Best day ever!!!

Our wedding experience went above and beyond any expectation we had. The entire staff is warm, kind, and professional. Lynne is amazing! She knows her stuff, and is just so wonderful to work with. At the rehearsal and day of, Greg led the charge, kept the whole ceremony and party on track. Kim our server was always there to help us, the beyond happy couple. I cannot stop saying enough great things about our wonderful wedding experience at The Ethan Allen.

Our Best Day Ever - Thanks Ethan Allen

My wife and I held our wedding reception in September at the Ethan Allen. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience! Ethan Allen was the first place we looked at and, although we looked at many other venues, we kept comparing them to Ethan Allen. The quality and taste of the food was very important to us. We saw many positive reviews about the food and after our tasting we knew the food would not disappoint. So many of our guests raved about the food. The bakery Ethan Allen uses (Homestyle Desserts in Peekskill, NY) made a gorgeous and delicious cake and our guests were wowed by the Viennese station.
The real shining stars were the staff. Lynne, our wedding coordinator, helped us create the celebration of our dreams and was very patient with our numerous questions. We felt that she and the staff really cared and wanted us to have an incredible night. Greg was wonderful that night, he orchestrated the Ethan Allen team and made sure everything ran smoothly and that we had everything we needed/wanted. The hotel and reception staff were all so wonderful to work with. We are so happy with our decision to have our reception at Ethan Allen, we wouldn’t have changed a thing!

The Most Perfect Day!

I used to have this vision of an outdoor, rustic place for my wedding. One of the very first places my husband and I visited was the Ethan Allen Hotel and something about it, just really stood out to us. I was so intrigued about having everything in one central location (ceremony, pictures, reception). We first started the process with Eileen who immediately had us hooked, and then Lynne took over and totally made our dreams come true. I felt like everyday for the month before, Lynne and I would talk and I would never felt overwhelmed- I knew the day would be perfect, AND IT WAS. The staff, the ambiance, the set up of the room (LITERALLY, IT LOOKED LIKE A TOTALLY RUSTIC PLACE- JUST LIKE I WANTED!!!) We worked with the captain Greg for our rehearsal and day of and we can't thank him enough for making sure everything ran smoothly. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect inside- I didn't know how 200+ people would fit in that room, but somehow they did- and it was perfect. They transformed the entire lobby into the most amazing cocktail hour ever- I was blown away. 2+ weeks later, we are STILL getting people who are raving about the food. The food totally stole out during our tasting but to hear it from virtually everyone that attended, just makes it that much better (kudos to the chef & his team.) We added late night snacks in the bar which were perfect and exactly what everyone needed after a long night of drinking and dancing. The coffee & bagels in the morning were such a nice touch as so many of our guests took advantage of staying over in the hotel. (The rooms are beautiful) I could not have dreamed of a more perfect place and we cannot wait to return for our 1 year!!!

Amazing Day!

Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. Lynne Coppola and all employees made us feel very special on our wedding day. The food was delicious, the signature drink was a hit, and the cake was delicious. Everything was just how I had imagined it would be.

Best Place to host a wedding!

I'm so glad we went with the Ethan Allen for our wedding. It has everything you need, a hotel to stay so you don't need to worry about a shuttle, a cute gazebo area to have the ceremony (that can fit a lot more than it looks) and a ballroom for the reception. The cocktail hour was open and there was so much natural light it looked awesome. Lynne was with me every step of the way, especially since she came in halfway through the planning process and took over for Eileen. She did it effortlessly and wonderfully. Greg was our day of coordinator and kept it tight and in control. The entire staff was amazing, so friendly and fun. My husband and I felt so special. Thank you Ethan Allen!!

Excellent Experierence

Eileen and Lynne were both wonderful to work with during my wife and I's wedding journey at Ethan Allen. I started off working with Eileen. She was amazing and very accommodating to my family and I's cultural needs. Eileen was always on top of her game. Very organized and gotta love her OCD! Unfortunately, Eileen left for another position after serving many wonderful years at Ethan Allen. Lynne came aboard and made the transition experience wonderful! She met with my wife and I to make sure our expectations were surpassed on our wedding day. Lynne was our savior on our wedding day. She made sure everything went smoothly. Everything came out wonderful besides my one friend who brought a guest that wasn't invited. Lynne and her team helped my wife and I relieve any stress that would have came in my way that day.

Highly recommend!!!

Ethan Allen was the perfect venue for our wedding reception (and rehearsal dinner)!!! Choosing a venue for your wedding can be an extremely daunting task, and we’re so glad that we went with the team at Ethan Allen. Lynn was an absolute pleasure to work with. She responded to my many emails in an extremely timely manner and ensured that all the details regarding our wedding were flawless. Greg was great...he was there throughout both events to ensure that everything was going smoothly. Sunny and her team of servers were phenomenal. Our food was delicious (thanks chef!) and piping hot!! Deanna was a lovely bridal attendant. She ensured that I had everything I needed throughout the night.
We got married almost a month ago, and our guests are still raving about their experience at Ethan Allen. Many guests stayed over, and loved the convenience of having their hotel room at the same location as our reception. They also loved utilizing the hotel bar for our after party!!! Ethan Allen is not only a beautiful venue, but also super convenient. We highly recommend Ethan Allen!!!!!

We’re so happy we chose the Ethan Allen Hotel!

Ethan Allen gave us the absolute best day of our lives. We had the pleasure of working with Joseph and he put all our worries to rest and made sure everything was all set for our day. We met Greg at our ceremony rehearsal and he knew exactly what he was doing and was so on top of things, he kept the wedding on track and we would have been lost without him. The courtyard and the reception hall were both beautiful, the food was delicious (everyone can’t stop talking about how it’s the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding), the staff was professional and great to work with, and you just can’t beat the convenience of ending the night and walking upstairs to your hotel room. We would highly recommend having your wedding at the Ethan Allen Hotel!!

Excellent experience

We recently got married at the Ethan Allen Hotel. Every single moment involved with planning and the day of the wedding was stress free and easy! The whole day ran smoothly. The convenience of the hotel and wedding all in one place made all of our guests happy! Teresa, Sunny, Mia, Angela, Lenny, Kevin, Oksana, Linda and Lee were extremely attentive and helpful the entire night! Our guest were complementing the staff of the hotel the whole time! Was heard thru the night and the very next day!
The calls, texts and posts echo the same for days!
If you want to hear these words about your wedding then... you have to call Eileen Whitney, Director of Weddings and Special Events at Ethan Allen inn!
She leads a team of consumate professionals committed to provide you the best experience ever. Eileen will lead you step by step through the entire process from prep thru the day of the event. She has an ”A” list of excellent local vendors all who are there to serve your event as best as they can.
We could not be more pleased, from the rehearsal dinner, to brunch the day after the wedding. Greg the Banquet Manager has superb people managing skills (which I compare to hearding puppies.) from staging the entrance of the bridal party to the big entrance at the reception are top notch! The Bride, had Sunny the dedicated service captain. Sunny ( with a most shining personality to match her name.) stayed with the bridal party from early morning to reception. She made made certain the groups every need was met, not to mention fed and hydrated.
The staff performs a well rehearsed ballet, from Prep of the elegantly decorated ceremony, followed by a seamless transition to the cocktail hour, into the reception! The team is flawless from the front desk to the maintenance crew. The Chef Claudio and his kitchen staff presents beautiful and tasty food!
The restaurant and bar service is terrific! The plentiful inventory of rooms are spacious and well maintained. It was such a pleasure to have every guest stay under the same roof! Our event was topped off as we continued with an afterparty in the bar with a DJ, kept the party going till 2:00am!
My only disappointment, we should have booked two more hours!
We highly recommend The Ethan Allen Inn.

Beyond Amazing! Eileen was able to bring NJ to CT, just the way I wanted!

My husband and I looked at several venues and really wanted a hotel venue for the convenience of all of our traveling guests. We weren’t impressed by any of the big chain hotel ballroom options as they really felt like conference rooms and some other local competitors felt much more rundown. As soon as we walked in, we were impressed and my husband said to me “you’re sold already” to which I said, “I really like it but not yet.” Then we met Eileen and I was sold. She knew exactly what I was looking for with the big NJ style cocktail hour and she and the chef created a taco bar and mashed potato/French fry bar that I heard were amazing (sadly I didn’t get to taste them myself with how busy we got with talking to our guests). Our guests were all raving about the food, the service and the look of the hotel. Eileen was super honest about what she recommended and what was unnecessary with the packages and really helped me make decisions on just about everything including flower arrangements (shout out to Rita’s Floral Touch who was almost amazing and knows the venue extremely well) and table arrangements and all sorts of little stuff. Some days I think she was just my therapist which all brides could definitely use sometimes! She even worked her magic and found a way to have an outside ceremony even though it had rained all morning and the ground was wet. She really went above and beyond. All of the staff were helpful and available and I have to recommend the brunch for the morning after as well. The food was excellent and just kept coming. A couple days after the wedding, my husband said he was disappointed we didn’t get a picture with Eileen before she left which just tells you how much he enjoyed working with her (even though as a typical male he didn’t want much involvement with wedding planning). We are already looking for an excuse to have another event here. I’m thinking baby shower or first birthday for our future children. You won’t regret booking here!

