Where to begin? I toured this venue in December 2023 and even amongst the hurricane damaged debris, I absolutely fell in love with it. The scenery sells itself, but what set Sundial apart from other venues was the genuine and overwhelming hospitality. On my tour alone, my venue contact patiently answered my endless list of questions and even spent an hour shelling with me at sunset-- well after he was supposed to go home for the night! Tiffany, Caitlin, and the team was always quick to respond, handled every challenge with such care, and made the whole process feel incredibly easy and enjoyable.
The accommodations are stunning, the food is amazing, and the convenient amenities, combined with their partially inclusive wedding packages, made planning so much easier. We have always had a special connection to the island so getting to have a perfect wedding at our special place made our wedding truly everything I could have ever hoped for and more! Sundial should absolutely be on your list to check out! -

Beautiful venue
Absolutely wonderful to work with! Great communication, wonderful vendors, beautiful setting. Very flexible. They know what they are doing here. They made it easy. So many compliments on the food! We couldn’t be happier. All of our guests were thrilled with the accommodations. Everyone had a great time! Highly recommend. -

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa - Awesome for Intimate Wedding
We had such a great experience hosting our wedding at Sundial. Not only did our guests have a great time at the wedding but we were so pleased with the experience of the planning and execution of the wedding. We had the pleasure of working with Francesca as our Catering Sales Manager and she was so responsive and supportive throughout the entire process. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. The wedding reception area was beyond perfect as we were tucked between beautiful palm trees.We couldn't have been happier. -

We had such a great experience with the Sundial they made all our dreams come true. Francesca was amazing. She helped me every step of the way! Our food choices were delicious from the filet to the grouper and the chicken was on point. I could go on and on about our experience! Such a great team they have there from the chef, all the way to their accommodating wait staff. -

Excellent experience
Our wedding at the Sundial resort was amazing! Everything from the day we started the initial planning to brunch the morning after the wedding went so smoothly and beautifully. Francesca was a huge help…she was always very responsive, helpful, positive and full of great ideas. She made it seem like coordinating weddings at the Sundial was second nature to her! Our entire wedding day, including my hair and makeup services at the spa, the ceremony on the beach, the cocktail hour and the reception went perfectly and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. My only complaint is that I didn’t want the day to end! My husband and I would highly recommend the Sundial Resort and we owe a huge thanks to everyone there who made our wedding events so special! -

We live on the east coast of Florida but my dream was to always have a sunset wedding. So we went in search of our perfect match & we found it at The Sundial. The resort speaks for itself. Right on the beach with chairs & umbrellas provided as well as multiple pools on property. The scenery is beautiful & guest services are great. We had the pleasure of working with Francesca as our wedding event planner. From day 1 she became our friend & was easy to work with as well as talk to. Towards the end I thought I was going to drive her crazy with my 100 questions & concerns but she was able to answer all my questions & resolve my concerns. Day of food tasting came around & the chef was just as hospitable. The food was so amazing that it made it hard what to choose from. My husband & I had a last minute thought of having our rehearsal dinner at the resort & Francesca & her team made it happen. The same day is when I brought all my DIY’s for the day of the wedding as well as favors.
The big day is here & we couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather. Our ceremony was on the beach & Francesca made sure our favors were out for our guests to grab. I was able to have a sneak peek of the ballroom before all the guests came in & everything was set up just as I envisioned it. We had such a great time!
We made a whole vacation out of it & stayed for 6 days. We can’t wait to come back one day & relax as a married couple & enjoy all the wonderful amenities & beautiful beach! -

Sundial was such a gorgeous place to have our wedding!! The resort is even more beautiful than we realized and the staff across the board was so kind and accommodating. (Shout out to Francesca, Pedro and Tony!) Francesca was a pleasure to work with and was so responsive every step of the way! They even upgraded our room to an incredible beach condo!
Originally, we had planned for all of our events to take place outside, but due to a CRAZY windstorm and freezing temperatures, we were unable to have the reception out there. The staff worked with us to allow for our an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, and then set up a beautiful dinner upstairs. What could have been a huge damper on our plans turned out to be gorgeous and a GREAT time!
We would definitely recommend Sundial as a wedding venue and will return ourselves as it now has a special place in our hearts! -

