I gave Sunya a few inspo pictures and two words 1) colorful and 2) tropical. This might seem like pretty straightforward direction for a Maui-based florist, but when I say she made my tropical rainforest dreams come true I am not exaggerating. Not only was every single flower absolutely perfect, but it was clear that each was placed with care. She included me in the creative process and we had a number of lovely conversations, each making me more excited for our big day. My bouquet was STUNNING and when I walked into the reception space I had the biggest smile on my face. She also executed the most amazing floral arrangement that acted as our "altar" and it was the ethereal centerpiece of my dreams for our ceremony. She was an essential part of our wedding and I'll be visiting her when we're back on the island. -

Sunya’s work was BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I wanted for my wedding and so much more! She followed what I was wanting to a T. Her arrangements were SO much bigger than we originally appreciated and it made our venue look incredible. My bouquet was to die for. We continue to get so many compliments on our flowers and colors thanks to Sunya. I felt like a queen. Thank you, thank you!!! -

I had the pleasure of meeting her in person a couple of months before my wedding, but I don't even think it would have been necessary because her communication was great. I was able to send her pictures of the type of florals I was looking for, and she matched what I was looking for perfectly. Sunya was also very cognizant of the fact that I wanted to repurpose my bridesmaid bouquets for the reception, and the final product turned out just as a I was hoping for (see attached picture). Everything she created was perfect, and I am so glad I went with her to create the perfect look for my wedding day. I would recommend Sunya 100%!

Chelsea Sent on 07/08/2018Planning a wedding from afar is not always easy! Due to our busy schedules we had to book the venue and all vendors site unseen. Everyone who knows me, knows I LOVE flowers so picking a florist who could execute clean and modern designs was a priority on my list. I had two proposals from other top florists in Hawaii that I just wasn’t comfortable with and had to continue my search. I took to the power of social media and found Sunya’s Flowers on Instagram. Her designs had that modern style that I was looking for. After loving her written proposal, she scheduled a phone consultation with me to truly dissect the design. I was immediately put at ease and she made me even more excited for our wedding.
Sunya also made sure to warn me about the wind at our Venue and executed our wedding beautifully with that in mind. It’s not always about the vendors with the big flashy websites. Find one who understands you, is genuine, and truly able to give you what you’re looking for.
Mahalo Nui Loa Sunya! You brought our exact vision to reality!

We wished that we could have taken them all home with us but unfortunately had to leave them at the venue after our wedding.
The flowers look incredible in our photos but even more so on the day.
Would highly recommend Sunyas Flowers & Plants to anyone looking for an amazing florist in Maui. -

Samantha Sent on 04/25/2014Sunya was AMAZING!! She was truly fantastic! Since we were married on Maui and live in CA, I was not able to personally meet with Sunya before the wedding. However, we communicated via email, sending pictures and ideas back and forth for months before the wedding. When the flowers were delivered to the resort, I could not have been more pleased! She nailed it!! Honestly, I could not have pictured a more beautiful bouquet in my mind, she exceeded my expectations, and then some! I would recommend her to anyone getting married on Maui! -
User1369604 Sent on 10/08/2013My destination wedding was on the small side but I did have floral needs and had to plan everything from 6,000 miles away. This required putting a lot of trust in my vendors. Sunya was recommended to me and I was beyond thrilled with her service and her pricing. She designed five leis, 2 long orchid aisle runners, 3 bouquets, a boutonniere, flowers for the wedding cake and bridesmaids/bridal hair, and table decor. Not only did she work within my budget, she NAILED the look we were after. I showed her some inspirational photos and pictures of the color theme and she did the rest. Our photos were gorgeous and I was so happy with how lovely everything looked. It was perfect and we keep getting compliments on how beautiful the flowers were. I can't recommend her enough. -
Lauren Sent on 08/19/2018These were the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen in my entire life! So full, bright and unique! Sadly, I did not meet Sunya, or speak with her as my coordinator Cherise Shulman took care of details. We're so sad we had to leave the flowers at the hotel being as though it was a destination wedding! We did hold onto a bird of paradise from my bridesmaid's bouquet that lasted almost a week! For some reason our cake flowers weren't quite what we wanted, but I'm not sure were the ball was dropped. All in all, very happy. Thanks! 5-16-18 at Olowalu

User1527184 Sent on 02/04/2014I hired this vendor through my wedding coordinator. All the photos and reviews I saw were positive. I'm not sure if my coordinator didnt relay what I wanted properly or if the vendor delivered something different than what my vendor told them. The flowers were beautiful and sizes I anticipated. I was disappointed that I had large purple flowers in my bouquet, which at no time did I ask for the color purple in my scheme. The abundance of purple clashed with my real color scheme. Also, I specifically said I did not like things sticking out of flowers and prefer a clean cut type design. One of the centerpieces had large flowers sticking out in 5 different places, reminding me of tentacles. Also, the vendor dropped the flowers off and didnt come say hello or ask me to look them over. So I didnt even have the chance to get it corrected. Overall, I would still use the vendor I just wished what I wanted was delivered more precisely.
