort was a beautiful place to have our wedding! I'm so happy with how everything turned out. Everything went so well that day, and everyone was willing to make sure we were able to get married on the top of the mountain like we planned. The back up plan was in place due to rain coming in but luckily everyone pushed for us to stick with our plan and it worked out perfectly. We are so happy we chose Windham Mountain Resort. Everyone still talks about how good our food was and how much fun they had! -

I loved my wedding at Windham. The venue was perfect for my husband and I who both love outdoor adventures and being in the mountains. I was looking for a site that could do both the ceremony and the reception and didn't have that traditional ballroom look inside. Instead, we had our wedding on the top of the mountain (riding a chairlift to the top) and our reception inside the Adirondack-styled members only Club area. Aesthetically, this venue was perfect for us.
The staff was also wonderful during the event. As the bride, I never went without food or water during the event. Everyone made sure I was well tended to. During the process of planning for the wedding, I wish I had a greater attentiveness of the wedding coordinating staff...sometimes my emails were just not responded too or there was a significant delay. This made it a little difficult because I did not live in the area so much of the planning had to be done via the phone or email.
Also, cell service can be a bit touchy in the entire town of Windham so be sure to consider that when planning your event. We had made a pretty intense wedding weekend itinerary so it didn't affect us too much.
I would also recommend going outside the town of Windham to find vendors. Windham is so small that you are really limited with choices. I found many of my vendors in Saugerties and they were fantastic!
Overall, I had an amazing wedding at Windham and wouldn't have changed anything about that special day! -

Beautiful venue
Windham Mountain Resort was the first and last place we visited when choosing a venue for our wedding. The gorgeous views and beautiful banquet halls were enough to convince us. The staff were courteous and flexible. They helped us to set up our own speaker system for our outdoor wedding and provided special food for some of our guests who had very restrictive diets. We are very pleased with our choice of Windham Mountain Resort for our wedding. -

My husband Joshua and I had the absolute very best wedding day on Saturday, June 17th, 2017! We truly loved Windham as the destination. For the reception, the food was phenomenal. Chef Chris is amazing and tailored the menu perfectly to be exactly what we wanted. We had a wonderful tasting meeting with him and March, and he made everything truly perfect! Our guests are still raving about the food. There was some difficulty with the planning process, and the venue coordinators on the day of the rehearsal and the actual wedding day were not as helpful as expected. The was lack of direction in where we should go after the ceremony for pictures without being around as the guests were heading into the reception space, or when it was time to walk down the aisle was not clear, but thankfully my family and I were able to work it all out. Our Pastor's wife was wonderful and played the role of coordinator for helping everyone to line up and be in the right spot for the ceremony. All in all, it was the very best day ever because we were joined as man and wife before God, our families, and our friends. Our Pastor shared the love of Jesus in our ceremony and helped many people to see how deeply loved they are by our Father in Heaven. Even with the little blips here and there, Windham was a great venue, at a great price. Thank you for making our wedding day the very best day of our lives. -

We had our wedding here, as it was just redone and a beautiful venue. Absolutely, 100% it was gorgeous. Erika worked so hard at everything and it turned out wonderful. The one major downfall, which people still talk about, was how HORRIBLE the BAR situation was. Every single bartender had an attitude with customers, CHARGED MY HUSBAND (on our wedding day) for beer (which was OPEN BAR). There was no refund to him or even an apology from the bartenders. They turned people away for coming up to the bar too many times. There were no problems due to alcohol with any of our guests, just the rudeness from the bar staff. We paid for extra time at the venue ahead of time (as to not make it an inconvenience for the workers), but yet the ladies behind the bar were the absolute worst. It was very embarrassing for myself, my husband and my parents. We felt so bad to say this, because Erika was amazing, the food was amazing, the view was amazing, but people do need to know to watch out for the bar staff. We also (the bridal party) were charged $120 for margaritas, and when the best man said never mind to the order, before they were made, the bartenders told him that it was too late, credited him the money back (before they even made these!!!), but told him he had to drink it at the bar... $120 to drink at this bar (which was open bar???). Ridiculous. Thank God we had amazing entertainment, which overshadowed the rude staff.
We also paid ahead of time to keep the Rockin Mexicana Open (which is the restaurant attached to this venue), and were treated with nothing but rudeness from the workers there. We were yelled at for asking about music. The biggest problem with the venue is the workers. If you can't be accommodating on someones wedding day, you should not be working in the industry. Unfortunately, these workers caused a "not so nice" review for Windham Mountain, but again, ERIKA WAS AMAZING to work with, and did a wonderful job herself. -

