Great day of coordinator!

Chontay was an invaluable asset as our day-of coordinator for our wedding. From accompanying us to vendor meetings to flawlessly handling the events on the big day, she truly exceeded our expectations. Her willingness to step in and add her own decor pieces at the last minute added a wonderful touch to the overall ambiance. Was able to accommodate last minute wedding

Service was able to accommodate my wedding that was originally planned for 6 months of preparation, and later was moved forward three months. Services were organized, and easy to incorporate with other vendors.

Best experience I have ever had

Chontay is absolutely INCREDIBLE! She always went above and beyond for us. The way she set up the venue space for our wedding exceeded all my expectations. Everything was perfect. As a bride already being stressed, Chontay would even help me with ideas and send me links for products. She stayed with is at our event and helped me stay calm and made sure everything ran smooth. She is by far the best.

Beyond Amazing

Let me say Chontay was amazing. She is literally EVERYTHING! I couldn’t have chose a better person for my day. She has been my wedding planner, big sis ,& my prayer warrior through this entire process! I didn’t even have to tell her how stressed I was. She just sensed it! 🥺 Most event planners wouldn’t have even cared & would’ve went on about their day. She cares sooo much about ALL her events & ALL her brides… & our true happiness. My wedding day was AMAZING. Chontay made everything so seamless. All of our guests loved the location and the decor. This is totally a one stop shop. She took away a lot of stress and made our day perfect!

Chontay made our wedding what it was, and it was incredible. She took our thoughts and ideas and designed a beautiful day that felt more like us than we ever could have hoped for. From finding the perfect venue, to coordinating vendors, to the day of, Chontay was kind, diligent & creative. Our guests had an amazing time, and consistently tell us that they felt so taken care of, and that we'd thought of everything. On top of all of that, Chontay is so fun to be around. As a bride, I did not really know what the final picture would look like but oh my! - when we walked into the reception hall I gasped! Everything was beautiful. Chontay provided excellent service even when there were a million of changes. Additionally, the wedding was out of state and her flexibility assured for a beautiful day. Moreover, she was professional and we received the flowers on time as promised. Also, I had to transport the bouquets over 500 miles to our destination. They held up during travel and looked beautiful on the wedding day!

The all inclusive venue package that Mrs. Artis offered was well worth the money. Value and Elegance.. she was very on time and responsive to my emails or text messages, she referred me to vendors who offered excellent affordable services. I was looking for an event planner that could offer me a one stop shop and take the stress away from me planning my wedding. Weddings & Events By Design did just that. On the day of her staff was in place to handle everything all we had to do was show up and enjoy our day and leave. She had a parking attendant to direct traffic, the bartender was on point all the guest loved the custom drink, her wait staff assisted my cater and made sure the guest tables remained cleared at all times and everyone loved the d.j . I will be booking him for our house warming party. Weddings & Events By Design made sure that I stuck to my timeline which was helpful so that I could make sure I got all the important parts of my event in. I was a bride on the go and needed someone to keep me on track. Mrs. Artis would send me a monthly planning packet via email to keep me on track with everything. We had many phone consultations to make sure that everything was in order. The venue was beautiful and we loved the pictures in front of the water fall and gazebo. All the guest loved the bartender the party could have gone on all night. My guest all complimented me on the décor and how beautiful everything was. I thank Weddings & Events By Design keep doing what you are doing brides like me appreciate your hard work and dedication and most of all your affordability.. most companies would have charged us an arm and a leg. You truly have a nitch for the work that you do and I could not have been more grateful. Thank you for making my day PERFECT!!!! I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR MORE!!!

Everything for my baby shower was what I imagined and more. Mrs. Artis worked quickly and efficiently with her team and she paid very close attention to every detail from beginning to end. She met every expectation I had and her communication leading up to the event put me at ease, including helping me with a timeline and sending pictures of samples. She was always available to talk about my vision and suggested things beyond my scope as well. Ms Artis at Weddings 2 Design provided simply amazing services. We were arranging an event in Atlanta and life in florida. So one can amazing it was challenging. But as soon as we contacted Ms Artis she handled everything and took care of all details with perfection at a very reasonable price. Chontay was asked to help us out with a very large, but last minute Lion King theme baby shower. This woman went so far beyond anything we could have hoped for it was unbelievable! Nothing prepared us for the amount of work she put into every detail. She actually whipped out her glue gun and creativity and MADE out Safari centerpieces. Chontay and her team will go the extra mile to make sure that your event is well organized, that your guests are good and she works miracles with your budget. Hats off to Weddings by Design and thank you so much for making my granddaughter's shower an event we'll always treasure!

Mrs. Artis is so wonderful she came and did a wonderful job. Very professional and kind. She worked with all my craziness with my bride that was deport out in the navy. She worked with my budget and made it happen and all the guest loved it. Im so grateful for her cause I would have been lost..lol I defiantly will be booking her again for future events that I will be coordinating.

