A perfect experience!
Honestly, my experience at The Plumed Serpent was the most perfect wedding dress shopping experience I could have hoped for. I went to SIX different bridal salons across CT and MA.... and this was THE BEST. From the ambiance to the dresses, to the team that works there. Leo, my consultant, was AMAZING! She listened to me, made me feel so confident in everything I tried on and offered amazing suggestions outside of my requested designs - in fact, the dress I ended up saying "yes" to was one she picked for me! My mom, best friends and I had the best time - I never felt rushed and I never felt pressure to purchase a dress (like I did at other others). Truly, just the most perfect experience from start to finish!

Amazing!
Working with the team at Plumed Serpent was an incredible experience!! My interactions with Alison and Lissa were beyond expectation!! This team went above and beyond to make sure my experience, my wedding gown, and my wedding were the exact fairy tale that I had imagined and I am so grateful to them!! They treated my bridal party and mom with such kindness and respect and they really made me feel like a bride should feel...extra special!!! Alison is beyond professional and responded to my every email and every text and I felt so safe and secure with how my dress would end up! And Lissa...there are not enough words to describe the talent of this woman! She is a master at her craft and I never once questioned her decision and always felt at ease once she was in the room!!! Great Experience
Before my appointment started I was feeling a little apprehensive and not very excited because I had a less than stellar experience at my first bridal appointment at a different shop in Soho. However, my mind was immediately put at ease when my appointment started at the Plumed Serpent.
Everyone was so friendly when my mom, my sister and I came in. We were shown to the dressing area and offered water (which they brought out in champagne flutes - so cute). Next to the couch there was a sign saying Reserved for Katie, which I thought was such a nice touch! The whole shop is bright, beautiful and clean.
Krissy really made my whole appointment not only easy, but truly enjoyable. As I mentioned, I wasn't really looking forward to my appointment after my experience at a different shop, but Krissy completely turned my mood around. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful! She was cheerful, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I really cannot speak highly enough of Krissy!
At the beginning of my appointment, Krissy looked through my Pinterest board with me and asked about my budget. I appreciated that she was so respectful of my budget; she only pulled dresses that were within my price range. Krissy really understood what I was looking for just from the pictures I showed her. As I tried on each dress, she took my feedback and applied it in the next dress she’d show me. I was really impressed by her!
At the end of my appointment I felt that I had found the dress I loved, but I wanted to sleep on it. Krissy was absolutely understanding of that and never pressured me to make a decision on the spot. I really appreciated that! The next morning I e-mailed Krissy to let her know I'd definitely found my perfect dress. She responded quickly and answered a few last questions I had. Now I can’t wait to wear my dress on my wedding day!
I would highly recommend The Plumed Serpent! I had a great experience thanks to Krissy!

Truly amazing!
I cannot say enough good things about Plumed Serpent! They created the exact dress shopping experience I always imagined (well except having to wear a mask because of Covid) but they still managed to make the challenges of wedding planning during a pandemic pleasant. I worked closely with Krissy, who is so sweet, and was truly excited and shared in the joy of the moment I found my dress. I went in when a specific designer in mind and after trying on several dresses, she could tell they just were not the one and I was getting disappointed. She came back with a dress (that ended up being the one). She knew what I was feeling and what I was looking for, without really even having to tell her. During that appointment I was talking about my niece and flower girl dresses. She let us come back the next day to try my dress on again and so my niece (3 years old) could try some on. She made the appointment so magical for my niece Zoe, it made her day and she still talks about “her wedding dress”. I am so happy to be a Plumed Serpent bride!

Fairytale Experience!!
My bestfriend and I went to the store and it was the best possible experience I could have imagined. We worked with Betsie and she was great, not pushy at all, listened about what I did and didn’t like and really stayed in price point. Everything was a dream come true and I said yes to the dress!!!

Perfect Experience at the Plumed Serpent
I recently “said yes to the dress” at the Plumed Serpent in Westport, CT and I couldn’t have been happier that I picked this lovely boutique. From the get go, everyone I spoke to was fantastic to work with. Coming from out of state, I had to make a few adjustments to day/time of my appointment and the Plumed Serpent was able to accommodate them effortlessly. The boutique itself is beautiful- light, bright, and airy (great for photos!). My consultant, Betsy, was an absolute dream to work with. I had a specific designer in mind that I was heavily leaning towards (and ending up choosing), but I can confidently say that every dress Betsy picked for me (even the “wild card”) was absolutely stunning and fit my style. I really cannot emphasize how helpful and knowledgeable she was while I was picking out my accessories and asking her questions. Betsy truly helped make my shopping experience fun and unforgettable. If you have the opportunity, do not hesitate to go to the Plumed Serpent- from my experience they are truly the best.

Don’t look anywhere else!
I had gone to about 7 different wedding dress stores, including Kleinfeld’s. I was so frustrated that I couldn’t find anything I absolutely loved... I honestly had several moments of panic where I thought I would never find my dream wedding dress!! BUT, then I walked into the Plumed Serpent. I described exactly what I was looking for, and GUESS WHAT?!? The first dress they brought out to me to try on was THE ONE! I couldn’t believe it! Every stylist listened to me, helped me find the most amazing accessories for my gown, and made my dream wedding dress come true. I tell every one of my friends getting married to come here. They are professional and easy to work with. The alterations were also phenomenal and so easy to do right in the showroom. The showroom is also spectacularly stunning! If you come here, you WILL find your wedding dress!

Best wedding dress team EVER!!!
I do not have time to list out all the amazing things about Krissy, Lissa and the entire team at the Plumed Serpent. I feel so lucky to have found this special group of women. As soon as I walked into their store, I felt so welcomed and supported. I knew as soon as I started trying dresses on with Krissy, that I would end up buying a dress here just to continue to work together. She pulled out a dress that I did not even know I would like and it was my ultimate dream dress. We were so impressed by the warmth and love of their staff, that my Mom ended up purchasing her MOB dress there as well. We went in for countless fittings (seriously Lissa is a saint), and they gave us champagne and supported us through each one. They are PHENOMENAL & do not hesitate and go there today!

