  The cake was GONE by the end of the night!

  My wedding coordinator was shocked! - She said she'd never seen an ENTIRE cake consumed by the guests at a wedding. There is (infamously) always cake leftover. But not this cake! It was in high demand! Everyone loved it! We had lemon flavor with all white icing. I sent Westhampton photos of the décor I wanted and they followed that vision exactly (florals provided by our florist and cake-topper came from Etsy). We had no problems with delivery. Communication was good.

  So Delicious

  The cake was so pretty and so tasty! We did their flavors honey rum and raspberry- I was actually so disappointed at my wedding when they ran out of raspberry before I was able to get a piece of cake because it was my favorite when we did the tasting! They also made us a mini pumpkin spice cake for our elopement and even went the extra mile to decorate it the same way our wedding cake was supposed to be decorated. They were so great to work with and we were so happy with the results!

  Amazing Cake!

  The cake we had from the Westhampton Pastry Shop was incredibly delicious. Their pricing was super competitive, and their team was incredibly effective at communication. They were super helpful throughout the entire process - from tasting, to choosing the right size, to drop off! We can't recommend them enough!

  Our cake was amazing!

  I chose Westhampton Pastry Shop because they had great cake and were budget friendly! My cake was delivered on time and was exactly the way I wanted it! We went in for a tasting and they let us sample every flavor they make! It was about 8 different flavors. I would 100% recommend them!

  Great experience with this bakery. Booked this bakery for a bridal shower. We wanted a “naked cake” which is oviously very popular these days because other bakeries gave me a obscene quote for said cake. Westhampton Pastry Shop’s price was very reasonable plus the cake looked and tasted great!! Cake was done on time & the employees were very professional. Would recommend this bakery to anyone!!

  Beautiful and delicious cake

  This bakery made the best wedding cake that we’ve ever had. Their service was top-notch from the tasting all the way through to the part where my wife smashed their delicious cake all over my face. You cannot go wrong with this time-tested Richmond staple.

  We were searching for a bakery a little late in the process, and had trouble finding one that was available for my daughter's May 1 wedding. I suggested we check with Westhampton, since they'd done a wonderful job with my cake over 33 years ago. We were in the neighborhood, so didn't call ahead, and arrived only about 20 minutes before closing. The owner came out to talk to us when we said we wanted to schedule a tasting. She went into the back and returned with a tray of assorted flavors to taste, and they were all delicious, just as my cake was. The friendliness and service helped seal our decision (and the price was outstanding!). We were so happy and relieved that they were available for our May 1 wedding. And of course, everyone loved the cake. The owner's husband did the decorating, just as he did with mine. It turned out beautifully. I definitely recommend this classic Richmond bakery!

  My cake was perfect! I wanted simple and elegant and got just that. We had so many compliments on how great the cake tasted. It was such a cute shop with lots of choices. Plus I just love being able to use a locally owned business! Such nice people.

  Westhampton Pastry shop is the best. The wedding cake was delicious and they are wonderful to work with. The cake for my daughter's wedding was the same bakery that designed and made my wedding cake. They are like family. The grooms cake with the chocolate glazed doughnuts were a big hit with the guests as well. There is nothing that you can not get from this bakery that is not good. They are superb.

  The cake was beautiful. They were able to show me styles and models so that I could choose. I chose a dot cake and they made the dots the same color as my bridesmaid dresses using a swatch that I gave them. They delivered the cake to the reception site and it was DELICIOUS!

  Wedding Cake - Delicious

  We purchased our wedding cake and grooms cake from Westhampton Pastry Shop. The cakes were delicious, arrived on time, and were very beautiful! My only concern with this vendor is that I did not get to speak with the cake decorator personally, and thus I had to trust that the information I gave to the people who took my order would be understood. However, I was very happy with the result! I would hire this company again.

  Best cake and doughnuts ever!

  We ordered both a full cake plus doughnuts and they were both so good! We met with a pastry artist who costumed made the topper of the cake to match to color and style of the wedding. Cake was beautifully done as well as the doughnuts! Perfect choice and super affordable.

  Westhampton Bakery has a long-standing reputation (a great one!) in Richmond's near West End (Libbie-Grove neighborhood, near St Mary's Hospital). They were recommended to me by a friend. We just wanted a small cake, for the tradition and symbolism, and most importantly - to display my grandparents' 57 yr old cake topper from their own wedding! Westhampton was great at listening to what I envisioned, BUT there were a lot of styles and designs that they said they didn't/couldn't do. Pretty basic design, but very lovely and VERY TASTY! They are known for their great tasting cake and buttercream frosting (no fondant here). The small cake was meant to feed ~45 people (we had a make-you-own sundae bar in addition), I think, and cost ~$100. They were great about having me bring in a pain chip sample to show them the color I wanted the frosting to be :-) Smart idea.

  two Saturdays of last 3, donuts were not ready at opening at 8AM. Only one flavor available...after driving 15 minutes. one would think it obvious, donuts is why people come on early AM, Other patrons were equally disappointed

  We are so sorry you had did not have good experience when you visited us. All of our pastries are made from scratch by hand daily. They are temperamental and weather affected. While we try to have all of our treats ready at the same time everyday, unfortunately that is not always possible. If you would like to give us a call before you come we can let you know when certain items will be ready and even pack up the order for you before you arrive. Being a pastry shop, we also have a large variety of other treats that are also baked fresh daily that are always ready at opening. Thank you for your feedback. We will continue to try to better ourselves without compromising the quality of our products.