Thank you Weddings By Design. The vendor worked with us and our budget. We had to delay the wedding until a later date due to a family emergency. Weddings by Design was very accommodating. And allowed us to make revisions to our contract. Our budget was tight but Weddings By Design was able to take a small budget and make the most elaborate décor designs that were beautiful.

I know as a vendor sometimes it is hard working with clients but we do appreciate all that you did for us to make our day a memory to last a life time. Your design ideas saved the day. I was a stressed bride on a budget and you saved the day.

Everything was perfect they worked with my budget and the décor was amazing… I was the first bride to showcase their custom Cinderella table skirt and it was beautiful. I got many compliment on how beautiful everything was. Weddings by design was very flexible and set everything up on time. They also offer all décor and floral services which was less stress for me being able to deal with just one vendor for everything..

My wedding was this past weekend at Chatea Elan. Weddings by Design was very affordable with thier pricing, I had shopped around with several other decorators and found thier pricing very expensive and they did not offer a large variety of decor options. Weddings by design provided my flowers and rental items for my decor. My wedding was beautiful!!!! the flowers were georgous.

Weddings by Desgin made my day perfect. Thier pricing is very reasonable and the quality of service is excellent. They took the stress out of my wedding. My decorations and flowers were beautiful. I thought you would have to spend an arm and a leg to have beautiful decor and Weddings By Design proved me wrong. They are a brides ones stop shop for everything, they handled my linen rentals, chair covers, wedding flowers and reception decor. I am so glad I found them. My wedding was this weekend at the solairum at scottish rite. Weddings by Design created my vision perfectly. Thier staff was on time and very professional. My decor was just as I had imagined and everything was perfect. Thier pricing was very reasonable and the decor was elegant. My guest commented on how beautiful everything was.

I would like to thank Weddings By Design for a beautiful wedding fit for a princess. The decor was exceptional !!!!!!!!! My flowers were beautiful and elegant. I loved the recetion table centerpices and the chair covers matched perfectly with my wedding colors. I would have never thought the ballroom would have been transformed into such and elegant setting. My wedding decor was beautifu. Weddings by Design worked with my budget to create a beautiful vision. I had many changes to my orginal decor ideas and they were very patient with me in working with me to create my vision for my wedding decor.. The staff was on time and very professional set up was completed early prior to the guest arriving. Weddings by Design even added a few exta decor items for free that complted my look. I am so grateful and will refer them to anyone. If you are looking for affordablity and thier pricing beats the rest and the decor is beautiful give Weddings by Design a call !!!!!

My Perfect Day

I had booked this venue from seeing it on Facebook. Trust I was worried. But on Oct.12 ,2019 my wedding day was perfect in my eyes. It was everything I wanted. From having a outdoor wedding to a small party for the reception. AND it was all in my budget. Thank you Chontay.

Beautiful Decorations

Chontay, does not do well with thinking outside of the box. I ended up purchasing my own centerpieces and using someone in addition to hiring Chontay to decorate the venue for my wedding. Most of my centerpieces came from thrift stores and I used peacock feathers. These are things that Chontay could have easily provided; however, she was sold on provided dated centerpieces. In addition, I paid extra for changing the color of the linens from white/ivory to champagne/gold color. Her package included flowers; however, my aunt provides fresh flowers for all the brides in my family, so I did not use the flowers from Chontay.

Be sure to keep all communications with her in writing, as she changes what she says at times. Her level of professionalism could use some work. On one occasion when meeting with Chontay at the venue to to a table setting, she did little to assist in prepping the table. As far as scheduling time to meet, she will promise a date, but will make up excuses and as to why she can't meet on that date. We were to meet in March, but actually met in June.

I advised Chontay several months prior to the wedding and asked about seating capacity and advised her that there would be than originally thought. Her response was that many brides say that, but many that say they are coming, don't show. She told me that she would be prepared in the event that more showed up. Well........more showed up and it was chaotic. She did not do well with seating guest and keeping reserved sections. As a result of this, the wedding and reception started late and then was rushed through because of time.

On the day of my wedding, I met the DJ (that comes with the package)-he was not present at my rehearsal the day before. The song that I chose for my entrance song was not played and even now, I have not been told why or that it would.

I will end with this...the venue was perfect and my wedding was beautiful.