Best Wedding Dress Shop Ever!
Plumed Serpent is the way to go! Krissy and Allison were beyond helpful. I came with a look in mind and a budget and they knew exactly what types of dresses to pull for me. I tried on 7 and ended up picking the last one. It was the dress of my dreams! Cannot thank them enough for their help! Also, their seamstress was phenomenal, I met with her on three separate occasions. She went over the top to make sure every little bead was perfect, the lace was all lined up at the bottom. Lots of intricate work and she was extremely detailed oriented. Overall, cannot say enough about this place!

Every little girl dreams of looking perfect on their wedding day. And every groom anticipates seeing their bride for the first time. My dress, and Husband’s reaction to seeing it after months of painful anticipation, were exactly what we both hoped for. I received tons of compliments throughout the entire day, and the process leading up to the wedding reaffirmed every step of the way the decision I made to use them was validated many times over.

Amazing Experience!
I had an amazing experience from start to finish at the Plumed Serpent. Krissy was amazing to work with while selecting my dress and Lisa was so incredibly helpful through all of my alternations. Also, after purchasing my dress I had the opportunity to attend an accessory trunk show where I found my accessories for my wedding day while wearing my wedding dress. It was amazing! I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day in my dress and would highly recommend this bridal salon for all of your wedding dress needs!

Nothing short of amazing!
I recently went to Plumed Serpent during their sample sale. This was my first time trying in dresses. I had no idea what I wanted or liked, besides that I love lace and sparkle. To start, the store is gorgeous! I was very excited to start my appointment, but I didn't want to get too excited incase there was a chance I didn't find my dress right away. I had the pleasure of working with Yvette who pulled all sorts of dresses for me try on to get to know what I liked and didn't like. As she got to learn what styles I was interested in I started to fall more in love with each dress I tried on. She was always honest with me and never made me feel uncomfortable. She was very personable and knowledgeable as well! She always asked what I liked or didn't like about a dress I had on at the moment. Just when I thought the search was over for night, she said she had a dress in mind that she thought I would like a lot... low and behold, I fell in love. She pulled out all the stops and put a veil on, jewelry and I said yes to the dress! I knew I was limited with my budget but I was able to find a dress I feel amazing in and in my budget. She took all the pictures I could've ever asked for as well. My experience was definitely a 10 out of 10 and I couldn't ask for anything more. I highly suggest checking out Plumed Serpent!!

Wish I went here first!
Krissy and the Plumed Serpent Bridal are the best!
I live in Manhattan and went to all the go-to's before my parents' neighbor in CT recommended Plumed Serpent. I would have saved a ton of time coming here first.
My Mom and I went to Plumed Serpent on a Saturday morning and had an appointment with Krissy. We told her what we were looking for and tried on a number of different styles. She didn't make me feel rushed or pressured at all as I did at some appointments in the city. Also, the store layout makes you feel very private. Krissy pulled out an Anne Barge gown that we'd never seen before. Once I put it on we knew we had found the one! We all cried a little and then breathed a huge sigh of relief.
The ordering process was super easy and the dress arrived ahead of schedule.
Do yourself a favor and book an appointment at Plumed Serpent asap!

One of a kind
I'm a bride that had gone to 4 places around the area and hadn't found "the one" so when I had my appointment here, I was nervous this would be just another appointment, and i was SO wrong! From the moment my mom and I walked in, the front desk representative was offering us water or champagne. There is plenty of seating throughout the store, plenty of privacy for different groups and filled with dresses, more than I've seen elsewhere. Yvette was my representative and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to help me through this experience. She was nothing short of amazing, patient, funny, warm, and a visionary! She let me pick out dresses I thought i'd be interested in but also was open about choosing some of her own for me to try....and the one I landed with, was one of the ones she picked! One of the things that stood out to me the most is they don't rush you. They take their time with you and it's all about YOU. I am beyond grateful that I had made my way here - otherwise I would still be searching when the dress of my dreams with right under my nose in my home town.

Exactly what I had hoped for and dreamed of at a wedding gown salon!
I had such a great experience at the Plumed Serpent this past weekend! Inside the salon is absolutely beautiful; exactly what I envisioned a bridal salon to look liked: bright white and lined with dresses! They offered us each a glass of champagne, which was minor but very much appreciated! I brought 4 guests with me and we had our own section of the salon; it was personal and intimate. My consultant Allison (who is also the owner) was incredible! She had to fill in for my original consultant who had to go home because of a stomach bug. She came in on her day off and made sure my experience was nothing short of perfect! She got to know me, asked questions about my wedding, and made me feel like her absolute main priority. The staff was very accommodating. They have a great selection of dresses, designers, and accessories. I found my dress and purchased it that day! I can’t wait to go back for accessories and fittings!

Fantastic experience at The Plumed Serpent
I just bought my wedding dress at The Plumed Serpent Bridal and could not have wished for a better experience. I was immediately struck by the beauty of the salon and all of the fabulous dresses. The owner Alison has a great eye and such enthusiasm for her work, and Krissy was fantastic as my consultant. I went in with a vague idea of what I liked, and Krissy nailed it. She was fantastic at showing me many different options within my price range, but ultimately the first dress I tried on was the one. I cannot wait to go in for fittings in a few months with their experienced seamstresses. Overall, fantastic experience! Definitely check out The Plumed Serpent and ask for Krissy :)

I absolutely love the staff of Plumed Serpent! Every time we walked into the store we were greeted and made to feel like we are the only ones there. My experience at The Plumed Serpent was an absolute dream! I was there with my mom and sister in March and all of us still can't stop talking about how amazing it was!
Yvette was the most wonderful consultant! She was attentive to both me and my family and chose stunning dresses for me to try on. She knew exactly what would look great and presented lots of options for how I could wear the dresses. Plus her positive energy made the day so much fun for my whole group! :) I ended up going with the second dress I tried on, it was perfect! I also bought a gorgeous lace shrug and matching veil to complete the look.
Thank you to the team at Plumed Serpent, especially Yvette and Alison for making my bridal gown dreams come true!! My family and I will always remember our experience here!

