Hudson Cakery true perfection!

I recently ordered my daughter's bridal shower cake an Almond cake with raspberry preserves and raspberry buttercream, cupcakes in the shapes of flowers to match her petals and Prosecco theme, and macarons from Hudson Cakery, and I can't say enough good things about the experience! Everything was absolutely delicious -- not only stunning to look at but even better to taste.
Jennifer and her team are truly remarkable. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional, attentive, and thoughtful. They clearly care deeply about every single detail, and it absolutely shows in the final product. The design was flawless, and the flavor was just as impressive.

The entire process was smooth and stress-free -- I felt confident that we were in great hands, and the end result was pure perfection.

Highly recommend Hudson Cakery for any special occasion -- they exceeded all expectations!

Exceeded Expectations!

I used Hudson Cakery for my City Hall Wedding Reception :)

The Hudson Cakery made me a delicious Naked Chocolate cake and Jennifer worked with us to add my husband's rum (he works for a liquor company) in the cake for us! It was such a nice personal touch for our day! Jennifer also helped guide me along the process to ensure my cake was decorated with fresh flowers :)

I also ordered a ton of cake pops for the evening, Jennifer and team helped me design them so they matched my dress & my husband's suit. They were a HIT and gone before I could even try one! All my guests kept asking me about the bakery I used, they were truly that impressed. Thanks so much, Hudson Cakery! Will definitely use again for any celebration I have in the future!

Delicious & Beautiful Designs!

Hudson Cakery is amazing!!! Literally the easiest part of wedding planning and the most fun! Everyone was a pleasure to work with and the prices were very reasonable after doing a lot of research at nearby bakeries. Not to mention the cake was delicious! My husband and I aren’t big dessert people so we knew we wanted to do something different and the Hudson Cakery did not disappoint! We had an assortment of beautiful cake pops on a tiered pedestal that all matched our color scheme and a grooms cake to resemble a pancake (my husbands favorite) All of our guests loved the idea so people could grab and go back to the dance floor with the pops and they seriously couldn’t have done a better job making a more realistic stack of pancakes!

Hudson Cakery's creations not only look amazing but taste absolutely delicious. I worked with Jennifer, who was a sweetheart and made the planning process so easy. I had a film-themed wedding. Hudson Cakery made me an R2D2 groomsman cake and Oscar statue sugar cookie party favors. My guests could not believe that R2D2 was a cake and edible. He might have been photographed more than me. Everyone also loved their cookie favors, for who can resist edible glitter?! I was secretly happy that a few guests forgot to take them home...more for me! Thank you again for everything. Dessert is my favorite course and you guys served it up right.

Delicious! Beautiful! (…did I mention DELICIOUS?!?) I first discovered Hudson Cakery based on recommendation & was immediately impressed with the beautiful pictures & variety of options they had to offer. From stunning, detailed cake creations to charming treats, they can craft anything to match your preference. Working with Jennifer & Caroline was an absolute pleasure & we couldn’t have been more pleased with how our wedding cupcake tower turned out. It looked gorgeous at our Chart House reception with the city skyline as a backdrop (great photos!), but more importantly was so moist & tasty. After sampling a variety of cakes, frosting & fillings at the tasting, we decided on chocolate fudge cake with coconut buttercream frosting. Excellent choice! We saved our top layer & cannot wait to unfreeze it for our first-year anniversary. Thank you Hudson Cakery for being so great to work with & for the wonderful cake!

We loved Hudson Cakery! I had actually found images of their cakes on Pintrest and then I made an appointment for a tasting. We tasted so many good cakes and fillings that we ended up ordering three different tiers! We also wanted floral designs on the cake to match the theme of my wedding and they did it perfectly. To this day we are still getting compliments on how great our cake tasted! Thank you Hudson Cakery!