Great Experience

After looking at a few venues and telling my Mother I was going to elope she found the Ethan Allen Hotel. She contacted Eileen and set up an appointment for me. The second I walked into the Ethan Allen and met Eileen I knew that this would be my venue. The location is modern, clean and Eileen knew what I wanted without me having to ask. Eileen was very quick to respond and made everything so easy! Many of the guests complimented the food. Several of my guests and myself do not eat meat and the chef made us a delicious vegetarian option. All of the staff was friendly and attentive. The price of the venue was straightforward and affordable. Eileen made the whole process as seamless as possible. I would highly recommend this venue!

I thoroughly researched dozens of venues, costs, locations, menus and distance. I created a spreadsheet for my husband and I to go on tours and scout out our favorites. On a whim, I sent a quick email to Ethan Allen saying we were going to be in the area and grabbing a drink in their bar and looking around. Eileen replied and said she would love to meet with us. Grabbed our drink, sat in the lobby for a minute and here comes Eileen. Looking back, I swear she had a halo and wings. We walked around, sat and chatted about everything and signed a contract. All previous preparation for any other venue was gone in a second! The next 7 months, she went above and beyond a hundred times. Our tasting, the food was delish but more, the heartfelt conversations we had with Eileen are really what made this all feel like it was meant to be. My florist and I drove her insane with table design for 3 months and she never lost her cool. She would just say "Jen, I don't think that will work, come up and show me what you want." Linens, menus, adding, deleting, weather, everything. She was on it from day one. We were thrilled with every detail even before we got the BIG DAY... Then, it got even better.
The food was amazing, the setup was spot on. The service staff, perfect. Sunny, this perfect woman who was there for us all day, took care of things I never would have thought of until it was too late. While we were on the dance floor, she packed up our food, the cake, the bridal suite, flowers and had them all in our room waiting. We didn't have to do anything. We didn't have to think about anything but enjoying the perfect day with our loved ones.
I knew the day we met Eileen that we were connected somehow. She is more than a coordinator, she is a genuinely beautiful human with a huge heart who wanted our day to be perfect. I consider her my friend now and will forever remember our wedding day as beautiful, perfect and touched by OUR angels, together. Thank you ALL

Eileen and ALL of the staff (especially Robert, Sonny, & Greg) at the Ethan Allen hotel were absolutely amazing. Our day wouldn’t of been as perfect without all of their help and support. My, now husband, and I did not have to lift a finger the day of our wedding. They were organized, punctual, and most of all got to know us within a sort time to cater to our every need. The food was out of this world and the venue was beautiful. I had very specific details I wanted to incorporate during our big day and they, without question, got the job done. There was not one complaint nor one stressful moment at our time spent there. It was a wedding we could of only of dreamed about and would have a wedding once a year there if we could. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend!!!

My mother worked with the EA staff to host my bridal shower and it was absolutely perfect. The staff members were professional and went out of their way to make sure my day went off without a hitch....all while making sure I didn’t lift a finger so that I could enjoy every second of my day. If you are thinking about having a wedding, or any special occasion, run… do not walk, to the Ethan Allen Hotel! I recently had my rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and morning after breakfast at Ethan Allen and it was absolutely flawless! On a day that you expect perfection, but also plan for the worst, I received only the former. From Greg, who was our captain and made sure everything ran smoothly and wrangled my bridal party expertly while never making us feel like we weren’t having fun. To Svetlana, my attendant, who left me feeling like she was genuinely as happy for me as any family member in attendance. She watched over me, made sure I ate and had something to drink, gathered all our gifts and cards and brought them to our room and managed to always be there without ever being obtrusive. And to Kim at reception who always had a smile on her face and made sense out of chaos as I changed room reservations left and right (the rooms at the hotel are big and gorgeous! My guests loved them) There wasn’t a staff member who wasn’t gracious, kind and helpful. Many of my guests reiterated that point to me. And the food was FANTASTIC! Huge kudos to the chef who managed to make banquet catering taste like individually ordered Michelin starred meals!

But I have saved the best for last… Eileen, or Wonder Woman as I came to think of her in my head. I walked in to Ethan Allen to just check out the venue and within seconds of meeting Eileen, I knew I had my location. She oozes an energy of complete confidence that she knows exactly what she’s doing and really cares about you and your event. I am an event planner by trade and there are very few people I would have felt comfortable leaving all my months of planning in the hands of but Eileen. She executed my vision even better than I would have myself! I, quite literally, did nothing but relax and enjoy my wedding day because that was the gift Eileen gave me.

The Ethan Allen Hotel will be the venue for our daughter’s wedding in December but we also (just last week) hosted a Bridal Shower/Tea Party/Brunch for her at the hotel. The Conservatory — a bright, sunny room with French doors opening to the courtyard patio (with lovely gardens and a gazebo) — was the perfect setting for the brunch. Aside from the lovely venue, the service and food (especially the Mimosa bar) were excellent and the food & beverage presentation was lovely. We fully appreciated Eileen’s helpful and creative input on all matters from food to décor and look forward to collaborating with her and the staff again this winter. I cannot say enough good things about Eileen, who is an absolute delight to work with! I highly recommend the Ethan Allen Hotel to anyone who wishes to have a memorable and worry-free event. The staff have it down to an art. The execution is seamless. The décor is classic but fresh and modern. Whatever vision you’re dreaming of for your event, you can count on Eileen and the staff at the Ethan Allen Hotel to make it happen!

Highly recommend the Ethan Allen Hotel for your wedding reception! Eileen is amazing! From the time we met her 2 years before our wedding she was always on top of everything! Within the first few minutes of our first phone conversation, I knew I had to work with Eileen and the Ethan Allen for our BIG day! If you knew me, you’d know I’m one to sometimes stress out easily, however this is the FIRST occasion that I can honestly say I was completely STREE FREE for - the planning, the organizing and every second of our Wedding Day! That’s because Eileen was there every step of the way. For months, she answered any question I had immediately, at all hours of the day. Anything that I thought would be an issue, she assured would be taken care of. She is a true professional and gives you her suggestions, but works to bring to life your vision. On our Wedding Day, Eileen and her team ran a FLAWLESS event. They worked perfectly together with all of our vendors to create a truly magical day. The Ethan Allen Hotel is truly a 5 Star one stop shop - Cocktail hour, Reception, Hotel Bar for after party & Pillows to lay our heads on! Kyle and I have never felt more like Royalty.

If you are looking for a fairytale wedding this is your castle! Your fairy god mother Eileen really does make all your dreams come true... AND MORE! The EAH is beyond beautiful with an AMAZING staff. I don't like using the word staff, they were all family that day. We met Eileen at a wedding show in Jan 2017 and we just fell in love with her and her charisma. We set up our meeting immediately and it was our first and last meeting for a venue for our Feb 2018 wedding. The moment we walked into the Hotel we know this is where we would start the next chapter of our life. Eileen makes everything so easy and always made sure I wasn't stressed. The EAH runs only one wedding at a time which is great. We were the main focus. Honestly we know that they run weddings all year long, but when you are with Eileen it is ONLY your wedding happening. I don't know how she does it! She truly is magical! I drew up a little idea almost a year before the wedding and she worked with Dave from SpinDoctors DJ to create this amazing fantasy dream of a wedding come true. Eileen will literally read your mind and go above and beyond any expectation you can possibly dream up. Our day came and EVERYONE was amazing. Everyone that works there did anything and everything to make the day go so smooth. We used all local vendors who work along side each other all the time and it was more then perfect. We even decided to change our center pieces two weeks before the big day and Eileen made it happen! She used her magic to create this beautiful evening. We have been told by many of our guests that our wedding was the best wedding that have ever attended. It is all because of our now family at the EAH and all the love and hard work they put into making your day absolutely spectacular. Eileen we love you so much and everything you have done for us! The Ethan Allen exceeded our expectations. It was so perfect. We were pretty much locked in at another venue but last minute my fiance stopped in here for a drink at the bar. He spoke with Eileen and had set a time for the next day for me to come and meet with her. I was hesitant as we were just about booked elsewhere - Eileen sold me. The venue and the rooms there are gorgeous, but it was Eileen that I wanted. I booked her - not the venue. I immediately felt comfortable with her - she kept it real every step of the way! We had a small 11 person wedding, ceremony and dinner. Eileen made it feel just as special as the large wedding. We were not treated differently because we were a smaller wedding which was less $ for them, she made us feel just as important.
She communicates quickly and keeps you informed as you go, she handled everything and just kept us in the loop.
She was flexible with some last minute ideas/changes. And she will tell you honestly if another idea is better. Eileen was hands down amazing to work with - her personality is fun and calming!
The venue was incredible. We held the ceremony in front of the fireplace, with a piano player.
Eileen had decorated the mantle with candles just as we wanted. it was very romantic!
We moved in cocktail hour - food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed themselves while snacking and drinking at the open bar. We ordered farm tables and chairs from an outside vendor to give it more of a smaller rustic feeling to dinner. Eileen had it set up exactly as we pictured. The room had such a romantic feel to it. Our server during dinner was Jane - 5 stars to her! She was so gracious and accommodating to our group. Everyone loved her!!! Our dinner was amazing - majority of the group had the pork chop or the filet. Both looked amazing - the pork chop was mouth watering good.

