I was SO incredibly happy with all of our floral arrangements from A Touch of Elegance for our wedding! Lisa was awesome helping me work through my ideas for bouquets, centerpieces and other arrangements and she made everything so easy for me!

Where do I begin? A touch of elegance provided the flowers and decor for my wedding on October 8th, 2011. Words cannot describe the absolutely FABULOUS job they did with designing the centerpieces and other floral accents. Lisa is a genius with her flower concepts and was able to completely take what general ideas I had in my head and turned them into a beautiful enchanted forrest design. My guests kept telling me how beautiful the flower arrangements were and my photographer and videographer both said they wanted to showcase the flower designs in the promotion of their business. I was able to see one of the table desings a few weeks before the wedding and my breath was completely taken away. When Lisa personally delivered my flowers to me while I was in my bridal suite the morning of the wedding I literally cried! Yes, I know they're just flowers but I was so moved by how beautiful my bouquet was. I immediately wanted to freeze the flowers as they looked at that moment and hold onto them forever. I highly recommend A Touch of Elegance for all your flower and decor needs. I will be recommending this team to any bride I come across. Every woman should be as happy as I was about the flowers on the day of her wedding. Thanks for making my day so special!

Lisa and her team were such a pleasure to work with. She has superb taste, and is fantastic at what she does. She was able to simply listen to what I was interested in, and give me the feedback i needed to know what would work or not work in the venue. Everything turned out better than i could have ever expected, and she made great suggestions being mindful of budget. I would recommend her to everyone!

My husband and I got married on 9/25/11. I had only met with Lisa one time about 1 year before my wedding and from that moment I know that she would be the right person to capture my black and fushcia colored wedding. When I went to approve the flowers, NOTHING had to be changed they were perfect. On our big day, when we got to see the ballroom for the first time, it looked exactly the way i had invsioned. I would definately use Lisa and her staff again they were awesome!

Lisa and her team did an AMAZING job!!! She was able to transform my space and give it the romantic, warm feeling I was going for. Watched a little too much My Fair Wedding before my own wedding and Lisa was able to create everything I imagined and within my budget. Lisa is incredibly talented and worth every penny!

I worked with Lisa for the flower for my wedding. Her work is abosulety breath-taking! She is worth every penny. She is very easy to work with, helpful, lay back and flexible with flowers selections. I was exetremely happy with my wonderful arch and centerpieces.

I cannot even begin to describe how BAD i wanted to hire Lisa and the amazing team at ATOE for my wedding day. If I could describe how I felt when I walked into our ballroom, "it was like a hot biscuit coming out of the oven with a dollop of warm butter"....IT WAS JUST OOZING GOODNESS in all senses of the words! I could NOT believe this was OUR wedding. Lisa worked with me so well, and she was so open to my ideas and just got my vision to the point where I literally told her to "do what she wanted and felt looked right" b/c my trust in her skill level is extremely high. Lisa is a lifestyle designer not just a wedding/special events expert. Any vision you verbalize to her she can translate it into MEGA VISION. Your vision...BIGGER! She 150% exceeded my expectations and as many weddings i'm sure, our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was. From the ceremony setup, to our personal flowers, and the amazing centerpieces and lighting...it was superb! She is worth every single RED CENT! Hand downs the best visionary i've ever met!

The centerpieces and bouquets at my wedding were unbelievable and so much more than I ever imagined they could be. The saying, you get what you pay for, definitely applies here with Lisa and her team. The first time we met with Lisa, my husband and I knew she would be able to do something that we would love. We continued to look around due to budget purposes, but once we went back to Lisa a second time, we knew we had to use her. She was very patient with the changes we made throughout the planning and my bridesmaids' bouquets, my bouquet, and the 3 different centerpiece arrangements were absolutely perfect. It was jaw-dropping walking into my reception room...the flowers were over the top and gorgeous, everything I wanted. She is definitely one of the best out there at what she does!

Hired them for my wedding and I have to say I have nothing bad to say about them. Very profesional, on time, beautiful centerpieces and bouquets and etc etc etc ..... Super reasonable prices too :)

Out of all of our vendors, the worst was my florist. I was so disappointed with the entire process, from the first meeting to the quality of the final product. They are in short unprofessional and rude.
When I explained what I wanted, I was basically told no and made to feel like I had no idea what I was doing. There was no explanation or guidance as a customer would expect 'this flower is out of season, but here is a similar flower to use' would have been a good approach; I was basically told what flowers to have based on what would be most convenient for them. The color and style of the flowers that I had wanted were disregarded and they tried to force me into accepting what they had wanted to do...Whose wedding is it? Who is the customer? For example; apparently every bride should only have white flowers in their bouquet. The best thing was that just after the meeting where I was told that the flowers I had picked for my bouquet were completely wrong; there was an article in Wedding Magazine highlighting the colors and style of the bouquet I had wanted. Apparently Wedding Magazine is unaware of the fact that all brides should have white bouquets only. A simple question is why would someone want a bouquet to be drowning in their white dress? Shouldn't their be contrast so the bouquet is noticeable? If not then what is the sense in having a bouquet at all? The florist stated that the bouquet should not be noticeable as it would take away from the bride. The bouquet I had desired had hints of orange flowers and was not over the top. Everyone knows the bride is the centerpiece of the wedding and everything else is an accent. This includes the bouquets.
Over the course of the few weeks, there were numerous mistakes on the contract. On one instance they added flowers for our grandparents, but our grandparents are no longer living and this was noted upon our first meeting. Where did this addition come from? The contract was eventually correct, but it was a struggle with many attempts to have it in its correct form. Even when my fiance went in to make the final payment they still did not use the final contract, rather one of the previous versions that had the wrong pricing. On top of all of this, the week of the wedding they ordered the wrong flowers and luckily my wedding planner caught it. I have never felt more insulted by a vendor in my life. This florist needs to understand that they need to listen to their customers needs and wants and not layout what this bride will have as their arrangements...In the end it is the brides wedding and they are the ones paying for this service. Just listen to the customer and pay attention to the details...it is a simple business model.
The day of the wedding everything arrived on time. The centerpieces were lovely, however, the bouquests, boutonierres and corsages were already wilting and falling apart.
Please if you want a friendly hassle free and accommodating florist, do not use this company.