Jennifer is amazing! I wish we had more events coming up just to have some of her outstanding cake. Not only was the cake visually stunning, the flavor and texture of the cake was amazing. We decided to have an almond cake with pineapple filling and orange marmalade buttercream. The combination of flavors worked so well together, we couldn’t have asked for a better cake. Jennifer and her staff were so easy to work with. We had a last minute change to the top layer of the cake, and they were able to accommodate our request. My husband recently switched to gluten free and we needed to switch the top layer. Jessica was able to make the top an almond cake with salted caramel – it was amazing. We can’t thank you enough being part of our wedding day!

My wedding was on 6/22/17. I had a cake tasting a few months back but that did not do the Hudson Cakery justice. All my guests raved about how beautiful the cupcakes were- yes I ordered 8 dozen different flavors/and designs. Cupcakes were chocolate, vanilla, almond, carrot and red velvet. My cake was a carrot cake and it was so moist and tasty. I would definitely order from them. Jennifer was great to work with and responded to all my emails in a timely fashion. This is not your regular walk in bakery. Hours vary and are mostly by appointment that way you get the attention. Highly recommended.

Hudson Cakery made a grooms cake for me in a Boston/Cape Cod/Sports theme for my husband. They worked to do a draw up for me and the vision came perfectly to life in a cake. Plus the cake was delicious! My husband was surprised and absolutely loved it.

From the second I started communicating with Jen I knew this would be our the bakery we went with! We visited 2 before coming here and just were really not impressed with much they had to offer. Jen was perfect at accommodating our wants (alternating flavors of cake & cream) and produced such a beautiful cake.

When we went to her space it felt like sitting with a friend. She did a great job at giving us feedback on how to keep the cake in our budget. Her team delivered our cake and everything looked and tasted GREAT, got tons of compliments.

Just ate the cake a year later & it was just as great, def. recommend!!

I was referred by my caterer to check out the Hudson Cakery for my wedding cake and I'm so happy that I chose them. Jenn was great to work with and I really enjoyed the cake tasting. My wedding cake came out EXACTLY how I expected and I was blown away by how good it tasted. Almost a month later, and I'm still receiving comments from my guests on how good the cake was. I'd definitely recommend The Hudson Cakery for anyone looking for a cake that looks and tastes amazing.

We had our wedding and reception in Weehawken at Molos restaurant. Jennifer and her team worked with us to create cakes that perfectly matched our NYC skyline theme and they worked within our budget. Hudson Cakery even provided me with a sample cake so I could make adjustments if I wanted. All of our guests raved about the delicious and beautiful cakes. We highly recommend Hudson Cakery for all of your special events.

Jennifer is absolutely AMAZING!!! Fast email responses. She setup a tasting appointment with my now husband and I within the same week for a wedding occurring the following week. It was so hard to choose our flavors because every single one was so good!! She totally understood our vision and our cake met all our expectations. She also let us add on cookie favors. Easy contract signing after the tasting appointment and payment via check on site. She even let me increase our favor numbers and pay online for the difference. My guests loved the taste of my cake (pink champagne). I HIGHLY recommend The Hudson Cakery for any event and will be using them in the future! :)

The Hudson Cakery was so easy to work with! We went with a smaller wedding cake and then a sheet cake to serve our guests with and we had TWO cake flavors!! We absolutely loved the wedding cake that Jennifer and her team at The Hudson Cakery made for us. From the very start Jennifer was patient with us, listened to our vision for the cake, and delivered not only the prettiest wedding cake I've ever seen, but the most delicious one I've ever tasted! I absolutely LOVED our wedding cake by Hudson Cakery. It was the whole package: affordable, delicious, and beautifully crafted. Jennifer also provided excellent service. It was so fun to go to the shop with my fiancé and mother to taste all their amazing favors! After the tasting, we decided on their most popular cake (chocolate with cookies & cream) because it was so delicious. The top of the cake (for the groom and I to keep) was carrot with cream cheese frosting (I can't wait until our first anniversary to eat it).

In regards to the design, Jennifer assured us that they could do pretty much whatever we wanted, so I sketched out what I wanted the cake to look like on paper and shared a few photos from my Pinterest page. I was so afraid of how it would come out because this was a completely original design, but I was so happy to see it come to life - it was exactly how I imagined it. Everyone was so impressed and took photos of it all night.