If your budget is more important than the beauty of your decor, this is the decorator for you. When I looked at the photos online and the prices on her craigslist ad, I was sure my wedding decor would be impressive. Let's just say you get what you pay for. The flowers (cascading greenery) looked as though they came from the dollar tree. I paid for chair covers for the ceremony that never made it on the chairs. The aisle runner was tucked behind the last row of chairs where everyone who walked in could see it instead of being placed up front. I paid her an extra $200 to hang a draping over the arch and her excuse for not hanging it was she didn't have the measurements. Then why take my money? As a professional it is her job to visit the venue for measurements or contact the venue with questions. The centerpieces for the reception was not the ones sent to me in the photos so I was surprised to see what was on the table. I could have done those myself as well. There was the reception area as well as the ceremony area to be decorated in 3 hours. I told her if she needed more time to let me know which she didn't so I assumed she had a staff to assist her. Instead it was her and her young daughter only so there was no way everything could get done in time. When I contacted her to express my opinion of her work and ask for a refund for at least the draping, she put all the blame on me. Remember, you get what you pay for. Cheaper is not always better. I wish I had spent the extra $3,000 instead of the $800 I paid her. Lesson learned.

I thought everything was going along fine until the day before my wedding. She notified me that the venue "double booked" the space where we were supposed to have the ceremony. I doubt she ever reserved it, but nevertheless, my ratings are based on the service provided the day of my wedding. She is very unprofessional along with the staff she brought to assist her. I had several comments from my guests afterwards notifying me of embarrassing things that took place during the reception. I was mortified and ashamed! Oh, and I reached out to her to express my concerns and she wrote back textbook responses which was expected. I knew she would not take responsibility for her wrongs. I will NEVER recommend her service to anyone.

Unprofessional and delayed responses. She was able to get my deposit and that was it. She was unprepared for my event and I walked away from my deposit. It speaks VOLUMES about a business when a customer walks away after leaving a deposit. She did not try to rectify the situation and felt perfectly comfortable taking my deposit. She did not earn that money. I did not want to continue working with this business even if it cost me more money. I contacted her the Monday before my wedding to pay my final invoice which she did not send. (She blamed technology and did not try to resend it). She did not have any record of the changes for my event. When I ask for a refund she communicated quickly then and made the entire lapse my fault. Let this be a warning to other brides to be during their planning process about this business.

My experiences with Mrs. Atris was not impressive, only replied by email or text, Did not call when Bride or assistant to Bride would ask. Did not pay attention to detail, does not work well with Brides team. Over all experience, I'm surprised she' s been in busy as long as she said she is. Me. O

Do not hire this individual!
After I paid the retainer to secure her for my wedding, the communication fell off and I had to reach out multiple times for a a response. Not only did she not communicate with my coordinator or myself that she would not be attending my event to decorate as planned but she sent random people in her place that did not know what to decorate. My chapel went undecorated and my wedding coordinators and guests had to decorate the reception space because nothing had been done and the reception was about to start. One of the people she sent even knocked over a vase with water breaking it and causing glass and water which was a hazard. When I contacted her I received a swift reply stating my guests broke 3 vases. I will be taking her to small claims court she ruined my big day. Avoid the hassle please!

If you’re looking for an ORGANIZED, ELEGANT, BEAUTIFUL or Properly Planned WEDDING, DO NOT book WEDDING BY DESIGN/Chontay Artis. This “Decorator/Coordinator” singlehandedly RUINED my wedding. When we booked with her Aug 2017, we paid her EXTRA for the park. This lady LIED up until 2 DAYS before my wedding telling me she booked the park for our outside wedding. She tried to LIE and say that due to the 20% chance for rain in ATL that SHE DECIDED (without the bride) to move my event inside. I explained to her and sent screenshots that I had been watching the hour by hour for Norcross and there was NO scheduled rain during our ceremony. She continued to say NO. I asked if we could monitor it until maybe Friday early Saturday, she said NO. Something didn’t seem right so I decided to contact the park who informed me that she NEVER booked the park. Now, don’t let this lady lie and fool you by telling you I went behind her back and changed my date through the reception venue, therefore she ASSUMED I changed my date with the park!! Why would I do that not knowing her availability for my wedding date?! LIES!! (this is the lie she told the park when they called her to get to the bottom of things). And IF I did, as the COORDINATOR/DECORATOR at what point were you going to verify that all things were in order? This tells me she had no intentions of using that park and was going to SCAM me but either way she tried to sell me a dream.

Anyway, her package included the decor, DJ, bartender, etc. She knew my colors were Wine, Navy and Gold yet she decorated my reception in Silver. The bartender is her husband. The DJ is come old man who used YOUTUBE to DJ off his phone. She was extremely unprofessional, lied to my face and lied to the park officials. Her service is horrible and she ruined my experience!

If I could give no stars I would but it was required.

I hired Weddings By Design to supply linen for my special day and it was the Awful services I ever experienced. She knew I told her the correct color and she shows up with the wrong color and then leave town without solving the problem I had to spend the day before my wedding looking for another linen company for linen that I purchased already. I had mix feelings about her which I should have followed. Everything that is on her website is pictures that are on yahoo images none of the images is actually her work. She is a liar and will cheat you out of your money. Please be Aware!!!
