The Grift made our wedding the most fun event of the year! Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night and when they played Harvest Moon during the world's most epic sunset it really sealed the deal. All of our friends and family are still talking about how incredible the Grift was months later. I couldn't picture our wedding day without this band. -
Kaitlyn Sent on 09/27/2018The Grift played at our June 23, 2018 wedding and they were honestly one of the best parts of the wedding! All of our guests, were (and are still) raving about them. From the ceremony music, to cocktail hour and then at the reception, they could not have been better. Everyone had so much fun and the Grift played a huge part in that. Their energy and set-list for the reception was amazing - from the first song they played, until the last song, the dance floor was full of all age groups. They are also really nice guys and very easy to work with. Erin was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process - proactive in planning, answered all of our questions quickly and was happy to jump on the phone anytime. And as soon as I talked to Clint a few days before the wedding, I could tell the band totally knew what they were doing and there was nothing to worry about. The Grift surpassed expectations and we can't imagine a better band to have played at our wedding! We would 100% recommend them and can't say enough positive things about them! THANK YOU to the Grift!

User2340307 Sent on 09/29/2015We brought The Grift down to Boston to play at our wedding this past August, and they kept the dance floor rocking all night long! The Grift had also played at my sister's wedding in Vermont a couple years prior, and we knew we had to have them at ours as well. They played an acoustic set during our cocktail hour, which everyone really enjoyed, and then once the reception started, they played straight through to the end - leaving our guests chanting "one more song, one more song" as everyone was having so much fun! We received so many compliments on how much fun our wedding was, and we owe a lot of that to The Grift. The dance floor was quite literally packed all night, and they played all of our favorite songs, from The Twist, Like a Prayer and Don't Stop Believin' to more modern favorites like Blurred Lines and Shut Up and Dance. Our guests loved them, and several even inquired how they could contact The Grift for upcoming parties and events. In addition to being awesome musicians and having an incredibly high energy level, they are also really nice guys, and were great to work with. We would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is looking to keep the dance floor rocking at their wedding - you will not regret hiring The Grift! -
User2253459 Sent on 08/03/2015The Grift is by far the best wedding band in Vermont. They are a pleasure to work with leading up to the big day and can get everyone dancing immediately (from 9 year olds to 90 years olds!). I have never seen so many dance at a wedding and truly love every minute of it. The Grift played acoustic for our ceremony (they chose the music and it was perfect), a bluegrass cover set during cocktail hour and then the reception - without taking any real breaks. Now always two years later, people are STILL telling me that the Grift was the best wedding band they've ever experienced, not only in Vermont, but anywhere. The Grift made our wedding day in Vermont; I'm so happy we chose them (but really after hearing them once, there's no other option). They're that good and all around terrific people. -
Scott Sent on 09/20/2018We love The Grift because they combine serious eclectic musical talent with palpable joy whenever they are onstage. Having seen their uncanny ability to play to any audience from apres-ski to New Year's Eve bashes to summer street parties, we expected nothing less than a packed dance floor all night at our wedding reception, and still their delivery exceeded our wildest dreams. Our number one comment from guests was, "You had the best band ever!"
The band kept everything stress-free by arriving early, helping us set up our reception room decorations, reviewing name pronunciations, and checking in with us throughout the night. When we got behind schedule, they took it in stride, delaying their start time and then taking a super short set break to make up for it.
The Grift really understands weddings and clearly enjoys getting everyone up on the dance floor. We loved their diverse playlist spanning six decades including recent hits. We also appreciated how they took the time to get our input on the music in advance, but then also used their vast experience to adjust to the crowd and the moment. They did a great job of learning and arranging our requested first dance song, and they introduced and started "Hava Naglila" slowly to give everyone a chance to learn it before building into the traditional carefree celebration. Their clean pivots between songs kept the dance floor packed all night. If you are looking for live music for your wedding, you can't go wrong with The Grift! -