I got married on October 7, 2017 and I bought my dress, jewelry and veil from Plumed Serpent! I am SO glad we came to this amazing salon and I have to say that the experience was absolutely phenomenal! My consultant, Julie, was so kind and completely dedicate the full two hour appointment to making both my mom and me feel comfortable and not rushed. I bought the first dress I tried on and it was perfect for me!! Julie made sure to have my try other styles to confirm and it was the most fun, stress free experience. This is the experience I’ve always dreamed of having as a bride and Plumed Serpent really values their customers. They have the most beautiful gowns and my veil and jewelry made me feel so special. My seamstress, Lissa, was incredibly talented and such a wonderful person. Each fitting was fun and I knew my dress was going to fit like a glove. Everyone was very professional and easy to manage appointments etc. They offer in-store seamstress (I initially thought was a little pricy, but worth every penny). My experience with The Plumed Serpent Bridal was pure perfection! Since the very first day I walked in for my appointment. Of course, in the beginning, I was a bit worried on how it would go - would the consultant helping me be nice, would I like any of the dresses I tried on, would they have the style that I love, etc. Let's just say that I had no reason to be nervous or worried because right when I walked in I knew I was in good hands. The staff that greeted me was very inviting and professional. Once I met with my consultant - Julie - I knew I came to the right place. She offered me a glass of champagne and she started learning more about my vision for my wedding dress. She was on the same page as me. Once I answered all her questions, she told me that she had the perfect dress for me. We also picked out a few other ones for me to try on. Let me just say that she was spot on. All of the dresses were beautiful but the original dress she picked was out of this world! Julie made me feel as if we knew each other before hand & didn't just meet the day of my 1st appointment. With her amazing help I ended up saying YES to the dress!
Throughout the whole process I was able to rely on Plumed Serpent Bridal. Whenever I wanted to come in to try on the sample dress with my makeup & hair trial, they always accommodated my requests. My experience at The Plumed Serpent Bridal was truly stress free. The ladies that work there took real good care of me, my family & friends each time we came into their bridal salon.
I'm so happy that I decided to call and schedule an appointment at Plumed Serpent Bridal - it was the best decision ever! I thank you so much for listening to me & then delivering, my consultant Julie & the rest of the staff were amazing! I had a wonderful experience working with the Plumed Serpent. All of the women at the salon were incredibly kind and helpful. All of the dresses they pulled matched the style and vision I wanted, and the dress we found was beautiful and perfect for me. I also found the dress within an hour, which suited me very well since I did not want to be going to tons of different salons and trying on dozens of dresses. They had a really nice selection of quality dress. The ladies helped me pick excellent accessories too, so I was able to create a unique look for the big day. Additionally, the seamstress who tailored my dress was an absolute dream. She was so talented and she made sure the dress fit me perfectly. She was also really patient and showed us exactly how to bustle the dress. I honestly could not have asked for a better dress buying experience!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with The Plumed Serpent! It was my first dress appointment, and Hayley made me feel so at ease- she was very personable and welcoming to the family I brought with me, knowledgeable about all of the dresses and committed to finding me the perfect one! Without giving her much to go on, she pulled dress after dress that looked great.
I tried on about 12 dresses or so and thought I found the one, but had another appointment for later that day so I was hesitant to buy without comparing the dress with some other designers I was interested in. I did feel a little pressured to make a decision at that point - but once the team saw I was nervous to buy at my first appointment, they helped me make an appointment later in the day just in case I wanted to come back for the dress, which was great.
The second shop demonstrated to me how completely superior the experience is at The Plumed Serpent. The Plumed Serpent made me feel like I was the only bride in the shop, was attentive and took their time finding dresses and clipping me into them properly so I could get the best idea of how they would look. The samples were also in pristine condition compared to what I experienced elsewhere.
I ended up going back and buying the dress, and I'm so happy! It really is perfect, and I appreciated having the opportunity to go back later in the day in order to feel confident in my decision. This shop is a must for any bride looking for her dream dress.

Oh my goodness - I just loved my experience at the Plumed Serpent! I went in over the weekend after months of research online and found Modern Trousseau, a local designer that I loved. When I saw that the designer was having a trunk show at the Plumed Serpent, I was so thrilled and called for an appointment right away. I was a little nervous walking into the store, but Katie (my consultant) put me right at ease. She is so easy to work with, and listened to everything I was looking for. My appointment was extra special because Callie Tein, the Modern Trousseau designer, was in the store that day for the trunk show so she stayed with us the whole appointment. I only tried on 8 dresses, and Katie was so good at narrowing down what I was looking for. I was so nervous that I was going to be horribly indecisive, but it was such a stress-free and wonderful experience. Katie is absolutely amazing at what she does. There are only two appointments going on at one time, so you get a truly personalized experience. If you are in the area, I highly recommend the Plumed Serpent. You will not be disappointed!

I cannot say enough good things about this bridal shop! I had a good idea of the dress I wanted, but was having a very hard time finding one that matched my vision. This shop was recommended by a friend who had purchased her dress there years ago, and making an appointment with them was one of the best decisions that I could have made. I emailed my thoughts on the style I was looking for, and when I arrived, Julie had pulled about 6 dresses that all matched my description. After trying on a few of them, I asked if it was possible to make a modification to one of the dresses so that it would fit the look that I was searching for. She confirmed that it would be possible, and that completely made my day. I went back to the first dress that I had tried on, and now knowing that we could make this small change, I knew this was the one. I purchased my dream dress that day, and then had to wait, somewhat impatiently, for it to be complete. I had come to the initial appointment by myself, as I was tired of dragging around my family and friends to bridal shops only to be disappointed. It was ironic that I found the dress that day, but I still celebrated with a glass of champagne while we finished the paperwork. When my family came with me for my first fitting, I held my breath, hoping that the dress turned out how I had envisioned it, and was relieved that it was so beautiful. Joy did a phenomenal job with the alterations, and I really found myself looking forward to all the Thursday afternoons I spend at the shop, watching the dress begin to fit. Thank you both for turning the most stressful part of my process into the most effortless. I would recommend you a thousand times over!

