Walden Floral did an amazing job! They were a preferred vendor for our venue (Morton Arboretum), and I can see why! Denise was always a joy to talk to. She took the time to understand our vision and offered valuable suggestions that complemented our ideas perfectly while remaining within our budget. Her deep knowledge of floral design really showed, and you can tell that she gives her all to every wedding she does. All of the flowers on the day of looked absolutely wonderful!
I may have to stop by again in the future though to say hello to the shop dog Maggie!

During our first meeting I came in with my inspiration photos and she took them and ran with it. Vision to fruition
When my now husband and I began planning our fall wedding a year in advance, we knew we wanted to keep it simple and bold, as I love color. Walden was a preferred vendor for the Morton Arboretum so it only made sense we schedule a consultation with a local business who was familiar with our venue. Our first consultation was over the phone (mid COVID) and I didn't anticipate it being so detailed and extensive as it was. Months later we had a follow-up in person consultation and Denise greeted us folder in hand, she had taken extensive notes, had the sample pictures I had emailed and a sample of what it would look like. During our time in the shop Denise shared her knowledge, offered suggestions/options and shared her experience with our venue. My husband and I felt at ease and comfortable to have a professional take care of it all. Over the months the vision evolved yet the simplicity and little touches added were apparent the day of our wedding. Stunning Flowers and Service!
Our flowers were stunning! My sister worked with Denise 10 years ago for his wedding and we had to use her! Denise also did our flowers for our shower and everything was STUNNING! Denise worked so well with us over the past few years after we postponed our wedding twice. She took time to listen to my ideas and tell me her thoughts and what would look great! Beautiful flowers!
Walden Floral was a preferred vendor for our wedding venue, and it is easy to see why. I met with Denise in December 2019, for a September 2020 date, and from our initial meeting, it was clear she knew what she was doing. I told her one flower I had to have in my bouquet, and she took it from there.
When our wedding needed to be postponed to October 2021, she went above and beyond to make sure she could still honor her contract with us, and when the weather forecast the day of our wedding was iffy - she was in touch with me all day going over my options.
At one point, we changed our minds about centerpieces, and she sat down and talked me through some options that would be simple, yet elegant, and didn't break the bank. I irrationally loved my bridal bouquet. I could not have been happier with the flowers she picked to complement my original flower, and it was absolutely breathtaking.

One of the best vendors for the entire wedding!
Denise was truly one of the best vendors I had for my wedding and we felt so fortunate to have found her. As someone who is not a flower expert, I brought inspiration photos for our initial meeting where she was able to determine my style and interests and stayed within my budget without any issues. She built flowers in front of me and stayed with me for a while discussing my vision. During COVID when we had to postpone, she made rescheduling simple. She even did flowers for my microwedding in June 2020! She was able to incorporate the lace from my mother’s communion dress into my bouquet, and created arrangements for all the areas of my wedding that I loved. They lasted for long after the wedding as well! The team here is truly remarkable and I cannot recommend them any higher. Everything on their end for the wedding day was flawless! You won’t regret hiring Denise.

Exquisite Wedding Flowers
I am so glad I chose Walden Floral Design for my wedding in Aug. Due to Covid I chose to downsize the wedding to a small intimate backyard ceremony and toast. Denise didn’t skip a beat and helped me change our original plan to make the most out of the situation. I wanted to use my dad’s zinnias and Denise worked them into my bouquet and the ceremony flowers just beautifully! She was SO easy to work with; very helpful and knowledgeable about flowers l, colors and design. I highly recommend using Walden Floral Design for your wedding. I will be using them again next year for the big wedding reception we had originally planned, as well.

