All I can say is: WOW! I am so happy that I chose the Hartford Golf Club. Everything about it is amazing.
First of all, the food is outstanding! We were blown away at our first food tasting, and it only got better. At the wedding, everyone raved about the food, and we had comments that it was the best wedding food guests had ever eaten.
The location itself is gorgeous. The reception is inside in a beautiful large ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the golf course. The ceremony can be done on site, either indoors or outdoors My husband and I were married in October, and we were blessed enough to have a beautiful day to get married outside on the lawn behind the house. The foliage was beautiful, the lawn was perfectly manicured, and it was wonderful. There is a room separate from the reception hall that is available for the ceremony should the weather be poor, and it is also a nice room with views over the golf course.
James, the events coordinator, is phenomenal. He was very friendly, very professional, and very helpful with suggestions when we were unsure what to do. The team at the Golf Club were all very professional and helpful, and the servers were prompt and always willing and able to help. James stuck around for the whole rehearsal and event to help us and make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. When we had questions about what happened next, he was there, making sure everything went smoothly. His team was a huge help in placing our centerpieces and making sure everything was where it should be.
The only bad thing about the Golf Club is that they do a ton of events throughout the year. Sometimes James has a lot going on with other events and is unable to get back to you very quickly. However, when he does get back to you, he has all of your answers and stays on top of things. I never doubted that it would be a wonderful day, and it absolutely was!
Definitely go with the Hartford Golf Club; they are the best!
