Delicious and beautiful

Sweet Maria’s made my small 8 inch wedding cake for a VERY reasonable price (compared to other vendors) and it is literally the most amazing cake I’ve ever eaten. I’m so excited that I have leftovers (white cake with PB mousse) & plan to order the same in cupcakes for our anniversary. Or when I run out of leftovers. Highly recommend! (Also looked beautiful!)

Most amazing cakes!

Kellie was great from day 1. She was so helpful in helping choose our wedding cakes and cupcakes. She completely nailed our vision and our cupcake tower looked amazing. All of our cupcakes were gone by the end of the night. Highly recommend.

Best Cupcakes Out There!

My husband and I came across this bakery at food event for our venue. We tried some samples of cake and were instantly hooked! It turned out they are in Waterbury, the town my mother grew up in, so it made things extra special. We went out for our cake tasting and loved so many of the flavors. It was such a fun experience. We worked with Kellie, who was awesome. If there was a flavor of cupcake we wanted to try besides the ones on our plate she would run off and get it for us. There was one that wasn't available that day and she said we could come back anytime to try it. We decided on four different cupcake flavors, plus a small cake for us to cut. People went crazy for them at our wedding. One of my friends is a big baker and said the orange creamsicle cupcake was the best cupcake she has ever had. The raspberry champagne, my favorite, was a huge hit too. My mom, who doesn't even like chocolate and peanut butter, said that cupcake was delicious too! You can't go wrong with Sweet Maria's. We have gone back several times now to get more. They are so delicious!

Sweet Maria's is like non-other. We were recommended to go here for our cake and they did not fail! Great service from choosing flavors and colors. They are so creative in their designs. Everything was flawless! Highly recommended and our wedding guest raved about the flavor and design!

I highly recommend Sweet Maria’s. The cake/cupcakes for my wedding were beautiful and delicious! They knew exactly what I wanted and made sure the cakes were perfect. She was always available for any questions I had. Everyone complimented how delicious the cupcakes were. We can’t wait to eat our cake topper a year from now!

I highly recommend Sweet Maria's! Maria was wonderful to work with and absolutely nailed the wedding cake vision I was going for. Her prices were reasonable, the cake was DELICIOUS and decorating job was pristine, and no issues with transporting it to my wedding venue.
I would definitely pick Sweet Maria's to do all my special event baked goods in the future.

We wanted a "cake buffet" of seven different cakes and cake flavors, and Maria and her team did an AMAZING job!

My wife is a baker and takes cake VERY seriously. She was a very demanding customer, and Maria delivered. The cakes all tasted fantastic, and Maria was great about incorporating our ideas and customizing the cakes. We even added a few flavors that we did not taste at the last minute on Maria's suggestion and they lived up to her billing. Beyond this, Maria's cakes were very affordable. People thought we spent multiple times what we actually spent on cake.

One other thing for the guys (like me): GO TO THE CAKE TASTING. It's the best part of wedding planning, and Maria's tasting is awesome. The only downside was that it was so good we did not taste any more bakeries after Maria's!

Best tasting cake ever! Not too sweet... perfect! I froze some of my cake and I am not sure we will have any for our 1 year wedding anniversary... I will go back for more and will share it with everyone I know.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and the desserts for our guests were delicious she exceeded our expectations not a single dessert was left..thank you for helping make our wedding the icing on the cake :)

The cake was gorgeous. It really surpassed what I thought it would look like. Sweet Marias did a great job with the design and the taste was incredible. Working with Sweet Marias was a pleasure. They were very easy to work with and took control of the delivering.

Best cupcakes/cake hands down. Tasted and looked amazing. Also was able to get gluten free for my gluten free family members.

Would not have trusted my cake to anyone else. It came out better than I could have expected and of course tasted delicious. Our guests were delighted.

I cannot say enough about this business. We ordered cupcakes for our guests and a small 6" round for our cake cutting. We taste tested 3 places before finding this place, and our search stopped when we found this place. It's got an amazing reputation to begin with, and now I understand why! Their cupcakes are delicious, and the bakery is clean and welcoming. Maria worked with us to help design the cake and the look of the different flavors. She already knew our venue, she did all the set up at the venue and even provided the cupcake stand with no charge! She even left boxes for us to pack any extras to take home. She was super sweet, and when she heard that my mother had a gluten intolerance she offered to make her gluten free cupcakes in any flavor my mother wanted. My mother reported that she could not tell they had no gluten. We were very impressed with this vendor overall, and would recommend Sweet Maria's to anyone!

Our cake looked amazing. Unfortunately, we missed when the cake was served, but I heard it was wonderful and the reason I chose Sweet Maria's is their cake stood above the rest at a bridal show I was at in taste and moisture.

Sweet Maria's cake was wonderful, all my guest was talking about how moist and good the cake was. I also love the way they decorate and set up the cake. I just want to say thank you and i would deffinitely recommend them to anyone who is having a wedding.

This was the absolute best cake ever! We had white cake with raspberry mousse filling and buttercream frosting. The cake looked just like the photo we showed them! YUM!

We knew we wanted Sweet Maria's to do our cake since we love their cakes. They executed a perfect naked cake for us and it was delicious. Everyone complimented how yummy the cake was. They also were awesome at giving us options are keeping our cost down.

We are so thrilled we found Sweet Maria's! She made the most gorgeous cake and dessert buffet for my wedding and worked with me every step of the way to perfect it - from testing out scores of flavors to showing me a palette of frosting colors to sketching out every detail of the design, always working around our preferences and the cake stands we had collected. She's friendly, down to earth and a genius in the kitchen - the cakes were gorgeous AND delicious and guests were totally wowed by the cake buffet concept. We also found that having a buffet of smaller cakes not only allowed guests to test a wide variety of flavors but was actually probably cheaper than having one giant tiered cakes, so the concept is budget friendly! I'd recommend Sweet Maria's to anyone -- we'll definitely be back for any excuse we can think of for cake! One note to brides: she was a teeny bit hard to get a hold of when we first reached out to her during the busy holiday season, so if for some reason your email falls through the cracks, try again. She's wonderful to work with and very hands-on with her business.

Awesome experience with Sweet Maria's. The cake testing appointment was tons of fun and all of the flavors were tasty - it made it very difficult to narrow down what we wanted!!! We were able to work with cake specialist to design our special cake, and it came out PERFECT on our wedding day. We showed up to the venue on our special day and the cake was there waiting for us as perfect as could be. Everyone said it was so delicious. Thank you for everything!!!!

I grew up having Sweet Maria's cakes every year for my birthday and was perfectly happy and nostalgic over choosing them to make our wedding cake. The cake itself was delicious, and looked exactly how I had hoped the night of the wedding. The ONLY thing I would change (and I'm not even sure if this is a change because I really had not asked) would be to add more possible cake flavors to the wedding cake list.