Best Florist Ever!
Walden Floral Design was absolutely a joy to work with even under the circumstances due to the pandemic. The owner, Denise, went above and beyond to make our day special. We decided to have Denise do our flowers for a small ceremony on our original wedding day and we will use her again for our big event next year. Her flower arrangements were absolutely breathtaking and she was so helpful especially under all of the stressful conditions. Denise has such amazing expertise and she was always so warm and welcoming. Denise went out of her way to make our day absolutely perfect. She is truly talented and treated us like family. Beautiful Flowers!
For my daughter’s wedding, I worked with Denise. Working with Denise was a fantastic experience as she made this important and difficult task enjoyable. I am not skilled in the area of floral decorations so I relied heavily on Denise’s talent and extensive knowledge about flowers, arrangements, and overall décor. She made the process very easy as she is extremely organized, prompt, and efficient. She understood our needs and gave practical and honest advice. Not only did she give advice about the flowers, she helped with the overall decor for the venue. The flowers were absolutely beautiful. My daughter’s bouquet was stunning as well as the 8 bridesmaids’ bouquets. In addition, the floral arrangements on the tables were amazing and the cake looked beautiful. As an added bonus, she prepared a sample of the table arrangement a few weeks before the wedding. This allowed my daughter and I to make adjustments. The flowers were promptly delivered and set up at the venue without any problems. We are extremely happy with Walden Floral, including the reasonable pricing.

Science meets Autumn
From our very first meeting, we new Denise and her team was the right fit for us. Our vision was very specific, and she delivered!
We wanted deep, fall-inspired colors (my request) in beakers and Erlenmeyer flasks (his request). Each table had a large flask with a medium-sized arrangement and 3 small beakers with a small arrangement. It allowed 4 guests to take a home a part of the centerpiece per table. It was a very clever idea from Denise.
The ceremony decor were larger arrangements that were flipped to the reception space. The ceremony was a white tent, and my special request was that all the flowers were bold and vibrant. Her arrangement was perfect! She even helped arrange the flowers in the ceremony space then again in the reception hall a few hours later.
We also use Walden Floral for the personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages) and cake flowers. Don't forget to ask Denise about the toss bouquet!

So Excellent/Great Vision
Denise from Walden Floral Design did an AMAZING job on the flower arrangements from the centerpieces, to the the arbor of branches along with the flowers at the base of the arbor as well. They were absolutely gorgeous. My wife and I were blown away on how amazing all the flowers for the event looked. Even our guests complimented the flowers and the colors of the flowers itself. Denise did a great job and you can tell she enjoys really perfecting her craft.

We had the BEST experience with Denise & Walden Floral! We hired them as our wedding florist and they did an amazing job. If you are like me and have a vision in your head of what you want and just a stockpile of pins on Pintrest of different looks and flowers Denise at Walden is your best bet! I wish I could give Walden MORE stars. They were, by far, my best vendor to work with. They gave me exactly what I wanted and stayed UNDER my budget. We were impressed with Denise Walden and all of the staff at Walden Floral Design. They stepped in and made our daughter and her husband’s wedding beautiful! The bouquets, the table flowers, the candles, and every floral aspect of the wedding were done to our daughter’s vision and were done very well! Bob from Walden gathered everything at the end of the evening so we did not need to be concerned about the cleanup. Quality is the word we would use to describe their floral artistry and efforts.

