The Waterview was an excellent choice to have our fall wedding. We had an outdoor wedding and it was beautiful. The food was delicious and our wedding cake was excellent!! Everything I had asked for was done correctly and the waitstaff were great throughout the reception. Jon, our event coordinator was phenomenal!

I hate to give such a low rating to such a beautiful venue with amazing food. So if you are looking for gorgeous pictures and amazing food for a pretty good price, then go for it, it's worth it! Bottom line: my wedding day was fine, I was not upset.

What upset me was the process leading up to my wedding day. I was switched to 4 different coordinators, as all of them were quitting. That upset me and worried me. The final person I had, I can thank him for his help the day of, but he was a flake. I will not name him because I don't think he deserves that, but just two days before my wedding he tells me very non-chalantly "oh we can't get that thing you were supposed to have for your cocktail hour" and it sent me into a tailspin because that ONE item, was very important. In the end, he got it for us, but he just had an attitude about him that showed that he truly could give a crap about us.

It was a hard process working and getting in touch with staff there, so be prepared for it. I do not regret holding my wedding there because in the end it was about the guests and they all loved it.

I love the Waterview! I will say that I was a little nervous about my wedding because like some of the other reviews, I had some issues leading up. But the actual wedding day, everything was perfect! I did have several wedding coordinator changes prior to the wedding, but I believe only one of them actually quit (other reviews indicate several people quit). I believe another change was unexpected and unpreventable. I was also concerned b/c the venue does not give you a tasting prior to your event. But really no need, the food was absolutely amazing! We were able to meet in person with the baker (sorry, I cant remember her name) and she made us the most perfect wedding cake. It was EXACTLY what we had asked for! Kathleen was my final coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! When my DJ bailed on me she downloaded all my first songs on her iphone at her own expense, just so I could enjoy my cocktail hour. Her staff was super attentive and made sure everyone was happy and things kept moving as needed. I had a shuttle bus that was bringing many of my guests from a hotel down the street – the shuttle got stuck in a ton of traffic on the way so the Waterview extended my cocktail hour by 15 minutes to make up for the time lost.
The Waterview certainly exceeded my expectations. They worked with me on pricing from the beginning, and when we didn’t meet our required final head count, they worked with me to make up the value in other ways.

My sister got married here back in April of 2010. We loved the place so much that we booked it for our wedding. My Husband and I got married here on Sept. 25. 2011 The food was great.. The help is excellence and the views/property is beautiful. They truely made our night special. All my guest loved the place. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We booked our wedding ceremony & reception at The Waterview. The venue is absolutely gorgeous inside and out! I definitely recommend the Waterview to others.

My daughter’s wedding in June was spectacular. Our event manager was Brian. He made everything go quite smoothly all night and handled our near 200 guests with ease and a refreshing enthusiasm. The food was delicious (lobster bread pudding!), especially the fillet mignon; lots of compliments from our guests on the chicken roulade and salmon. Of course, nothing beats the luxurious atmosphere of the Waterview with the lovely views of Lake Zoar. The trees lit up at night made everything quite romantic. I must mention the wedding cake (marble cake with cannoli cream) as it was quite a hit. Don't pass up the pastry/cookie trays they offer ... superior!

My husband and I could not have been happier with The Waterview! First of all, the location and the grounds, both inside and out, are incredibly beautiful. From the first time that I went to visit, they were so nice and accommodating. Our wedding coordinator, Kat, was amazing and took care of absolutely everything. She made sure that everything ran smoothly and that the groom and I didn't have to think about a single thing on the day of. The bridal party had our own personal staff who literally waited on us hand and foot. They had a new drink for me before I would even realize that I was almost to the bottom of the one I already had. The food was also DELICIOUS! Everything from the appetizers to the pasta to the main courses were amazing, one thing was better than the next. I had so many guests who said that it was the best food they had ever eaten, let alone at a wedding. The portions were huge too... I had chosen the antipasto salad for an appetizer and my uncle started clearing room in the middle of the table because he thought it was being served family style! All of our guests were totally impressed with The Waterview, and like I said, we couldn't have been happier with our choice! I hope every bride is lucky enough to have their wedding at such an amazing venue.