Alison and her staff have that magic touch that makes wedding planning such a joy. I went on a "practice run" with my Mom before shopping in the city, and my dream dress was the fourth I tried on. Alison's clear expertise--and her genuine warmth--immediately put me at ease, and I feel in such good hands as a Plumed Serpent bride.

The Plumed Serpent Bridal came recommended by a co-worker. Boy was i so happy she recommended them. The best experience of my life. Granted this happens once and this was the greatest way to spend this experience. I felt like I was the only one shopping at the store. It was like they were opened only for me.
Allison and her staff were like therapist they let me vent and cry with out judgement. They kept me informed about everything that was happening with my dress. They also kept me informed about accessory trunk shows.
This was the best Wedding dress experience from the first time I called.

I knew I wanted to get my wedding dress @ the Plumed Serpent because my sister got her wedding dress there and had such an amazing experience. It was so easy to work with Allison and the rest of the team, everything was handled so professionally. There is a great selection of dresses and knew it would be easy to find the perfect one, I found my wedding dress the first time I went there and it was one of the first dresses I tried on. They went above and beyond and helped me with almost every aspect of my wedding - never did they get annoyed with me and my crazy mom. (she asks a lot of questions) I would recommend the Plumed Serpent to everyone I know- I also ordered my bridesmaid dresses from the store and there was not one complaint, everyone looked amazing!

Working with Allison at the Plumed Serpent was a fantastic experience. The store itself is gorgeous and has an amazing selection of dresses. Allison is extremely talented and knowledgeable. I walked into the store thinking I wanted a particular kind of dress, but Allison opened my eyes to the fact that I actually wanted something completely different! She does it in such a subtle way that you think you came up with it on your own! After I found my dress, she picked out the perfect veil and accessories. It was like she was reading my mind. Allison is so personable and fun to be around and she made the entire experience so special for me. I ended up coming back with my bridesmaid to get their dresses there as well. Allison helped me to really feel like a beautiful bride on my wedding day, and what more can you ask for than that! I would recommend the Plumed Serpent to anyone!

I visited The Plumed Serpent after an unsuccessful and stressful shopping day for my wedding gown in NYC. They had an amazing selection and after Alison talked to me for few minutes, she had a clear understanding of what I am looking for. She spent close to 2 hours and helped me choose between the 2 dresses that I liked. I purchased my dress and it was a fun, successful day. I also purchased my hair pins, my gorgeous sash and veil after attending their accessories trunk show. They let you try on your sample dress and match the accessories. My dress and the accessories were stunning and everyone at the wedding was complimenting my dress and was talking about it for few months. The staff was so wonderful and responsive. I also sent my friend to them right after I purchased my dress, she came from NYC and she purchased her dress from them as well. Alison is great, professional and helpful. I have worked with Amy and everyone at The Plumed Serpent for the past year, they are complete angels. I was diagnosed with cancer a few months before the wedding, and knew I would lose my hair completely. They all worked over the moon to create the most gorgeous lace headpiece that would match my dress perfectly. I have never felt so beautiful in my life and these women did everything they could to make sure I was the happiest bride ever. I visited 3 other bridal shops before going over to The Plumed Serpent. I thought they had a great selection, Lisa (who assisted me) got a clear understanding of what I was looking for right away, and ultimately I purchased my dress there. The staff was so wonderful along the way, keeping me informed about fittings, deliveries, etc. I also purchased hair pins, and a necklace to wear during their Deborah Moreland trunk show. I asked Cathy, the seamstress, if she would stitch a heart made from my dad's shirt, and she happily obliged. It was such a wonderful way to remember him by, and to have it done professionally instead of me trying made such a big difference!

I could not have asked for a better dress shopping experience. I planned to get my dress from Kleinfelds, but figured I would go to a few smaller salons just to see what was out there. Plumed Serpent was the first salon I went to and they blew me away. Everything was so civilized and elegent. I was the only bride in the salon and I walked around pointing at every dress that I wanted to try one while my bridal attendant put them in my dressing room. I ended up trying on 12 dresses and picked the first one I tried on. They give you champagne to celebrate and take pictures for you. Additionally, the seamstresses are EXCEPTIONAL. My dress fit like a glove before we even made alterations (due to a lot of experience), but the seamstress turned my dress from beautiful into PERFECTION. I didn't love the sweetheart neckline so they actually changed it for me. I also added a monogram (as my something blue) in the underside of the dress. Overall, amazing experience.

The Plumed Serpent was the most amazing place to buy a wedding dress!! From the moment I first walked into the store until the day that I picked up my gown, everyone I met listened to what I wanted, what I liked, what I didn't like, and they were never ever pushy. The were honest and I appreciated that most of all. Everyone, especially the owner, Alison Fischer, made me feel like the most beautiful important bride she had ever had.
After hearing wedding dress war stories from many of my girlfriends, I was hesitant to go shopping for a dress at a full service bridal salon. Going to the Plumed Serpent was the best decision I made. Shopping for my dress ended up being a fun experience with lots of laughs, bringing tears all to my best friend, my sister and my mother's eyes. Alison, was so accommodating to my overly tight schedule and made magic happen in getting me my dream dress in time for my wedding.
The seamstress at Plumed Serpent did a fantastic job in hemming my dress to fit perfectly for my petite 5'2 frame. I was a little concerned that the strapless all lace dress might be a bit heavy as the night wore on but the fit was perfect and I didn't have to think about anything except having a blast dancing the night away.
The store itself is lovely, with high ceilings and gorgeous dresses everywhere! From the service to the dress selections I had the best experience ever! I credit the Plumed Serpent with making me look like a princess on the day I've dreamed about since I was a little girl!!