If you're looking for great taste and quality at a reasonable price, take a trip out to Weehawken and try their cake for yourself! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Jenn's cakes are by far the best I have ever had! She created a gorgeous (and delicious) cupcake display for my wedding. A the end of the night (and after everyone ran to take some home with them) we were only left with about a dozen cupcakes!

It has been exactly one month since my wedding and I am not exaggerating when I say that I still have friends telling me that my cake was the best wedding cake they've ever had! (Chocolate Cake with Oreo Buttercream filling)

On top of the quality of the cake, Jenn (the head cake designer), is a doll and such a pleasure to work with. She brought my vision to life and took my budget into full consideration.

I recommend Hudson Cakery with the utmost confidence that anyone who uses them for their event will be 110% satisfied with the results!

Jennifer at the Hudson Cakery was absolutely amazing! My wife and I had a wonderful tasting and let Jennifer know the style of cake we were interested in. We gave her a basic idea of what we wanted but really left the design up to her. When we saw it for the first time displayed on the table at our wedding, we were absolutely in love with it. It was so elegant and beautiful and we could not have asked for a better cake. She was also extremely professional to work with, very flexible, very responsive and the cake itself was a great value (especially compared to the prices in NYC and elsewhere in the area). If you are looking for a wonderful wedding cake and a great vendor to work with, look no further than Jennifer and The Hudson Cakery! Oh, and her cakes are absolutely delicious!

We couldn't have been happier with our wedding cake and the work done by Jennifer from Hudson Cakery. I asked The Hudson Cakery to make custom cookies as favors for my October wedding. Jennifer was a joy to work with and she delivered exactly what I asked for. And the cookies tasted good too! Jenn is an absolute treasure to work with and over-delivers. Our four tiered wedding cake was gorgeous and so delicious- we received countless compliments from our guests.

I worked with Jennifer (head chef and owner) of The Hudson Cakery to create the perfect Groom's Cake for my now husband at our rehearsal dinner.
Without ever setting foot in The Hudson Cakery or even meeting Jennifer, she was able to work with me very easily via e-mail to create the unique and modern kind of groom's cake i was looking for!
She was very professional and organized and most importantly, created a cake within my budget. Not only did it look great, but it tasted great too!
The cake was dropped off on time to the restaurant and it was important to Jennifer that it was set up where and how i wanted. I never once worried about anything having to do with our cake!
I highly recommend The Hudson Cakery and look forward to using them again in the future!

Our wedding cake was AMAZING! Jennifer was very easy to work with and very professional - confirming everything from the beginning to the end. I changed the design of my order a few times and she was very accommodating....and even offered her expertise to create the perfect cake. We had a rather large cake topper and she made it work wonderfully. The cake tasted amazing...everyone agreed.....red velvet with raspberry and cream cheese filling....probably the best cake I aver tasted .....as per tradition, we have the top layer in our freezer....... I hope it makes it to the end of the year ;). A perfect 10!

The Hudson Cakery created a wonderful groom's cake as a surprise for my husband on our wedding day. Jennifer and her team created a 3D cake of our dog, my husband's best friend. My husband was beyond surprised and very impressed with how great his dog looked as a cake! From the beginning Jenn was responsive, immediately answering my initial email requesting pricing for such a cake. She then quickly and easily drew up a contract with all of the necessary details. Her professionalism in that regard was top notch. And most importantly, her cake creating skills are incredible. The cake looked so life like and even better, the cake was delicious. Jenn was great! The cake came out perfectly. She was extremely organized, confirming all of our details and totally on top of everything. All of the flavors were delicious, but our guests couldn't stop raving about the banana nut cake. You can tell she has a passion for what she does, but she is a savvy business woman at the same time! Elegance with a personal touch. Accommodated us with a custom made flavor, almond coconut cake was so yummy. Not only beautiful. Also had a second flavor of chocolate cake with peanut butter cup; unbelievable. Cake Boss has not a thing on the Hudson Cakery.

