Great Venue and Location

The venue is gorgeous! The staff goes above an beyond to make sure your day is what you expect. The event coordinators really worked with us and set time as side to make sure we had everything we wanted for the layout. I highly recommend, the photos are phenomenal with the lake view!

Beautiful Venue and Friendly Staff!

We toured the venue this month and it was lovely! Mackenzie was very friendly and helpful. It was an informative tour and we're looking forward to the open communication as we plan our wedding. We've booked this venue and can't wait for our special day!

Val Vista Lakes Wedding Venue 02/22/20

Janet, Janel, and Mackenzie were amazing working with us to use Val Vista Lakes as our venue. They were so informative in giving us our first tour and answering any questions while we were looking for a venue and even more responsive with our questions after we signed with them.

We picked Val Vista Lakes because it's such a beautiful venue with a beautiful reception area with a window wall that looks out to the lake and hardwood floor and chiavari chairs inside. We loved that we could choose all of the vendors that we worked with and ended up using several of the vendors that were on Val Vista's recommended list. It definitely made our wedding feel more like us and less like a package that we had no agency over.

On our wedding day, the grounds and reception area were both immaculate and all of tables and chairs were ready for us to setup before we arrived at the venue. Mackenzie was also there in case we needed anything but the rest of our vendors were already experienced with Val Vista Lakes so the entire day went very smoothly. We had 162 guests (17 tables) and the reception area was a good size to seat all of them and still have room for the dance floor and room for the bar. You could probably comfortably seat another 3-4 tables. Also, because the venue also has the living room area, lawn, patio, beach, and garden areas there was plenty of space for our guests to mingle around during the cocktail hour and reception.

Our wedding was just perfect and we can't thank Val Vista Lakes enough for being a part of our day.

Such a beautiful day! Awesome Venue!

So I’m gonna give you future brides a little heads up about Val Vista Lakes. In the summer - up until September 30th - Val Bista Lakes will give you a great deal to book their venue because that’s Arizona wedding off-season (cuz it TOO DANG HOT!). There are three areas you can rent at Val Vista Lakes (aside from the conference hall but that’s not wedding related): the reception hall, the grassy oval (good for a ceremony), and the Palm Patio (perfect for a cocktail hour. With any rental you have to at LEAST rent the reception hall (which you could use as your ceremony and/or reception area), but you can also the grassy oval, palm patio, or both! I ended up renting both and booked my wedding date for September 21st and got 25% off the rental! So if I’d booked any other time of year (fall through early spring) I would've had to pay $5600 but it ended up only costing me $4200(and that’s including the deposit that was later refunded to me)! And The great thing about Val Vista Lakes is that when you book with them, yours is the ONLY event going on at that Venue, no competing for parking, no wandering guests. And you can also take pictures just about anywhere around the venue, in the pretty beach lagoon, or up on the hill and around the waterfalls, it’s gorgeous!
The rental only comes with tables, chairs and your choice of special color lighting in the reception hall, but that was perfect for me cuz I could choose whoever I wanted for my vendors(which was a rather unusual bunch lol). Also you could rent more things on top of the space such as a boat (it IS by a lake!), a TV to show video or slideshows and Chiavari chair upgrades. I didn’t end up renting those cuz I couldn’t afford them but they were still really cool options!
The event managers were really helpful and very communicative and at the end of the event they even gave me this beautiful frame as a gift! How cool is that??

Desert paradise!

Janet, Janel, and Mackezie made our wedding day so easy! They kept in contact months before our wedding day, made sure that we knew what to expect and help plan our day of to a T. They worked with our day of planner seamlessly bringing the all around vision of our wedding day together and I can say honestly 100% say that it was so much more than we expected! It was the best day of our lives and all of these reps worked so hard to make sure it was. The ceremony space, reception, cocktail hour space, brides room, kitchen, literally everything was perfect and we had 200 people at our wedding! We are so thankful that we chose them and recommend them with the highest honors!

Best decision

We’re so happy we chose Val Vista Lakes. We got married on 3/16/19 and everything was perfect. The staff is helpful and responsive, the updated ballroom is gorgeous and the grounds make for beautiful pictures. I loved that we were able to bring in all our vendors and customize our perfect wedding. I would absolutely recommend- in fact, I already have. A friend of mine is getting married there in March of next year.