My husband Brian and I got married here in November 2017. Our wedding coordinator Eileen, the staff, Sue, and Janice made our special day very special. Eileen helped us every step of the way planning the ceremony, reception, favors, and breakfast the next day. She suggested vendors that fit our personalities and this was so helpful since we were coming from out of town. She helped us plan the decor in the conservatory which made for the most beautiful space for the ceremony. The reception was gorgeous and so fun we lost track of time. The menu we chose was very specific to suit many diets and they accommodated everything we asked for. Excellent carving station and our guests raved about the potatoes!! She takes the stress away the day of the wedding and takes care of all the details that would have made us crazy. My family wishes we lived closer so we could have all our events at Ethan Allen Hotel. We will never forget everything you did for us. We are forever grateful. Love you Eileen and thank you <3

The Ethan Allen Hotel was very accommodating to our wedding. We had over 100 guests staying at the hotel, we had the rehearsal dinner, an after-party and a brunch all at the hotel. The staff was very attentive, set everything up for us and handled everything with ease. The food was delicious and the amenities were clean, professional and just what we were looking for in a hotel. The hotel handled the gift bags perfectly and guests complimented their attentiveness.

The Ethan Allen Hotel was the perfect place for our wedding. After reviewing a few other options, we decided on Ethan Allen because of the price, staff, and proximity of the venue. I can safely say this was an excellent decision. We had several meetings with Eileen who helped us through every step of the process. Our big day went off without a hitch thanks to Eileen! Every single person we’ve talked to has said it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to. From the gorgeous scenery in the courtyard to the table settings and banquet room, every single thing was exactly how we imagined it. The food, drinks, and cake were all amazing. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. I cannot recommend The Ethan Allen enough, thank you to all who helped make our day the best day of our lives! If you’re looking for a venue then you should absolutely take a hard look at Ethan Allen!

Words can't express how happy and grateful we are with Ethan Allen Hotel - especially with Eileen Whitney ( events coordinator ). She was so kind, organized, helpful, and most important, she was able to take away the overwhelming feeling (that allowed us bride and groom) to enjoy our wedding day. My husband and I got married at Ethan Allen hotel last month! We had looked at many venues before, attempting to find a completely handicap accessible venue as he is paralyzed. Having been to an awesome wedding before at Ethan Allen, we checked it out for our wedding and once again found that not only was it perfect for our wheelchair wedding, but also so accommodating to our many guests traveling from out of state! From the beggining Eileen was there for us, not only as our wedding liaison but also as our friend! She totoally got my vision and brought it to life beautifully, all while making sure everything was accommodating for my husband! The food was amazing, the party was great, the hotel is beyond gorgeous and our guests all had a wonderful time!! Thank you Ethan Allen hotel and Eileen!! It was the best day ever!!

I could not hope for a better venue for our wedding! Eileen, the Catering Director is a rock star! she understood my needs and vision for the wedding from get go! Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and professional. The Hotel has a very nice outdoor space with a gazebo, makes the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony! the day of my wedding it rained, everyone worked really hard to dry out the space so I can have my perfect outdoor wedding!!
We also had a lot of our guests stayed at the hotel, very comfortable and spacious rooms!

Ethan Allen Hotel was the first venue we looked at to host the most important day of our lives and the last. When walking through the hotel (which is absolutely GORGEOUS) with Eileen we immediately knew this was the place for us. One of the first comments that Eileen made was that she treats every single wedding she does as if it was her own daughter's. I don't know of many other people in the wedding business who would not only say this, but PROVE it! She did just what she said. She went above and beyond, making sure my fiancé and I were happy and comfortable with every decision that was made. She promptly answered countless emails and questions ranging from where to put out the place cards, to organizing the order of events for the reception. Not only is she unbelievable at her job, but an even more amazing person. She truly cares about you as a couple and wants nothing more than to make your wedding day perfect. She was extremely accommodating to my father who has MS and is in a wheel chair. She made sure the aisle was wide enough for him and my mother to walk me down during the ceremony, and provided ample space for him at his reception table. No little detail was overlooked. It is two weeks later and we still have family members and friends telling us our wedding was the best they have ever attended. The food is outstanding and you can't beat the convenience of the venue. We had our ceremony and reception at the Ethan Allen Hotel which worked great since we had a lot of guests from out of state. We didn't have to worry about transferring guests from place to place and one part of the day flowed right into the next. We had 117 people stay at the hotel on the night of the wedding which made for a great after party in the hotel's bar that comes equipped with a DJ! You simply cannot get this anywhere else. There's not ONE thing I would've changed about our wedding day. It was the best day of our lives and we truly cannot thank Eileen and the staff/chef enough!!

We had our wedding at the Ethan Allen on June 3, 2017 and literally everything was perfect!! Eileen is wonderful to work with and really made my dreams a reality on the day of. She is a perfectionist like me so the finishing touches and small details were beyond perfect! The cocktail hour was delicious as well as the main courses, everyone was raving about the food. As guests were leaving we kept hearing people say it was the best wedding they ever been to. Our DJ, big daddy, who I highly recommend was incredible. The party started the second we walked in and didn't end till the last song. I highly highly recommend having your wedding at the Ethan Allen. The price is right and you get a lot for that price. Again, Eileen is wonderful to work with and takes all the stress of planning a wedding away, I had full trust in her and my day turned out better than I could have ever imagined!! Thank you Eileen and the rest of the staff at the Ethan Allen!

We celebrated our wedding at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Spring 2017. After researching and seeing many venues local to Fairfield County/Northern Westchester, we loved the idea of having a venue that offered the ease of allowing guests to head straight up to their rooms at the end of the night - plus the property was beautifully renovated over the last two years! Taking everything into consideration (location, pricing, food, service, etc.) and having attended other receptions at the Ethan Allen Hotel, we knew it would be the right choice for us to celebrate our special day. What we didn't realize at first, however, was just how special the wedding coordinator, Eileen, was in helping us organize our reception. From our initial meeting, we knew we were in good hands. Many times in the "wedding process" making decisions, organizing vendors, and ensuring that all is in line can feel like a daunting process. Having Eileen on our team made everything that much easier. She was consistently prompt in her replies, fair in honoring pricing and packages, and always willing to meet in person to go over any questions that arose. Months prior to the event, Eileen allowed us to come in to the restaurant on property with our parents to sample some of the menu options in what was a small, private event. Here, we really got to know Eileen as a person, and she walked us through all the details and even introduced us to the chef. This personal touch truly makes the difference between other venues in the area. Needless to say, on the day of the event we thought the food was great and many of our guests said they truly enjoyed their meals. When it came to working with various vendors around the area, Eileen was often familiar with them and made our decision-making process that much easier. She never rushed us and was always on top of things. In the end, Eileen and her team at the Ethan Allen gave us a wonderful wedding reception that we will never forget and I know our guests won't either!

My husband and I looked at a lot of places to hold our wedding reception. None felt special to me. When I went to the Ethan Allen, I was in love. The Regency was beautiful, the hotel was recently renovated, and we just knew this was the right place for us. Our first visit was unscheduled and it was late at night. The staff accommodated our intrusion with nothing but courtesy. We made an appointment with Eileen to discuss our wedding. I could take over the whole page talking about Eileen, so I will be brief. I could not have asked for a better person to have at my side during the wedding planning process. Eileen Whitney is the most amazing person at her job. We are so grateful to the Ethan Allen for everything that they did to make our day special.

