The Surf Club is a fabulous location for a wedding or any other special event. My wedding from the planning stages until the actual day was wonderful. Jamie (our Sales contact) feels more like a friend now. He walked us through every step of the process and even became excited with us as the day drew near. The venue itself is in beautiful condition, everything is luxurious and classy. I felt like a princess and all of our guests commented on what a great location we chose. On another note, the food was spectacular! We had the most amazing cocktail hour and the Viennese hour has to be seen to be believed. In addition, the Maitre D (Joe) and Bridal Attendant (Demi) were extremely professional and super helpful.

Thank you guys for the reviews. I appreciate the honesty. I must say that I fell in love with this place just like everyone else. My fiancé and I are getting married God willing next year and surf club caught our eye. It's very beautiful and I know my guest will enjoy with us on our special day but I must say that we'll pass. I was looking to go meet with them this Saturday but thank God I read the reviews before wasting my time. Nobody wants rude customer service experience and liars; at least not for a wedding. We will definitely look somewhere else. Thanks for the advice

FANTASTIC!!! My Fiance and I had our engagement dinner here and everything about this place was great from beginning to end. Even from the moment you drive into place, the views are stunning.
The staff took care of us, the food was excellent, the view was perfect. They went above and beyond, and overall it was amazing.

The Surf Club in New Rochelle is where you want to have your wedding, anniversary, renewal of vows, or any special occasion you wish to celebrate. My daughter's dream wedding was executed with the utmost of professionalism by their sublime staff. Each and every detail was met with accuracy, eloquence and smiles. It is evident to me that the staff of the Surf Club love what they do and each and everyone of my guest was made to feel welcome and afforded the very best of creature comforts. George, Nancy and Muriel ensured that my daughters "jitters" were handled with kid gloves. The cocktail hour and seated dinner provided for our guest the best of what New Rochelle has to offer. I give this venue a 5.0 overall rating and recommend to any perspective bride and her family the assurance that placing your special occasion in the hands of these consumate professionals will result in the most exquisite experience for all.

We had both our ceremony and reception at Surf Club. Overall, we were very happy with our experience, but there were some bumps along the way. Our first account manager there left without us ever being made aware. So, for weeks, we tried to get ahold of him to no avail. Finally, we found out he was no longer there, and were assigned to a new manager, Jaime. He was very helpful in setting up all parts of our wedding & even threw in some extras when we met with him for the first time. His followthrough was great, but we were worried at times because he would forget about one thing or another in our discussions. It all worked out in the end, though. The house florist there was fabulous!!

The actual day-of was spectacular, for the most part. Thank God I had assigned my new sister-in-law to check over the centerpieces (we made our own), though, as even though I gave them written directions with photos, SC still did not set them up correctly. Other than that and a floral mishap (all the flowers were there, but were given to the wrong people), everything went very smoothly. They even extended our event time at no charge, as one of the shuttles was late in bringing guests. They also packed my car up at the end of the night with the gifts, any leftover decor items, and a few boxes of pastries since my husband and I never even made it to the venetian hour because of photos being taken. I would HIGHLY recommend you ask for Merrill for your Bridal Attendant--she was AMAZING and was worth every penny of her tip. She mainly stayed attending to me for the day, but also kept my husband calm and updated on anything. She was phenomenal and catered to everything I asked.

Although we had a bumpy start, everything really turned out stunning at Surf Club and we were extremely happy with our day. We still get comments all the time on how our wedding was the best wedding people had ever been to, which is a HUGE compliment!!

BEAUTIFUL is what everyone says when they talk about our wedding. They were very curtous and helpfull. I loved how flexible Lisa was with our budget. She helped us pick the right flowers for the season and the price. She gave us an amazing look to our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of the flowers and the attitudes that the staff at the surf club showed towards us on our wedding day. She became more than just our florist; it was like having a close friend decorate our wedding. I cant wait to plan our future events at the surf club!