Such a beautiful venue

The Val Vista Team was really great to work with from our initial visit all the way through the wedding day. This venue really feels unique and being able to bring in all your own vendors really makes things flexible.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Val Vista Lakes couple of months ago and we are very happy we picked this place as our wedding venue. The place is absolutely beautiful. There are multiple spots for awesome photos. We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was. Not only is the place beautiful but the staff are very accommodating. They are quick to respond to my inquiries and are very professional. Mackenzie was absolutely wonderful to work with. She assisted us the day of our wedding and the rehearsal. She made sure we got everything that we need and is just very helpful throughout the process.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Val Vista Lakes on 11/4/2017 and everything was perfect. The staff leading up to and the day of were so great and helpful the entire time. The venue is so gorgeous that you don't even need to decorate, which really helps a lot. Every guest complimented how beautiful the venue was and how nice the staff was. Mackenzie was the true MVP. She assisted us the day of the wedding leading up to the ceremony and I would have been seriously lost without her. Val Vista Lakes, thank you sooooo much for everything!! Your staff made my wedding experience amazing!!!

Just got married here last Sunday on April 09, 2017! With all the venues we looked at and with what we were wanting we couldn't have got any luckier to have found this place! Janet and Angie were so helpful the entire year of planning and all the questions we both had. The venue is absolutely beautiful and kept in wonderful condition. There were people outside swimming during our ceremony and the parents had the little kids extremely quiet and behave and the older kids were also very respectful, you couldn't even tell they were there! Loved the fact that you could bring your own alcohol as long as you had licensed bartenders, loved that you could be there at 10am, and really loved how much we saved by doing it on a Sunday! I would highly recommend any wedding or party here! We loved everything about it and our special day!

This has got to be one of the most beautiful places to have a wedding ceremony at. The grounds are amazing. Janet and Angie were wonderful. They helped us plan and answered my many emails promptly. Val Vista Lakes is the best venue! When my fiance (at the time) and I parked to do our consultation we knew immediately we wanted to getting married there. Then we met Janet and Angie, two AWESOME ladies to work with- thank you guys! The venue was clean, the ceremony grassy circle was gorgeous, great landscape, beautiful waterfall, it was exactly what we pictured for our ceremony spot. Very San Diego-like! Cocktail patio was perfect for our guests. Great spacious patio with tables & chairs with a nice bar on the lake. And of course the reception is always the most fun! We wish they offered a reception to be outside but the inside worked just as fine! Perfect setup, tables/up graded chairs/bar/full kitchen/stage/dance floor/bathrooms/ etc. It was the perfect night for my husband and I. I will say, without Angie and Janet we would have been lost. They were so quick to reply to emails (within a couple hours), they were right next to us as we made decisions and offered wonderful advice. Go to VVL if you are looking for your venue to be outside by water, green grass, waterfall as your background, friendly service, elegant and classy. Thanks VVL! We absolutely loved our experience and do it all over again if we could!

This is an absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding. The event planners are very helpful and courteous. The lakes, pools, waterfalls, palm trees are just stunning. The wedding was all we could have hoped for. We highly recommend this venue.

If you're looking for an outdoor garden wedding and spacious indoor reception, you MUST check out Val Vista Lakes in Gilbert. It's perfect and the wedding coordinator isn't pushy and will work with you in regards to payments and your date. I suggest the more advance notice you give, the likely your date will be available. Don't wait til the last minute. Book as soon as possible! Oh, they have TABLES AND CHAIRS! Yay!

We were really impressed with the Val Vista Lakes. It is a gorgeous venue and just what we wanted without going to another state. It's a cross between garden and beach feel. The venue is reasonably priced especially for what you are getting. All the staff were very helpful. I was grateful for Janice's help on the big day.

I had my wedding at Val Vista Lakes and it was perfect. Janet was so easy to work with, the venue is absolutely beautiful and everyone is still raving about it. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone with a larger size wedding since they can handle up to 200 guests with no problem and your pictures with their beautiful scenery will be awesome

Good venue for our wedding. Highlights were the ceremony area outside, awesome waterfalls and a really, really great place for wedding pictures. Started off working with Janet, what an awesome lady. Nice to work with and had a great attitude before we booked, showing us around, while we booked the wedding, and all the way up until the day of the wedding!

Our wedding was on Nov. 2nd 2014 and the grounds were in great shape. The winter lawn looked perfect. Everything we asked for for the ceremony was in place with the chairs. On our actual wedding (I believe her name was Erin) as working with us and was extremely polite and helpful.

Venue is in great shape, we probably came here 15 times before the wedding to look at things, measure a few things, show parents, etc. and the staff never had a problem with it (however, go earlier in the morning when you do this so you do not get in the way of anyone else who has the area reserved for the day)

Outside cocktail bar was great. A lot of space and right on the water.

Inside reception area has a lot of space and we were told it can hold up to 200 people. We had somewhere around the neighborhood of 10 plus the vendors and never felt cramped.

We also had rented the boat for the evening as a gift for our guests. The gentleman that took people on boat rides was exceptionally nice. What a great guy. The guests that took a boat ride all commented on how nice and polite he was.