She was excited about our ideas (winter but not Christmas, corsages for the bridesmaids so they didn't have to hold something, candles, etc) and willing to work within our budget to make it happen. WOW...where to start?!? Denise and her team are nothing short of AH-MAZING. We shopped around and I felt extremely comfortable with Denise. She was so specific with each flower and I felt that I knew exactly what the flowers were going to look like. She spent so much time with us and I truly appreciate that because I didn't stress a bit about the flowers. And as any bride knows, there's so much to stress about, so not worrying about my flowers was so helpful. I was STUNNED when I saw all the flowers for our wedding. My bouquet was gorgeous, the bigger arrangements were shockingly beautiful, all the centerpieces were better than I imagined, and all the other flowers were perfect. After using Walden Floral, I now have a florist for life! I was truly sad about going on my honeymoon right after the wedding because I didn't get to enjoy the flowers after the big day, but all my friends and family did. The flowers lasted for a couple weeks after and my everyone who took arrangements home said they received so many compliments on the flowers and they asked where they came from because they were so beautiful. Wow wow wow! Walden Floral Design did a beautiful job providing flowers for my daughters wedding. We were referred to Denise Walden by a friend who just raved so much about her own daughters wedding flowers that I had to set a meeting. Denise spent over an hour with us just discussing our vision. She wrote out an entire quote that day providing incredible detail and guidance, all before we had even decided to go with her. Denise was incredibly knowledgeable and has been in this business for over 30 years....it shows. She created wedding bouquets right in front of us with real flowers to show us her ideas. Needless to say we chose her and we were blown away. Not only did she try and help us stay within a budget, she helped provide the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. This was my second experience with Walden Floral. They were contracted for flower arrangements for my sisters wedding 2 years ago. With how my sister's flowers turned out, I knew right away I would not consider any other vendor!
They are easy to work with and have such an artistic eye. We told them our color scheme (hot pink, coral, light pink with greens mixed in), and didn't have a huge preference on specific types of flowers. They were able to use their artistic skills in creating absolutely beautiful arrangements, that turned out even better than expected! I was truly amazed!
Our pictures came out beautiful having the flowers as accents and at the end of the night since we had provided the vases, our guests were able to go home with a centerpiece. Would highly suggest working with Walden Floral on your big day!

Kelly's flowers were stunning beautiful. A perfect compliment to her dress as were the bridesmaids and table center pieces. A week later I am still enjoying them. I used Walden Floral for our wedding and they did a stunning job! When I first started planning, I called a florist closer to my house. My wedding was the same weekend as Mother's Day; however, and they were limited on how many orders they could take that weekend. Instead, they referred me to Denise, and I'm so glad they did! She listened to the things I wanted and designed my centerpieces on the spot so I could see exactly what they'd look like. Additionally, she was very sensitive to our budget and did not try to upsell us on items we didn't need. We received many compliments on the bouquets and centerpieces.
Overall, Denise and her staff did a lovely job on our wedding, and I will definitely use them in the future!

For my wedding, I didn’t want extravagant floral arrangements. I wanted to keep my flowers simple yet still romantic and beautiful. As soon as I met with Denise at Walden Floral, she instantly knew exactly what I wanted. I was not familiar with flower types going into my meeting, however I just showed her some sample images and she took off running. She showed me different options that she felt would look the best together, yet was very respectful of my budget. I appreciated that she stayed within my budget and still gave me beautiful floral arrangements. One fun thing that Walden Floral does is their “toss bouquet,” which is three mini bouquets that separate as you throw it. Such a fun surprise! Another unique and very amazing advantage to Walden Floral is that Denise creates a quote for you before you actually leave her store. After about 10 minutes or so, you have your floral quote in hand as you leave. I thought that was incredible customer service. The day of my wedding, Walden Floral delivered my flowers and checked in with me to make sure I liked what they created. Everything was simply beautiful! My flowers turned out more amazing than I ever imagined, and I am so happy I went with Walden Floral. I have already recommended them to my sister getting married next year. Truly amazing to work with.

I would highly recommend Walden floral to anyone! We ordered my bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets and centerpieces for our June wedding from Walden. During our initial consultation, we met with the owner, Denise. She was just wonderful and took the time to really listen to our needs. She made sure to stay within our price range and was extremely knowledgeable while offering great advice and suggestions. I had meaningful family charms that I wanted her to add my bouquet and she made sure she took great care of them. She made sure they looked beautiful and even accomodated the size of my bouquet to accomodate the charms. One of the most impressive things that still sticks in my mind is the fact that she called me directly the morning of the wedding and gave me an update. She told me that my flowers looked beautiful and told me that her driver was already on his way to the church for the delivery. I cannot tell you how reasurring it was to hear that. I was so impressed that she took the time to keep me posted so that I did not have to worry or wonder if they made it on time. When you work with Walden Floral, you really get that family oriented service. I was incredibly impressed by their customer service, their passion for what they do and the level of involvement Denise has with her customers. Thank you for making our day so very special. I'm from NC and had my wedding in Chicago. Walden was recommended to us by our hotel and we decided to look into it. I absolutely adored everything they did. Since I was out of state I skyped Denise to talk about what I did and didn't want. I wasn't exactly sure myself but by asking a few questions she was able to narrow down exactly what I wanted and show me how talented she is! I told her to take artistic license with the flowers and to do what an artist does best. I'm really glad I did because not only did she do things I wouldn't have thought of but she made the most beautiful bouquets! Everyone complimented them and all the flowers were amazing. My matron of honor, who was married a month before me, kept telling me she had bouquet envy and how amazing the flowers were. Every single one of the girls took their bouquets home and used them as a center piece in their house afterwards! Everything was perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I would definitely recommend to others.