I found Jennifer and her wonderful cakes online. I was looking for someone that could tap into our personality and make a design that fit our venue. Jenn was amazing!! I decided to go with a cupcake tier in lieu of a traditional cake and I'm so glad. I picked the chocolate with nutella frosting, banana bread with cream cheese frosting and vanilla with strawberry filling. Our topper cake was the oreo. We had some leftover and I provided small takeout boxes for our guests. We had people fighting over who got to take what home!
I'll definitely be back - actually just want to plan a party just to get the cupcakes!

What more can I say than Hudson Cakery and Jennifer was the absolute BEST from beginning to end! Seriously, if there was ANYthing I could think of where there was room for improvement, I would mention it. But, there just isn't.
One of the best experiences of the entire wedding planning process (which was total do-it-yourself) was working with The Hudson Cakery. Here's why:
#1) VERY responsive in planning! We're a gay couple. I NEVER thought I'd get married. So, I wasn't prepared for any of this, nor had any past experience from friend's weddings. When I reached out to Jennifer via email (based on glowing reviews on Yelp), she quickly replied. She gave clear, concise answers. She was enthusiastic (even though it wasn't going to be a huge cake, and was not going to be tons of money). She was an excellent consultant -- guiding me in some smart decisions, especially once she knew it was going to be an outside garden party wedding (I learned the sun isn't the friend of some frostings and fillings).
#2) THE CAKE, the cake, the cake! Hands down one of the best cakes I've ever had. Tasty. Yummy. Delicious. The design: I gave Jennifer a photo from a magazine of a cake we wanted. She pulled it off perfectly -- it looked beautiful! We received so many compliments on the design and the taste.
#3) THE VALUE. It was a simple wedding. It was a simple but elegant cake, for 60 people. The price was very reasonable... especially for the quality and the amazing personal service.
#4) The delivery. It was worth the small extra delivery fee to ship it in from Hoboken to Central Park. They showed up on time, made sure it was perfectly placed on the cake stand. Quick and efficient, and no worries from me on the wedding day.
I completely and wholeheartedly recommend The Hudson Cakery and Jennifer Bunce.

My husband Drew and I had a gender reveal party back in November of 2011. Our cake was the highlight of our party as it was holding the biggest mystery inside the cake. The inside was either pink or blue and we had found out in front of all our friends and family what we were having by cutting the cake. It was truly the most memorable moment of our lives before we had our baby boy. We were extremely pleased with their service and of course the cake was delicious. Jenn at Hudson Cakery is amazing! I gave her a vision on a design for my cake and she created a stunning piece of art. I almost didn't want to cut into it, it was so beautiful. She did two different cake flavors, red velvet and lemon and they were both spectacular. Everyone tells me fondant tastes blah, but somehow she made that taste amazing too. Jenn also did cookies for the wedding and they were delicious, in fact somehow they missed me when they were passed around and they were so good I had to scrounge around to find one, and we had 300 of them! One of my bridesmaids was quoted as saying, "I ate 17 of those things." But not only were the cake and cookies great, but Jenn was an amazing communicator and everything with her was seamless from the get-go. I feel truly lucky to have had her as the designer of my cake. I cannot recommend her highly enough, you will not be sorry if you choose her for your wedding, in fact you will hit the cake jackpot.

I worked with Jennifer for my wedding cupcakes. I had tasted several other cakes trying to find one I loooved and could not find it until I met with Jennifer. She provided me with several flavors and all were amazing! We worked to come up with the best flavor combinations for my wedding and I ended up with the Banana with Brown Sugar Buttercream, a Vanilla cake with Vanilla Buttercream filled with a berry preserve, and a chocolate cake with vanilla Buttercream with a peanut butter buttercream filling- YUM. On a side note- her Oreo cupcakes were to-die-for as well!! She made an adorable mini wedding cake for the top of the tower for my husband and I to cut. I cannot say enough about how easy an experience working with Jennifer at Hudson Cakery was and how many compliments we received from our guests about the presentation and the taste!!!