The Plumed Serpent was one of the best parts of the whole wedding planning experience. From finding my dress on my first day looking, I was hooked, and shopped exclusively at the Plumed Serpent for bridesmaid dresses and my accessories, as well as accessories for my bridesmaids and mom (they carry Debra Moreland Paris)! The consultants really have an eye for what dress type works best on you, and they made the whole experience so much fun. The seamstresses also should be mentioned, as they had my dress and my maid of honors dress fit so well, we never wanted to take them off. I only wish there was another family wedding in the near future to have a reason to shop at the Plumed Serpent again!

My experiences at The Plumed Serpent were beyond wonderful. It was a long process selecting a gown for me, but working along side Alison (the owner) through the entire process was awesome! The entire atmosphere of the salon is beautiful. Everything from the salon decor to the designer gown selection, and customer service couldn't be better! I would highly recommened attending their Paris Trunk shows as well if you purchase your gown here. This was a chance to be styled by Debra Moreland of Paris and to really see your wedding day style come together. My accessories by Debra were the finishing touches!
My Bridesmaid dresses were also from here by Amsale. All the girls were beautiful in them and everyone has complimented on how gorgeous the entire bridal party looked in their dresses. I couldn't be happier with the decision.
I hope anyone else that goes here will enjoy the experience as much as I did, I truly did love it! Many Thanks to The Plumed Serpent for everything!

I absolutely love the laides of the Plumed Serpent!! They were extremely knowledgeable, stylish, helpful, flexible, professional and FUN! Not only did I purchase my entire wedding day ensemble - from the perfect foundation wear for my dress to my jewelry and accessories - but the seamstresses created from scratch the most perfect and gorgeous bolero jacket out of my dress's fabric so that I could have my shoulders covered in Church and for a November wedding. The custom-made bolero fit me just perfectly, and my dress also fit like it was made for me as the head seamstress was not ready to let me wear my dress until everything about it was taliored to me. I always looked forward to seeing the ladies at the store, and I felt 110% comfortable from the first time I walked through the door. They were the first dress shop I went to, and it turned out they were the last one, too!

I was a bride living in Colorado, getting married in upstate New York & bought my dress at the Plumed Serpent near my hometown in Fairfield County, CT.
The shopping experience was very low key, and lovely. Lisa and I chatted about what I was looking for and after trying on only 8 dresses we had the perfect fit for my personality, the wedding venue & the feel of our marriage. It was a memorable moment for my mom, my sister & I.
The entire staff was incredibly flexible, given the VERY short amount of time I was able to come home for fittings. My final fitting was on a Tuesday before the Saturday wedding. My best friend's mother picked up the dress on Friday, since I was already in upstate New York, and it was everything I imagined it to be and more.
This is a very intimate shopping experience for your most special day. I never felt overwhelmed or pressured to buy anything I didn't want to.

Buying my dress at the Plumed Serpent was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. This was my first time ever trying on a wedding dress, and I ended up buying the 2nd dress I tried on, which was exactly what I was looking for. I also found my veil, earrings and jeweled belt there, all of which were absolutely gorgeous. The ambiance and ample space in the salon made me feel relaxed and comfortable, and all of the dresses were stunning. Looking back I wish I had made a second appointment just to prolong the experience! The staff was friendly and super helpful (thanks Lisa!) and always responded to my emails. The seamstress who worked on my dress also did an amazing job (Cathy I believe). Oh and they're also open on Sundays (except for during the Summer) which is very helpful. My mom and I still talk about how much fun we had at the Plumed Serpent. Now I just wish I can get a job there! ha :o)

My dress from The Plumed Serpent was absolutely fabulous. I had been to a bunch of big NYC boutiques - Saks, Amsale, etc. and loved the personalized service and convenience of PS. Not having to hop a train for every fitting was only one of the huge perks. They had a beautiful selection of dresses and I fell absolutely in love with the Rivini Angel. All the girls were fabulous to work with, and Allison was always there to give honest and helpful advice. She's a huge sweetheart and makes you feel like her most special bride even when you know she has tons of brides she's working with. They are incredibly flexible on scheduling fittings and dress visits. They let me bring my family to see the dress, then come back with possible shoe selections, all before my first fitting. My seemstress was amazing When the dress first came in I thought it would never fit properly through the chest and I just couldn't quite describe what didn't feel right. The next time I came back in it was perfect! Somehow she understood my babbling and made it just right. I was so thrilled. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dress in the CT area. I've sent two friends there and they have both been equally as happy!

I purchased the Rivini Lismora Gown for my July nuptials at the Plumed Serpent. It was actually the first one I tried on - but because I am so indecisive and wanted to make sure it was "the one" I had to go to just about every boutique known to man in the Greater NYC area. I tried on about 40 dresses. What I loved most about the Plumed Serpent is that they only carry the best designers so if you are a champagne taste kind of girl, you will appreciate the quality of these gowns. I also went to the cheapy places trying to convince myself that I didn't need to spend $6000 on a dress - but there is just a difference between high fashion/ high quality and your every day cheap looking bright white dress. I opted for the high quality. The dress did not disappoint it was one of the main topics of the wedding. You really develop a relationship with the ladies at The Plumed Serpent over the course of the year that you are working with them. I ended up moving to NYC from CT and would come in by train to do my fittings and if the staff was able to they would pick me up and drop me off at the train station. If I called they knew who I was and what dress I ordered. I also ordered all of my bridesmaids dresses there by Amsale. Hands down the most beautiful gowns in the most gorgeous blue color. Again not your typical cheap bridesmaid gowns but elegant "wear them to another event" gowns. I didn't want my girls to look like "bridesmaids" I wanted them to look like stunning goddesses and I know I achieved that. If you want personalized private attention go to the Plumed Serpent - Love them!