Everyone is still talking about how exquisite our wedding was from the food to the ambiance and the staff! . Lisa the in house florist is amazing! When I saw my flowers, I was blown away. Words cannot convey how much I loved working with her and how much I loved my flowers. In the initial meeting, they were so thorough by asking tons of questions to find the right flowers, colors, and ambiance for our wedding. They provided the most creative suggestions and they were very flexible. Both my Mom and I walked away from our initial appointment knowing that using Lisa was a good decision. Little did we know, that our decision was one of the best decisions we made.

If I could describe the Surf Club with one word it would be PHENOMENAL! From the first day we met with the Surf Club staff and all the way through the end, they mirrored the definition of quality service! We worked with George Guarnieri, who looked out for us. All promises were kept, and most of all, they were very attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. Any time I had a question they were readily available. I never left a message that was not returned! The hanging chandeliers, the beautiful staircase, the bridal suite, the ballroom with beautiful centerpieces, were all breathtaking! The fountains outside were lit, and from the second you pull into the driveway, and walk in, the feeling of "OH MY GOODNESS" comes over you. This is an absolutely STUNNING venue! Lisa, the in-house florist, did a fantastic job with the flowers! She helped us meet our budget goals and gave us many recommendations and alternative ways to save, and made us feel confident that our reception hall would be as beautiful as it was! Cocktail hour and dessert hour were both held in a beautiful glass room overlooking the water. My guests raved about the elegance of the Surf Club and the food was absolutely AMAZING! The menu had a number of different choices and George was very thorough and gave details for each item that would be served. The flexibility and choices on the menu made it very easy to please all my guests; our families were both more than satisfied! They couldn't believe the amount of food, and moreover, the quality of food that was served. The dessert hour was an experience people never have had before! I HIGHLY recommend the Surf Club with great confidence they will make your wedding an absolute dream come true. With exceptional service, communication, flexibility, delicious food, and beautiful ambience of the venue, leaves us without any complaints at all! I would like to start by saying that Lisa and her team do phenomenal work!! I was so happy when my flowers were brought in and my bridesmaids loved their bouquets so much they are drying and saving them like me! There was no one else that could help bring our wedding alive than Elegant Affairs at the surf club. They were so excited to be a part of my wedding that we felt completely at ease. My centerpieces were exactly how I had envisioned and the sweetheart table they decorated at their discretion was one of the highlights of the decor. I could not have asked for more. You are all amazing and my florist for life!! :) The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. Thank you all for making my wedding so special.

I couldnt leave for my honeymoon without saying thank you so much for making my wedding day a day to remember. The food was delicous, the venue is so beautiful, the staff attentive and my floral centerpieces were stunning. Even my photographer commented on how beautiful my boquet was and how the beautiful centerpieces changed the look of the room. That means alot coming from him since he does hundreds of weddings a year. Thank you Lisa for taking the time to create such a beautiful event. Your talent is like no other. George you and your staff left our guests wanting nothing, thank you and the entire surf club team for making this a day to remember.

Working with the Surf club has been a horrible experience. I would not recommend this venue to any bride. They make you use their own in house florist and make promises that later turn out to be lies. They also kept adding additional charges just 4 days before the wedding. Telling us that if we did not pay the additional charges we would not have a wedding. After researching I realized I should have read their reviews prior to falling in love with how beautiful the venue was. Had I done that I would have realized that many couples go through the same awful situation at the surf club. They are not professional and rude. Worst experience we have ever had to deal with.

Everything was amazing from start to finish, from my first visit to the florist/cake tasting to the ceremony and reception. I worked with Jaime, George and Carlo. Jaime got back to me promptly with answers to all my questions. My wedding list doubled and I changed my date a few times. With all of this going on Jaime was very accommodating and understanding with a smile always. Lisa the in-house florist handled everything I threw at her without blinking an eye she turned my vision into a realty. The flowers and décor at my ceremony and reception should be put in a magazine. They were picture perfect and every bride should be as lucky to share in her ideas and work with her she is great. The service was always impeccable thanks to George and the food/cake was outstanding… The Surf Club can truly make anything you want or ask for happen! On your wedding day all of your needs/wants will be anticipated by the staff there.