The moment I walked in and met with Eileen, I knew that this was the place! She is so helpful and full of energy and great ideas. What she has done there is amazing and works like a well oiled machine. Every last detail was handled seamlessly, from the food, to the cake, to the set up and vendor recommendations. The staff was professional and friendly and truly wonderful. The guest suites were spacious and comfortable. The food was amazing and the ambiance was classy and elegant. My husband and I were sure we wanted to have our wedding reception at the EAHotel as soon as we met Eileen. We knew she would make everything run smoothly and work to make our special day perfect. We were not disappointed. Our guests absolutely raved about the food (which was phenomenal) as well as about the service from all of the staff. Everyone was willing to go above and beyond and provide any assistance that was necessary, including getting some ice cream to comfort my 2 year-old nephew/ring bearer after he felt and busted open his lip. The cocktail hour space feels more like a home (with the fire place and comfy seating) and since my husband and I were able to attend that it really felt like we got to welcome everyone to a party we were hosting. Eileen gave me and the bridal party the hospitality suite off of the ballroom for the whole day, so we had enough space for make-up and hair to be happening for all 11 of us that needed it. Eileen really makes you feel like you are planning and organizing this event with a friend. All of my vendors (photographer, florist, etc.) were so happy to be able to work with Eileen again. We ended up having 50 hotel rooms used from all of our guests and I had wanted to provide breakfast the next morning for them. Eileen made up tickets that my guests were given when they checked in that they just had to turn in at Sunday's breakfast then I paid for how many tickets were turned in. It was perfect, just like everything else on that day.

I don't even know where to begin with my experience. I guess it all started with Eileen. She was absolutely amazing through the whole process of planning. Any time I had a question she always got back to me in a timely fashion. She would give me suggestions when I had no clue what I was doing and would find a solution if there was an issue. You are in very good hands once you book the hotel. Not only was she amazing but the staff there as well. We had our rehearsal dinner there too. All of the staff were so attentive and nice. I couldn't have asked for a more smooth weekend. All weekend my husband and I were getting compliments left and right about how beautiful the hotel was and how amazing the food was. You will not be disappointed with the food! My friend actually told me that she would make a special trip just to go back to eat at the restaurant. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. If you are looking for an elegant venue for an amazing price, look no further! You will have the most stress free experience. The Ethan Allen Hotel is the way to go.

With recent renovations to the hotel, my number one recommendation is to book early. My daughter's wedding on 12/31/16 was booked in March 2015 to ensure we locked in the date. The property is well appointed. The service was above the norm. There were many highlights but two were especially noteworthy. The Wedding Coordinator, Eileen Whitney, is the ultimate professional. Weddings can be a very stressful event. Eileen took the time before and during the event to ensure everything went as planned. That level of hands-on attention to detail separates her from others. She was a positive presence throughout the day of the event and eased any concerns we had. The other standout highlight for us was the beverage and catering staff. Food -- delicious, beverage service staff -- attentive. I personally met the head chef who took time away from preparing desserts to greet us. Very humble demeanor and excellent at his craft. I still have no idea how they can prepare and serve warm, perfectly prepared meals for 170 people without a hitch. And the desserts -- great presentation and flavor with nothing overly sugary. All in all, an "11" on a scale of 1-10. Many thanks to the whole staff.

Our daughter was married Thanksgiving weekend, and our friends & family are still raving about the hotel, room accomodations, food and party! But most important to this special day was Eileen Whitney, the Catering Director - She does not disappoint....she is the BEST! Finely tuned in to her couples, Eileen will guide you to a perfect day! She's warm and friendly, always available to answer questions & always one step ahead of the bride & groom. She was there every step of the way with us from helping plan to decorating (she is extremely creative & carried the theme & color scheme throughout the wedding!), & suggested the floral, bakery & cocktail music vendors that were just right for us. She oversaw the rehearsal the night before the wedding, and with her fantastic staff, was at the ceremony & cocktail hour, right to walking us thru the doors to the reception, where Gregory took over and saw to our every need! Thank you Eileen and your fantastic staff for making our lives so easy through it all, but mostly because according to Alison & Chris, the bride & groom, "...it was the best day ever!"

Amazing is all I can say. From the first moment I met Eileen I knew that the Ethan Allen was the right venue for my wedding. She perfected every detail and she got my 2 1/2 yr old son down the isle without any problem! Every guest stated that this was the best wedding they ever attended. The food was top notch. I have to say my husband and I looked high and low for the perfect venue to have our wedding and nothing compares to what you get at Ethan Allen for the money you pay. The entire process was so simple. From our first meeting with Eileen prior to the Bridal show that is hosted at Ethan Allen we knew that this was our venue. Eileen is a straight shooter and there is no hidden anything. She lays everything out on the table for you and you can take it or leave it. Well we took it! Our wedding was on 10/15/16 we had the most perfect weather and everything from soup to nuts was great. All of our guests raved about the food and the great time they had. Two years ago we walked into the Ethan Allen and absolutely knew we wanted to get married there, especially after we met Eileen!!!! Whenever I wanted to meet with Eileen to go over details about our wedding, or emailed her with loads of questions, Eileen always took the time out to answer our questions and make us feel important! She really goes out of her way to make sure things are perfect, and adds the little extras to make your day unique! Our wedding day was gorgeous, and I can say it was one of the BEST days of my life!!!! Everything was perfect! I started our venue search with a detailed spreadsheet with LOTS of venues that looked good to us and offered what we were looking for in our price range. We visited Ethan Allen first... booked it that night without hesitation!

Words cannot describe how amazing Ethan Allen Hotel is. The venue is just stunning! However, Eileen and her staff is what makes this place AMAZING! From the very first night we meant Eileen, we knew we wanted to work with her. She has this amazing ability to make you feel comfortable and like you've been friends for ages even though she just met you. Throughout the entire process, she never once made us feel like we were bothering her with our endless list of questions. All her suggestions and recommendations were ON POINT! Ladies and gents, she knows what she's doing!

We all deserve a wonderful wedding - and our wedding was absolutely flawless and perfect, thanks to Ethan Allen! I honestly could not have asked for a better day even though it was rainy and gloomy. We have gotten so many compliments on the venue, on the amazing food, and on the fantastic service provided by all the staff at Ethan Allen. We even heard LOTS of compliments on how amazing the rooms are. So many people told us, it was the best wedding they have ever been to. That I believe is the biggest compliment a newlywed couple could hear.

My advice for any couple looking for a great wedding venue would be to have Eileen and her team do your wedding. We knew immediately that this was the place for us. So classy yet understated elegance. Eileen and her team could not have been easier to work with. For the price of the reception you actually get a wedding planner!! Eileen is on top of things and can make suggestions to help plan. The food is excellent, the restrooms are immaculate, the staff is courteous and professional. The chef has made a name for himself in the Danbury area. Eileen truly cares about each of her brides and goes above and beyond to make her day the best day ever. It shows in the every wedding she does. Planning was a breeze. Eileen has room drawing and questions to help you get started. She responds to email and call immediately. This is the place to go!!!!!

The Ethan Allen Hotel was a perfect place to have our wedding reception. From the day we met Eileen, we knew that we wanted to work with the EAH to plan our perfect wedding. She was so responsive, answered all of my questions months in advance of the wedding, and took care of EVERY detail on the day of the wedding including working with our other vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. My husband is from Wisconsin and we were having a lot of guests travel from far away, but The Ethan Allen conveniently allowed us to block rooms far in advance so that our guests could plan stay. So many guests thanked us for having the reception at the hotel since no transportation logistics were necessary. The cocktail hour was beautiful and the hotel has a great outdoor patio that is perfect for nice weather. There is a lot of natural light and beautiful french doors as you walk out into the courtyard. The cocktail hour was also customized for us with food that wasn't even on the set menu (my husband had his heart set on cheese curds!) and Eileen worked with us to get Wisconsin beer, too. The food was incredible. Everyone loved all of our appetizers and cheese/dip displays during cocktail hour so much that our only complaint is that an hour was hardly enough time to try all of the amazing food! The dinner was similarly amazing with a salad, pesto tortellini appetizer, steak, and a custom cake. Eileen made our menu perfect for us! It was such a weight off our shoulders to drop off all of our wedding decorations, champagne flutes, centerpieces, and wedding favors since we knew Eileen would take care of it. Showing up that day to the reception, everything looked perfect and so romantic. Everything was even more beautiful than I imagined. The chandeliers in the reception room were also so regal & our table settings were perfect and exactly what we wanted. Eileen and her staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed all night. HIGHLY recommend!

