Our wedding weekend at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club was absolutely unforgettable. From beginning to end, the entire team was a dream to work with — organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our celebration perfect. The communication throughout the planning process was seamless, and they answered every question, big and small, with patience and care. They made planning feel effortless, helping us customize our catering selections and even accommodating thoughtful substitutions that reflected our tastes and preferences.

A heartfelt thank you to Maura Daley, Amy Farrell, and Megan Sugg, who went above and beyond to make our weekend seamless and extraordinary. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail ensured that everything came together beautifully. The wedding day itself was flawlessly orchestrated, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every moment.

We also want to extend our gratitude to the entire resort staff for making our stay — and our guests’ stay — so memorable. Every person we interacted with was kind, attentive, and seemed to know our families by name. Our friends and relatives are still talking about how exceptional the service was.

The property is truly five-star in every sense. During our wedding weekend, the flowers were in full bloom and the landscaping was immaculate, creating a naturally stunning backdrop that made even our minimal décor feel elegant and complete. Every inch of the resort exudes care, beauty, and refinement.

Wequassett exceeded every expectation — not only as a venue, but as a partner in creating a joyful, unforgettable celebration. We will always be grateful to the entire team for bringing our vision to life with such grace and heart.

Wequassett Resort is simply the best venue! The setting, and views, are spectacular, but the Wequassett team is even more impressive. They did such an incredible job bringing our vision to life, and made sure every aspect was thought of, and taken care of. Megan, and the rest of the team, took the stress out of our planning and provided invaluable insights, tips and tricks, and general guidance. They made sure we were on track and organized, making the planning process seamless and enjoyable. Every Wequassett team member we encountered during the planning, and that weekend, was incredibly helpful and cheery. It was truly the perfect weekend, and the wedding of our dreams, and we are SO thankful to Megan and Wequassett.

We got married and stayed at the Wequassett in August of this year. The Wequassett is the most incredible resort you will ever step foot on. Everyone who works there, from the people behind the front desk to the landscapers to the waitstaff at the restaurants to the employees around the pool – everyone is SO friendly and helpful. It was luxurious and gorgeous and the perfect place to stay for our special weekend.
Our wedding was immaculate. While we are obviously partial – we had the best wedding ever put together. Kalson, the coordinator assigned to us, is a miracle worker and ensured everything was taken care of and we had the most perfect night. The terrace overlooking Pleasant Bay is one of the most beautiful locations in all of Cape Cod. Our guests still rave about the hors d’oeuvres and dinner. When we first walked into the main ballroom reception area, we were nearly in tears due to how beautiful everything looked.
We visited over 12 venues on the Cape looking for a spot for our wedding and landed on the Wequassett and it was the best decision. For the type of service you’re provided I would honestly say it’s a bargain.
We’re thrilled to someday return to this magical resort.

Our experience with Wequassett was exceptional! My husband and I were married at Wequassett hosting both our ceremony and reception on the property in October and it exceeded all expectations. Everything from the professional, experienced and attentive staff to the 5 star restaurant quality food and unmatched landscaping/views were incredible. Our event coordinator Kalson is the best the industry offers with his professionalism, detail oriented management style, communication skills and kind nature from start to finish. Kalson ensured the entire weekend was executed flawlessly and we are so grateful for his time. We recommend Wequassett to any couples looking to put their most special day in the hands of people you can whole heartedly trust. We could not speak more highly of Wequassett and thank them for everything they did to make our wedding perfect!

Not only is Wequassett a gorgeous venue for holding a wedding, its staff is the cream of the crop! We postponed our wedding from August 2020 to August 2021 due to the pandemic but Wequassett was very flexible and accommodating during this uncertain time. Our on-site wedding coordinator, Kalson Pang, was especially attentive before, during and even after our wedding! He always anticipated the next step to make sure that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes and exceeded our expectations in every way. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and so many of our guests told us our wedding was the best wedding they had ever attended. We highly recommend Wequassett for an unforgettable wedding experience! We will certainly come back to celebrate future anniversaries here!