The Waterview was amazing for my wedding ceremony & reception on 7/1/2011. Everything was perfect! Guests were greeted & served champagne & cold water prior to my ceremony while music played. The ceremony went off without any issues. The cocktail hour was perfect-everything was fresh from the raw bar & all hors d’oeuvres & stations served hot food--very key to the foodie in me. All guests said their dinners were delicious & hot. The Venetian dessert table had a great variety & everything was delicious. The pastry chef made my cupcake cake without any fuss-it looked beautiful! The kids enjoyed the chocolate fountain especially.

All Waterview staff were extremely accommodating & helpful. Special thanks & credit to Jon who took over as our planner 3 weeks before hand--not one issue occurred. Our personal staff Emily & Kaitlyn were sweet & always there for our every need.

In one word PERFECT ! From top to bottom this venue is unbeatable . A breathtaking view along with a first class decorated facility , a staff that treats you like you were royalty , and some of the finest food you will ever have . We highly reccomend the Waterview for an experience you will never forget . The coordinator we were lucky to get was Brian Teetman . It truly seemed that Brian was as excited as we were about are wedding . Brian took care of every detail to perfection ! We send are love to Brian for the perfect day he planned for us . I worked with Keith as my coordinator at the Waterview and could not have been more pleased. They really worked with my family and I to make sure the event was everything and more. My family was wowed at the venue itself but EVERYONE raved about the food, to the point where I had people saying they wished they had a restaurant attached just to get some more of that filet migon. The bartenders were amazing as well, as were the drinks. We had a signature drink which they did to a T. Most importantly though Keith had a great way of checking in on us, he even did so with other guests, which people had expressed appreciation of to us. We had a great experience with them and would recommend them to anyone.

The waterview was amazing. It was a great location and our guests loved it!!! It is a very romatic setting and we had the lighting put in. It is completly worth every peny to add the lighting. The food was very good. I thought that it was the best food that I have ever had in a wedding...and yes, I ate every single thing that was there. I didn't want to miss our meal. Our wedding cordinator was with us every step of the way. He was very attentive and was bringing me water every 5 minutos (which I really needed after all the dancing). I had an amazing time and I wished that we had gotten more time. It was a party I never wanted to end. The dance floor was amazing!

We really could not have found a better place for our wedding for the money! Our coordinator Keith was laid back, but definitely on top of everything. I didn't have to worry about a thing! Dean in the business office was a pleasure to work with and was very flexible. The food was great and the cake was elegant and tasty to boot! My only complaint is if you have an afternoon reception, be prepared to move quickly to make way for the evening bunch. As long as you know what you signed up for, you are in for a treat. I highly recommend this place!

Waterview was everything I wanted and then some. The food was amazing. I had Kieth for my coordinator and he was perfect. Everything I needed he got right away he fixed any little issues. Everyone had an amazing time at our wedding. The candy bar, the chocolate bar, and the cooridal station were amazing. Kieth was amazing with email he was always quick to respond.

they were wonderful from beginning to end. the staff was polite, courteous, and helpful. they went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. worked very well with other vendors also.

We cannot say enough about The Waterview! We had our hearts set on this venue but figured it was out of our price range. The staff worked with us to keep it in our budget. Mandy was our coordinator and was spectacular. She responded promptly to all my emails. She took all of our ideas and implemented them in ways we could not have even imagined! The day of our rehearsal we realized we had forgotten to pick up our linens. Mandy got right to work and had the company open specifically to get our order; it was truly above and beyond. The food was AMAZING everyone kept talking about how it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. We also had their lighting package. This MADE the night, as it got darker out the room was washed in beautiful blues. it made everything even more magical and the pictures came out amazing!