We were truly amazing at how beautiful and modern the Hotel was. The staff was prompt,attentive and eager to make sure all our needs were met during the cocktail hour/reception. Eileen made planning fun and easy and took care of everything for us. She even suprised us with little details during our wedding day to ensure our day was magical! I can't thank them enough for all their hard work to guarantee our day was perfect!!!

Eileen, Jennifer and the entire Ethan Allen staff were phenomenal to work with! My husband, mother and I randomly popped in to see the space with no intention of booking anything, but after meeting with Eileen we knew right away that she would be the perfect person to make our wedding exactly what we wanted. She was honest, thorough, and knowledgeable from the start. Both her and Jennifer were unbelievably attentive and thorough in every encounter. My husband and I knew nothing about the wedding reception process and are not naturally "party planners" so their knowledge and expertise was greatly appreciated!

Eileen encouraged us to make the space our own and think outside the box. On the day of, the event space could not have looked more magnificent! Ethan Allen helped us to transform the banquet hall space into an elegant, rustic wine bar feel. We, along with all our guests, were blown away! EVERY staff member of the hotel was lovely from start to finish! Thank you so much for making our day seamless and easy so that all we had to do was enjoy our guests and each other! The Ethan Allen Hotel was the first and only venue we looked at. It was love at first sight! We met Eileen, the Director of Catering, and she showed us around and made us feel so comfortable. It was like we had known her for years! Minutes after our first visit we knew this was the venue for us and we booked. Everything was amazing from the first time we stepped foot into the hotel all the way through leaving as a married couple. Eileen is the most amazing person! She was always available to help us out and was only an email or phone call away. She was so flexible and met with us several times throughout the wedding planning process. We would always go in with a list of questions and come out with all of our questions answered as well as several good ideas for our special day. I could not have asked for a better experience. The entire wedding including the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception were exactly as we had pictured it! Eileen took our vision and made it come to reality. I highly recommend The Ethan Allen Hotel for your wedding or any event! You will be in great hands!

The staff is incredible and rolls out the red carpet for every event they do. Always at your beck and call. If you want responsiveness and efficiency, book your event here. The food is delicious too. Eileen is always on her A game and makes sure you are always happy.

I don't even know where to start. Don't even bother looking at other venues. Eileen goes above and beyond her job description. She responded to my emails in lightening fast fashion. She eased any anxiety or worries. This was a stress free wedding and I am a type A personality, have anxiety, and have celiac disease. I was probably calmer on my wedding day than I am on a normal day!

As mentioned, I have celiac disease (as well as my mother and some family members and friends) and when I first met Eileen she assured me she was "crazy" when it came to allergies and it would be no problem to hold a 100% gluten free wedding. She was the only event coordinator I talked to that knew what eating gluten free actually meant and assured me it would be no problem to hold a 100% gluten free wedding. It was not possible in most other places I went to. They were not willing to take the time to research and find alternatives like Eileen did. When we came for our tasting she assured me about the precautions that Chef Claudio took in the kitchen and the alternative sauces he came up with especially for us. I'm ALWAYS nervous when eating out because I am extremely sensitive. At another meeting Eileen said she was looking up what alcohol was gluten free and then somehow came across that certain olive oils were not gluten free because they put it back in the same barrels that contain gluten....she LITERALLY put herself in a celiac's shoes. I felt so comfortable and confident eating there. I knew there was no way her or Chef Claudio was going to let me get sick. There is now a gluten free menu package! She even got us gluten free muffins at breakfast the next morning that were individually wrapped and there were other gluten free options like eggs, bacon, fruit etc.

Everything was perfect. I am honestly going to miss working with Eileen. It was better than I ever thought my wedding could be. I look forward to holding future events at the Ethan Allen.

If you are planning a wedding or any kind of celebration, you will be happy in choosing the Ethan Allen Hotel. From the beginning, everyone we dealt with was attentive and professional. They also took care of important details I didn't think to consider, since there was so much to do, which was a big help. Everything ran smoothly from the planning to the rehearsal to our wedding day. Beginning with our first meeting with Eileen, their amazing Catering Manager, to the front desk staff who made everyone feel welcome, to the chef who made sure that the food was delicious, to the catering staff, every part of the experience was positive. Everyone had a great time, including the bride (me) and groom, which I've heard doesn't always happen. Many thanks to everyone who helped make our special day the best it could be!

We needed a venue with hotel accommodations for traveling guests. We wound up getting accommodations a whole lot more! The services of every person I came in contact with over 16 months was exceptional. I can't say enough kind words about Eileen! She is AMAZING! A professional thru and thru. She listened and made suggestions to help make the day wonderful. An event of this magnitude took a lot of planning! You need to get along with the people in charge. That was so easy to do! There were some areas we needed help with selection and others that I was"set in stone" about. Eileen was kind and considerate to every question and concern. Then out of almost 400 guests we had 2 teeny complaints about checking in to hotel (they were so minor--barely count as "complaint"). Over 300 guests raved about the food, service and comfort! They were pleased with location and surprised with food. At first some questioned, "who selected the menu?" as it was not typical wedding food! Well...those guests and MANY more can't stop thanking us for allowing them to share in our special day!
They are thanking us!
Imagine that!
That alone should stand as feedback for this venue!

Eileen and her team at Ethan Allen Hotel ran my wedding on April 23, 2016. They did such an amazing job that I really don't know where to start. Eileen is absolutely the most amazing person to work with. From the very first time my husband and I met with her, we knew she was something special. Never once did I have any problems or concerns during the planning process. Eileen was always available for last minute meetings, always responded to emails quickly, and kept me sane through this process. She is extremely knowledgable and really values customer service. The day of the wedding, Eileen checked in with me first thing in the morning and was present all day to set up, run us through the day's events and cater to every need myself and my family had. She is truly exceptional at what she does. As for the venue itself, I knew when I walked in that my wedding had to be there. It is beautifully renovated, and the service is phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding and it was all possible thanks to Eileen and everyone at Ethan Allen!

Eileen is absolutely amazing and made my wife's dream wedding a reality. She works very hard to make sure everything is perfect and goes as planned. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is beautiful and they offer discounted room rates for any quests. The food is absolutely incredible and anyone will tell you to make sure you get the pork chop! The bridal suite was perfect to get ready in for the ladies as well. Bottom line is words can't describe how happy I am with how our wedding turned out and how thankful I am of my wife's and Eileen's hard work.

When we went to Ethan Allen Hotel to inquire about pricing, the minute I met Eileen, I knew we were having our wedding there. Eileen is experienced and professional, but when you meet her, you feel like you've known her for years. She is amazing!

Eileen helped us put together a Sunday Brunch wedding, which was great because we love brunch and Ethan Allen Hotel/Fairfields Restaurant is known for their brunch menu. It was delicious. We had about 100 people and everyone raved about the food, especially the waffle and omelette station. Everything looked beautiful, and we have been told over and over again about how perfect it was.

Everything we imagined for the day was, by far, exceeded by Eileen and the rest of the staff.

Thank you, over and over again. We will be hosting future events at Ethan Allen Hotel!

Eileen and her staff at Ethan Allen Hotel were wonderful. We enjoyed a beautiful evening celebrating our daughter's wedding. They were incredibly accommodating. We stayed at the hotel the night before and the night of the wedding. Beautiful, spacious and comfortable rooms. Eileen checked in with us often throughout the day and evening to ensure we had everything we needed.

Ethan Allen was such a beautiful place to have our wedding. Not only was Eileen AMAZING at helping plan our wedding, but they relieved all the stress a family has with planning. From our first meeting to the wedding day, the staff was nothing but kind and helpful. Picking the food was easy with Eileen's help and EVERYTHING on the menu was absolutely amazing. We had all of our guests raving about the food. The day of the wedding the whole staff made sure that I didn't have to worry about anything. They helped us every step of the way, even that we were able to have our wedding out doors even though it rained in the AM, and made sure myself and my groom were able to enjoy all the way through. At the end of the night, it was wonderful that the staff moved all our gifts to our room where we didn't have to do it. We also had a nice surprise in our room of a sandwich for each of us and a bottle of champagne . It was absolutely a wonderful experience and the grounds were so beautiful I recommend Ethan Allen to everyone.