Wequassett is the BEST place to get married! I had the most wonderful experience planning my wedding at Wequassett. The venue is stunning, the staff is extremely kind, and the food is outstanding. I worked with Kalson Pang to plan the wedding, and I instantly felt like I was in great hands after our first meeting. He and his team at Wequassett know how to plan the PERFECT wedding. The planning process was so smooth and Kalson guided us the entire way. My friends and family were absolutely blown away with the beautiful scenery and excellent service at Wequassett. My husband and I are already planning on returning to Wequassett for a few days for our 1-year anniversary!

From the food, to the service, to the beautiful location, it was everything you could hope for in a Cape Cod wedding. Our guests can not stop talking about it. They were flexible with budgets, and different needs, always got back to us in a timely manner, and were completely focused on us getting everything that we wanted out of the day! We also stayed as guests from the days leading up to the wedding and a couple of days afterwards and from every single staff member we encountered we were treated like VIP guests. We plan to return for our anniversary.

When we first walked in, it was a dream! Kalson was our day of coordinator and did a fantastic job keeping us on track but also outlining how the day would work best with the ideas we had. He was absolutely fantastic to work with, the venue was beautiful and the food was phenomenal (not something you typically say at a wedding). Well worth the time and investment.

A Wequassett wedding is truly 5 stars, just like the resort itself. Literally every detail from planning, communication, venue, service, flexibility, execution, scenery and everything as a whole is perfection.

Putting in a Groom’s two cents :) The Wequassett was beautiful. The surpising foliage made for beautiful fall photos during our first look and ceremony. Most importantly, the food was SO great. Everyone told us how it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had - and from the planning point, we were so impressed by the number of courses that were included and their ease to accommodate allergies and preferecnes. The Tent room really made our reception; we loved being able to seeing the stunning views without worry about the weather. Megan totally kept us on time and on track, making sure that my wife had nothing to worry about the whole weekend. We booked a suite on the lower level, with great views for the guys to all get ready and take pics -definitely worth it. CAn’t imagine a better venue!

My daughter was married at a completely stunning fall ceremony this November. I cannot express enough gratitude and our pure pleasure with the staff and the setting. Our best decision, besides booking the Wequassett to begin with (!), was to reserve the Round Cove Suite. It’s an incredible room with magnificiate views. It became the gathering point of the weekend!! It was the perfect place for an after-party space for the rehearsal dinner, and the after-after party for the wedding :) Even more poignantly, it was a beautiful setting for the women to get ready and take some touching pre-ceremony photos, much better than the typical conference-room type place other venues stick you in. It was absolutely worth the small extra investiment to have a place where all of our out of town friends and family could gather.
We could not have been happier with the Wequassett - the food, the venue, the views, and the insanely responsible and responsive staff were worth Every. Single. Penny to make our daughter’s wedding the memorable and heartwarming event that Megan and her team helped us to create. From the mother and father of the bride - we wouldn’t have picked any other place. THANK YOU WEQUASSETT!

The experience of our wedding at the Wequassett was unlike any other. From our first tour around the venue, we knew it was the venue for us. Everyone we met during our first few visits were professional, welcoming and truly believed in the product and experience the Wequassett is. From start to end, Wequassett, and in particular Megan Snugg, was a dream to work with. E-mails and calls were returned so fast and she was always happy to touch base whenever we needed. The food at our cocktail hour and reception was absolutely delicious. Our guests commented all night and months later how incredible the meal and service was. The entire weekend, whatever we needed, resort staff was there to help, all with a smile on their face. The Wequassett is a truly unique and special location, and we are so thankful that we had our wedding there.