Denise at Walden Floral Design is probably the nicest, sweetest lady I've ever met. My initial consultation with her was actually via Skype because I was planning my wedding from out of state. She was so nice and patient with me while I was asking questions because lets face it, I know nothing about flowers. She listened to my vision, gave suggestions, and was able to capture a beautiful picture of exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. When I finally met with her in person, she was just as amazing. Her attention to detail is wonderful and the outcome was perfect. I would highly recommend Denise to anyone I know but not only wedding flowers but any occasion. My father in law passed in October and Denise created a stunning bouquet for us to have at his wake. Everyone was complimenting her work. Truly the best.

I met Denise as a floral design student touring her shop. I was so impressed with her approach to weddings that I asked for an appointment for my November wedding. I had a specific look in mind for my vintage tea party wedding and she spent a couple hours with me going over my ideas and taking detailed notes.
The week of the wedding, Denise had me come in to check on the flowers and make sure I was really happy with them. I loved the look of the hydrangeas! But I didn't like the color of one of the main roses. My idea of fuchsia was different than the standard color. Denise could tell I wasn't enthusiastic about the color and said that she just wanted to make sure that I was really happy. So she got more flowers last minute that were just the right color for my bouquet.
The flowers on the day of our wedding were gorgeous! I had a huge, cascading bouquet and all the centerpieces were amazing, full of rich, beautiful flowers. Denise helped my family decorate our wedding arch with fabric and flowers just an hour before the wedding and really went above and beyond to make it a wonderful day. Thank you Denise for helping to make such a special day for my husband, family and I.

Because of budget constraints, I had to DIY my bridesmaid bouquets and centerpieces, but Denise still did a thorough consultation and suggested I get my bouquet professionally done. She didn't make me feel bad at all that I couldn't afford to get the rest of the flowers through her. My bouquet was beautiful, and it was obvious it was crafted with care. I am still so impressed by the beautiful arrangements created by Denise and her staff at Walden Floral Design Co. Denise was recommended to me through my sister-in-law (who has planned countless weddings and corporate events) and I could immediately see why - Denise was so easy to work with, pleasant to talk to, and incredibly invested in my own wedding day. My country chic wedding with mason jar table tops were exciting for her to work with (instead of being a possible 'hindrance' since it was a little out-of-the-ordinary). When we first met with her, it was late in the day but Denise stayed late to talk with us at length, show us a variety of options, and help us choose complementary flowers. We really liked how she listened to us and incorporated information we gave her into the flower choices.
Walden provided table flowers, boutonnieres, corsages, bride bouquets, and flower petals to line the aisle and flower girl. Everything they put together was perfect, and we never once worried about how the flowers would turn out. In fact, it was a relief to not worry about this piece of our planning.

Moe and I had a pretty specific vision for the flowers at our wedding because his sister and only sibling, Heather, passed away in a car accident years ago and to honor her memory we wanted Heather, the flower, the be the focal point of all of our flowers. We reserved the entire space of Carlucci restaurant in Downers Grove and Denise and her team turned what is otherwise a nice restaurant in to a GORGEOUS wedding space. We could not be been happier with everything that she and her team did. From the ceremony flowers down the aisle, to my bouquet and Moe's boutonniere, to the Heather bunches that she had draping the pergola outside to the centerpieces on the dinner tables everything was truly breathtaking. Denise even had her own vision and ended up putting a special touch on the fountain at her insistence and treat. All of that and according to many brides I've talked to we got more than a lot for our money as well. We put our faith and trust in Denise and her team and wouldn't change a thing about how our flowers turned out. Thank you Denise and team at Walden Floral!!

