  Vanessa is simply amazing!!

  Vanessa is SIMPLY AMAZING! Her photos are flawless, her personality is contagious, and she made us truly enjoy taking photos (which is a first!). We completed our engagement shoot with her and she made the whole experience such a blast, even when I was under the weather. After we saw the sneak peaks, we knew she had to book her for our upcoming wedding! In addition to the fabulous experience, all of my friends have pointed out the quality of her photos. The clarity is so clear, that even our photos from FAR away, you can zoom in and see perfectly without any blurriness. XO Thank you so much Vanessa!
  
  Update after our AMAZING WEDDING PICTURES!!! I needed to add that Vanessa absolutely was the highlight of our wedding and you should ABSOLUTELY BOOK HER NOW.   Love her. Work with her often (I’m a wedding planner). I work with tons and tons of photographers so I’m pretty familiar with all things Wedding and she’s definitely one of the best I’ve ever worked with in ten years of planning! Love. Love. Love.

  Vanessa is wonderful. Her professionalism and responsiveness is one of a kind. I didn't have the time to research poses and fun ideas so I was more than pleased when she showed up with so many creative ideas. We will definitely be going back to Vanessa Hicks very soon!

  Vanessa took photos for both our Baby Announcements and then Family Photos once Charlie was born. She is amazing. Very flexible and easy to work with, taking pictures of a newborn we are essentially on the baby's time. She was very engaged to ensure that the perfect shot was captured. Vanessa does her homework on different shots to ensure she incorporates the right amount of posed and candid pictures. During our announcement photo shoot, our 5 year old started chasing a butterfly playing around like any child would. Vannesa did not miss a beat and captured the most amazing action shot of Avery and this beautiful butterfly. If you are looking for a talented, patient, creative photographer that will work with you to capture the perfect moment in time look no further than Vanessa Hicks Photography.

  I had to rewrite this revue, but thats okay because I feel like I can add more here. First and foremost, when you book with Vanessa, not only are you getting an amazing photographer, I promise you that you will walk out with a friend! Her passion for what she does is evident with the first phone call! She had her ideas, but stressed that this was MY wedding, and she would do whatever I wanted. Even though she isn't a wedding planner, she was my go to girl through it all! She helped me with vendors, where to order decorations, everything! At the end of it all, I felt like she was guest and not my photographer! I promise you will not be disappointed with Vanessa Hicks Photography!

  Vanessa is a wonderful and creative photographer and friend. She worked with us at a location of our choice and adapted to different areas that we would not have thought of using otherwise. We STILL love our pictures, 5 years later. Thank you again.

  Problems resolved

  After confrontation and getting my pregnancy pictures, Iam changing my previously one star review. Vanessa has a great energy and photoshoot was fun. My sneaks took 2weeks and the link for my full galery was sent from different server and I never got it. Anyway - during my almost 4months of waiting I tried multiple ways of communication that was going on without her reaction.
  Final summary - shooting was fun, pictures are beautiful, but communication was extremely frustrating.

  20 months later - memories gone

  We hired Vanessa as the photographer for our wedding in October 2022. As of May 2024, all we have received is a handful of proofs that we received immediately after the wedding. It has been 20 months and despite multiple attempts to contact Vanessa and provide opportunities to resolve her failure to deliver on our contract (such as the clause regarding selling the services to another contractor in the event she can’t deliver), she has not responded to any messages. However, during that same time, she posted numerous times on instagram to all of her clients/followers and has recently been showing posts about new client photo shoots all over the world. Yet here we are, no photos, money gone, and no communication.
  
  She is essentially another one of these social media business types, who is all show and does not treat her paying clients, who trusted her with one of life’s most precious memories, with the respect or dignity of communication and resolution. Instead she just pretends like we don’t exist and moves on.
  
  If you care about actually getting your photos and the memories of these special occasions in your life, don’t hire her!

  No photos 6 months after wedding

  Buyer Beware!!! We paid Vanessa thousands for our daughter’s wedding photography 6 months ago on 6/25/22. We’ve received nothing since except the sneak peek photos. After a variety of excuses, she has stopped responding to our daughter’s multiple, polite inquiries. We are not the only clients she has ghosted. She is in breach of contract and we have initiated legal action. Avoid at all cost!!!!!