Here was a lesson learned during wedding planning: not just any florist, even the florist that has created every amazing and well priced centerpiece for every family occasion for years can do flowers for your wedding. It's a specific craft and you want someone that does weddings every weekend, not just once a quarter.

We went to our usual florist, spent 2+ hours with her, never thought we wouldn't hire her.....what a waste of time! This woman went from family friend to someone that couldn't be bothered to send us a proposal....and when I'm spending this kind of money, and talking to you at a very slow time of year (post-Christmas and NYE, pre-Valentine's) I'm not going to request an estimate three times. Another well respected florist in Upper Montclair tried to talk us into certain flowers that I didn't really want which was odd, and when I finally (took weeks) got a picture of the ceremony piece (told her we wanted an arch or similar in black wrough iron that would match our non-floral centerpieces) weeks later we got a pitcure of a bakers rack with a flower arrangement on one of the shelves!?....I think she uses it for displays in her store. When we met she looked me in the eyes and said she understood what we wanted for our ceremony, and that I did not need to supply a picture or sketch, that she'd need to rent something, and she'd provide a picture. Another 3.5 weeks wasted.

Then, as I had done during the search for our other wedding vendors, I searched here on Wedding Wire and found Lisa! Not only did I find examples of "wedding stuff" on her website as I had on other florists' sites, what I saw was creative and colorful....because let's face it, not everyone wants the predictable.

I was a little concerned because I'd read here that Lisa was a little expensive. We found her price to be similar to the florist in Upper Montclair that didn't understand what we wanted, tried to talk us into other flowers, and wasted our time....so as far as I'm concerned, Lisa is a value! She gets what you want and delivers....and because I wasn't purchasing centerpieces from her we didn't get to see/approve samples in advance....but we had faith in her. And, by the time we got to Lisa we only had about a month to go before our wedding.....I'm sure she handled us with the same care she gives all of her clients including those that come to her well in advance.

There was one instance where I was shown numerous boutineer styles online and pointed out one that I didn't want, and unfortunately, that's how they came. We only orderd two in that style, for the best man and one groomsman, and they still looked pretty darn good so I let it go the day of. I was floored by my bouquet, the groom's boutineer, and our bridesmaids bouquets, and of course, the perfect black wrought iron arch w/ scroll work (that matched our hurricane lamp centerpieces perfectly) adorned with just the right amount of ivy and flowers for our ceremony!

When we look at our pictures now we love how the reds and burgandys of the flowers really pop! The ceremony arch was an extra that we wanted, but were willing to skip if no florist could do it or if it was too expensive.....it was absolutely beautiful, looked exactly as we wanted it to, and really, really added to the ceremony....well worth the spend!

Lisa was fun to work with, efficient, and she "gets it". She's not pushy, condesending and I doubt she's ever wasted a couple's time as other florists did with us. You really can't go wrong with her!

Lisa's flowers and interpretation of what my daughter wanted "Winter glow 'with purple and gold color scheme were amazing. Her prices are high and when she gives you a quote at initial meeting it doesn't include delivery, setup and tax so that added considerably- The florist I used for my older daughter's wedding wasn't any where near as creative and the flowers were so so However his initial quote was the total bill and there were no surprises.

Lisa was wonderful. She saw my vision and everything turned out beautiful.

I don't even know where to start with this review because I think this was absolutely one of my best vendors of the whole night. Lisa at A Touch of Elegance turned an old-world style room with into perfectly executed modern yet classic ballroom. Every detail, from the lighting to the flowers to the centerpieces, was absolutely perfect. Our bouquets were magnificent and I have heard nothing about good things from our guests on how wonderful the room looked. I am not a creative person, yet Lisa was able to grasp exactly what I wanted even when I didn't know exactly what that was. It was absolutely stunning and I could not be happier with the way everything turned out. Kudos to Lisa!!

Lisa and Erin at A Touch of Elegance were wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process! Recommended by our reception site, Lisa was responsive to all communications and passionate about enhancing the beauty of the day with the arrangements. From our initial consult to arranging for a "trial," Lisa listened patiently and offered constructive, thoughtful advice. Her attention to detail led the Church to be decorated beautifully (people who attended services for the week to come raved about the quality of the flowers and the ambiance created) and the centerpieces turned out perfectly to create a soft, colorful contrast throughout our reception location of Skylands Manor.

The bouquets of my bridesmaids were truly beautiful, bringing in different texture and colors for an artfully constructed contrast. My bouquet as the bride was a PERFECT combination of flowers including a demure pop of color and combination of different flowers. I loved my bouquet so much I have preserved it!

The flowers were of high quality and held up throughout the day (and beyond!). Lisa is very knowledgeable about the flowers themselves to meet your and exceed expectations. A Touch of Elegance was fantastic to work with for any special occasion!