The Hudson Cakery did an amazing job on my husband's groom's cake. I ordered him a Mets baseball cake. It was so good! The colors popped, there were clean lines, and the lettering was flawless. The guests at our wedding loved it also; they couldn't stop taking pictures of it. To top it off, the cake tasted delicious! The cake was everything and more!

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience working with Jenn and The Hudson Cakery. Jenn was awesome to deal with- from the initial contact all the way through the design process- she was amazing and very responsive; the best wedding vendor I dealt with. She expertly captured my vision for our wedding cake and brought it to life; the design was perfect and exactly what we were looking to do with our wedding cake. The cake itself was fabulous- moist and delicious. I can't tell you how many people came up to me and asked me where the cake came from because it was by far the best wedding cake they had ever had! We went with two layers of her banana bread cake with the brown sugar butter cream and two layers of pistachio cake with vanilla butter cream- so yummy! Jenn was very professional, fun to work with, and extremely accommodating- our venue was 2 hours away from her shop and she was still willing to deliver to us. The whole process was seamless- the cake was at the venue when we got there and it was definitely the show piece of the reception. I would highly recommend her to anyone for their wedding cake and a truly wonderful experience. You can be rest assured that she will deliver what was promised and the whole process will be smooth and flawless. I am a huge fan and will definitely use her again in the future whenever I have a need for a cake of this caliber.

Jenn was such a pleasure to work with and really took care of everything that I wanted to express on the groom's cake. She was so attentive and helpful and really made the experience so easy. And I'm still in awe at how Fantastic it looked. It was so impressive! I wish I had events all the time that required cakes so that I could order from Hudson Cakery all the time!

Not only was the surprise cake I ordered for my (now!!) husband GORGEOUS, it was DELICIOUS. Without a doubt the best cake I've ever tasted (it was the peanut butter one!!). After the presentation, we went into the kitchen of our venue while they were cutting it so that we could enjoy all of the details a little more) and I cannot believe how cool everything looked!! My fiance and I ordered a grooms cake from Hudson Cakery for our wedding. My familly had ordered from Hudson Cakery for events before and were always very happy. We needed a gluten free cake for our wedding. Jennifer listened to our needs and created an amazing Yankee themed grooms cake that was gluten free. It looked amazing and tasted even better. I went to Jen having no idea what I really wanted for my wedding cake other than something traditional (white with flowers). She did a beautiful job designing my five tier wedding cake with coral and pink peonies and roses to match the flowers in my wedding. It was dead on! On top of the beautiful design, the cake tasted great (there are SO many flavors to choose from) as well and was very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend using her for your own wedding cake, grooms cake, shower cake, what cake needs you have! I cannot wait to eat my first anniversary tier next year!

I called Jenn from the Hudson Cakery to develop a cake for a surprise bridal shower with a scrapbooking theme. I gave her full creative control and asked her just to send me a sketch of what she was thinking. She developed the perfect two tier, red velvet bridal shower cake with scissors perching out of the top like a big heart. The cake was beautiful - even containing pictures of the bride and groom in mini frames! Everyone loved the cake - it was a huge success - perfect for the theme - and very tasty! I ordered a cake for my sister's bridal shower from Jenn at the Hudson Cakery and couldn't have been more pleased! Not only was it beautiful it was also absoultely delicious! As the Maid of Honor, it was my job to plan the shower and the cake was a hit. All of our guests were raving about how amazing it looked and tasted. The buttercream icing, strawberry filling and vanilla cake were out of this world, people came back for seconds and asked to take some home to their husbands! Jenn was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her services to anyone planning a party, shower, engagement party, wedding or any event! Jennifer was absolutely amazing to deal with. From the first email to her she was so helpful and really knew what I wanted....right till the last minute I had no problems whatsoever - and we all know that is what we need on our wedding day.

The cake was beautiful (fabulous NYC cake topper and the skyline she created was brillinant - even better that I expected) and tasted even better! Mmmm Choc fudge/oreo cooking and champagne and strawberry.