I don't even know how to put into words how amazing Wequassett is. My wife and I have not stopped hearing from friends and family that our wedding was the best one that they had ever been to, and it is all because of this beautiful place and the incredbly talented and kind people there. From the minute we first visited we knew that this was where we wanted to host our friends and family for our big day. They took care of us and our guests at a level that I have never witnessed before, in a way that feels authentic and kind rather than stuffy or snobby. Our wedding planner Megan Sugg was absolutely the best-she was organized, kind, fun, and patient with every one of our crazy questions, ideas, and worries. The weekend, from wrangling our wedding party at the rehearsal, to the clambake rehearsal dinner and welcome reception, and to the wedding day itself, ran without a hiccup. The service both at the wedding and for our guests who stayed on property was flawless. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and we can't imagine having had it anywhere other than Wequassett.

From the second that we started working with Megan, she was absolutely incredible. We planned our wedding in a relatively short timeline (9 months) and had tons of questions and concerns along the way. Megan handled everything we threw at her with patience and coordinated all of the small details we would have overlooked. The Wequasset staff was outstanding, our day was a dream, and I am so thrilled we got married there!

Wequassett is THE place to get married on the Cape! It is beautiful and elegant, with amazing service and quite possibly the best wedding food you and your guests will ever have. Their catering team is on top of each and every event they host: we worked closely with Megan Sugg who always took the time to answer any and all questions as well as make suggestions based on her experience. She was a valuable sounding board for all things decorations, logistics and general wedding questions. When it was clear that it was going to rain on our wedding day the team jumped into action to make sure our rain plan went smoothly and that we still had the beautiful wedding we had envisioned. Our biggest piece of mind came from the fact that we knew we wouldn't have to do anything on our wedding day but enjoy getting married and celebrating - everything was handled for us and just run so smoothly! 6 weeks later our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful our wedding was, how great the food was and even in the rain how beautiful Wequassett is.

There are not enough words for the Wequassett Resort. Everything about the venue and its staff are five star. My husband and I were in between Wequassett & Wychmere and we keep saying how thankful we are that we chose Wequassett.

First, the sales experience with Lindsey was easy and enjoyable. Lindsey was very informative throughout our tour and really worked with us to stay in our budget. It was easy to see our vision when she walked us through the resort and the options available to us.

Second, Kalson is hands-down the absolute best coordinator any couple could ask for. I have heard so many friends and family members say that they felt like "they were just another bride " to the coordinator but with Kalson (and really, with the whole Wequassett staff), I felt like I was the only bride he was working with for this year. His attention to detail is incredible and he does everything to make the day absolutely perfect. My husband and I could not believe how attentive and detail oriented Kalson was from the minute that we met him. Kalson was extremely responsive during the whole process, ran the rehearsal and wedding day perfectly, and listened to (and executed) our wedding day exactly the way we wanted. We could not be thankful that we had Kalson as our cooridnator.

Third, the entire staff at Wequassett was incredible. All of our guests commented on how attentive and accommodating the staff was throughout the entire weekend. From the check-in desk, to the bell hops, to the waiters, waitresses, and bartenders, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We truly felt like we were treated like royalty and like were the only bride and groom the resort had ever seen.

We are so thankful we had our wedding at Wequassett and look forward to celebrating our anniversary there every year.

When my husband and I first stepped on to the property at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club – I knew that it was the perfect venue for us. We met with Rene Votteler, who showed me, my husband and my parents around the resort property. We ultimately decided to book with the Wequassett…and are so glad we did! We had our dream wedding…all thanks to the beautiful venue and invaluable team! Rene and his staff were there for us from the beginning to the very end…helping us plan every last detail. Always responsive and communicative, answering all of our questions along the way. Rene helped us organized our thoughts, our vision, made all of our ideas become a reality, and always did so with a calm smile on his face. As we got closer to our wedding day, Angela from Rene’s team helped orchestrate final details with us – a true pleasure to work with. The day before our wedding – we arrived on property and met with Rene again. The entire staff at Wequassett were so accommodating as we got set up in our BEAUTIFUL rooms. We had our rehearsal dinner, a New England clambake, at the Outer Bar – and it was a perfect dinner by the sea. The day of our wedding – everything was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Rene and Angela were there on-site to make sure every detail was complete and beautiful. The feeling we had walking into our reception and cocktail hour and seeing everything for the first time was out of this world. Our dream was a reality! The food, the staff, the service…everything was perfect and our guests are STILL talking about it. We also had brunch the following day at 28 Atlantic…a gorgeous spread of delicious food. Oh – and the junior suite my husband and I stayed in the most amazing hotel room I’ve ever stayed in!!! I can’t wait to go back. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to get married – every moment was a dream come true.