We had our reception at the Ethan Allen hotel and it was amazing. Eileen was so helpful during the year-long planning process. She was wonderful to work with and we loved meeting with her. Larissa, our bridal attendant, was also fabulous. We were so happy to have her the day of the wedding! She was so helpful with everything . She made sure everything we needed was in our room, including some extra dessert from the Venetian dessert table! The room was decorated beautifully with some of our bouquets, centerpieces, and some of the decorations we brought. Our guests loved the venue and the hotel. None of us wanted to leave! We can't wait to come back for our one year anniversary :)

Eileen was AMAZING! We met with her multiple times and she was so accommodating. She responded promptly to every email I sent her. Larissa, the bridal attendant, was also absolutely amazing. She was so helpful the day of the wedding and my husband and I were so happy to have her there to help us. We had our reception in the grand ballroom and all of our guests seemed very happy at the wedding. It was set up beautifully and Eileen did everything we wanted and then some. Our room was set up so beautifully, including some bouquets and centerpieces. All of our guests who stayed there were so happy with their rooms and how comfortable their beds were! We are so happy we had our reception there!

Ethan Allen Hotel was truly incredible!!! We had our wedding here Oct 17 2015 and it was the best chocie i have ever made!!! Everything was fantasic and the staff went above and beyond for you. Eileen was truly amazing there is no other way to descibe her the patience she has for each bride and groom is impeccable she took the time to help us with eveyrthing she was prompt and responsive and made our wedding day everything we have ever wanted. I had many projects i made myself and special details that were done perfectly and i honestly couldnt have asked for anything better. Everyone was was truly fantatsic at ethan allen but i cannot stress enough how fabulous Eileen is. The food was absoultly fantatsic which was a huge deal for us considering my father is a culinary graduate and it was totally up to our standards and then some! Our cermeony took place there and went off perfectly everything was so organized and smooth. My parents got married at Ethan Allen 27 years ago and recommed it to us and we will continue reccomending it to everyone we know i would not have changed one thing about my wedding day!! I would like to take a moment to commend the hotel staff. My husband’s family had a terrible time traveling. They were supposed to arrive on the Thursday before our Saturday wedding, but United put them on a flight to DC instead of NY; then they were told they had to stay overnight and fly to NY Friday morning (so they booked four hotel rooms); then United cancelled the morning flight to NY. The party of 7 (including two elderly grandparents) drove through the night to CT so they would make it to our rehearsal dinner (they were charged for the hotel rooms in DC); they made it to the hotel around 7:30 on Friday. When we saw them, they made a point to tell us how wonderful the hotel staff was to them – they insisted that they would NOT be charged for ANY of the rooms that they had booked for the night before that they didn’t use! We also had to book a couple at the last minute for some other guests and they were so gracious and helpful about it all. I even forgot to grab our wedding cake out of our hotel fridge, so they got it for me and stored it in the restaurant fridge until we could go back and get it.

I did my own flowers and had a lot leftover... I told Eileen that they were going to be delivered with the rest of the flowers and that, if they wanted to, they could use the extra flowers to decorate however they wanted. You just don’t know how incredible Eileen is – she took all the extra flowers, TRIMMED THEM (!), put them in vases, and placed them all around the lobby for our cocktail hour. I never would have expected anyone to have made such an effort, but Eileen did. That is just the kind of person she is. She is amazing at what she does and the people she has working for her are just as awesome. When it came time to select our wedding cake, she told me that she had to go down to the bakery that they use and that she would bring some cake back for me – she brought us four cakes (not four slices – four WHOLE cakes!).

One of the main reasons we chose to book with Ethan Allen was that having everything at one location (ceremony, reception, and hotel), which made everything super convenient for our guests – and this was very important to us, since most fiancé’s family and friends were flying out from Wisconsin.
The ballroom was beautiful and so was the patio where we had our ceremony, but the reason you book with Ethan Allen is so that you can have Eileen as your coordinator – that’s it. I’m a VERY type-A kind of person. I did pretty much everything for our wedding (props, favors, flowers, favors, decorations – you name it); I had a very clear and distinct vision of what I wanted and exactly how I wanted it all executed. (Side note: I know I sound like a nightmare bridezilla, but I’m a teacher, so spent a TON of time writing down everything, taking pictures of setups, etc. so that it would be really easy for everyone to set up!) I cannot emphasize this enough – Eileen and her staff blew my expectations out of the water; our wedding was BEAUTIFUL. They went above and beyond with everything and it looked better than I imagined it would. I mentioned I had even done the flowers for my wedding… Well, I bought way too many and had a ton left over. I told Eileen and said that they were going to be delivered with the rest of the flowers and that, if they wanted to, they could use the extra flowers to decorate however they wanted. Eileen Whitney from the Ethan Allen was extremely helpful, professional with a great personality. We had our wedding reception there and it exceed all of our expectations. The hotel in the inside is beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious and the portions were pretty large. Everything went so smoothly and everyone there was very nice.

Amazing venue/reception! From the minute we walked in to view this place, we knew right away this was the place! Eileen was wonderful throughout the whole experience. Always a phone call or email away to answer any and every question. The day of the wedding she was there to help coordinate with all the other vendors and made sure everything was on point. Larissa (our bridal attendant) was awesome! She was always one step ahead of us & took care of us the entire night. Our guest raved about the cocktail hour and how delicious every thing was! I choose this venue immediately upon meeting Eileen, she was welcoming, knowledgable, passionate, warm, funny and overall everything you would want in a wedding planner. My wedding was the wedding every little girl dreams of and I thank Eileen for making all my dreams come true! From beginning to end the evening was seamless. Eileen had the night planned out to the T. I didn't once think about what the room looked like or if everything I brought was in it's place because Eileen was always two steps ahead of me! She was extremely responsive and made me feel like I was the only person that mattered that day/night, it was truly the best day of our lives. The staff were incredible and right on top of everything and the food was simply amazing! People keep coming up to me ranting and raving about how much fun our wedding was and how it was the best food they have had at a wedding! Eileen and the staff at the Ethan Allen were amazing. From our first meeting they were all so kind to me and my fiancé. Listened to all of our thoughts and requests. Eileen was always available to answer and questions we had and help with any concerns that came up during the planning process. As it was getting closer to our wedding she was always checking in with us to make sure we were OK and offering to help if we needed it. The day of our wedding my bridesmaids and I were given a room to get ready in so we would all be together and our hair and makeup team would have enough room to work. The staff was very attentive the whole day and always made sure the wedding party was taken care of. With Eileen and the rest of the staff at the Ethan Allen we were able to have our dream wedding. This venue has had beautiful renovations, provides delicious food, and in a very convenient location. However, the thing that really stands out and deserves the 5 star rating is Eileen and her staff. Eileen made being a bride fun, easy and worry free. She has a huge heart and gets pretty much whatever you need help with done. From ALL of her recommendations, to her can do attitude...without her I would have been lost & very stressed. All of my guests raved about the event. The food was out of this world. Eileen, thank you for genuinely caring, for making my experience as a bride memorable, and for creating the most lovely flower arrangements for all 20 of my reception tables!! My wedding would have not nearly been as special if it wasn't for you! Thanks to Eileen, Jennifer & everyone that made my wedding day SO much fun!!

We had our daughter (Kelly’s) wedding at Ethan Allen June 20, 2015. I can’t say enough!!! Everything was perfect!!! I can’t think of one thing that should have been done different!!! Eileen is a saint!!! Kelly did many DIY projects and was very concerned about getting them set up and presented properly. Between me and Kelly we sent Eileen endless emails – of which every one of them was answered promptly!!! Eileen is so energetic and excited for you it’s like her own daughter is getting married!! She puts so much love and attention into everything!!! Eileen listened to Kelly’s vision of what she wanted and Eileen brought it all to life!!! The ballroom and the cocktail hour area were elegant, the food was scrumptious. So many people have told us how wonderful and beautiful the wedding was. A few people have said this is one of those weddings that people talk about for a long time!!! We cannot thank you enough Eileen, for you truly made Kelly’s wedding the wedding of her dreams!!!

We originally booked our wedding at the Ethan Allen because it was within our budget. But, our wedding was far from a budget wedding - it was spectacular! The whole event was everything that we imagined. Our guests were raving about the food and there was plenty of it. Eileen and Jennifer executed the event to every last detail that I asked for (and there were many details to consider). They did it better than I could have done it myself. We would highly recommend this venue for anyone considering an event there. It was perfect for us because we also had our ceremony there so, once the guests arrived they really did not have to leave until the next morning.

Our wedding was the best day of our lives and it was in large part because of Eileen, Jennifer, and the fabulous staff at the Ethan Allen Hotel.