AMAZING.....Is not even enough to describe the staff and how they went out of there way to make you the wedding of your dreams.. It is pricey but you get what you paid for. I will have my parties here for the rest of my life. I cant say enough about the wonderful quality of service. The flowers, food, service all outstanding! Lisa was a dream come true. The product she puts out and her vison made my wedding an unforgettable event. Thank you all for making my day a memorable one.

My centerpieces were not like the sample lisa presented. I ordered black magic roses with champagne roses. the sample had tiny flowers as a filler. on our wedding day they used some nasty yellow pollen looking baby breath type of filler. They were red and light PINK roses. I HATE PINK!!!! really??? what a way to cheap out!! crooks!
Our cocktail hour we were supposed to have 7 passed hor'dorves and we had 5 that we wanted. The 6th was what we didn't want. Mozzarella and tomatoe Because our appetizers were mozzarella and tomatoe. There was no 7th as promised!
I specifically said i do not want my event pre plated. I bought menus specifically to be placed on each plate. NOT next to it. Surf club staff pre-plated it.
our ice block during vienese was supposed to be a heart shaped sculpture with our initials if the initials fit. We asked what size photo fit. Jamie said 8x10. We laminated an 8x10 photo and gave it to the maitre d George. Instead of a heart we got an ice block with a photo! And then the "executive chef" said the photo is too big?!? There is no communication in surf club!!!
When we went to pay the final head count Jamie did not say that the kinetic lights were not paid for. (They wanted $1000 to flip a switch) Jamie didnt even have the contract in front of him to see what we owed and what was extra. Instead he had us pay at the reception desk. At the wedding, Maitre d shut off the lights INSTEAD of talk to us before he did that to say "hey guys the kinetics are $1000 extra". all the mistakes the surf club made you'd think they would have handled themselves a little more professionally.
I will never refer anyone to the Surf Club again...

I had my wedding at the surf club and it was everything that we dreamed it would be. The staff was amazing. All of our guests were flawed. Lisa the in house florist was AMAZING. She made our wedding everything we invisoned it to be. No deatil big or small was missed or ever an issue. My husband and I were breathless when we walked in the room and saw our centerpieces. Thank you to all at the surf club for making our day a memorable one.

The day of the wedding way GREAT! The days leading up to the wedding was a nightmare, in large due to hurricane Sandy. However, management still needed to take responsibility. TWO days before my wedding i had to leave work early, as I did not hear from them for days, nor did anyone call me back. The place had lost power and their phone lines were dead. They avoided me, even after I went there in person, texted them and left vm's, they suggested I should change a date, but would not cancel or refund. I couldnt change the date as my dad was here from Taiwan. The day before the wedding I was essentially told: still no power, event will be lit by candles, and my DJ needs his own generator. Long story short, the day before the wedding was spent talking to chamber of commerce, politician and media, as a last resort. Fortunately, 3 hours before the wedding, the power came back on. We got the entire place to ourselves, we originally had the upstairs room only (but this was only due to the circumstances surrounding the wedding, (the downstairs party had canceled). Upstairs was the cocktail hour- the food was great and abundant. My guests thoroughly enjoyed the cocktail hour food and were all stuffed. For the main course, we chose, the coconut crusted salmon, filet Mignon, and pollo al a surf club. All were a hit, even to the pickiest. I had heard bad reviews on their cakes, but honestly,people raved about it. We chose chocolate cake and canoli filling. Lisa, the in-house florist, did a wonderful job, a pleasure to work with in the male dominant catering hall, the dais table, centerpieces, lobby were all beautifully decorated. Nancy, the receptionist was also great, sweet lady, she clarified things for me and even tipped me on where to buy some things for the wedding. The maitre'd, bridal attendant had all done a superior job. Had it not been for the communication problems leading up to my wedding, I would have given them a much higher rating.All worked out in the end though