The Wequassett was an absolutely amazing wedding venue! We worked with Rene and Angela as our wedding coordinators. Rene was amazing throughout the entire wedding process, and his attention to detail really made our wedding day come together. We met Angela towards the end of the process but she is also fantastic! The service, the grounds, the view, everything is incredible at the Wequassett.

Absolutely AMAZING! The Wequassett goes above and beyond! It is without question that it is the ONLY place to have a wedding on Cape Cod. We worked with Kalson and he was awesome-- we never worried about a thing because we completely trusted Kalson to make our day perfect-- and he DID! The whole staff at the Wequassett is exceptional-- ALL of our guests complimented on how fabulous the food was and how amazing the staff was. We can not say enough good things about our wedding at the Wequassett- it was truly PERFECT! I wish we could do it all over!

We chose the Wequassett Resort for our wedding ceremony and reception and we are so happy that we did. Rene was our coordinator and he was very easy to work with. He is very professional and thinks of everything necessary to make the ceremony and reception perfect. On our actual wedding day, every last detail was thought of and taken care of, creating a stress free day for us.

The service at the Wequassett is exceptional. The wait staff is one step ahead of anything you want or need. They are very attentive, yet inconspicuous.

UNBELIEVABLE experience from start to finish. We started with Amy who is organized, well seasoned and so knowledgable on the grounds. From there we had the honor of working with Rene. He is absolutely amazing to work with. Cool, calm, organized, and a "do-er". I don't think we ever heard "no" - just creative ways to accomplish our ideas. Rene made the most hectic of times a breeze. He was courtesy and responsive and accommodating from day one. We loved working with him and are in love with Wequassett. Their staff, cuisine and grounds are second to none. Our only wish is that we can one day be a guest at a wedding there to have the experience all over again! We can't wait to return for anniversaries for years to come!

This was the BEST wedding venue I have ever seen! Everyone that attended the wedding said it was the best wedding they have ever attended! The staff was very professional and made the day amazing!

Wequassett is the best place for a wedding in my opinion. Everything was amazing from the ceremony to the cocktail hour, to the amazing reception with delicious food. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommend.

The most beautiful location on Pleasant Bay between Harwich and Chatham. Once you visit you won't want to go anywhere else to look. The grounds are amazing, the setting is perfect and the wedding coordinators and staff are great!

What can I say about the most beautiful location on earth? I was privileged enough to marry the love of my life overlooking Pleasant Bay beneath a beautiful early June sunset. We got pictures on the dock, we danced the night away with a gorgeous view of the water... it's Cape Cod. Who could want anything more?

The Wequassett Inn delivered everything they promised...beautiful venue, exquisite food, and a very helpful and friendly staff. Working with Kalson and Amy was an absolute delight and we had total confidence in their ability to organize a very large wedding. They made all of our dreams come true and I would recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding.

We had our recent wedding at the Wequassett Resort and could not have been more pleased. The staff was exceptional, especially the Director of Catering, Kalson Pang, who assisted us in the planning and coordination of our wedding. The food was wonderful...our guests are still talking about the service, the food, and the cleanliness of the resort. The staff seems to anticipate your every wish. Our wedding exceeded our expectations and gave us a day and memories that will last a lifetime.