We initially found this venue through some online research and my familiarity to Danbury and the surrounding area. Upon our first meeting with Eileen—with whom we fell in love with almost instantaneously—we knew we needed to get married here!

With a year and a half of planning, Eileen was there every step of the way. She never once was bothered with my random emails of what I thought were silly questions and assured us that our wedding would be fantastic.

Eileen is the busiest person I’ve ever met, but we never felt like we were just another wedding. She handles each one professionally and like it’s the only wedding she has going on. We always felt appreciated, special, and cared for throughout our entire planning process.

Ethan Allen is not a wedding factory. I’ve been to venues where they pump out weddings every few hours and I think thats just awful. To know that as soon as the wedding is over you are shooed out so the next one can come in is the worst. But luckily, Ethan Allen is so much different than that.

We got married in April and were the only wedding of the day/night. The hotel is beautiful and inviting. The fireplace and piano gave our cocktail hour a nice at-home feel and we even put out framed photos of us and our parents throughout the space.

The food was incredible—from the cocktail hour to appetizers to dinner, our guests are still raving about it. We used Homestyle desserts for the cake and again, amazing. In fact, the compliments keep rolling in on how amazing their experience was at our wedding.

I could go on and on with this review about how spectacular Ethan Allen was for us, but with limited characters, I’ll leave it at this:

Our wedding at Ethan Allen was truly more beautiful and perfect than I ever could've imagined... talk about a fairytale!! From day 1, meeting with Eileen, we knew that this was going to be amazing. She was SO wonderful to work with and we truly felt blessed to have found someone so incredible to help us plan this very special day of our lives! We could NOT have been happier. The venue itself is beautiful, the bridal suite we stayed in was gorgeous. The food was wonderful. Everything about the wedding was picture perfect. So many people said our wedding was the best wedding they've ever been to. We had our ceremony there as well, which was perfect!! They have a gorgeous grand piano which we had someone play for our cocktail hour. Jennifer helped with the ceremony and rehearsal preparations and everything the day of the wedding and she was also WONDERFUL!!!!! The entire Ethan Allen team was amazing and went above and beyond to make our special day PERFECT! Thank you again Eileen & Jennifer!!

Found this venue from reviews on wedding wire and we are so glad we did. Loved working with Eileen and Jennifer was amazing on the wedding day- showing up magically with food, drinks, etc before we even knew we needed it!

The food was delicious and the venue was lovely. They only have one event at a time usually, I believe, which was nice.

Their prices were very reasonable compared with other Fairfield and even New Haven county venues, and we definitely felt like we were not sacrificing at all in terms of value.

We had our ceremony there as well and it was set up beautifully. We really appreciated the little surprise touches like the way they arranged the flower bouquets and left over flower girl petals on the sweetheart table, and the way they set up our bridal suite with so many nice surprises to welcome us after the ceremony.

My daughter was married at Ethan Allen in November.
It was an absolutely wonderful experience. We were only in Eileen's presence for a very short time when I knew we need not look any further.
She took care of everything -I mean everything.
My daughter arrived the night before the wedding having decided she wanted silver seat covers for all the chairs and bows(85 of them). When my husband and I arrived the following afternoon several hours before the wedding to cover the chairs and tie the bows - guess who had just finished putting them on all 85 chairs!!
Yes, Eileen came in early on her own time to do that!!!
She was able to provide the name of a FABULOUS DJ Sean Big Daddy -he was amazing !
Lovely cocktail hour, wonderful dinner and continuous dancing.
We were able to customize every aspect of our celebration with constant assistance
from Eileen, the chef and the rest of the staff.
She had everything covered and promptly returned my emails and calls throughout the process.
Jenn the bridal assistant was on hand before the wedding and throughout the evening for anything and everything.
The entire staff from the servers to the hotel desk to the Harold the security are welcoming to the point where you feel like you are at a small family inn -that is just how amazing this place is.
Eileen and her staff make you feel like you are the only one to ever get married there.
They are a wonderful group of people providing an amazing service in a lovely setting!
I can't really put into words the impact that Eileen had on our family and how she made this a most special evening and a joyous event.
It is hard to believe that this wonderful place is right here in our own back yard-so close and convenient too!

I can't believe it's almost been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about what an amazing time they had - how beautiful the hotel was, how delicious the food was, how friendly the staff was, etc. We are so happy that we chose the Ethan Allen for our venue - Eileen was the best - always responsive, helpful, patient with our million questions and ideas...she made sure that we had the wedding of our dreams no matter what and always made sure that we were happy with everything, no matter what 'crisis' came up. She was able to fix anything! I don't think I would have made it through all of the wedding planning craziness without her! The staff at the hotel did an amazing job - all of the food was delicious (especially the mashed potato bar!) and the ballroom looked incredible. Everyone says it was the best wedding they've ever been too! I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone!

What I will write about this venue will not be different than the other reviews: make yourself a favor and choose Ethan Allen for your wedding venue. My husband is from DC and I am from Montreal in Canada, so we needed a venue that was able to welcome both our families for the whole weekend. Eileen and her team were nothing but perfect. First of all, I never though I would get married: let’s just say I had no idea how I was supposed to organize a wedding, even a very small one. Once again Eileen came to the rescue and answered my many (many many) questions. As someone already wrote: Eileen is a goddess. Because we drove all the way from Canada with all our stuff (DJ gear, flowers, etc.) she let us borrow the bridal suite the evening before, which was a huge relief. The ceremony (outside) was beautifully decorated and perfectly orchestrated (once again thanks to Eileen). The sparkling wine for the bridal party after was also more than appreciated. For the reception, the staff did a great job about the decoration and executed everything perfectly. They even went the extra mile and used the exceeding flowers to create the most amazing flower arrangements! The food was perfect and the cake, beautiful and delicious. The package is worth every penny. Everyone had a lot of fun and we ended the evening at the bar of the hotel, where the bartender nicely let us use the jukebox and dance on Taylor Swift until 2am. It was truly a memorable night.

The best decision you can make for your wedding day, hands down, is to choose the Ethan Allen Hotel as your wedding venue. Eileen and her amazing team are superb- and this is coming from someone who is VERY particular and expects nothing but the best, especially for their wedding day. From helping to select the best wedding package that will suit your needs (and the prices for this, by the way, are phenomenal for what it includes), to suggestions with any wedding questions at all along the way, to an impeccably put together reception, I can assure you that choosing the Ethan Allen Hotel is your best choice. Eileen was incredibly helpful every step of the way, and always available by phone or email even for the smallest of questions. The service, food, reception & cocktail hour venues, and the hotel rooms themselves are all top of the line. I consider myself quite difficult to please, but even a few guests who are wine, food & travel experts are still raving about the Ethan Allen.

Just a few additional notes as to why this venue was fantastic- the guidance and help Eileen provides is priceless. The questions and sometimes small obstacles along the way are nothing for her-her experience and personality are fantastic assets in helping you navigate anything that comes your way. Packages come in all different price ranges and typically include the cake, which was decorated phenomenally and let me tell you- delicious as well (everyone is still raving about this also). The hotel also has Fairfields Restaurant and bar attached in the lobby, which also has superb food and was not only a perfect place for our rehearsal dinner the night before, but also perfect for everyone who wanted to still hang out after the reception for a few drinks and fun to keep the night going. The majority of our guests stayed the night, and the next morning we hosted a brunch- let me tell you, top notch again. Truly, this venue was fantastic & our best decision.

My daughter's wedding was at The Ethan Allen Hotel on October 25th, 2014 and everything was just perfect! Most of us stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and it was a great weekend including the beautiful New England Fall weather! The rooms were so comfortable and beautifully decorated.

We can't say enough about the entire staff at Ethan Allen Hotel especially Eileen Whitney, the wedding coordinator. She was amazing in helping us with all the plans for the wedding and was so helpful in every way. She is so creative and talented and we really enjoyed working with her. We also owe thanks to Jeffrey, beverage and food manager, Tom, friendly bartender in lounge, Jennifer, bridal assistant, and the front desk as well, including Joe and Clint, who made sure our rooms were all in order and we had a lot of them!

The food at the cocktail hour was delicious and plentiful and several guests at the wedding stated this to us. There was a great variety and the mashed potato bar got rave reviews by all! The wedding dinner was also top notch, the salad, soup and entrees were enjoyed by everyone and the cake, as I was told many times, was the best wedding cake anyone has ever had.