We were able to bring in our own vendors as well which is a great way to save some money if you have the time to do so. We liked it so we could really pull off the wedding how we wanted to. If you do have alcohol served (I couldn't imagine not doing this) you do need to have a licensed bartender, but I was given a list of several companies they recommend.

For the money this place was a sure bet. It really looks a lot more expensive than the price that was charged. Thanks!

Janet was absolutely amazing throughout the whole wedding planning process and the day of! She promptly answered all of my emails/phone calls whenever I needed answers or had silly questions. We originally started looking at venues the in May last year and Val Vista Lakes was the first place we looked. We immediately fell in love with this beautiful venue but looked around for several more months. We ended up coming back to Val Vista Lakes to take another look and just knew it was the perfect one. We loved that they are so flexible and allow you to choose any vendors that you want. We were able to save a fortune picking out our own vendors and purchasing our own alcohol to be served. Janet and Erin were amazing the day of the wedding at coordinating getting everyone seated, getting the bridal party lined up and walking on time and making sure everything went smoothly!

The staff at Val Vista was amazing. Everything turned out perfect on my wedding day! They helped with everything we needed and Kortni was great at gathering the wedding party and sending everyone out for the ceremony. The entire Val Vista Lakes staff was professional and supportive throughout the entire planning and execution of the wedding. The staff at Val Vista Lakes provided brochures on vendors i.e. flowers, caterers, entertainment, etc. On the day of the wedding everything was set-up perfectly and the grounds were immaculate, not only were we pleased, but our guests made note of the beautiful venue. The ability to provide separate areas for a wedding, cocktail hour, and reception made the entire event run smoothly. It’s been over a month, and friends & family are still talking about the wedding at Val Vista Lakes.

I couldnt be happier with my selection of Val Vista Lakes for my wedding venue. The cost is very affordable, the staff are very helpful and timely, and most importantly it is such a beautiful location. Thanks to Janet and Laura, our wedding was amazing! They were both so professional and it was great to have them both so involved. and the venue itself was just gorgeous. We had both our ceremony and reception there. And with the majority of our guest coming in from out of town, it was the perfect place! Guest were able to take boat rides out on the lake during cocktail hour which they LOVED! :) Thank you for having such a beautiful venue and help make our day so special.

I can't say enough good things about this place. First of all it's absolutely gorgeous. The reception area the waterfall, the surrounding lake it's all stunning. My guests were so impressed with how beautiful it was. You can bring your own alcohol if you hire a bartender and that was such a huge plus for us. You can save a ton of money by booking here because you plan and hire everyone yourself.

Janet is so amazing! Her and her staff were always there to answer my questions. I would always get a quick response back. No matter how last minute I was. She made sure the bridal party knew where to walk and even gave the flower girl a mini rehearsal. I didn't have to worry about anything.

This is a clubhouse for residents so they were around outside but Janet made sure they stayed blocked out. I was worried all the people would kind of get in the way of my ceremony but I was so impressed when I was walking to get married and noticed everything was so blocked off that it was as if they weren't there at all. Even when my husband and I walked upstairs with the photographer to take pictures a resident immediately took off with her child. Everyone made sure to stay out of the way.

I am so happy I chose Val Vista lakes as my venue. I was worried at first about the residents getting in the way but in the end was very impressed and my day turned out so beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better venue!

Val Vista Lakes was beautiful! We were able to buy our own alcohol to offer an open bar, choose our own venders, and have the site from 10am until midnight! Janet was our contact person and coordinator...she was amazing and very helpful. 100 of our 180 guests were from out-of-town and they all praised the venue. Instead of walking out of the building like my bridesmaids, I surprised everyone by walking down through the trees from the path at top of the waterfall (Janet's suggestion). That was the biggest hit of the night!!!

Val Vista Lakes is a fabulous venue to have a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and they do not require you to use there vendors you can bring in your own. However, they have some preferred vendors that do an outstanding job!
Chad Trapeur with All American DJ is absolutely amazing. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. Chad gets people involved dancing and having fun. Chad had everyone saying our wedding was the best ever.
Alan Mermelstein with Moments Found Photography also did an exceptional job for us. Our pictures turned out phenomenal! Alan made our wedding day look like a fairy tale! We posted our pictures on Facebook and ordered prints!
Brown Brothers Catering did a great job as well. The food was well liked by everyone! The caterer found us a wonderful baker Sue Jacobs Cakes did a tremendous job too. Janet was so helpful and kind in showing me around the venue before we chose this venue. The space is beautiful and the price was reasonable. We chose to have our wedding on a Sunday because it was a little cheaper than a Friday or Saturday and we loved the space so much. The inside reception space is so beautiful that you need very little extra decorations besides up lighting to make it beautiful. The waterfall and lake in the outdoor area for the ceremony was perfect! If you want a resort feeling with water and green grass, only inside Phoenix, this is your space. It is very quiet and doesn't seem like you are in the middle of a desert. Thank you Janet and Val Vista lakes for your help. It was very easy to work with you.