My husband and I had the perfect wedding day at Wequassett. From the pre-planning, to rehearsal, to ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception, no detail was left out. Rene is a huge asset to Wequassett and ensured that our wedding day was perfect. The staff and the food are top-notch (and I am a NYC Restaurant Manager) and it always felt like the staff was always one step ahead of us anticipating all of our needs. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Wequassett and we feel so lucky that we got to have the wedding of our dreams there. We were treated like royalty all day and our guests are still buzzing about the beautiful location, amazing food, wonderful staff, and absolutely perfect day. If you are looking for an elegant wedding and reception on the water with amazing food and staff, look no further than Wequassett!

I just got married 9/3/2011 and I couldnt have had a more perfect wedding thanks to the Wequassett Inn. I chose to have my ceremony on the croquet lawn overlooking pleasant bay and it was beautiful. My wedding organizer there was very helpful with making everything go smoothly from the ceremony to the end. The wequassett staff was very flexible with the seating arrangements because my dad has difficulty walking and needed special chairs to sit in. All 100 of our guests couldnt stop talking about our venue and how it was the most amazing place they have ever been to for a wedding. Being the Bride and Groom you usually dont have time to get drinks and appetizers but the staff at weqaussett made sure they had champagne and appetizers there for us at all times even when we were doing our pictures. The cape has many nice places to get married at but I have to say Wequassett tops them all hands down (yes even the chatham bars inn) =) Thanks Wequassett for a Perfect Wedding!

If you are thinking about Chatham Bars Inn, do yourself a huge favor and check out Wequassett before making a decision. The resort is amazing! The grounds are so beautiful....right on the ocean. The food and service could not be beat. Friends and families raved it was the best resort they have ever been to.

I had a small wedding of 46 guests, and Wequassett treated me like I was the most important event they had on the books. They also had another wedding that day (200+ people), but you would have never known from they way they treated us. They tailor the function to you and your personality. The Catering Manager met with my husband and I four times for our little wedding and was patient and wonderful each time. He had answers for any questions we had and wonderful suggestions for the ceremony, reception and our photographer.

I don't usual write reviews, but I remember how disappointed I was when I went to Chatham Bars Inn. It was extremely expensive, everything was extra $$$ and the venue for my small wedding really wasn't that great. I honestly can not think of one thing to complain about from start to finish.

They were exceptional and the cost vs. service is a tremendous value. I was just married this July and our event was smooth and well put together. The site is beautiful on the lawn and it has one of the nicer ballroom type receptions areas I have seen. We absolutely loved it- we do hear they are not that flexible but we had no issues changing rehersal times etc.

Our experience at the Wequassett was really exceptional. At the wedding I told our coordinator, Kalson, that the day was so easy for us...it was almost like being a guest at a wedding in that we didn't have to worry about ANYTHING besides just enjoying ourselves on that day. The food was so unbelievable, the setting is just beautiful...some guest comments were: this is the nicest wedding I've ever been too and that was the best food I've ever eaten! There isn't anything I am unhappy about when it comes to this venue...they made my idea of a perfect wedding day come true!

Our Wedding was spectacular -- absolutely perfect, due in large part to the exquisite setting at Wequassett and the unparalleled professionalism and kindness of the staff. Kalson, our Wedding Coordinator went above and beyond with attention to every detail; managing our somewhat "unmanageable" wedding party and successfully keeping us all on task. The food, wine, fastidiously manicured grounds and breathtaking views of Pleasant bay would have made for an unbelievable Wedding even with the forecasted showers (torrential downpours hours before the event); however, the skies opened up and brilliant rays of sunshine lit us up! While sometimes our email correspondence wasn't as timely as we had wished, we did hit our month out mark and they became incredibly responsive and helped us with every detail and question we had. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors and made the entire process smooth and fairly stress free. We are very grateful for all they did to make our day so special :)

