Great music from a great DJ

I highly recommend Roy from The Party Music, he was absolutely amazing!! He helped us plan the music for our wedding day and it couldn’t have been more perfect. He listened to our ideas for what we wanted for our wedding day. He made some amazing recommendations for our ceremony music selections which were beautiful songs and when our reception began it just got better throughout the evening. We danced all night long and we even extended him another hour. Great music really does make the party and Roy knows his music. I’m so glad we went with Roy from The Party Music and so will you. A 5 star DJ.

The best music ever!

Roy from The Party Music was the best! He played songs we hadn't heard in years and everybody raved about how great the music was. He was so helpful with planning our music and his event outline made it easy. I would recommend Roy and The Party Music to anyone who needs a great DJ.

The best music for my wedding reception!

We are so happy Roy was part of our wedding day. Our guests had an amazing time and have been raving how much fun our wedding party was. Roy was a perfect DJ. Everything was seamless and he was so professional about the event - we completely trusted him to read the crowd and create the playlist based on our request for fun dance music (with a heavy emphasis on late 80's songs). There was no awkward start of the dance party - we started off with a bang with the first song! Roy met with us in person the Thursday before our wedding. It totally put us at ease and. My dad now compares every other wedding (band or DJ) against the incredible dance party we had at our wedding. He hasn't found any that have come close yet! I highly recommend Roy and The Party Music

Roy was awesome to work with! He was always very timely with answering any questions I had about the big day and had excellent communication which helped me relax throughout wedding planning! He made it super easy to create awesome playlists guests will love and also had great recommendations for sweet moments during the ceremony! He is an excellent DJ!

Great experience

I hired The Party Music for my wedding last year and it was the best decision me and my now husband ever made. He made the after party really come to life!!! 10/10 great job on everything!!! Awesome communication and willingness to be flexible and meet our every request!

Awesome Experience!

Me and my fiancee hired The Party Music last September for our wedding reception and after party. It couldnt have turned out better. He got back to us right away, was very flexible and receptive to requests and questions. A awesome company and person. When I plan for another big party or social event I will hire The Party Music for sure and i would recommend them to anyone!!!!

Awesome Wedding DJ!

Roy worked very closely with us before our wedding to ensure that our playlist, announcements, and party were perfect for the big day. Once the wedding kicked off, the dance floor was not empty the rest of the night! Roy did an awesome job, and we would highly recommend him to anyone

Roy was simply the best!

Roy was awesome from start to finish! He was organized, professional, and didn’t miss a beat :-) we loved his energy and everyone really enjoyed the music all night long! BRIDES TO BE...HIRE THE PARTY MUSIC for your DJ!!! We hired The Party Music for our wedding and we are so happy we made that choice! From the beginning when I first contacted Roy, we had a phone conversation and discussed pricing and what I was looking for. He was very down to earth and easy to talk to. Roy was always prompt with answering emails/calls and very professional. He made choosing music very easy by providing a sample playlist to help him to determine the style of music to play. He took the time to talk with us on the phone and listen to what we wanted and even gave a suggestion of a song to play during the processional the we absolutely LOVED! We hired The Party Music for the ceremony and the reception and Roy did a fantastic job! Everyone had a great time and he kept the dance floor full of people. The pricing was very affordable and worth every penny. Thank you Roy for making our wedding a day to remember and for being so awesome!!!

The Party Music was a great choice for our wedding day. Roy did a great job in helping us to plan the music we wanted for our reception. He played great dance music of all kinds and he kept the party going all night. We had so much fun we kept him an extra hour.

Music can make an event special and that much more memorable. Roy is on his game in every way. He can read the audience and knows when to ramp,it up,or slow it down. My son's rehearsal dinner went from being a nice event to a fun party because of Roy. I hadn't figured out the music but I knew I needed music. When I decided to go from an iPod to The Party Music, I stopped thinking and worrying and it was perfect. I didn't have to spend hours coming up with the right playlist and buying music. Roy took care of everything flawlessly. Roy also adjusted for some of my misreads on choices. This is why one hires a professional! Hire Roy aka The Party Music and he'll make your event shine.

Roy was very professional and experienced. The caterer we hired failed to do their jobs on all aspects and with Roy we were able to still have a great night of dancing. We booked our venue at the Lake House at Bulow which the ceremony was on the small pine tree island and he was able to have the ceremony music playing there without the need to transfer all his equipment over to the island (about 400 yards away)

Without Roy's services our wedding truly would of been a disaster after the caterer ( SC catering ) left my guests hungry and annoyed with the services they provided. Roy made all of that go away with the music and his ability to adjust the music to get people up, dancing, and have a great time.

Roy is very professional. We only met with one dj because we instantly wanted to book with him. He played all the music I requested for my ceremony and was very easy to contact. He replied quickly to all my calls and emails regarding my date. This was reassuring because we were having a destination wedding. He is very personable, pleasant and a sharp dresser!

Mr. Palmgren is fantastic! He handled our ceremony and reception flawlessly. All of our guests had special requests, and Roy did a fantastic job of filtering their requests while keeping the party, dancing, and the music going late into the evening. Roy was incredibly responsive. He was able to accommodate several last minute requests for me as well. We had a few special requests and he was able to fit them in without any problem. He did a great job and I would definitely use him again if I had it to do over again. He definitely took our advice on the type of music to play and was able to make a lot of suggestions and additions that fit our style. He was very professional and so nice to work with. I had Roy DJ for our office christmas party. It was a great time, and I have Roy with The Party Music to thank. These things can be kind of stuffy and boring at times. Being my first year to plan the event, I wanted to make it the best ever. We had over 100 people show up for the party and everyone had a great time. Roy kept the crowd entertained and excited the entire night. I will definately contact The party Music for our next event. Thank you Roy!