Terrible communication/coordination, but excellent execution.
Short Version: Windham was a beautiful venue with awesome food service and excellent day-of service from the wait and maintenance staffs, even our "day-of" coordinator, Dina, was very helpful. But the communication and coordination that occurred with Tim throughout the year leading up to the wedding was absolutely terrible and made planning frustrating and stressful, and it only got worse the closer we got to our wedding day. If you are someone who is extremely laid back with planning, I would recommend Windham. But if you are Type A or anything in-between I would not recommend, unfortunately.
Long Version: For reference my wife and I got married 10/11/19. My wife and I chose Windham over other mountain summit ceremony destinations because we liked the atmosphere throughout the mountain the most, and best liked the Plan B ceremony location in case of poor weather. We initially sat down in late summer of 2018 with someone named Erika to put down a deposit and began making basic choices. Around late Spring time, my wife sent around three emails with questions over the course of a month or so to Erika. The third email was forwarded to someone named Tim. Without questioning this too much, we just started contacting Tim instead. Tim was semi-responsive initially. From this point until our wedding, Tim would either half-reply to specific questions in our emails or solely reply with a "call me." We scheduled another visit (we are from Long Island so this was only the second visit) in late August with Tim to go over specific questions and get a better feel for the layout. When he went over the basic information that was established with Erika, the reception location was incorrect, the itinerary wrote arrival for Groom and Groom, instead of Bride and Bride (close?), and his invoice had forgotten to include the 10% discount off food & drink for being on a Friday - not yet a big deal. The other details were correctly listed on our invoice/event form (this becomes important later). I was going to draw a detailed map of the reception venue, but Tim said they would email us a floor plan. I thought that may be a to-scale blueprint, but it was an image seemingly created on Microsoft Paint that I wished was better - still fine though. This meeting sparked more questions that we attempted to have answered through emails, but Tim preferred scheduled phone calls. If he gave us a general day to call him, he would answer saying that he wasn't at his computer and would reschedule the call. There were two occasions when we had a day and exact time scheduled, and he answered saying he wasn't at his computer! One was rescheduled, the other he walked back to his office and called me back. One issue that I had with him was that each phone call, I had a specific list of items to ask/go over and 1) he began the conversations going over the same basic information that was established weeks before and 2) never even saved that information! When he finished going over all that he would say, "If you need anything just give me a holler -" And I would have to cut him off because I hadn't even started my own questions and felt like he was preparing to hang up. That was repeated for the remaining four phone calls we had. The main parts of those calls were asking for the finalized itinerary and the updated invoice (still needing the 10% off), which he put off again and again, saying he would send them. I sent an email (that he requested) including the vendor contacts and a list of names of people unable to take the chairlift up (this becomes important later). Our second to last phone call was 10/5 (!!!!) asking for the itinerary and invoice, he told me he would send it by Monday. I would like to note that he was talking to me while there was another wedding that weekend, which tells me he doesn't budget his time properly to give the day-of wedding the most attention. Wednesday 10/9 comes around, yes TWO DAYS before the wedding and I sent him an email again asking for the itinerary and invoice. Tim replied, "call me." Oh boy, here we go. He AGAIN went over changes we made last week, but the scariest thing was that Tim vaguely explained that there was a miscommunication with the Chef and that I needed to speak to him. The Head Chef, Chris, calls me and says that there was confusion with the food package that we chose (back in August 2018 by the way, correctly reflected on our invoice) and that it was his understanding that it was different. We asked for the "Stations" package with things like a "Mashed Potato Martini Bar" that I was really excited for, but the confusion was that Chris believed it was a "Plated" package, which was choosing an option off of a menu. So disappointing! Chris was incredible about telling us he could work with us and try to make it Stations by being creative he said, but we didn't want to stress more about the uncertainty of that so we let it go to have the "Plated," which Chris said over the phone was cheaper per person anyway. I read this situation as poor communication between Chris and Tim as the initial invoice from months ago (I have every invoice in a binder) reflected the "Stations" package as well as through email with Tim about where we wanted to place the actual stations in the reception, which was extra frustrating. On 10/9, I finally received my itinerary, but the invoice was STILL missing the 10% discount. My wife and I decided to wait until after the wedding to resolve that. Yet another issue we had was with my wife's name spelling! Which we attempted to correct so many times! It is spelled, "Meagan." But was written at Megan so many times, even though it was part of her email AND she signed her emails with her [correctly spelled] name! When we met with Chris in-person the day before when we were setting up, the dinner menu had "Megan." I said, "It's great but we need to add an "a" here," and pointed to between the "e" and the "g". Chris said he would make that change. Later on, we had the walk-thru rehearsal with Tim, which literally lasted only 8 minutes and comprised of Tim talking to us and STILLLL not having completely correct times, for example that the wedding party was coming to get ready at 8am, not 8:30am, no idea how he got that. It was so fast some people missed it. So when he left, and everyone got there we decided to do our own walk-thru practice. The day of the wedding, Tim was non-existent and frankly annoying, as he seemed to have an issue with us doing things slightly differently from the itinerary, i.e. going up the chairlift before guests arrived instead of after saying there was, "no place to hide." But there was a lodge that we asked if we could stand in while our guests took the chairlift and the chairlift operators said yes! So okay, Tim. Dina was awesome and popped up everywhere asking if we needed anything, she also provided food and drinks for the bridal suites, which Tim somehow forgot to tell us was included and we bought things before we knew this (this was actually revealed during a separate phone call between my mother and Tim). Before going up the chairlift we got to see the reception hall, which included the menus on the table, which we looked at and noticed that Meagan's name was spelled, "Meghan" !!?!?!?. Terrifying. Fortunately, our bridespeople said they already took care of it, but come on! When it came down to walking down the aisle, Tim did it oddly slowly so Meagan and I were hardly apart from one another and everyone could see the whole processional, it was kind of weird in retrospect (I didn't notice and it didn't matter at all at the time of course). I was happy to not see Tim much after that as he was not helpful. We found out some issues from guests later on. First, there was the alternative transportation that we had the specific list of guests for that we also provided to Tim upon request, for which apparently the driver did not have or even know about the list, and it was uncertain who was to be getting in the van. We were also promised someone to be directing the guests from the parking lot to the proper locations, like the van or the chairlift, and security to prevent non-wedding customers on the premises, but those did not exist and guests were confused. This frustrated me and Meagan because we asked that to decide if we needed to make more signs, etc. Finally, the day-after, we went to finalize the bill with Tim. Who initially tried to tell us the "Plated" package was more expensive than the "Stations" package, but I had my trusty binder with me detailing invoices and communications, which gave us the proper amount off. His office was incredibly messy and disorganized as was the room where the office came out of, which included a bunch of previous and coming wedding welcome signs. Looking around, we saw one that said, "Welcome to the Wedding of Megan and Sarah, October 11, 2019." That was supposed to be for OUR WEDDING but they spelled Meagan's name WRONG AGAIN, which is why we didn't see it outside!! Unbelievable. Thus ending the chronicles of Tim.
I know I just said a lot about how bad things were because of Tim but I want to include the reason our entire wedding wasn't nearly a one-star experience, which was that the rest of the day-of staff were absolutely beyond incredible - no exaggeration. The cocktail hour had beautiful tents and set-up, the wait staff was phenomenal, I can't say enough about the wait staff who were friendly and seemingly excited about the day. I think Sandra might have been the name of one the staff who was above and beyond incredible. The food was totally delicious, we got so many compliments. Bar staff was good too. The reception hall, Seasons, was well-used and the overall experience of the night was awesome - truly the best day of my life. The execution of the day turned around all the bad that led up to the day. I am so thankful for the day-of staff for making our day amazing.
In conclusion! It was beautiful. The ceremony summit was gorgeous, and the cocktail hour and reception were perfect. The year or so of planning was frustrating and stressful, far more so than need be in my view. -

