Tim is absolutely amazing. We worked with him for both our engagement and wedding photos. My fiancé was very nervous for the engagement shoot because we don't get our photos taken often. But Tim made him feel so comfortable right away which made the photos turn out even better than we could have imagined. He keeps it light and fun while still taking amazing photos! He has amazing suggestions for specific types of photos and also is more than happy to take any photos you have in mind.
We will definitely be using Tim for all of our future photography needs and would recommend him to anyone that needs a photographer!Tim Otto Photography's reply:

If I could give Tim more than 5 stars I would! Tim is such a pleasure to work with. He is kind, empathetic, and easy going. I first met Tim in 2020 at a Wedding Convention in San Diego. I was lucky and won his raffle for our engagement shoot! After spending the afternoon with him in Balboa Park my husband and I knew that Tim was the right photographer for us. We didn't even hesitate to book him. Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 2020 and ultimately had to be postponed for 2 years due to COVID. We changed our date 4 times until ultimately we landed on April 2022. Throughout the entire process, Tim was so kind and understanding.
For our actual wedding day, he made the process of taking pictures so enjoyable and fun for us and our wedding party. My husband is not a fan of taking pictures and I felt that Tim and Patricia did such a great job keeping him comfortable throughout the process.
His sneak peak photos were absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see the rest of the photos in a few weeks. If you have not yet hired a wedding photographer please reach out to Tim. He is an exceptional photographer and person. We loved him so much that we plan to do all of our future photo opportunities with him!

Outstanding photographer and awesome guy
Tim took absolutely breathtaking photos. We could not be happier. He is creative and gifted and documented our special day more perfectly than we could ask for. We initially met him for an engagement photo shoot on the sunset cliffs, which gave him the opportunity to see how we interact and for us to get to know him. Even though that day was cloudy and not ideal he made it work. Both the wedding and engagement photos are wonderful and document such special memories for us. In addition, he has a wonderful easygoing personality and was fun to talk to. -

Sharon Sent on 01/20/2018Tim was great! We originally found him as a recommendation from The Prado (our venue). We figured that Balboa Park would be very busy during a holiday week and wanted a professional who was familiar with the park. After reviewing his portfolio and realizing a friend used him and their photos were great, we set up a meeting with Tim at his office/studio. Not only was Tim easy and fun to be around, the photos are AMAZING! We just got them and cannot get over how incredible they are. Everyone we have shared them with is impressed as well. Tim makes being the subject of a photo more enjoyable than I have ever experienced. He helped my husband and I stay calm, enjoy ourselves, and captured the best photos I’ve seen of either of us. I couldn’t be happier with the photos we got – the pictures of us, our families, the celebration and the details are all superb!

User1795187 Sent on 09/04/2014Tim did our engagement photos and our wedding photos. He is creative, organized, artistic, and most importantly....takes amazing photos! Our photos were gorgeous even before any retouching. It was really hard to pick our favorites. Also, he is very efficient and doesn't waste your time taking 100 pictures of the same pose or location. He scouts locations ahead of time and creates a comfortable fun environment. Book him now. -

Sara Sent on 01/05/2013I can't say enough great things about Tim Otto! I had already hired a photographer for our wedding, but later decided that his work was just nowhere near the quality I wanted. I began the search for a new photographer, and once I came across Tim's photos I knew we had to have him. By some miracle, he was available on our date! We met with him only once before our wedding. It was too late in the game to do an engagement session, but it didn't matter to me. After seeing his website I was completely confident that he would give us beautiful pictures. Tim and his assistant showed up on our wedding day on time and dressed nicely, and actually remained quite inconspicuous the rest of the day. All of us (my husband and I, family, bridal party) said we felt like we hardly posed for any pictures. THAT, in my opinion, is what makes Tim's work so incredible. Your day is not interrupted and taken over by posing for the camera. You don't even know he's there. Yet somehow, you get back hundreds and hundreds of breathtaking photos! The fact that most of his photos are not "posed" is what sets him apart from other photographers. You end up with artistic, incredible photos of the real moments that actually happened and are full of genuine emotion. I cried looking through them, because the moments he captured were so real. Just amazing! I would highly reccommend Tim to any bride searching for gorgeous photos full of genuine smiles and raw emotion. He is a true artist! -

We hired him for our wedding and our photos were so amazing we got selected to be in the Weddings magazine.Tim captures such special moments when you are not looking. He is extremely passionate, professional, and always willing to work within your budget. Don't hesitate to hire Tim for you next photo shoot. I promise you will LOVE his work!
