  Speechless!

  There is truly nobody better than Kim & her team at A Cottage Gardener. When I tell you I was absolutely FLOORED with my floral installations, bouquet, and all of it! Kim nailed my vision and everyone was so impressed with the florals. When I walked into my reception room, I started crying because of just how beautiful everything was! Speechless. Her attention to detail and artistic vision is something I will cherish about my wedding forever. If I could, I would have Kim do the florals in every event space I'll ever enter ever again, haha. I wish I could bottle up the feeling that her designs gave me. Truly MAGIC!!!!! My wedding was only last night and we've received countless compliments on our stunning florals. I cannot wait to get my bouquet pressed & have it forever! Do NOT hesitate to hire Kim & her team for your wedding, she is worth every penny & then some! And I can promise your expectations will be exceeded. Thank you, Kim!!!

  Loved working with Kim - A Cottage Gardener

  Like many couples, our wedding was delayed a handful of times due to the pandemic. Kim Bakke - A Cottage Gardener and our Venue were the only two vendors that we were able to hold onto throughout our whole wedding planning process due to the devastating affects the pandemic had on the wedding industry during those few years. Kim knew my vision right away (moody Pacific Northwest vibes), and worked with my husband and I to bring it to life despite Paul and I needing to work within a limited budget. Kim's creativity is truly spectacular; floral design is just a part of her it feels like, and she's so passionate and talented. At one point, we even considered eloping and Kim insisted that if we did do that she wanted to make my bouquet for me. How many wedding vendors do you know that are that personally invested in your day? She truly cares about each of her couples. I even contacted Kim more than once to ask her opinion on decor unrelated to florals, and she was happy to share with me her expertise. I'm not a super sappy person, but on our wedding day, when Kim handed me my bouquet I actually got fairly emotional. She works magic, and I can't recommend her enough.

  Simply breathtaking

  I could not have asked for a better artist to create our wedding florals than Kim and the Cottage Gardener team. She is truly an expert in her craft, and knew all the right questions to ask to understand and execute our vision perfectly. She was incredibly flexible, and very mindful of budget, which was very important to us.
  
  When our wedding day finally arrived, the florals were breathtaking! We got so many compliments from guests, and I could not stop staring at all of the gorgeous arrangements. Our wedding day was truly a fairytale, and A Cottage Gardener made sure it looked like one!

  Beautiful and thinks big

  Kim is so talented - she knows florals in and out and is truly an artist. If you're looking for someone to slap together simple centerpieces and stick them on your table because you're not into florals.... you don't need Kim. If you love what florals can do to a space and are delighted by the idea of working with someone with great vision, who will make any of your ideas WAY better, then you need Kim! Transparently, I did increase my florals budget in order to execute on some of the ideas we discussed but I knew they were going to transform the space and they absolutely did. I also trusted her with all candles so she could bring it all to life holistically and it was absolutely magical.

  Kim is so talented - she knows florals in and out and is truly an artist.   Excellent and Talented Florist

  As an event planner, I just worked with Kim and her team on a particularly detailed wedding. Not only was her work beautiful, she was very easy to work with. Even under pressure, she kept a smile on her face and had a great attitude. She made the space look beautiful!

  There is no one better.

  Kim is a true artist. I gave her my inspirations and then let her create. The florals were beyond expectation. Her team was amazing, they are a dream. I can’t recommend her more highly.

  Kim is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Her talent is stunning and without a doubt, if you have her as your florist, your florals will make your wedding day. While my husband and I were married in a garden setting, I knew I needed even more flowers and that they would be the most important element. To say Kim understood my vision and delivered is an understatement. Looking at each photo from the day, my friends and family all comment on how different and stunning they were. As a COVID bride, I had to delay my wedding from Sept to July, and going from one season to another completely derailed my original vision. Kim was SO easy to work with and really stepped in to put me at ease with ideas and color schemes and what she came up with truly made my wedding day even more incredible. I can not say enough good things about Kim and her team and how warm , easy going, and incredibly talented they are. If you chose Kim, she will make all your dreams come true!

  Truly Perfect

  Kim was my absolute most favorite part of our wedding. She was incredible! The vision she brought to our day absolutely brought the rooms to life, and perfectly encapsulated our wedding "vibe". A Cottage Gardener is who you go to for your wedding when you want every detail handled for flowers and candles. Kim communicated with us several times throughout the year, was amazing when we thought we may need a backup date and very flexible, and finally, HIGHLY knowledgable about her craft. She did not overpromise, she overdelivered in every aspect. We truly wish we could live in a field of Kim's flowers for the rest of our lives.