The venue itself is beautiful, unique and just what we were looking for. I believe all our guests had a wonderful time throughout our wedding. However, there were some hiccups along the way when planning, as well as the day of. Each of the three times we visited Windham, we met with someone different from the marketing dept/wedding & events dept who told us different variations of information on what could and couldn't be done (Examples include how many round tables were available, and how many people/cars could be transported up the mountain for the ceremony). Throughout the year+ process of planning, we did have trouble getting timely responses, and had to followup multiple times before getting responses. A few days before our wedding, we were told we would have to move our ceremony from the Wheelhouse to the Summit, which wasn't a big deal for us. However, we were never notified that the ski lift to get to the summit closes at 6pm on Fridays, which was when we originally planned to start the rehearsal. So, my fiance and I had to rush to get all the decorations together with an hour less time than we had anticipated. We were rushed by the coordinator to get up the mountain before all of my bridal party members arrived. During the reception, they turned the AC off, causing it to get quite hot and deter people from dancing. At the After Party, they completely forgot about our order of 3 platters of food we had arranged, so they had to make it on the fly. They didn't have one of the dishes we asked for, and we were told each tray could feed at least 30 people (each cost $65-75), but it was more like 10 people. Despite having some issues with the coordinators, I still wanted to reach out after our wedding and thank them for everything they did, and I never received a response back. I don't write this to deter anyone from visiting as a possible venue, but I do encourage the coordinators at Windham to be more attentive to their clients. -