I cannot tell you how beautiful and how perfect the flowers were!!! They were even better than I imagined! I was speechless. The bridesmaids loved their bouquets and all of the arrangements at the church and at the reception were just beautiful! I received so many compliments on the flowers. Walden Floral went above and beyond the level of service that I expected of them. From the first consultation to the day of the wedding, my daughter and I were given excellent advice, quick responses to our questions, gorgeous floral arrangements, bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, and decorative pieces. Walden Floral provided flowers for the bridal shower, wedding ceremony, and reception. Each event was enhanced by the lush, colorful, and beautifully arranged flowers. Our guests gave us many compliments! Those of us lucky enough to take home some flowers enjoyed the arrangements for several more days. Deliveries were made on time. Set up was done efficiently and tidily. Walden's staff even looked for other ways in which they could help us tweak decorations that we had brought for the events. We chose red roses for the wedding day. The quality of these deep red, thick-stemmed blooms was excellent! My daughter's bridal bouquet, and those of her attendants, were especially striking. We rented some columns and manzanita branches for the wedding day. Walden Floral provided pick-up service afterwards, so we did not have to worry about returning them. We could not have been happier with the service we received from Denise Walden and her staff. If you have a special moment you would like to make more special and memorable, choose Walden Floral. We booked Walden floral for our wedding last weekend. They did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job. The attention to detail was apparent in every single bouquet, table centerpiece, corsage, and boutonnière that was displayed at our wedding. We used red roses and every one was open and blooming beautifully. Denise delivered them to our hotel and even gave us care instructions for the flowers, telling us how to make sure not to crush them and how to hold them and everything. When we got to the venue she had transformed all the tables with her gorgeous displays even using green paper on the inside of the vases to match my wedding colors. Everyone all night and for days to come complimented me on how lovely her flowers made our event. I would highly recommend her to anyone planning an event where they need breathtaking displays of flowers!

My daughter was married just a little over a week ago. Walden Floral did the flowers and they were beautiful! One of the things I appreciated the most was how supportive Denise was of their ideas. They wanted to design and make their centerpieces and have Denise add the flowers. She listened, made suggestions and was excited about what they had in mind. She always returned phone calls and e-mails and worked within their budget. The flowers were perfect. Denise will be the first person I call whenever I need flowers in the future.

When I first started looking for florists for my wedding my venue recommended Walden to us. When I first got off the phone with Denise I knew I made the right choice. She was so warm and friendly on the phone. When we met her for our consultations she have us so many great ideas, I told her to do what she thought would look the best and I'm so glad I did. She did such an amazing job with the bouquets and center pieces. They exceeded my expectations. Denise was in constant communication with me the weeks leading up to my wedding to make sure I was doing ok and that I didn't need to make any changes. She made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with. On the day of my wedding Denise even came to the venue to make sure everything looked perfect for me and I'll forever be grateful because everything was. Amazing florist! We dealt with Denise specifically, and she was a joy to work with. We changed our minds twice on the types of flowers and what theme to go with, and she was VERY accommodating. The flowers arrived early at each location, were set up swimmingly at each, and lasted the whole night without looking droopy, old, or sickly. We had a few flowers from the bouquet made into jewelry, and they lasted a few days after still looking quite good. Thanks again!

I LOVED my wedding flowers and centerpieces!! I was engaged for 2.5 years and picked out my flower a year prior to my wedding date. Denise, the owner, was very tentative at our appointment. Seeing that I knew nothing about botany and flowers in general, she had several books of floral designs, which were her creations, for me to look through. I picked out certain flowers that I liked and then Denise worked her magic, added a few accent flowers, and on the big day the flowers were beautiful!! I was extremely surprise how gorgeous the bouquets and centerpieces came out. When you have your floral meeting with Denise, you should just trust her, because she understands flowers and understands them well. I trusted her judgment completely and just let the professional do her work. She's been in the business for over twenty years, I will recommend her to anyone, and I have!
She answered all of my calls and emails when the two week mark approached. She was professional and VERY reassuring. She treated my wedding as if I was her own. She also stayed for my ceremony, which I thought was very special. Everything came together at the end and she was prompt and on time. I was no stressed about whether the centerpieces and flowers were going to be on time. The boutonnieres were all labeled and gently wrapped -- you can tell everything was handled with care. Everything went exactly as planned and there were no hiccups. I did not worry about "What ifs" because I trusted Denise to get the job done and she delivered!