This venue is amazing! The waterfall, lakes, greens were just beautiful! The staff Janet and Kortni were wonderful! They were helpful, always responded quickly to any of my questions and requests. Janet was there on the day of and really helped make the day run smoothly. They also gave us a beautiful wedding present! This is the place to go to get married!

I just had my wedding on February 16th at Val Vista Lakes and it was absolutely beautiful. Janet was so helpful throughout the entire process. We had a bunch of last minute guests that we had to email her to add chairs at certain tables and she was more than nice about the several emails. Janet also gives so much advice about anything that you may have questions about. She was beyond nice and just so wonderful to work with. Janet coordinates the ceremony as well as the rehearsal and there is really no need to hire a wedding coordinator when Janet is beyond amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better ceremony and reception at this beautiful venue. You are able to bring in any vendors you want so you can totally customize your wedding to YOU. Which is what you want your wedding to be anyways. I loved that entire day and my guests and family are still talking about it.

There is no words to express how BEAUTIFUL this venue is!!! Janet and Kortni are both the nicest people and so easy to work with!! The only bad thing I can say is at this venue you can enter by boat and I was told that I would be off the boat before the bridal party walks so that I am not rushed, but the bridal party was gone before we even docked and the march was playing. The bridal party was very confused because they were told the samething and were afraid to start walking while I was still on the water, other then that this venue is to die for! They are very willing to work with the bride and groom and are very helpful! I would get married here everyday if I could!

Val Vista Lakes was absolutely stunning! My photographer made us late coming inside for our reception because we just couldn't get enough of the surrounding landscape. It's just gorgeous! Not only is the outside breathtaking, but the inside is perfect! It's got a HUGE ballroom with tons of space for all the tables you could possibly need. It comes with a huge dance floor and a stage setting for any performances you could want. Some people use the stage for the head table, we used it for our live cover band. It was perfect!
It also comes with a piano, which we didn't use, but the possibilities are endless. It was the perfect setting. We needed minimal decor because the place was already beautiful on its own.

Aside from the look and feel of the ballroom, the staff is amazing! They set up everything. They allowed us free range of wherever we wanted to put things. They made it feel like it was almost our home to do with what we liked.

They are also very affordable. We had our reception on a Thursday because weekends are kind of crazy for us. VVL did not break the bank at all! They were extremely flexible on dates, however they book up fast. They also include all the tables and chairs which cost a fortune if you have to rent them. That was so helpful!

The absolutely best part about VVL is their incredible kitchen! They have a full service bar area and the most amazing kitchen you could ever ask for. It's huge, has tons of prep space and an enormous refrigerator. They also have stoves, large sinks, tons of trash cans and everything you could ever want in a kitchen. It's all covered up too, so all you see is the big ballroom and a bar. You can't see any of the craziness happening in the kitchen.

We couldn't recommend them enough. If we were getting married again, or even just throwing a party, we would use them. They made our reception unforgettable!

Our venue couldnt have been better! Its so nice to find a vendor that wont break the bank while also getting to choose all your vedors to really make it your own. Janet is such a big help and makes sure your comfortable in whats going to happen the day of. Your always welcomne to walk thru and plan. It such a stunning place for pictures! You have lake, sandy beach, waterfalls, its epic from a photo point of veiw white is the most important! My guests were in awe of the veiws for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Love it!

Ah... Where to begin... Our wedding at Val Vista Lakes was beautiful and perfect. Janet and Kortni made sure everything was done and coordinated so I could just sit back and enjoy being a bride. I never felt like a nuisance with all of the emails I had to send to make changes or ask questions. They were very professional and very well respected by all of my Vendors. I heard, "Janet is the best in the business" over and over and that made me feel like we made the right choice in chosing that venue. I would recommend this location to anyone. Val Vista Lakes is beautiful - and exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Our date was available and so we booked immediately. Janet was a doll to work with - she answered all my questions, no matter how silly I thought they were! The ceremony was outside in front of the waterfall, and VVL made sure that the chairs were perfectly lined up, the arch was there and our unity table was ready to go. The reception area is all neutral tones, so it made it very easy to decorate with our colors. Janet took us through the whole rehearsal the day before and we left feeling like it would be perfect. And it was. I couldn't be happier choosing VVL. Between the people, the scenery and the accommodations, this place is a dream.

