The Music Place did an outstanding job of DJing/MCing our wedding reception. They were extremely professional in their planning and setup. During the reception the DJ did an excellent job of keeping the party going and was very respectful of what kind of music we wanted and did not want. I would definitely recommend using the Music Place for any event that required a DJ.

The Music Place/ DJ Stickey Boots did an outstanding job on our wedding reception. The up-lighting was absolutely beautiful & the cost for the lighting was much cheaper from them than our venue offered for the same service. Blake was very professional and pleasant to work with. The entire reception ran smoothing because of him. My husband and I would highly recommend him.

My husband, Josh, and I were married on October 1, 2011. We had a great time at our wedding reception and our DJ and the music selection kept our guests on the dance floor all night! Our DJ, Jeff Vandenburg, provided the utmost attention to every detail of our event.

He took care of everything so that we didn't have to worry at all. He kept the party going and never missed a beat. We were so lucky to work with such a wonderful DJ and wouldn't have changed a thing.

I was familiar with The Music Place (TMP) through work and immediately wanted to look into using them for my wedding. From the first phone call to the final meeting to go over all the paperwork with the DJ who would be working at the reception, everyone was professional and personal. They are willing to work with your music style and actually listen to you and any suggestions you may have (afterall, it's YOUR event). I supplied a list of different songs, and they made an effort to include them. I appreciated their guidance and honesty regarding how they saw the evening's schedule unfold; from the grand entrance to the cake cutting, etc., they knew what would work, and it did. When I needed a few extra minutes to go around and greet my guests, we adjusted the schedule, and everything worked out. When I wanted a certain song played to dance with my husband, it was next up. I would highly recommend The Music Place for a wedding reception.

Blake did a awesome job as our wedding reception DJ. The night went off without a hitch, the music was a perfect mix that kept everyone dancing and having fun all night. We would highly recommend The Music Place for their professionalism, quality of service and responsiveness.

The Music Place is an excellent choice in music for a wedding or a special event. We where having a really hard time finding a D.J. and then I had gone to the Bridal Expo in South Bend. The Music place offers so many different things from lighting, to a text screen that our family and friends absolutey loved. I absolutey loved the professionalism and overall experience that Blake and the Music Place offer. They make sure to sit down with you multiple times before the big day to make sure everyone is on the same page. They make sure to make it the way the bride and groom want. To sum up my experience with them, it was the best party I have ever thrown and it won't have been half as special without the Music Place being involved.

The Music Place/Blake did an amazing job with our wedding in July. We were out of state and he took the time to skype with us multiple times to review the song selection and get to know our tastes as a couple. He helped us keep the evening on track and was very friendly in administering the wedding schedule. Most important; the music was excellent. He had a good mix of classics and modern and found the right music to keep the crowd engaged the entire time. We absolutely recommend the service.

The Music Place was very helpful to us. We had already booked a DJ, but were in need of additional lighting and a sound system for the wedding itself. The hall was charging a LOT of money to add some lighting and sound, but The Music Place was willing to help us. The prices were very reasonable and they were so helpful in coming out and setting everything up ahead of time, despite the fact that the DJ had other events that day. The lighting was beautiful, especially in the final wedding pictures. Lighting was matched to our colors very well! The sound system they used for our ceremony was perfect for everyone to hear. The Music Place really added to our day, and helped to make it one that friends have been talking about for a long time.

Blake was excellent to work with and we loved how our uplighting turned out. Everyone thought our reception was beautiful. We felt like there could have been more slow songs or a better mix of slow and fast songs, but people were mostly dancing regardless, although we did have some people leave early before our dj really got the music going. We had a good time and loved our uplighting, but thought the music mix and our requests could have been played more quickly. They did a nice job overall though.

I absolutely LOVED having The Music Place as our DJ for my wedding (1/15/11)! They did a fantastic job and catered to all of our specific requests VERY well. My family danced until the very end of the night and wanted to keep dancing after. I have 3 cousins getting married after me this year and I'm pretty sure all 3 of them are going to be looking into The Music Place because we received such good feedback from both of our families in attendance. I highly highly recommend this DJ for any event.

The Music Place is extreme professional. Blake was a true joy to work with he listened to all our wants and needs for the wedding. Blake also made sure to meet with us when it was most covenant for for us since my husband works out of town. This was very helpful since most places are not very flexible and won't work with difficult work schedules. Blake took the time to meet with us later in the evenings which was awesome! At our last meeting Blake made sure all details were exactly as we wanted them and he was never pushy or seemed in a rush to finish up with us. We had him do both the music for the ceremony and reception and everything went very smoothly and had a wonderful flow to it. All the guests loved the music and raved about how polite and professional Blake was. I would highly recommend the Music Place to anyone, it's worth the expense.

We had a great wedding reception. Our guest commented on how much fun they had at the wedding reception. Our guest loved the transition of music from dinner to dance, etc. Blake was very accommodating and made sure all went very smooth. We needed to send the bride's brother to retrieve something important for the reception and Blake informed us when to go so nothing important would be missed. We met with Blake and he was helpful but not controlling. His attitude was always positive. Our other vendors committed on how easy it was to work with Blake and how professional he was. We would highly recommend The Music Place.

We recently had the pleasure of using the Music Place and DJ Sticky Boots for our wedding reception at the Palais Royale in South Bend and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of service we received. DJ Sticky Boots was absolutely amazing and had all of our guests out on the dance floor for most of the night. The music selection was perfect and appealed to each of our guests from the ring bearers to the groom’s grandma. We hired DJ Sticky Boots for our wedding and he was worth every penny! I haven't been to a wedding with a better DJ and I am so glad he was ours!! We have a lively group of friends and family and a wide range of music tastes and he was able to make it all work the entire night.
We had oldies and classic rock during cocktail hour and wanted a mix of all different songs during dancing. He was able to play our classic rock, "hair bands," "old school" hip hop and mix in all the latest dance songs perfectly. Our guests were on their feet the enite time loving every minute of it. I loved hearing "your DJ was the best I've ever seen" and even "that was the most fun wedding I have been to in 10 years!"
It is also important to note that he was extemely professional from start to finish. My wedding was out of town and I had a hard time dealing with most vendors, waiting days for them to get back to me or forgetting what we already talked about. It was refreshing to work with DJ Sticky Boots because if I called or sent an email he would get back to me right away.
I highly recommend booking him for your wedding or any event!

Blake is very helpful with lists of songs and suggestions. He was very professional but not stuffy. We had a great time. People were dancing from the moment the music started. He kept the momentum going the entire evening. I would rehire him in an instant.