Walden was recommended by a friend and it was the best advise to try this business. The business is more of a personal service. Denise treated us all like family and really put her expertise to work from just a couple of pictures we brought in from a magazine. Her mind kept going 24/7 but always with what we wanted. She came to our venue ahead of time to be sure her designs would work and she was so accommodating to make up more table arrangements in the last week before wedding. Her design team made an already beautiful venue even more magical. I brought my table arrangement home after the wedding and it lasted over a week. Very fresh flowers! I couldn't have been happier with the results from this vendor.

Additionally, Denise's team efficiently and professionally removed the flowers from the ceremony to the reception so that we could enjoy them in both venues. For this April wedding, we needed to plan and execute the flowers in a relatively short period of time, and Denise responded quickly within our budget and just as was agreed upon. My husband and I met with Denise for consultation on our wedding flowers, which included all bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and church arrangements. Our reception floral centerpieces were included in our agreement with Hilton of Lisle and they strongly recommended Walden as the best of the vendors they offered for flowers. The floral centerpieces I had dreamed of were within the inclusion and Denise gave me a quote on my personal flowers. I had a total of 29 bouquets, corsage's, boutineer's, etc. and Denise's price was very reasonable! She was very thorough, she took into account the style of my gown (even made a sketch of my dress), color of bridesmaids dresses, photography light/angles, my desire for a variety of flowers, etc.
My flowers were one of the only parts of my day I had no doubt/fear that it would turn out PERFECT! Denise is AH-MAZING!

We used Walden Floral for our wedding on 6/10/11 and could not be happier with how our flowers turned out. They provided us with flowers for all 14 members of our bridal party, as well as altar arrangements and centerpieces for a reasonable price. The quality of the flowers and the beautiful of design of the bouquets were amazing. We received so many compliments on how gorgeous all of the flowers were. The centerpieces they provided for the reception were absolutely stunning as well. Denise was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. She really listened to what we liked and disliked, as well as our budget and the end result was better than what I had pictured. I just had my wedding this past weekend, and I absolutely loved all of my flowers. My bouquet was exactly how I pictured it to be. Working with Denise was a wonderful experience. She was one of few of my vendors that I had confidence in throughout my planning process. She was great about helping me stay within my budget while still having elegant centerpieces. She was very accommodating with my venue to have everything set up in time for my wedding even though my venue was not being flexible. Believe all of the great reviews. Walden floral was the best choice :) My husband and I had a $1000 budget for flowers, and they stayed in our budget completely. When I went there, I had no clue what to do, or what I wanted for my flowers. I just knew that I wanted sunflowers for the bridesmaids. I worked with Denise, and she is a visionary. She helped me visualize my flowers, by bringing out some stems from the back fridge. After I met with her, I felt confident that my flowers were going to be amazing. On the day of, when I first saw them, I was in awe. They looked fantastic! The bridesmaids flowers, mine, the guys, the moms, and altar pieces. They all looked fabulous! As part of our Hilton reception package, our centerpieces were included & we had to choose between two florists and once I saw the pictures in the gallery of Walden Floral's website, I had made my mind up. Denise was such a pleasure to work with & suggested some great ideas for indecisive little me. I wanted a look that was simple but with an understated elegance and Jennifer showed me two centerpiece options that were part of the package but she scaled them down to achieve that understated elegance look I was going for & I was ecstatic at how beautiful she made it look & the day of our wedding, the centerpieces looked even more beautiful & complimented the ballroom.