  It was really important to me to find a florist who's vision I could trust since I don't know much about flowers. Although I am quite sure I did a horrible job explaining it, Kim completely understood the vibe I was going for and had some wonderful ideas about how to make the different elements of our wedding design feel cohesive. When we had to postpone our original wedding plans due to COVID-19 pandemic, Kim was so supportive and helpful. Then, when we decided to reimagine our wedding day with a smaller ceremony Kim made it so beautiful! She was so flexible as our plans kept changing (trying to figure out how to celebrate love during a pandemic can be tricky!). Our flowers were so amazing I didn't want to send them away to be preserved! Kim was a joy to work with and she is so wonderful at what she does, I cannot recommend A Cottage Gardener enough!

  Secret Garden Dreams Come True

  Hiring Kimberly Bakke and her staff at A Cottage Gardener was the best choice we made for these reasons:
  
  1) Excellent Value- Kim worked with us on our budget, and was not afraid to tell us what options were most important and matched what we wanted, and which ones were less necessary and could be cut to save money. She would reuse items if they could be repurposed for later events during our wedding, which we really appreciated because she could have easily insisted we purchase separate items for each event.
  
  2) Dedication to clients- To get the best flowers available, Kim went all the way to New York City to shop at premier flower markets. It was there that she found these unique gray flowers that really added a nice nuance to our color palette. what was most touching was how enthusiastic Kim was about trying new and unfamiliar things. We asked her to decorate a mandap for an Assamese Indian wedding, which we planned by looking at photos. We asked for a traditional floral thyme crown for me, which she decided to mix with rosemary for structural stability. We also asked for red and white flower garlands for the Hindu ceremony, and she learned how to make them by speaking with another florist at the New York City flower markets. These gestures meant so much to us!

  Thank God for Kim! I needed to hire someone that I could explain my vibe for the wedding to and have them run with it. I wanted someone who's vision I could trust and they could really just take over and do their thing (I really don't know what i'm doing when it comes to flowers!)-- and Kim was absolutely perfect in every single way. She is so gifted, it's truly amazing. I really didn't know how to explain what I wanted and Kim just understand me and the vibe I was looking for without me really even saying it. I completly trusted her vision and knew I would love absolutely anything she created. What she made for us was truly beyond my wildest imagination. Our reception was breath taking and I still have people talking to me about how beautiful, playful, elegent and whimsical (all rolled into one!) everything was. She absolutely nailed the vintage look I was going for with both my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets. Beyond all of this---Kim was an absolute pleasure to work with and has made us feel like her friends, rather than just a client, throughout the entire process. My parents were absolutely enamored by what she created and we could not be more thrilled that she will be the florist for my sister's wedding in May. My husband and I are also just excited that we get to hang out with her again too!!

  I cannot say enough good things about working with Kim! I hired her to be the day-of-planner and decorator at my wedding and she absolutely blew me away! My husband and I did a lot of DIY projects, but Kim incorporated everything beautifully and ensured that nothing felt DIY about our wedding. From our first meeting, she was always so fun to talk to and really "got" the design and feel I wanted. Kim and her team were so accommodating and helped to make my wedding day stress-free and fun. Kim- thank you so much for everything you did! I still have guests gushing about how it was one of, if not the most, beautiful weddings they have ever attended!

From our first meeting, she was always so fun to talk to and really "got" the design and feel I wanted. Kim and her team were so accommodating and helped to make my wedding day stress-free and fun.   Wow! Kim is AMAZING! She made our wedding so beautiful and whimsical. It was better then I could have ever imagined. I am still receiving so many compliments on how beautiful our wedding was; and that was mostly due to Kim! Our venue was beautiful on its own, but required a lot of creativity to kind of bring it to life and make it the best it could be. Kim certainly did not disappoint, and I will never forget the way she made the entire space feel; and the impact she had on our special day! She is truly the best!

  Kim is a true artist...everything she touches is golden. She turned our old barn into a beautiful, magical,enchanted forest, exactly as she and my daughter and son in law had dreamed it to be. To say it was beautiful is an understatement, it was absolutely BREATHTAKING!!!! I am still in awe of her talent and creative genius to work magic with lights and candles and all kinds of branches and vines and trees and stumps into a work of art ... And the flowers were just exquisite...and so whimsically fitting for the bride and the occasion. I still get goosebumps and tears when I think of the day and the beauty. She works hard to really create something special for each wedding and bride. No cookie cutter creations here... every wedding I've been to that Kim has worked her magic at has been beautiful, and also a creative reflection of that special couple and their special day. I am always in awe of her ability to do that.