Beautiful venue and awesome service!
Oh my where to begin! I worked with Lavender and Francesca and they were both so great to work with! Coming from Iowa, I had lots of questions and they were both so quick to respond via email or phone to any questions or ideas I had for the wedding. They were so flexible and helpful when I would change my mind and through all the stress and craziness weddings bring, Francesca helped alleviate so much of that. The rehearsal space they set up for us was so beautiful or guests couldn’t stop gushing about how it looked like a wedding reception. When the wedding reception had to be moved indoors, they made sure the space was just as beautiful as my outdoor vision and we’re sooo accommodating for all the different dietary restrictions we had. The food was some of the best food we have ever had and the ceremony on the beach and cocktail hour on turtle beach was a dream. I am so thankful we had our wedding here! -

We got married at The Sundial on 9/20/2021 and it was the most magical, fantastic experience ever!! We had never been to The Sundial or Sanibel before and we checked it out for the first time after seeing it on the internet in May. We automatically knew that it was the place of our dreams! The property is gorgeous.... it was like paradise! The landscaping is beautiful, and the beach is private and there aren't a lot of random people walking around, so we knew it would be perfect for our wedding ceremony! In the months leading up to our big day, Francesca kept in constant contact with me and calmed all my nerves.
During our stay, all The Sundial staff was personable, responsive, and professional. We and our guests were so happy with the rooms! They were clean, and pretty. We really loved the full kitchens! The amenities were fantastic! We went kayaking, paddle boarding, played pickle ball, rode bikes, played ping pong and BINGO. We frequented the Tiki Bar for delicious food and Pina Coladas and their special drink "Put the Lime in the Coconut"!!! My bridal party and I went to the Kay Casperson Spa for hair and makeup and Ashley (makeup) and Julia (hair) were phenomenal! They made all of us look like models!!! The set up on the beach for the ceremony was beautiful, and the entire catering team was so accommodating and flexible with every little request we made during the reception.
We are already trying to plan our next trip to The Sundial. We just loved it so much, and I think you would too!!!! -

Beautiful Wedding Location
We were married at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa last year (2020) and had the most wonderful experience. From the perfect location, planning of the event, and the service and special attention we received, we couldn't have asked for more. The ladies at the Kay Casperson Spa took great care in preparing me, my mother, my daughter and two granddaughters for our special day. Tracy was absolutely amazing. She assisted with planning, answered our many questions, and ensured our packages arrived safely and were kept secure. Our chef created a delicious menu for our reception that received many compliments from our guests. Tony was an outstanding banquet manager & bartender, and never let our cups run dry; and the servers were also wonderful. They were all such a pleasure to work with. Throughout our stay, the entire resort staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We highly recommend the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa for any of your special events and are looking forward to a repeat visit for our one year anniversary. Lavender was amazing, helped so much with her attention to details! Everything was so beautiful, and unforgettable. She was so pleasant to work with, so patient. Made me feel at ease. Sundial Beach Resort and Spa is hands down the best decision we could've made when it came to choosing our wedding venue. We used Lavender Yi as our catering and event manager, and she was absolutely amazing. She made our wedding planning process a breeze, and was available every step of the way to answer any questions or concerns we had (even when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19). On our wedding day she was right there for every moment, and when it came time for rain call and we unfortunately we're expecting to get rained out, Lavender knew our dream was for an outdoor beach wedding, and she made it happen! She was so flexible with moving our event time to avoid the rain, and provided umbrellas for our ceremony and for our reception area. Sundial provided a beautiful beach wedding ceremony setup, as well as reception area on the Lace Murex lawn - everything was stunning! Every employee was so kind and helpful, and our time we spent at the resort before and after the wedding were also nothing short of amazing. We would highly recommend this resort for a wedding, because our wedding was so much more than we ever could have imagined, absolutely PERFECT! We wish we could relive it over and over. -