Roy was fantastic! We had a beach wedding on Folly Beach followed by a reception under a beach house. The music on the beach was amazing and he had everyone at the party dancing by the end of the night. Roy played every song requested throughout the night and we were having so much fun we had him stay an extra hour. I would highly recommend The Party Music

Roy did an unbelievable job providing music and services for our wedding. We had originally selected a different dj but were unable to get in contact with them for 3 weeks prior to the wedding. So a week before the wedding we contacted Roy and he was able to accommodate us without any extra costs. The day of the wedding he showed up on time, played a great mix while people arrived at the reception and kept the party going all night!! He is VERY professional and flexible with incorporating all the songs that you want played throughout the event.

I was so grateful to have Roy from the Party Music for my DJ at my wedding and ceremony. He did an amazing job and really set the mood and kept the party going. I wanted a song from a video game to be played when my husband and I walked down the aisle and Roy was happy to play it and edited it to make it fit perfectly. My father/daughter dance was unconventional, but Roy was happy to help with it. I wanted "The Old Lady who Swallowed a Spider" and Roy found me over 20 different versions to choose from. That song means a lot to me and my father so it was a perfect song for my father/daughter dance. If you want a professional who is also a friend, then hire The Party Music! He did a wonderful job and I recommend him to everyone I know that is engaged.

As an event planner I know how important it is for vendors to be reliable and professional. Roy was both. He confirmed with me the week before the event and the day of the event. At the party our guests had a great time. Roy listened to what music I wanted and incorporated it all. If you are looking for a DJ who will not dominate the microphone and simply play great music I highly recommend The Party Music.

Roy from the Party Music was so great! I was able to create my own play list with as much or as little music as I wanted. I had a ton of music I knew I wanted for the cocktail hour and during dinner, but only gave a few songs for the dancing (including songs not to play). Roy did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor! He was very helpful and nice each time I spoke to him and really listened to what I wanted. To me it was very important that our friends had a great time while the older crowd was able to socialize and Roy gave us that perfect balance. I would highly recommend him to any one who is looking for a dj for their wedding.

Everything was perfect! I was a huge mess the wedding day and didn't even tell him what songs to play during the ceremony until about 5 mins before it started and had absolutely no plan lined up for the reception and he was patient and we winged it and it was wonderful :)

I have to say that my wife and I were VERY happy with the service that The Party Music provided. They are very nice people, very easy to work with, and their DJ service is fantastic. I've been to a lot of venues that have used a DJ service. It seems that a lot of DJ services like to talk on the mic more than play music. The Party Music played non-stop music from start to finish. They have a very extensive list of music from which you can create your own playlist.

I would very highly recommend this company for anyone looking for great people and a great DJ service.

Roy was great. He was professional, responded quickly to concerns, even made a mashup of two songs for our first dance. We had a pretty young crowd at our destination wedding and by the end of the night everyone was dancing. In fact the fun continued on the tram ride to the hotel as the entire bus ended up having a sing-along. We accredit this to the tremendous mood everyone was in after such a great reception.

Roy was a pleasure to work with. He made he whole idea of a wedding playlist easy to follow and even easier to make feel our own. He met up with my then fiancé and I for lunch and answered any questions we had months before our big day. We for so many compliments on the music and Roy himself, and I'm so happy I was able to have him at our wedding.

Roy with The Party Music was a pleasure to work with, both prior to the wedding during the planning stages and during the wedding as well. Roy was professional, thorough, and just a really fun DJ. He always quickly responded to emails if I had questions. Every aspect of the flow of the night, song list, etc. was customized to what we wanted and we even made some very last minute changes, such as deciding not to do the bouquet/garter toss (because I forgot the garter and wanted to keep my bouquet, haha!) Roy was so nice and courteous...he even helped us spot some wedding crashers that were up to no good! I would definitely recommend Roy for an upcoming wedding you might be planning or any event where you need some great music and a great DJ.

Roy was a great DJ for our wedding reception in May 2014 on Kiawah Island. He was very accommodating of our music requests. I liked his template that clearly outlined all of the key activities for the ceremony, and we were happy with the selection of music he played. We chose a lot of different styles of music, and I was impressed with the way Roy seemlessly transitioned the different genres. I'd highly recommend him for your event!

Very professional and organized. Everything was well planned ahead of time. Only thing was that he didn't quite stick to the playlist and wasn't very responsive to other peoples song requests

This is the second time I have given my review. The first one was deleted. We will see if this one disappears as well. The only reason for giving him one star, is he put two songs together for our first dance. That really helped us out. Aside from that, I was very disappointed in his performance. Leading up to our wedding, it would take him days to answer any emails. I would ask him questions and he wouldn't answer them. He let us pick songs we wanted played, and never played them. He told us he wouldn't take requests from guests and he did. His announcements of the bridal party was awkward and frankly quite embarrassing. He had long pauses between people and seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. I, unfortunately, would not recommend him for any upcoming events.