Val Vista Lakes was absolutely gorgeous! I love that they let you bring in all outside vendors which really helps on saving money. It's a great place to get married if you are on a budget. They have great discounts for off season weddings! They also provide really beautiful centerpieces at no extra cost, all you need to purchase is the tea candles to fill them. My reception did get a little warm, so ask that the AC is turned cooler before all the guests arrive. I used Clive Van Rensburg, one of Val Vista Lake’s preferred photographers and was very happy because he was experienced at shooting at Val Vista Lakes. We were able to shoot all our pictures in all the perfect areas quickly to avoid the hot July heat. The outside and inside are both beautiful and perfect for pictures!
I was very happy I did my wedding reception at Val Vista Lakes.

Val Vista Lakes is a beautiful venue and unique to the valley. If you are looking for a venue other than a golf course and cactus scenery, then this is the place to go. Janet and the Val Vista Lakes team are amazing and professional. This place is also great if you want to choose your own vendors such as DJ, caterer, and decor. Janet did a wonderful job meeting with my bridal party and helped my ceremony run perfect. I highly reccommend this venue to anyone seeking a beautiful spot for their wedding and reception.

When we first got engaged, we spent hours researching venues near and far. We live in the west valley, so we were trying to stay closer to home. My fiance & I reviewed Val Vista's website & it was the only venue that he commented on. He told me that was his choice. Long story short, we switched the venue we had initially chosen to Val Vista in Dec of last year. From the second we made that decision, my mind was instantly put at ease. Janet is the one to thank for that. She answered every email with every little question I had, no matter how small or large the question was. She worked with all of my venders the day of my wedding & made sure everything went as I had planned and even timed everything down to the minute. I am so thankful for Val Vista and Janet. My guests were very impressed from start to finish. I can honestly say, I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding! Oh & the place is georgeous!! Many amazing picture opps!!

I had a fantastic experience with VVL. The coordinator Janet was on top of everything at every turn of the way. She took charge when she needed to, but when my day-of coordinator stepped in, she allowed her to take the reins, but stood by in case she was needed. She was very prompt in replying to e-mails, and was always very detail oriented. All in all- I had a great experience with them!

Val Vista Lakes makes for an absolutely beautiful wedding location! I was so pleased with the venue and everything it had to offer. Just gorgeous! I especially liked that I was able to bring in all my own vendors. Janet and Laura was a pleasure to work with as well. Both were very professional and quick to return my emails or phone calls.

Val Vista was the first and only venue I visited, and I fell in love with it as soon as I walked through. My now husband was unable to see the location until the day of the wedding, as he was stationed overseas for a year, but he could not have been happier with my choice in having our wedding at Val Vista Lakes. He loved it as much as I did! Not only that, but we received tons of compliments, more so than any other vendor we used, on how much our guests loved the location. It's beautiful during the day and at night when all the lights are shining, it's stunning!

Thanks a million to Val Vista Lakes for being part of our special day. It could not have been any more perfect. We would recommend this location to anyone.

Val Vista Lakes is a beautiful venue, and was exactly what my husband and I wanted for our wedding. Janet (banquet manager) was very easy to work with, very nice, and always very quick to respond to emails. She was there the day of the wedding to coordinate with the other vendors (until the start of the reception). I didn't have a wedding planner, so this service was very helpful.

The venue is a little pricey, but all things considering, not a bad price at all. We were able to bring in all of our own vendors, including a bartender that allowed us to bring in our own liquor (which saved us a lot of money). Plus, the venue looks really upscale, both inside and out. All in all, I'm very happy about our choice of wedding venue, and I will definitely recommend it to others.

Trying to plan our wedding from hundreds of miles away, we didn't have time to visit a lot of venues before deciding on a place to get married. We found Val Vista by chance and once we saw the pictures online, we knew it's where we would say I Do! It was our own touch of paradise! The place is beautiful with many perfect photo opportunities. They were willing to work with us on everything and were flexible in getting what we needed. Everything ran so smoothly, the staff was wonderful! We are so glad we chose to start our life together at Val Vista. Who wouldn't fall in love again on top of the waterfall?

Val Vista Lakes was recommended by our DJ. They were extremely helpful and very accommodating. The venue is amazing. The waterfall backdrop for a ceremony on the lawn was wonderful... The bride rode in on a pontoon boat as part of the ceremony. The reception was absolutely amazing... they allowed us to use a great caterer and bar-tending service which allowed us to keep costs down form venues that make you use their services. We would recommend their facility to anyone, anytime!