I just recently had my wedding in August 2010 and wedding cakes are so expensive but when my fiance and I went to hudson cakery to meet Jennifer we discussed our budget and what we wanted and she was able to make our dream a reality. Not to mention she asked which flavors and filling we wanted so when we met with her she already had mini cakes made for us which all were great and when it comes to cake the quailty, look and the taste is all very inportant and it all was great. If you expect perfection then expect nothing less from Jenn Bunce at The Hudson Cakery! She went above & beyond what we were expecting for our wedding cake. Not only did she listen to all our design ideas and create what we envisioned but surprised us with details we didn't even dream of. We asked her to make the inside of our cake our wedding color: turquoise (which is a complicated color - not blue, not green) and she matched it perfectly! Not only did she get that color but threw in our other wedding color purple as the filling! And wrote our wedding date "10.10.10" on the back of our cake. It was a lovely secret for only us to see when we cut the cake together. I especially cannot forget to mention the taste of our cake - moist & unique. I don't love sweets but not because it was our wedding cake but because it was the best cake I've ever had. Also including our cupcakes! We had leftover cake and shared with all our friends & family that couldn't make it and agreed it must been an amazing cake to eat on the day of because a week later it was still moist and flavorful!

Jennifer at the Hudson Cakery was AWESOME! My husband and my father met with her before our wedding to taste some different samples. She made sure to pack up a to-go bag to bring home so I could try them too. Her cake is DELICIOUS!! We ended up choosing a chocolate chip cake with dark chocolate ganache frosting. The design we chose for the cake was a little bit weird and complicated, but Jennifer totally rolled with it. She drew up a few different designs and emailed them to us so we could choose one. On the day of the wedding, the cake arrived on time and it looked AMAZING! Jennifer was awesome!

Jennifer of Hudson Cakery made our wedding cake this weekend, and people were asking about it and complimenting 'us' (her) on it all day.
THEN we got to eat it! More good words for our talented baker and artist.
It was beautiful and delicious and Jennifer was so easy and fun to work with, our top layer is never going to make it to our one-year anniversary! We want to eat it now!

Jen made a great mango cake for our wedding cake and we received a number of compliments from our guests. She was very nice and accommodated all our ideas. She even traveled to meet us in our neighborhood twice without any extra charge. I should mention that the price was great too. We look forward to ordering our anniversary cake from her.

Hudson Cakery made a surprise groom's cake for our NJ reception! Jenn, the owner saw my vision and made it come to life! She was very responsive to my emails and I enjoyed working with her.
Everyone at the reception was very impressed with the cake (a 3D golf course cake-the hubby's hobbie) and enjoyed eating it as well! The cake was so delicious, very moist and just the right amount of sweetness! I would totally recommend this bakery to anyone and people have already asked where the cake was from (so I hope I recruited for them, they deserve it for their outstanding work and professionalism!) The Hudson Cakery is fabulous! Jennifer did an Alice in Wonderland theme dessert table for my bridal shower and words cannot describe how beautiful it was. Everything from the petite fours to the cake to the "eat me" cookie favors to the "drink me" tags for the champgane was tasteful, elegant and cute without being too cutesy. The Hudson Cakery baked one of most delicious wedding cakes I've ever had. I actually hired them without testing the product. They were one of the few vendors I worked with that I trusted completely because of the way they followed up with me and responsiveness. Jennifer baked and decorated the cake exactly as we discussed. The Hudson Cakery made the most gorgeous cupcake tower for my bridal shower. I had a "coral" theme for my wedding and the cupcakes fit in perfectly. Each one had the cutest little sugar coral branch sticking out of the top! It's hard to believe that something that pretty could actually taste good but the strawberry lemonade frosting was to die for. I didn't have a cake at my wedding (which was in Bermuda) but if I did, I would've definitely used THC! :)

Yes, yummy wedding cake is possible! I wanted wedding cake flavors that were out of the ordinary -- I told Jenn about the flavor combinations I was thinking about, and for the tasting, she came up with new filling and frosting recipes to get at exactly what I was looking for. For the wedding cake itself, she even adjusted one of her cake recipes to create just the density I wanted -- I'm kind of a dessert fiend, so I really appreciated something like that! Jenn is great to work with -- she's really organized, responds super-quickly to emails, is very good about accommodating her customer's requests and feedback, and her prices are extremely reasonable (especially considering the quality of her work and level of customer service).