I am still getting e-mails, notes and phone calls from our family and friends saying how much fun the wedding was, how great the food was and how much they enjoyed their weekend at The Ethan Allen Hotel. Thank you, everyone for making Emily and Mike's wedding so perfect! It was truly their dream wedding!

From the moment we entered the lobby and met Eileen, we felt right at home. After visiting numerous "wedding factories" we fell in love with the true feeling of comfort, luxury and elegance at Ethan Allen. It is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is genuinely dedicated to each and everyone one that walks in, making the most important day of your life (our lives) and the months leading up to it, incredible. Not just for me as the bride, and groom, but for our guests too! It was a magical day, and Eileen was there every step of the way making it all possible, and ensuring we would remember this day forever! Down to making sure we saw the room before the guests, to take it all in, take photos, and even more importantly, EAT AND ENJOY during the PARTY! It was more than I could have ever dreamed of! And the food, OMG, over the top and absolutely delicious! Eileen even added a "special food surprise" for my husband <3. Our family and friends are raving about it! The service provided by Eileen and of course Jeffrey, Joseph, Jennifer and all the staff was beyond exceptional! It could not have been possible without Eileen! Ethan Allen Hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The food, service and overall experience was beyond expectation. Our wedding was PERFECT, down to every detail! However, none of this could have been possible without Eileen. She was the reason our wedding was so incredible, down to every detail - ensuring not only did our guests have an unforgettable time, but also that myself and my groom enjoyed every minute of our wedding. Yes, Ethan Allen can be a little pricey HOWEVER, it is completely worth it, especially to have Eileen in your corner. She was even there when I had a Bride Panic Moment, and worked it through with me. And, she made my family feel welcomed in everything we did. During our weekend Eileen was managing more than three weddings but I would have never known because she was there whenever I needed her. And Jennifer, our bridal attendant, made sure we had everything we needed. Book here and you will not regret it.

I don't even know where to begin describing how amazing the Ethan Allen is for a venue. The hotel is recently renovated so everything is modern, clean, and bright - perfect for a classy reception without the price tag of NYC. The cocktail hour was fabulous. Plenty of comfortable seating for the older generation and plenty of space for the rest of our guests to mingle with others. We had beautiful weather so some of our guests enjoyed their cocktails outside on the patio. The staff were amazing during the cocktail hour getting passed hors d'oeuvres around to everyone quickly without being in the way. As the married couple, we also had an attendant assigned to us for the night to make sure we had food and drink readily available to us (Thanks, Jennifer!).
We got a sneak peek of the ballroom just before the cocktail hour ended. We had uplighting around the sides of the room. But the chandeliers were really what made the ballroom so magical. They are GORGEOUS and provided just the right amount of lighting and ambience. Our guests raved about the food. Eileen was so accommodating with requests and gave us some great ideas for the appetizer and entree options. I'm glad I took her advice because the food from start to finish was delicious. The majority of our guests were up on the dance floor most of the night. The dance floor was BIG which was exactly what we needed for the 152 people we had. This made it easy for me to move from group to group between songs so I got to spend time with all my guests on the dance floor.
I'm so glad I held my reception at a hotel for the convenience factor, making it easy and safe for our guests. Our reception ended at 10:30 and soon thereafter everyone was gathering in the hotel lobby bar to keep the party going. There was even a DJ and a small dance floor in the bar! If you're looking for a stress-free experience planning your event and a stress-free time actually enjoying your reception, look no further than this hotel!

I had the best experience with Eileen Whitney, Jennifer, Joseph, Irma and the rest of staff at the Hotel while planning my daughter's wedding. We also had brunch the day after the wedding at the Hotel. Eileen was so helpful with the preparations of the event and kept in constant contact with me every step of the way. The chef was extremely flexible with the menu selected and the food presentation was too beautiful to eat. But once we did, it was delicious. The little extra touches to the bridal suite were over the top. Many of our venders were suggested by Eileen and we were extremely pleased with their service. I would have another event at the Ethan Allen Hotel in a heartbeat.

Chris and I were constantly reminded that when the actual day came there would be things that would go wrong out of our control and not to stress. We were so happy as our day kept unfolding that nothing was going wrong. We were treated so well, every last detail was in order and exactly as we imagined it. The food was delicious and somehow in all the rush, Chris and I got to eat all of our courses, dance the night away, and enjoy our friends and family. A wedding is really a very important and often chaotic time in a couple’s life, however, Eileen helped us to organize our entire wedding seamlessly. I have lived in Danbury my entire life and never thought to look at the Ethan Allen for my wedding.

A friend encouraged me to look anyway and I am so happy that we did. Long gone are the floral curtains, carpets and hotel you know from the 80's. I walked into a totally renovated and refreshed hotel, with a modern, relaxing, and welcoming feel. Wow!

And then I met Eileen. And then I knew this was the place where I was going to have my wedding.

Eileen's knowledge and experience in the catering, events and wedding industries are like no other. She will steer you in the right direction and can confidently tell you what will and will not work. The flexibility the hotel offered for customizing my menu was unparalleled to the other venues I had considered. Eileen, Chef Claudio and I sat together and created the most amazing dinner/buffet stations.

Our bridal suite, the extra touches from the hotel, and our bridal attendant made our day even more special. We didn't have to worry about a thing - everything was taken care of for us. From our cake top appearing in our fridge, a surprise champagne delivery to our room, to any of our last minute requests being managed.

The entire evening flowed effortlessly (as seen by our guests, with the staff making this happen in the background). The evening was flawless.

I am still receiving high praises (two weeks after the event) on how great the food was, the presence and service of the entire staff (waiters, servers, front desk, etc.) and our guests overall experience.

Kudos to you Eileen and the entire team - we have nothing but fantastic memories of the most special day of our lives.

Eileen was amazing to plan my wedding with. She went out of her way to make sure every detail was covered, including shopping for room decorations with me on a Sunday!!!

On the day of the wedding Jennifer was spot on! She waited on the wedding party hand and foot making sure everyone's needs we're taken care of (including finding a safety pin for my dress).

Ethan Allen as well as all the staff were amazing!! Not only was the venue beautiful within itself but the set up for both cocktail and the reception ran so smoothly and was extremely organized for all of our guests! The food was delicious and the service/staff was unbelievable! Eileen and her team were so accomodating to us as well as friendly and demonstrated exceptional communication with us and our families throughout the entire planning process! 5 star rating all around and if scoring higher was a possibility we would score to infinity!! From the moment I saw Ethan Allen, I knew this was the perfect place for our wedding reception. My husband and I first met Eileen, the banquet/events manager, about a year before our wedding. I can't say enough about Eileen. It would take all day!

We told ourselves from the very beginning after meeting Eileen that having our wedding at the The Ethan Allen was without a doubt the best decision we have collectively made (aside from agreeing to marry each other of course!) She is extremely knowledgeable, warm, friendly and accommodating. The months and days leading up to the wedding, Eileen was always available to answer any questions I had (and there were many) and offer her expertise advice. She has proven to be a huge life saver!! We felt rest assured and confident that the biggest day of our lives was in good hands and we were completely right.

The day of the wedding was incredible. January 10, 2014 was the best day of our lives thanks unreservedly to Eileen and the team at the Ethan Allen. Our bridal attendant, Jennifer, was always there to help me look my best, grab anything I needed and help with whatever was needed. She was awesome! The entire staff at Ethan Allen were so warm and friendly and are truly amazing and professional people. The food was off the charts!! My guests are still telling us how fabulous the food was and that the huge selection was incredible. My husband and I can't say enough on how happy and pleased we were with everything. We could not have dreamed up of a better experience. We strongly recommend The Ethan Allen for your special event. We are sure you will be as happy as we were.

We had our wedding at The Ethan Allen Hotel this past summer an we found the venue was fantastic! Our coordinator at the hotel was Eileen Whitley. To say that Eileen was a big help is the understatement of the century. She was absolutely fantastic and truly made us feel that our wedding was the most important thing on her plate (I am sure it was not)! She over saw every single detail and gave my wife the wedding of her dreams in only 6 weeks!!! YES, I said 6 weeks!!!! My wife and I had been engaged and planning a beach wedding for about 1.5 years when we found out that we were expecting our first child (who was actually born yesterday....I'm a bit late with this review!). While we were overjoyed with this new news, it definitely cut our time line down quite a bit if my wife was going to fit in her beautiful new wedding dress. We had all but given up on our perfect "Big Day" when we met Eileen. Not only did she throw us a wedding for the history books, but she did it in just 6 weeks and for a fraction of the cost!!!! The ball room was AMAZING, the food was delicious and the service was on point! We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate the beginning of this exciting new chapter of our lives together!!!
