Beautiful venue! Barn and ballroom available in case of rain! Not many venues offer that. We did the package, so most vendors were included. The vendors not included, we got them from the recommendation list the venue provided. Because of this, all vendors knew each other and have worked countless weddings together. This helped everything be stress free and easy to do! Melita is wonderful at coordinating! I didn’t have any issues before, during, or after the wedding at all! Picking this venue made everything else just fall into place. Thank you for the perfect day! -

Our wedding felt like a dream and I am so glad we chose The McGarity House! Melita is kind, efficient, easy to work with, great communicator, and extremely helpful. She answered every question I had and responded quickly to emails. She provided the most beautiful decor and made sure our day was a breeze. I couldn’t be more pleased and I’m so grateful we had our wedding here! Such a beautiful place that captured so many beautiful memories! -

Everything I imagined
Having our wedding at the McGarity House was an unforgettable experience. Melita was so kind and helpful throughout the entire experience. She always listened to my ideas and did what ever she could to help us have the day we envisioned. She promptly answered questions and shared in our excitement as our day was approaching. To me, the bride, the day went flawlessly all thanks to the Melita and vendors, staff, and the family who owns and operates the McGarity house. The day of was directed seamlessly and everyone knew where to go, what to do, and was timely. The organization helped tremendously.
We went with the vendor package and it was the best decision we could make. The house was stunning, the food was delicious, and the flowers were beautiful.
I could not recommend the McGarity House enough and know that a big part of our day being so special was because we had our wedding there. -

I cant say enough great things about The McGarity House. The perfect local, the perfect mixture of classy/chic/country/rustic. The beautiful barn and timeless Plantation house were absolutely exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. The venue is all-inclusive which was another must-have. Melita, the property manager and wedding planner is what sold us. The best of the best, she rocked it from day one. We hit it off immediately - she listened to every need/want/request and went above and beyond. Not to mention, her vendors are FREAKING AWESOME. The food was out of this world and the flowers were unforgettable. I would recommend this venue to any upcoming bride. Please at least see it and meet with Melita - she will blow you away! -

The McGarity House wasn't our first pick for a venue, but as soon as we walked up to the property, we knew it was where we would get married. The entire property is beautiful, and there are so many possibilities for couples visions. You can get married outside on the green grass under the apple trees, inside the covered barn, or inside the ballroom. Melita is the wedding coordinator and she is AMAZING. So flexible, very informative, and willing to do anything for you as a bride. We love this venue! -

Where do I start?
The McGarity House is perfect in every way!
We looked at many venues that were expensive and did not offer as much as the McGarity House. The moment we stepped on the property, we fell in love. It has everything we were looking for: a 100+ year old plantation house, an elegant barn, a spacious ballroom, bride’s suite, groom’s suite, the sweetest apple orchard ever, beautiful trees with a chandler and couch underneath them, an adorable swing in the woods. The grounds are maintained impeccably with flowers and bushes around the buildings. It’s an absolute dream! The property is stunning and looks amazing in photos, but the best part is the owner and wedding coordinator, Melita Pritchard! She is the sweetest, most laid back, and calm person you have ever met! And trust me, you need her for your wedding day!!!! She went above and beyond! She helped decorate, her family took care of collecting gifts and cards, parking, set up, and clean up! She made sure everything ran smoothly and all the guests were happy! She made sure my husband and I had everything we wanted! I truly can’t thank her enough! The McGarity House and Melita will make your wedding day the most special and magical day of your life!!!! ❤️ -

Kelly Sent on 06/28/2018The McGarity House was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding; we could not have been more pleased. The house is gorgeous, the grounds are wonderful with lots of room for guests to spread out and many many spots perfect for photo ops. This was my first time planning a wedding so starting out I was nervous about the details and plans. I felt overwhelmed with the sheer amount of things to work out and the costs. Here's what I found: Melita is a very calm person who doesn't oversell her business and is very flexible. She answers questions matter of factly and is very accommodating; I felt prepared and like I knew what we were getting and what to expect at every step. Because the home is so beautiful and decorated so elegantly with lots of original details and soft whites, we could do with it we wanted. Not only did that save us money in decorating, it provided a gorgeous backdrop for what we did do which was lots of white roses and greenery. Choosing an all inclusive package is the way to go - the caterer and florist nailed it, exactly what we wanted. We did a brunch with fried chicken and waffles with a grit bar and bacon. One of my favorite things about the day was a guest from Ohio remarking to me - "coming into this beautiful place with the smell of coffee and bacon was like coming into your home. This is the sweetest most relaxed wedding I've ever been to. "
We went into the day knowing full well with 120 guests and rain on the way glitches were certain to happen and we'd just have to be okay with it. But, that didn't happen. We had ZERO issues or problems. As the mother of the bride, I am still surprised with how relaxed I was all through out the day. The hardest part for me was actually getting the bride and all of her girls to the house that morning! -

User928928 Sent on 09/09/2012The McGarity House was absolutely the perfect site for my dream wedding. I found the venue from searching online and when my (now) husband saw it, he said it was perfect. Then, my mother and I went to tour the house and grounds and fell in love!! The house is so elegant and beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and well developed. I was actually able to walk down the aisle between two rows of blooming apple trees!!! It was a dream come true.
I had no idea how to plan a wedding and the owners of the McGarity house were so helpful and polite! Their experience and expertise helped me make the crucial decisions and they were also so accommodating for all the little details that truly made the wedding unique to my personality.
One of the most helpful things is the owner has a list of preferred vendors she has worked with in the past. That made it SO easy for me to find other vendors that I could trust! I could not be happier with the work of all the vendors we selected!
I looked at MANY venues around my area and NO ONE could beat the price for the package that the McGarity House offers! I could not believe how reasonably priced their packages were compared to other venues I had found!! This was the icing on the cake for me, as I wanted to spare my mother as much cost as possible.
Still, to this day, I have friends and family who rave about how beautiful our wedding was and how perfectly suited to us The McGarity House was. I am so thankful to have such beautiful and wonderful memories of my very special wedding day!