Ownder/chef Jenn from the Hudson Cakery made both our engagement party cake and our wedding cake. Both were exquisitely beautiful and addictively delicious. Jenn made an adorable tree stump (!) with our initials carved in it for our engagement party. It was decorated with flowers and butterflies (all handmade and completely edible,) and the fondant really looked like tree bark! The time and attention to detail were astounding. And the taste? Let's just say I have a new and lasting obsession with her lemon cake with strawberry lemonade buttercream filling. Like, I dream about it.

For our wedding, we didn't want anything too fussy or traditional, and Jenn worked with us to give us exactly the mood we were looking to set. She made an oversized hostess cupcake (the chocolate kind with the white curlicue.) It, too, was incredible. It was beautiful, completely authentic looking, and so much fun! And, of course, it tasted even better than the "original." It truly made our cake-cutting memorable. I mean, seriously, how cool was that?

Everything about the experience was fun and stress-free. We would use the Hudson Cakery again in a second.

The cake was for my Engagement Party and Jennifer was very flexible and understood exactly what I wanted. We had a great time at our cake tasting appointment and was able to create our own unique cake with the yummy butter-cream filings. On the day of our Engagement the cake looked exactly like we wanted it. Although, unbelievably the bottom tier was kind of dry but overall the cake tasted amazing. Thank you so much!

Jennifer at Hudson Cakery was a dream to work with! She was able to take an idea and make it a reality. I was not ready for the price of cakes in the NJ area, so I started to look at cupcakes and I'm so happy I did! Jennifer fills her cupcakes, so it's as if everyone has their own personal cake! Though I would have loved a little more filling, the cake was delicious and even tasted good after being frozen for a couple of days (we had extras left over). I can't wait to eat our topper cake in a year!

We had a cake tasting at Hudson Cakery and this review is incomplete as we are still waiting for our estimate...

We arrived at their bakery and as soon as you walk in you can smell the sweet baked goods and it smells so yummy! That was a great intro. We had a previous appointment that helped us solidify our design so we pretty much knew what we wanted when we went in. We were provided individual servings of cakes slices with fillings and a side serving of fillings and icings to taste. We both really enjoyed their Almond and Chocolate cakes. My fiance decided on cookies and cream filling that was so delish. He also decided on their whipped coconut filling that was smooth and tasted like a whipped coquito - lawd have mercy! I requested their whipped dulce de leche and whipped Nutella - OMG! I don't even like Nutella, lol, yet it was a must with the Almond cake. We then discussed our designs and they were able to accommodate every request and sharpen our vision. We were told at the conclusion that we would be emailed a proposal and the design sketch. Also, if we hire them we would be able to get as many sketches needed to ensure we were satisfied, which I could imagine would only take a revision or two. Stay tuned... :)

We used the Hudson Cakery for our wedding favors. We had used them in the past so we knew how tasty their mini-cupcakes were. We asked them to put 2 mini-cupcakes in a small box for us to give to our guests. The cupcakes were delicious; however the boxes that they were in were HUGE. Way too big for mini-cupcakes. They were clearly the boxes for regular sized cupcakes. Furthermore, the cupcake holder inside the box was also way too big, so the mini-cupcakes were sliding around the bottom and the frosting was coming off the cupcakes. We called the Hudson Cakery back immediately to ask them to fix the problem. Unfortunately, we did not get smaller boxes properly sized for mini-cupcakes. Instead we got a riser inserted in the box so that the minis did not slide around. This was only a partial fix.

In the end, the cupcakes were delicious, but the presentation wasn't what we had hoped for. In the future, I would use the Hudson Cakery for their food only and not for the presentation of their items.