Forget Say Yes to the Dress, Allison and her staff at the Plumed Serpent will make you feel like Royalty! Everything about my experience, from trying on, to fittings and final pickup was wonderful. I LOVED my dress, and got so many compliments on how beautiful and perfect it was for me! Allison was a dream to work with, she saw I was a little anxious and was able to calm me nerves and helped me find the right dress, among a sea of beautiful gowns to choose from. I drove halfway across the state for this store, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat for their level of service and selection. There's nothing like standing in your wedding gown, on a stage in front of huge mirrors, drinking champagne and feeling like a princess! This is THE store to buy your dress at!

We found my beautiful Monique L'Huillier gown from here and it was an amazing experience. They are so patient and accommodating, the whole process was stress free. I live in D.C. and so coming up for fittings was difficult but they were very flexible and worked around my schedule perfectly. I loved trying gowns on the first day we went in. They have all of the top designers and everyone was so knowledgeable and extremely helpful in picking out the perfect gown for me...and then showing us how to put it on. We had several lessons in sash-tying :) Everything was great, and the seamstress Lissa is the BEST in town!

Alison and Susie are the best! They have the most beautiful gowns in the area- ranging from traditional to fashion forward. When I first went into the shop I had a specific dress in mind- and even though we did not have an appointment- Alison stayed LATE to accommodate us. (I say US because I went there with one of my friends who was also getting married. She too bought her dress from them and loved them just as much as I did). That evening I decided that no matter what dress I decided on- I would have to purchase it through the Plumed Serpent! Not only did I end buying a Romona Keveza dress from them- I later attended an accessory trunk show and had my entire look tied up from head to toe. Every time I walked into that shop I felt welcomed and like I was dealing with friends rather than a business. I would recommend the Plumed Serpent to anyone and can't wait for my friends to get married so I can go back and buy their dress with them!!!

I purchased my wedding dress at the Plumed Serpent and had a wonderful experience. Living in Brooklyn, I went to several bridal salons in NYC, but decided instead to buy my dress at the Plumed Serpent. They have a wonderful selection of beautiful dresses, yet the collection is edited and not overwhelming. The staff are all extremely pleasant to work with and genuinely seem excited about each bride's dress and details. I never felt any pressure from the sales team (unlike some other bridal stores I've been to). I especially liked the styling event they had with Paris Accessories (jewelry, veils, etc.). The alterations made on my dress were impeccable. However, alteration appointments can only be made on Wednesday and Thursdays (my only complaint since coming from the city after work on a weekday was sometimes difficult).
Overall, a wonderful experience.

The Plumed Serpent's consultants & dresses are amazing! My appointment began with a warm greeting and complimentary mimosas! The salon was just recently remodeled and the viewing "stages" are beautiful. My party relaxed while my consultant assisted me in finding the perfect dress. I knew that usually you are supposed to order a wedding gown a minimum of 9 months before your date. However, they made certain that my dress came in on time. The dresses are reasonably priced and like most salons, the alterations are not included. The staff kept me informed and on schedule every step of the way! I work long hours and even with my crazy schedule, The Plumed Serpent accomodated me. On one of my visits, the girls even stayed past close, because I couldn't make it during normal hours, just to make certain I my dress
was altered on time. My dress was beyond beautiful!!!!

I found my gown here last week and could not have been happier with the experience! This was the 6th bridal shop I had been to and while I'd tried on dresses I liked other places, I hadn't had the "this is the one" feeling and was starting to worry I wouldn't.
Abby changed that! She was incredible to work with from start to finish. She asked me about what styles I'd tried on before, asked to look at pictures of the ones I had liked, and asked about styles I hadn't tried but was curious about. And then she pulled the most amazing selection of dresses that felt the most "me" of any I had tried on. And thankfully, she did not seem at all phased by my history of dress indecision or my somewhat limited budget.
I never felt pushed or rushed and every comment I had was listened to. Abby was also super knowledgable about the gowns- for example explained a designer's rationale for changing a traditional neckline, or why darts were sewed in a certain region of a dress.
Highly recommend The Plumed Serpent and working with Abby!

I had a great time dress shopping here.
I had to wait a bit (15-20 min) while the consultant was finishing up the previous appointment, but after that, everyone was so gracious and kind. Krissy, my consultant, was very interested in getting to know my style and my wedding plans, letting me try on the dresses and accessories that I wanted, and really caught on quickly to what I cared about! I asked a bunch of questions and tried on my final choices a couple of times, and they didnt make me feel bad about anything. I decided to by my dress with them and am really looking forward to going back and picking up my dress!
They're in a great location - beautiful store front with convenient access to parking! Everything about the visit was easy and non-stressful, which is very appreciated!

I absolutely adore the ladies at The Plumed Serpent. When I first got engaged and wanted to start looking at dresses, I figured that the designers they carried were out of my price range. I decided to go try on dresses there anyway so I could get a feeling for what style I liked best. The day of my appointment they were having a trunk show so there was a good discount on a specific designer. They never pressured me to try on certain styles or designers and listened to my feedback with each dress I tried on. They were friendly and accommodating with the family members I brought with me and offered us glasses of champagne. I ended up falling in love with a dress that I would never have originally thought I would pick and it was an affordable option. The excellent service continued through all of my fittings and the day I picked up my dress I could feel they were genuinely excited for me as they helped me to my car. If you live in Fairfield County, go to The Plumed Serpent! Their trunk shows and sample sales make it an affordable option for anyone! Patiently waiting for my wedding photos so I can send some shots to them!