My fiancé and I were blown away by the Wequassett's flexibility and creativity. We married on a windy day with a morning of pouring rain; Megan eased our nerves by letting us wait until only THREE hours before the ceremony to make a call on staying outside (which we did as the sun cleared just in time!). The culinary's team flexibility was also above and beyond, letting us mix & match elements from different appetizers and creatively accommodating all dietary restrictions. Every memory we've received from our wedding guests includes compliments that it was the MOST delicious event food they've ever eaten - and we couldn't have agreed more! The venues' ability to accommodate our creative and personal details (no matter how large, including a 8' x 8' welcome board!) made the day seamless and so perfectly specific to our personalities. As many of our guests said: BEST WEDDING EVER (!!), even if we are a little biased!

Our wedding was truly our dream wedding. Getting married in the off season at Wequassett was definitely a benefit. We had basically the whole place to ourselves and the resort is gorgeous at any time of year. The service we received was impeccable. As a relative control freak, our consultant made me feel so comfortable that I was able to hand everything off to him and truly just focused on getting ready then getting married. I really wouldn't change a thing about the day. It was perfect and Wequassett helped a ton in making that happen!

The Wequassett is the perfect setting for a Cape Cod wedding. My guests were blown away and the staff was amazing throughout the planning process and the actual wedding. It's pricey but worth it! Food was awesome. It's just magical!

Love the Wequassett - great food, great service and a beautiful location. Kalson is extremely organized and professional and I hardly worried about a thing during our entire wedding day. The main con to getting married here is that there can be more than one wedding per day. When we originally booked the Wequassett we were told we could tailor make our wedding any way we wanted but that doesn't actually end up being true as you have major time constraints for preparation/decor time if there is a wedding before yours.

A wonderful location. We got married on the croquet lawn with the reception in the grand pavilion, and were very happy with the service, food, and professionalism. The croquet lawn is amazing for photos, while the grand pavilion is comfortable, fun, but less of a photographer's dream. There are clear advantages and disadvantages to getting married in a place with structured wedding packages: less flexibility is available (in terms of dates, start/end times, and numbers), but the organized, flawless flow of the entire event, the amazing food, and the convenience of an on-site wedding coordinator made up for these rigid rules!

All in all, our wedding was a tremendous success due mostly to the venue and food. we would recommend this site to anyone.

We had our wedding reception at the Outer Bar. It worked for us as you could have a smaller wedding (we had 67 guests) and not feel lost in the space. It is expensive, but the food is great and the staff is professional. And the view is gorgeous! It is a wedding factory, though (they can have up to 3 a day) so you don't have too much flexability in making it "yours." But overall it's a great spot for a Cape Cod wedding.

We had a three day wedding at the Wequassett last April, and it's taken me a year to get over how upset I was about the way we were treated -- I'd rather focus on the positives. We loved the location and the serving staff. The food was delicious. We had approximately 125 guests, most staying at the resort.

We had a terrible experience with Kalson though, and I suggest you ask to work with Rene. I read the reviews here, and kept ignoring small things which went wrong throughout the process of planning our wedding. Never returning phone calls (to the point that my husband took on the task of making calls to him, because he was patient enough to call several times until he got through). Rudeness to my parents (scolding them for not making a second payment, when he had our credit card and had been authorized to make a payment.) On the night of the reception, there were not enough serving staff at the bar area, despite our being assured that there would be. Our guests were asked to move out of an empty room -- where they had sat down in front of the fireplace because they weren't being served -- so the staff could clean. Our appetizers were not the ones we had ordered. And finally, we had requested s'mores after dinner -- in fact, put it in our contract -- and they forgot to order them. I was told about this on the dance floor after our DJ had already announced it to the guests that they would be served shortly. Small thing -- but for what we paid, I wouldn't have expected sentimental details like that to fall through the cracks.

Everything worked about our wedding except Kalson, definitely request Rene.