Overall Val Vista Lakes was absolutely fantastic to work with! From the get go we appreciated that they were well-rated, had lots of pictures on their website, and that their pricing was transparent and easily accessible. Our first meeting with them was a little rocky, unfortunately. After waiting for the coordinator we had an appointment with for about 15 minutes, we asked if we could look around ourselves, and luckily another one of the awesome staff members gave us a tour and answered our questions to the best of their ability. After about 35 minutes the wedding coordinator that we had an appointment with arrived very flustered and blamed the other staff members for her tardiness. She was able to answer some more of our questions, but overall was pretty unpleasant and unprofessional. We're not positive, but we think she may not work with Val Vista Lakes any longer. Despite that unfortunate experience with a previous coordinator, we decided to try again, and this time we met with Janet, thankfully! She was great to work with, she seemed very knowledgeable and friendly, and very clearly walked us through what to expect. Between then and the wedding they answered any questions we had about the venue, and helped us coordinate a time to take our engagement pictures at the venue. They were very responsive and helpful during our planning process. About a month before the wedding we met with a different wedding coordinator, Angie, for a planning meeting. Our experience with her was very positive. She was professional, kind, and attentive. Angie worked with us on the day of the wedding, and checked in with my husband and I throughout the day to make sure we had what we needed. My husband and family mentioned that she was helpful in getting little details taken care of throughout the day. She did an excellent job coordinating our ceremony, and helping us carry out some of our unique visions. We got TONS of compliments on how beautiful the venue was, and we agree!

When my husband and I first got engaged, I began searching venues right away since we had already decided on a date. My first choice was Val Vista Lakes! We wanted a beach scene but knew we had to have a local wedding and Val Vista Lakes was the perfect choice! Janet and her staff are amazing and answered every question we had and within a reasonable time frame. When our date got closer, Janet would email us with reminders which was helpful.

We loved that we got to save money by choosing our own vendors for catering, DJ, photography and bartending. We definitely saved money when it came to the alcohol bill this way!

Our friends and family were stunned at how beautiful Val Vista Lakes is, especially the ceremony space which is what sold us on this location. The beautiful landscaping made for some amazing photos and a fairy tale wedding!

I couldn't have been happier with Val Vista Lakes as my venue. I knew on my first visit this was the place for me, and every time after I stepped on the property I always felt the same - like I had transported to some tropical location and couldn't possibly be in Gilbert, AZ anymore. The banquet managers, Janet and Kortni, are extremely professional and these ladies know their stuff. You can fully trust all of their recommendations for preferred vendors and more importantly you can trust that all of the details of your day will be followed through on. The fact that the venue is yours for the entire day and has a very spacious bridal suite was another selling point for me. I was able to have a vendor come onsite to do hair and makeup for my bridal party and I which really helped make the day less stressful while giving me more time to hang out with my girls before the ceremony. The scenery for pictures is beautiful and the ability to have an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour is a big bonus. This was also the only venue I found in the area that allowed you to bring in all of your own vendors – no stipulations. The savings related to being able to supply your own alcohol made this venue a clear choice over others. We held our wedding on a Sunday which is 50% less cost than Fri/Sun. As much as I loved this venue, paying 50% more for just the venue (+ tables/chairs) would have been outside of my budget & not justifiable in my opinion. As for our day, it was perfect and couldn’t have run more smoothly – I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

Val Vista Lakes was our definite first choice! We love the venue (waterfalls, lake background, beautiful inside, bathrooms are nice too!, bridal suite, gazebo for cocktail hour). Additionally, venue location was good especially for anyone who lives on Eastside and very easy to find. Great opportunities for pictures. Plenty of parking for all the guests. We got to bring in all our own vendors and bring in our own alcohol which saved us cost. Our wedding party was 200 to the max and I was worried the venue would look too packed like sardines but it wasn't. IT was perfect!! We even had chiavari chairs at almost half the running cost and it really made the room more elegant! And at initial site visit we thought the dance floor might be too small but in reality, even for 200 guests it was PERFECT. AND we had almost every person on the dance floor slow dancing at one point. This venue is nearly flawless. Janet at VVL is professional and great at her job. Our wedding was beautiful and our sparkler exit was amazing :) our wedding guests started singin Katy Perry's "firework" as we walked out! Only con: community residents swimming in pool and using lagoon. as a bride, i hardly noticed them. as a guest, possib diff story. but after researching venues and doing so many site visits with my fiance, VVL's pros FAR outweighted the only con.

Venue was absolutely wonderful, they made sure ahead of time we we were all on the same page when it came to arrivals and what would be provided. Did a great job of setting up the room before vendors and wedding party arrived to decorate. Janet was wonderful to work with and replied quickly to any e-mails we sent.

We wanted a beach wedding and this was as close as we could get in AZ. The setting was beautiful. Our guests were so impressed. We had a Nov wedding and the grounds had beautiful flowers and at night it was decorated with Xmas lights, pleasant surprise. Janet was wonderful to work with. Everything went perfect.

This is a beautiful venue. The staff was great exspecially Janet. I love that they allow you to bring in your own vendors. I have recommended to others.

Janet was so friendly to work with and made everything so easy in preparing for our wedding day at Val Vista Lakes. She was very speedy with returning emails and phone calls. Just a very pleasant person to work with when planning such an important day! The venue itself was perfect…everything was green and the flowers were all fresh. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to have our wedding!