All of the girls were great to work with - tried to stick with one girl but got a different girl helping us everything - not ideal but it was ok and they were great. A little disappointed about the fit with the undergarment (which i bought from them) - it wasn't altered low enough and showed out of the back of my dress the day of - therefore, I had to go without the undergarment (kind of a waste of money at that point). Overall, my experience was great, LOVED my dress - I would recommend them to others

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Plumed Serpent. I was greeted warmly and Lisa put me in all flattering dresses. I found my dress in one go. I went back for fitting a couple of different times and they were able to accommodate me every time. The trunk shows are great! I worked directly with the accessories designer, Sara Gabriel, which was such a cool experience. I felt like a princess on my wedding day and everyone loved my super-duper custom gown. It was a Monique Lhuillier two piece and I had their tailors make me removable sleeves. It was ABSOLUTELY perfect.

This is a stunning bridal salon with an amazing selection of dresses. This was the first stop in my 4 appointments (the rest in NYC including Kleinfelds) and all I can say is the rest were quickly cancelled. I bought the Rivini Thirteen gown - 13 tiers of lace in all different patterns with a subtle but stunning belt and button from top to bottom. The dress was unique, antique-y and beachy which was perfect for my wedding on the water at Yacht Club.
Alison was my sales person and I found her to be warm, lovely, friendly, and honest. When something didn't work she would be the first to say so but when something did (THE dress) she was supportive and provided all the necessary accessories to try on with it to get the whole experience. Kathy did my alerations and was very helpful.
The only thing I would say is these dresses are not cheap. If you have a price point you need to stick to, that should be the first sentence out of your mouth. We never discussed price initially and the dress I chose was more expensive than our initial budget for it. However, it REALLY was the perfect dress and I think it was worth every penny. Alterations at the salon were a flat $500 but it includes every fitting (I had 3) and tweak needed until you pick up your dress. If someone refers you, I believe you get a discount although I am not sure - my husband's aunt who got married a year before me came to my first appointment and because she got her dress there I got a small discount.

I purchased my dress and accessories from the Plumed Serpent. Having shopped at many boutiques, the PS was the only store where I really felt like the star of the show. No rushing or pressuring. I probably tried on almost every dress in the store! Alison, the owner, was the person I worked with and she is wonderful. My bridesmaid dresses were also from the Plumed Serpent, and everything was perfect there as well.
As a PS bride, I had the opportunity to attend a trunk show with designer Debra Moreland for my accessories. It was an amazing, one-on-one experience where I really felt like my wedding day look was being "designed." I looked and felt very glamorous on my wedding day.
As far as alterations, they are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. My seamstress, Lissa, made my dress fit my body to a T.
All in all, if you are looking to be a pampered bride, go to the Plumed Serpent.

The Plumed Serpent offered the Monique Lhuilier dresses that I wanted to try on that were hard to find in other stores. The staff was so nice and attentive. Before visiting the Plumed Serpent I had been to two other shops and just did not feel the "wow" factor for any of the dresses I had tried on. I went to the shop on a busy Saturday and had the most relaxing and enjoyable experience with my mom complete with a glass of Champagne. The sales girls work as a team and help eachother to give input and suggestions to help you find what you are looking for. I would absolutely recommend going to the Plumed Serpent, their selection of gowns really promises something for everyone.

I loved, loved, loved my dress! The experience at the Plumed Serpent was good. I really enjoyed working with the girls there, especially since I wasn't always able to bring a friend for consultation. They are true experts in fitting for each bride's shape. The price, well...it's not super expensive and not cheap. It's a wedding dress, after all, so be prepared to spend what that would cost you. To me, it was a bit more than what I wanted to pay, but I was so happy with the results that at the end I have no regrets.

I had my bridal gown alterations done at The Plumed Serpent Bridal. The alterations team is incredible talented, patient and thorough. They worked and worked and reworked my dress until they couldn't work it no more! On my wedding day, my dress fit me perfectly, like a custom gown.
I did not purchase my gown from The Plumed Serpent Bridal, so the cost for alterations was higher than they typically charge for their own brides. Even so, I feel it was worth every penny. I highly recommend The Plumed Serpent for any bride looking for a wonderful experience - the team is wonderful and the salon is just stunning.

Alison, Lisa and the gals are fantastic. They exude nothing but class and do everything to make sure that your ensemble is fully taken care of. The salon itself is quaint which is right up my alley. CT has so many boutique bridal salons to offer which was much more my speed. I do not see how anyone can endure an experience like you do at Kleinfeld in NYC. This salon only has two Brides at once at any point of time, so you get the utmost service and attention and have time to focus on your experience.
I do not want to feel like I am a "sale", but I want to feel like a client that is getting help to find the perfect "match". Although, the selection is on the pricier sided, I was happy that found a Monique Lhullier dress from her Bliss line that was perfect and in my budget! Their samples on the floor are in awesome condition, so you feel like you are trying a brand new dress on. They also have a wide variety of styles for you to choose from as well as some unique designers. They also have in house seamstresses that take care of the alterations. I changed my neckline to a mild sweetheart and they did an amazing job, and the bustle was so elegant and easy to do!
They gave me 2-3 fittings once my dress arrived and with their one time alteration fee that will do unlimited alterations for you. Luckily I did not need multiple rounds... They also keep everything on site for you and will steam and press everything for you to pick up right before your wedding day. That was great for me since I was living with my fiancé and I did not want him to see the dress!
Everything came in with plenty of time to spare and my orders turned out exactly right. I could not ask for more.

The Plumed Serpent did all of our bridesmaids dresses from Amsale for my April wedding. The women working in Westport were very sweet, had great suggestions and were very responsive to my questions. The dresses came in exactly when they said they would arrive and the Plumed Serpent was very organized in getting the dresses out and accommodating to my out-of-town BMs. Would definitely recommend using the Plumed Serpent for bridesmaids dresses.

I beyond loved my gorgeous Monique Lhuiler gown that I purchased at the plumed serpent bridal. They were the only shop in the tri-state area that had my gown, so I had really no choice. While I beyond loved my gown, and Kathy, my seamstress was wonderful to work with and extremely talented, the sales women are extremely snooty and downright b*tchy. Many of the women who work there are absolutely awful, except for Allison, the owner. I wouldn't say that I had a warm and fuzzy experience there when I purchased my gown, but I would most certainly not change anything about my gown!