Columbus Day Weekend Brides BEWARE
The venue was not transparent about the other other events happening on our wedding date when we signed our contract two years. On Columba’s Day weekend (and maybe other holiday weekends too) every single hotel in the region has a THREE night minimum. There is also an event at the Windham patio on both saturday and sunday so there will be people and tents and music while you’re trying to use the bridal suite and take photos. There is also a fall festival downtown which is affecting parking, ride share app use, and hotel accommodations. Please be aware of this when picking your date!!!! It has made our planning process a nightmare and there is no other way to find this information out because the venue never disclosed all of this issue we may come across and we are not from the area so we had idea these were regular events. -

Unprofessional and disorganized
***BRIDES BEWARE***
-100% would never recommend this venue
-Disorganized is an understatement
-venue was purchased only months after our contract was signed and we were informed “
If you don’t like the options we are offering you can find another venue”
-Fine details were commonly forgotten by the venue, adding items not disused or agreed upon
-unprepared for bridal party and grooms suite
Left us scrambling last minute in a construction zone to find a place to get ready for our special day.
-rude and disrespectful to not only bride and groom but guests as well, including condescending comments
-hotel offered were not consistent with guests for booking and oversold many guests on items unwanted or needed
- a completely embarrassing event for bride and groom as well as guests
-Windham was very clear in stating this would be the last 2023 year of weddings. This venue quit on us before our special day even occurred.
-Thank you Windham for the lasting memories from not only the bride and groom but the stories from all guests of the level of unprofessionalism they witnessed first hand.
- We would have been better off at a local firehall or making a donation to the American Legion.

They forced me to cancel my wedding 6 months after signing a contract
DO NOT BOOK A WEDDING WITH WINDHAM MOUNTAIN. After switching over and having to work with Erika it has been a nightmare to say the least. She first tried to raise my food prices and then informed me that my venue would be under construction and I would probably have to cancel. Then she proceeded to give me an option that was double the price I signed at. She was unapologetic, unprofessional and I would not trust them with anyone's wedding day.-
