  Peter and Eve prepared all the flowers for our daughter's wedding. They were a true pleasure to work with. They prepared magnificent bouquets for the bridal party and stunning centrepieces for the reception. People were truly wowed by the flowers when they entered the ballroom. We met with them several times and they were always open to new ideas.

  Peter was amazingly helpful in helping me create the vision I did not realize I wanted. I loved all of his creations and all the bouquets were stunning!

  Peter was a joy to work with. Very knowledgeable and provided great suggestions on the flowers to be used in the bouquets and table center pieces. I was extremely happy to see the final design of each of the center pieces lining the tables at Bridges Restaurant, they enhanced the natural beautiful of the space. My bouquet was gorgeous and I love the beautiful flowers incorporated into two topiaries at the top of the isle.
  
  I would highly recommend anyone to use V&J Plant Shop for your wedding.

  I had not even seen an online review or ad for V&J Plant shop in reference to weddings. The only reason I happened to think of them to do my wedding flowers was because they are one of the flower/plant shops in the Granville Island Market and I walk past the shop often when I go to the Market for dinner ingredients. On a fluke I walked in and spoke with the staff about wedding flowers.
  
  My biggest concern was budget. I did not want to spend over $400 on flowers for the entire wedding. Although I love fresh cut flowers, I had no need to have huge centerpieces, preferring to have a few bud vases per table with one stem in each. My preference for single blooms was mostly because I didn't want to just throw out 10 huge centerpieces the next day, nor did I want to give away the flowers to guests, as most of our guests were from out of town or out of country. And although I love flowers, I couldn't even comprehend where I would put 10 centerpieces in my house the day after.
  
  For $390 (including tax) I got the following: 1 bride's bouquet, 2 bridesmaids' bouquets, 2 mother's corsages, 1 father's boutonniere, 2 groomsmens' boutonnieres and 1 groom's boutonniere. Plus, 15 stems of white fluffy dahlias, 10 stems of picasso calla lilies, (all stems cut to size), a huge bag of lavender rose petals, vase rentals, and free delivery to my venue.
  
  The bouquets were gorgeous and exactly what I had wanted - beige/white roses and freesia for a little scent with dark red/purple calla lilies as highlights with a beautiful flowing beige/cream colored ribbon tied under the blooms. The boutonnieres were fabulous, the groom was so pleased with his that he kept it. They were simple and structured calla lilies with spear leaves as accents.
  
  All in all V&J were the nicest florists I spoke with; they were exceptionally accommodating and tremendously friendly and easy to work with. The owner and the lovely lady who did the arranging of the bouquets and bout's (Lianne) were extremely helpful and great with my instructions - which were very unformed and not at all decisive - of make something pretty with some white flowers and accent it with something dark purple.

  Peter was laid-back, his flowers were gorgeous, and he really worked within my budget. I sent him a few pictures of what I liked and asked him to work with that and what was in season - and the flowers exceeded my expectations. They offer services like vase rental for a very reasonable price (much less than buying!), and more than a week after the wedding - most of the flowers (especially in my bouquet) are still going strong, gracing our home. The prices are extremely reasonable and the quality is top-notch - I can't recommend them enough!

  I saw them featured in a local wedding magazine and it inspired me to pop in and get a quote a few months before my wedding. Peter was able to work within my budget and showed me different combinations of flowers when I didn't know exactly what I was looking for and I was sold. He was realistic and down to earth and a pleasure to work with, unlike the other Granville Island florist that wouldn't give me the time of day. I then met with Leanne who actually does the arranging and it was nice to confirm my visions with her and I felt very confident that everything would be perfect. Overall I was thrilled with the flowers on the big day, they arrived on time and the rented vases were picked up the next day from the venue by V&J. My bouquet was gorgeous and I absolutely loved it. I chose the smaller centerpiece choice for budget reasons but in retrospect they were smaller than I imagined they would be. To be fair I don't think anyone else really noticed though and its nice to have the extra cash now:)
  The only disappointing feature was the ribbon on the bridesmaids bouquets came undone and a few flowers fell out during some jumping photos. I also wished they had used a different colour of ribbon with the bouquets and corsages/boutonnieres, but I didn't think to check into that beforehand so I can't be too picky. Future Brides - Ribbon colour is a nice thing to confirm:)

  Peter at V & J Plant Shop was a God send! He kept our flowers under budget and did an amazing job on my bouquet!! Peter and his team exceeded my expectations and I wouldn't hesitate in using them again, for business or personal orders.

  We loved working with V&J Plant Shop leading up to our wedding. They worked with us to bring my ideas from thoughts into reality, and their pricing was reasonable. I would love to give them higher scores, because they were so great in advance... but our flowers were very very late on our wedding day, and when my mom phoned to find out what was going on, she was treated very unprofessionally. When the flowers did arrive, they were very apologetic, but it was still disappointing. I very much hope this was a fluke issue.
