My brother and sister in law held their reception at the Appel Inn a few years ago and I always remembered how beautiful the space was, so it only seemed fitting to have my reception there as well. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Laurie is absolutely amazing!!! Filled with ideas she takes what you want and makes it happen. All my guests were amazed with the tablescapes that Laurie created. The venue itself is beautiful and was perfect for my small wedding party of 65. I can not be more happy with the results and will remember it always!

The Appel Inn was such an amazing place to have my wedding. You get everything in one place - outside for photos you have the barn, creek, flowers, trees, land, and deck. Inside for the reception is perfect. The set up is amazing because guests all feel important and no one feels shoved in the back of the room because it is in a circle. The dance floor is in the middle which makes the first dance easy for everyone to see. The fireplace is beautiful, the ceilings are high and make the space feel so tall big. Perfect size for my 120 person wedding. We had the cocktail hour outside with a band and had the DJ inside for the rest of the night. The owner Laurie was amazing. She has strong opinions but she knows what she is doing. Listen to her suggestions and if you feel strongly about something she will help make it a reality. She knows what works and what doesnt work because it is her space and she has been doing it for so long.

The space is perfect. You get the rustic barn feel with the clean elegance of a new venue. I would highly recommend it.

The Best Western has a free shuttle. The desmond charges for a shuttle but it was good to have a nicer hotel for people to stay at while sitll having the transportation for them. It worked out perfectly.

Laurie helped me with my honeymoon too. She has been to so many of the Sandals resorts and has stayed there, eaten there, hung out there, etc. So she knows from the point of view of a travel agent AND a guest. Use her for her knowledge and photos!!!

The Appel Inn was the perfect location for our fall reception. We fell in love with the beauty of their large space. You are able to choose from 4 caterer's which was a nice option! The day of the wedding, Laurie (the owner) was flawless. She took care of everything so we did not notice any problems. She even fixed my bustle on my dress without asking her! She was extremely attentive on our day! Her and her husband are very friendly and welcoming. She was very helpful and quick to respond with her email throughout the planning period. Although Laurie has her own opinions, which sometimes did not match ours, she was and is always concerned about the well being of your big day and making sure that you have a memorable wedding celebration! She made our day very special. On top of that, we had Laurie decorate our fireplace mantel, behind our sweetheart table and it was beautiful. She allowed us to bring in our own decorations and we were able to rent some from her. She had many options and ideas for us. In the end, I would recommend the Appel Inn to any couple looking for that unique reception site!

The Appel Inn was the most wonderful venue to have our wedding. The ceremony spot and the gathering space for the reception were so incredibly BEAUTIFUL, it was truely a dream come true. Along with all of that the owner of The Appel Inn, Laurie was 100% attentive from the very first day. Any questions I emailed to her were answered within minutes! When you book your wedding with The Appel Inn Laurie is there to make suggestions about ANYTHING you need, from the florist, music, photography, hotels, transportaion, bakery, and more! They also provided a private room for me and my bridal party to get ready before the ceremony. There are so many other details that made our wedding so perfect, I can't even explain how happy I was with our experience at The Appel Inn. I highly highly recommend!!!

On our wedding day were felt like Star studded celebrities with media coverage, (literally). Laurie and her family is just the sweetest most dedicated people on earth. I like the fact that the venue focuses only on one couple at a time. We were truly blessed on our wedding day and it is all owed to The Appel Inn. Laurie and Gerd from the Appel Inn were wonderful. We've spent over a year planning with them, and they have been more than helpful. They were very easy to contact- in fact Laurie was known for responding to emails around midnight! They had great recommendations for vendors, some of which we used. They provided great staff for dealing with parking. And everything went smoothly. I didn't hear of any problems at all. The cost was very affordable.

I highly recommend the Appel Inn for other receptions. :)

The Appel Inn is an absolutely beautiful venue. I recommend having a plan in mind for what you want and sticking with it throughout the process.

BEAUTIFUL space for a reception! Deck, stream outside, lovely indoor banquet facility with fireplace and cathedral ceilings. BUT, 1- it is a smaller space that requires guest list to stay around 150 guests, 2- owner balked at the choice of band which became a constant focus/issue 3 - owner was rude to guests, and the Mother of the Groom on my WEDDING DAY! Unacceptable! Will not recommmend despite the lovely space!

The Appel Inn is such a gorgeous space! It is a little on the pricey side, but well worth it. Laurie and Gard are great to work with and think of any and everything and help the day run smoothly.