Val Vista Lakes was the perfect venue for my wedding! The outside landscaping was beautiful - a lake, waterfall, gazebos, flowers everywhere, lots of trees for shade. Once I saw this place, I knew it was exactly what I wanted for an outdoor ceremony. The inside is very nice as well - neutral decor that you can add your personal touch to no matter the color/theme of your wedding. Great size for a moderate sized wedding. The chandeliers inside are so beautiful and add a very elegant touch. There is a nice bridal area for the bridal party to get ready onsite upstairs out of the way. Finally, the staff was so helpful and friendly anytime I was there and definitely during my event. Janet was fabulous to work with! She responds quickly to emails/calls and always answered a million questions happily, giving advice from her experience. Overall the place is a little on the high side for price, in comparison to some of the other venues we looked at. However, I fell in love with it the moment I saw the ceremony area and felt it was worth the price. Almost everyone at my wedding commented on what a beautiful venue it was!

Val Vista Lakes is a beautiful venue. They were great to work with. The only problem I had is that we were told the lagoon would be closed to club members during the ceremony and it was not, there were people in the lagoon during our ceremony. Other than that everything was perfect.

Val Vista Lakes was a beautiful place to have a wedding reception at! We absolutely loved it! The reception area was gorgeous. Outside they have this very beautiful waterfall that you an walk up the staircase to look down upon. Great photo opportunities!!!! It was a gorgeous place to have a wedding reception! Janet was great to work with, very professional and quick response.

Val Vista Lakes was an absolutely perfect place to have the wedding and reception. Because they let you bring in all your own vendors, it helps keep the costs down. Laura and Janet were both very easy to work with and the place is absolutely STUNNING!

It's not an expensive place as long as you're not looking for a Friday or Saturday night (as it is with most places). Then the price jumps, but it's still comparable to other venues.

I couldn't have asked for anything better for the wedding!

We loved our wedding at Val Vista Lakes and everything went very smoothly. Janet was great to work with and always answered questions quickly and was very helpful. Everyone remarked on how beautiful the venue was. I liked the fact that we could bring in our own vendors to personalize the wedding.

AMAZING PLACE TO HAVE YOUR WEDDING!!!! It was so elegant and couture like!! I loved everything about it. Janet was amazing and so so helpful!!... If you are tired of a desert scenery than this is the place for your wedding!!!

Val Vista Lakes was a beautiful place to get married at! We absolutely loved it! There is a brides room upstairs for last minute details. The room is slightly small but it had a beautiful staircase going down stairs into the lobby area. The reception area was gorgeous. Outside they have this very beautiful waterfall that you an walk up the staircase to look down upon. Great photo opportunities!!!! The only thing we were not happy about was with the amount of people we had in the reception area - it seemed numerous times it was a bit warm in the room. Granted we were married in the middle of summer. We attempted to find the coordinator but we were not able to locate her to advise her of the tempeture issues. Other than that, it was a gorgeous place to get married at.

Amazing and Beautiful Venue

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Val Vista Lakes for our wedding - Janet is an amazing coordinator and our day-of contact, MacKenzie, was so sweet.

The grounds are gorgeous and provide an amazing backdrop during the ceremony as well as numerous photo opportunities on the "Mountain". Our guests loved the cocktail hour patio with the cabana bar, and we received a lot of compliments on the boat ride we added for the hour!

The reception hall is beautiful and recently renovated. The full size industrial kitchen, complete with ice machine, and bar made it so easy on our vendors.

The bridal suite has a salon room in addition to a little lounge with mini fridge - I was completely at ease the morning of while getting ready. The space is incredibly enjoyable.

They have a gorgeous lobby and "family room" sitting area were we got to set up nice family photos and albums, and the lobby fit the large photo booth from Vintage Photo Booth Rentals perfectly.

We are so glad we booked here!

The only reason we are giving them a 4/5 stars is that the client is responsible for complete clean up at the end of the night with a hard stopping point. We knew this, but what we didn't also know is that we were completely responsible for taking out the trash to the dumpster. Our day-of planner reportedly refused to, so the night-of contact let us know we were supposed to. My husband and his best man ended up taking out all the trash (accumulated for 120 people drinking and eating for a 6 hour period) at the very end of the night in his tux. It put a damper on an otherwise amazing day, and right at the end when there wasn't much more of a chance to wash the sour taste out of our mouths about it.

If you book here make sure you hire a higher end, profession planner/day-of coordinator. Do not end up like us scrambling at 30m until close taking out trash in our wedding clothes.