Plumed Serpent was my first stop when I started looking for my dress. Julie helped me and she was just so sweet! She made me try on a dress that I was going to pass on and that ended up being my dress! She gave me the utmost attention and made me feel like I was the only bride in the store that morning. I also ended up purchasing my accessories from their Paris Debra Moreland trunk show, which I loved. Both dress and accessories, were a bit more than I would have wanted to spend but I feel that you get what you pay for. I do have to say that towards the end when I was doing my final fittings and I picked up my dress, the owner Allison was there and didn't acknowledge me or wish me well on the upcoming wedding. She came from the back, walked right passed my sister and I and attended another customer who seemed to be a friend of hers without even picking up her head to say hello. To me it was like thanks for your business and money, we are onto new customers. So I was a bit bothered by that, as I had talked so highly of them to all my friends and family, even referring a friend who just purchased a dress recently. They do post on their instagram page wishing brides a happy wedding weekend and that was not done the week of my wedding. Not sure if it was an oversight, but when you are spending top dollar, you expect a little courtesy not just to be treated as "another" customer.

My wedding dress experience started out amazing at Plumed Serpent Bridal! From the moment I entered the door, I was greeted kindly and they actually took the time to sit down with me and speak with me about all of my thoughts/visions for the big day. Julie was my bridal consultant and she could not have been more amazing (seriously, she was truly amazing!) I found the dress (and veil, and bracelet, and hair accessory, and bra, and belt) of my dreams! When my dress came in I just could not wait to go in and try it on and schedule all of my fittings...needless to say, my dress (and all my accessories) looked absolutely beautiful the day of my wedding.
I will say...for all of you brides out there! If you purchase your gown at this boutique please be mindful of what you order (including your dress, but besides your dress, I mean the other accessories I mentioned, jewelry/bra, etc) and keep track of when they are scheduled to be delivered to the salon. Be mindful of when promised delivery is, and if it has been delivered to the store I would recommend just asking to try on the accessories at every fitting to make sure that everything is in the store (when it is supposed to be) and that it all fits together. Otherwise you are good to go! When you pick up your gown they package it so nicely, the gown is pressed to perfection and it is just simply beautiful.
Overall a great experience, and I am so thankful that I was able to find the gown of my dreams at this salon! Thank you Plumed Serpent!

They were nice, a little overbearing but nothing awful, and I got my dress after two trips since I didn't have much time. When I returned for my second visit, the dress that I originally wanted (and went back to the store to try on one last time and most likely buy) was no longer there, which was annoying. But I found another dress from their trunk show that I ended up with. I had a lot of the problems with the dress but those are not the fault of the salon. At that time, I asked them for recommendations for a person to alter my dress in the New Haven area WAAAAYYYY before the dress arrived (the salon is 45-min away), and they said they knew some great people in my area - which was just lip service. Months later when my dress did not seem to be arriving at all, and I called them and they were like, oops, the dress should have been here already, let's find out why it's not here. So they weren't on top of things, the dress came late, and after repeatedly asking for a tailor in my area, and their assuring me they knew people, and my waiting for their recommendation, they never gave me any suggestion, I took it to a random tailor since I had limited options b/c everything was late, and the tailor was not good. So while the salon did not ruin the dress, they contributed to my ending up at the tailor that I did. If I had known that they wouldn't have had any recommendations, I would have just gotten the alterations at their salon and endured the 45-min one-way trips. But by the time I realized they were never going to give me a name of a New Haven tailor, it was too late.

The dresses at the Plumed Serpent are on the expensive side, but beautiful. My first few visits were great. I went to find a specific dress and they were very flexible on time and quick appointments. Suzy is incredibly enthusiastic and will help you find what you want. After ordering the dress, it was a bit of a different story. My dress arrived a month later than promised and there were a few mix ups with getting the bridesmaids dresses sent to the correct person. They had not written down the correct addresses for several of my bridesmaids and although the store had their phone numbers and e-mail addresses, the Plumed Serpent called me multiple times to verify addresses instead of contacting the bridesmaids themselves. My advice is to stay on top of things as the wedding approaches and make sure that your wedding party verify their information multiple times to avoid any last minute problems.

These three stars are for the friendly staff and small atmosphere of this bridal salon. Kim, Julie, and Kathy, the seamstress, were god sends. I purchased a dress a year in advance of my wedding on trunk show. Now I will admit during the 5 month wait time for it to arrive I was a naughty bride. I saw a dress I thought I loved more and reached out about potentially changing. The owner was kind then telling me what my options were and that I should see my dress first. Very good point, so I did. (Stop looking at dresses when you find yours!) Unfortunately while my dress was beautiful, it had some inner lining issues. Line issues that were not present on the sample. A few lines were so prominent that they formed a very large V pointing toward a certain lady part that you really don't want your guests focusing on. When my mother and I brought this issue up, we were met with some solves in addition to many confusing conversations from the owner that this is what we purchased (false) & for an incremental fee we could solve our issue- (to get the dress we originally purchased). My mother took conversations from here as I lost interest in one of the more special pieces of the day. I didn't want a veil, didn't want any accessories because I couldn't very well have this arrow pointing to my lady zone so we would have to put our money towards this fix. She and the owner came to a resolution where it wouldn't cost us more money, we thought, we went to their trunk show purchased the veil and two additional accessories. Feeling good at the second fitting the dress was lined (because Kathy rocks!) &we were approached again for money to pay for the lining and work that was done. After we spent more money on the accessories. We argued again and did not end up paying anything additional. What an unnecessary amount of stress and back and forth for a couple of hundred dollars?! I'm not saying to not go here because the staff is lovely, just take pictures & be mindful of what you buy.
