Gwen made an amazing cake. She met with us multiple times and even made a sample cake for us to try as we wanted something she had never done before. We loved her flavors and the quality of her work. She made the cake exactly like we wanted and it looked and tasted great. I would highly recommend Trifles!

Gwen\'s cakes taste so good! The cake we ordered ended up being much bigger and better than I imagined. It was less than $300 with delivery for 70 people for very large servings of cake. One guest told us he usely doesn\'t eat cake but ours was so good he ate his whole slice. We considered saving the top layer for our 1st anniversary but decided that we will just order a small cake to eat fresh in a year. Her cakes are so good it is worth getting a fresh one and I can\'t wait to have it again!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I can't say it enough, in a sea of upsetting vendors Gwen was the one I felt really earned her money. My cake was beautiful, it tasted divine and not once did I have to worry about whether or not it would turn out alright. I must have changed my mind about three times on the design and Gwen always adapted well and gave me honest input, she was a true pleasure to work with.

When I got fed up with my venue/catering I called her up and begged her to do an appetizer table for me. She of course I agreed with very little notice and my guests loved it! Espically the bacon pastry, and I didn't even get to try one! I can't say enough praises she has earned my husband and I's buisness for life.

My wedding cake was one of my most favorite parts of the day- believe it or not it was THAT gorgeous. I can't say enough good things about Gwen--- she went above and beyond what was asked and gave us an incredible masterpiece. AND she was not very expensive.

Trifles is phenomenal. My Wedding Cake was not only Beautiful, it was delicious as well. Everyone raved about the cake and the chocolate covered strawberries saying it was the best they have ever tasted. They loved it so much, there wasn't any left to take home. Since my wedding, I have order numerous cakes from Gwen and would never even think of going anywhere else. Just ordered my daughters baby shower cake and I know it will be amazingly georgous! Can't wait to see it! Gwen, so glad I stumbled across your bakery years ago!

Gwen's cakes are beautiful, and delicious to boot. We had four separate cakes, each a different flavor cake, and filling combination. We had a spice cake with caramel filling, a Banana Split cake, a marble cake that was soaked in Kahlua, with Frangelico/hazelnut mousse, and a white cake with apricot, and cassata filling. The cakes were so popular that we barely managed to get two pieces to take home with us, besides the top layer which was the spice cake. In fact the Kahlua cake was so popular, that if Lance and I hadn't of cut that cake during the cake cutting ceremony, we never would have tasted it. Her chocolate fountains are also to die for. That was a huge hit after dinner.

P.S. Gwen, I will be ordering more of the marble cake with Kahlua, and Frangelicoin the next couple of weeks. Lance has requested that as his birthday cake. We'll also probably take a couple of small one up to my parents, they didn't get to try that cake either. Also up to my stepmom, she didn't make the wedding.

Gwen, the owner and founder of Trifles, is a phenomenally talented baker and artist. She made both our wedding cake and our groom's cake, which was designed as a surprise for the groom to look like Spaceship Earth (the park icon in Epcot at Walt Disney World), and both of them turned out better than I had imagined, not to mention tasting absolutely fantastic. The quality of her work is something that ourselves and most of her clients do not forget; I'm sure we will be going back to her for more cakes in the future. We mostly corresponded via e-mail, and it sometimes took a week or so for Gwen to respond; she is extremely busy and this is very obvious at times.

The cake was amazing. She was able to replicate our exact desires. It tasted amazing as well. As I expected, people left our wedding commenting that it was the best cake they ever had. I had no intention on freezing the top layer, but soon changed my mind after tasting the cake

After tasting a delicious wedding cake from Trifles, I had to go with them for my own wedding. The cake tasted as good as I remembered and looked absolutely beautiful. They were also extremely flexible with what I wanted. Highly recommended!

I researched nearly 20 cake companies in the metro Detroit area looking for the best value without having to sacrifice design and flavor. Gwen was able to make my beautiful cake for an affordable price and still have a different and unique flavor for each layer. I noticed a lot of designers limit you to 1 or 2 flavors or they have each cake already paired with filling. Gwen may make suggestions but the decision is up to you. We went to our tasting and as I was talking to her about what I like and don't like she busily sketched away. Magicly she designed my dream cake. It's almost like she was inside my head. She has a very good knack of sketching a person's personality into a cake. I will admit I dislike cake but Gwen's cake is delicious!

The cake was delicious and was equally beautiful. They did a great job of making my wedding day that much more memorable. I would reccommend them to everyone because they truly care about the customer.

Gwen is amazing. She is so creative. Our cake was so unique and beautiful. We had three different flavors and they were all amazing.

I wish I would've known that Ms. Gwen was a vendor on the site, because I would've left her a comment a while ago...but she is the absolute best! She was very esasy to work with and very patient, being that my husband is very picky. She answered all of our questions, and during the tasting she took time to explain every sample! Everyone loved our cupcake tower, they were so delicious. My husband hates choclate, but when he tasted her chocolate cupcakes he was in love! She was very, very helpful,and service was great!

Gwen was a complete lifesaver! My husband and I had planned on making the cup cakes for our wedding cup cake tower ourselves with the help of some friends but as the big day got closer we realized that we just weren't going to have the time to bake over 150 cupcakes! Trifles is my mothers favorite chocolate shop so she called Gwen a week before our wedding and she was able to squeeze us in between 5 other wedding cakes she was doing that day! Sure my dad picked up the cupcakes and my aunt put the display together, but we were planning on that anyway. The cupcakes are delicious and we will be forever indebted to Gwen for being able to do such a beautiful job on such short notice!

Trifles has been in business since 2001. Everything is unique;from the shoppe to the cakes to the owner. There, creativity is key. Take a look at the extensive portfolio to be amazed. There is simply no reason to look elsewhere.