VVL was a beautiful venue to host my wedding! I enjoyed working with Janet, who toured us around the venue and was our point of contact throughout the night. For the price, this was my most amazing rental! I got to choose my own vendors and I was allowed to have my husband's family make the food. The only down side was that the original staff I was working with was not the staff that was present for my event, which cause quite a bit of confusion. My husband and the groomsmen specified what they wanted for the ceremony and when the time came, the staff member held them back, which caused them to miss their cue for the ceremony. My bridesmaids were also lined up incorrectly for the grand entrance, causing quite a ruckus with my DJ and a messed up grand entrance. This could have been fixed with increased communication with my bridal party and the assigned staff member. Overall though, this venue is amazing and beautiful :)

Val Vista Lakes was a great place to get married! I got to come in on a boat! Everyone loved that unique entrance. We were married in front of the waterfall. It was so beautiful that I didn't even have to decorate for the ceremony. They helped with all the chair set ups and take downs. Janet was a great help! I would like to give just a little tip for anyone else enjoying a evening wedding. The reception room was a bit dark for me and up lighting was looking expensive, but I found a site! Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse was exactly what we were looking for in a reception venue. The clubhouse is pretty, with picturesque grounds, and they allow you to bring in your own vendors and alcohol which was key for us. The flexibility of this venue is great for couples who want to be able to use vendors of their choice (although this is a lot of work!)

During the planning, and actual reception they are pretty hands off, but this was perfect for us since we weren’t having our ceremony there, and DIY a lot of details. However, the banquet manager was always very responsive and helpful when needed, and we received our deposit back within a week of our wedding.

Overall, I would recommend VVL without reservation, and think that it is easily worth the money especially during the summer season when there is a 20% discount.

My fiance & I fell in love with Val Vista Lakes during our initial tour. It was such a beautiful venue, we knew immediately that we wanted our wedding to be there. Janet & the Val Vista Lakes staff was always very accommodating & helpful. We would highly suggest Val Vista Lakes for anyone who wants to 'wow' their guests. Our families and friends still tell us how beautiful our wedding was, and we couldn't be happier with our decision.

val vista lakes is a gorgoeus place to hold your wedding. They dont offer anything like linens or catering which can be good or bad. You can pick and chose what you like but it will also be extra work for you. Whenever I had a question Janet got back to me within 24 hours. My one major complaint was I found the people living in the community were not considerate during the wedding. At the grand exit everyone was suppose to grab a sparkler. Apparently the church group across the hall was grabbing our sparklers on their way out. FOr our photos people that were living in the community were walking into our cocktail hour, and actually WALKING THROUGH our photos!!! We were told they would do their best to keep the community out of our wedding what happened?

Val Vista Lakes was a wonderful venue and our wedding was amazing. Its a great backdrop for photos, has a private resort feel and is easily accessible. If you want to create your own wedding a la carte style, this is the place because you can use any vendors you want. They are very strict about their rules regarding decor, times, cleanup etc which is why I rated lower on flexibility. I also rated lower on value because a week after we booked our wedding I know the price went up a substantial amount....good for me, bad for the next gal.

I absolutely loved having my reception at Val Vista Lakes. We didn't do the ceremony there but I'm sure that would have gone well too. The facilities are amazing, both aesthetically and functionally, and the price is almost unbeatable. If you don't want to DIY a lot, this is probably not the place for you, as all they provide are table and chair set up and some helpful coordination. For us it was perfect - we brought in all our own (probably cheaper than average) vendors and it went perfectly. Full kitchen, fits 200 people in the ballroom (160 more comfortably), bride and groom suites, full bar area, and lots of extras that you can rent out from them. Definitely recommend for a DIY bride, great venue for a lower than average cost!

Val Vista Lakes is a beautiful venue to have a wedding. Everyone complimented us on the venue. I loved getting married with the waterfall behind us and the lake to the side. I even got to come in on the boat with my dad! Everything went very smooth.
Janet did an excellent job assisting us through the process. If only she could have been there the day of our wedding to help too. I needed the wedding coordinator for a few things and couldn't find her when I needed her and then she didn't have the answers. Oh well. Also, make sure you find people to help set everything up and take it down at the end of the night. The venue doesn't do that for you. Overall, Excellent place to have a wedding!! :)

We loved how it was all in one place but the did have two partys going on in one night witch they didnt tell me about. They where in a different room but it had to us the same bath room and people did know they where there. Just Wish they would have told me

Val Vista lakes! What a great place to hold a wedding. The staff was awesome they would do anything we asked of them. The place was kept neat and clean, the gardens are beautiful I had a very good day.

The only reason they recived a 3 1/2 star for flexibility - I ended up having to do my rehearsal 9 am on a thursday. but we managed.

Au loved this venue from the first time I found it online! Perfect setting right by the lake, with the gorgeous waterfall and flowers in the background. Wish I could do it all over again!