We held our wedding at Sundial this past weekend and the entire event was nothing short of amazing! Our wedding coordinator Tracy was wonderful- from the start of our planning process, through to the day of, she was extremely professional, responsive, and helpful. We had a few last minute changes to our wedding day and Tracy went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran smoothly and that it was the perfect day for us. Her attention to detail, positive personality, and true passion for wedding planning did not go unnoticed. The event and wait staff were wonderful as well- attentive to everything that was going on during our wedding day and providing impeccable service. Everything about the event far exceeded our expectations. Each one of our wedding guests complimented us on how beautiful our wedding day was and how much they enjoyed their stay at Sundial. My husband and I will certainly be returning to Sundial for future vacations, as will many of our friends and family. I highly recommend this venue and thank Sundial for making our wedding day so memorable! -

Lavender is awesome!
The resort and food were great! Lavender, the wedding coordinator, was so quick to respond to every email and call. She made the whole process a breeze and accommodated all of my wishes for our wedding. I cannot day enough good things about her and the staff. The spot on the beach was great and the lawn the reception took place on was beautiful (one of my favorite parts) THANK YOU LAVENDER!!!

The most perfect day!
Highly recommend Sundial for weddings. Everything was perfect! We had most our guest coming from out of town and it was the perfect location that had anything you would need and something for all ages! I would recommend brides to get a 3 bedroom suite the night before the wedding so it can also be your “getting ready” room with your bridesmaids. It was just the right amount of room for everyone to have space for hair and makeup.
Although all the staff at Sundial were amazing, Tracy the wedding coordinator made our day perfect! She is very helpful, extremely responsive and attentive to anything you need prior to the wedding and during the entire wedding weekend. -

The staff at the Sundial were friendly and were willing to go the extra mile to make our day as perfect as possible. Lavender, the Catering Manager, was kind and professional, only wanting to make sure our day (and stay) was the best it could be. She worked with our budget and went above and beyond our expectations. We had a small ceremony and reception of 11 total and the beautiful Sundial resort and beach scenery complimented the whole event beautifully. The only downside was having to go back home. We will be back to celebrate our anniversary and to bring our families for years to come! -

Our wedding at Sundial on 04/20/19 couldn't have gone better. Ashley was the absolute best to work - professional, calming, intelligent, and good at her job. When we began the wedding venue selection process it was a daunting task but as soon as I heard from Ashley I knew Sundial was the place we would get married. My husband and I live in Charlotte, NC so most of our planning was done through email. Ashley was quick to respond and answer questions for me. We were able to customize a menu based off what WE wanted which was a joy. We finally got to tour the venue in February when we came into town for a vendor visit and pictures don't do this place justice. The entire property is breathtaking - natural beauty. The beach, lawn, and indoor reception rooms were so gorgeous, and elegant. There was so much about wedding planning that I didn't know (timeline, bridal party order, etc) Ashley was so patience and accommodating with us. The day of our wedding the weather was so perfect. The day went by so quick and I can't believe it is over. The food here was TOP NOTCH. My husband and I got so many compliments on our choices of food and the attentiveness of the bartenders. Thank you Ashley and all the Sundial team for making our wedding dreams come true. -

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, Tracy, we cannot thank you enough for a once in a life time Wedding experience at Sundial! Everything about the resort gave our guests the destination feel, and even us living in Fort Myers felt as though we were somewhere far far away! With everything being a short walk to the beach, the bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, pools, and volleyball net lended endless amounts of fun for everyone! Not only was all the food, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to die for, but the service was amazing as well. The whole overall persona that Sundial emits cannot be beat! Our wedding could not have been any more gorgeous, with the lights and stairs above us, our guests having a blast dancing in the sand! We could not have asked for a better venue! Literally a once in a life time experience thank cannot be beat! Everyone was so sad to leave! Tracy, you went above and beyond anything I could have asked for and am so very thankful to have had you to coordinate everything at Sundial! Thank you a million times over! -

Jennifer Sent on 02/06/2018We had the most incredible wedding weekend at the Sundial Resort & Spa this past weekend!! Tiffany was amazing from the day we toured the venue right through our reception. She was so easy to work with and she went out of her way to make sure every detail was perfect and that my husband and I (and my overly involved parents) were abundantly happy. The grounds at the Sundial are absolutely beautiful and everything was picture perfect from our welcome party on Friday night to our sunset ceremony on the west lawn, our breathtaking cocktail hour on the ballroom balcony and our reception in the ballroom. The food was great both at our event and at the hotel's restaurants. The staff was super friendly and accommodating all weekend and all of our guests had an incredible time and are already talking about going back for another stay at the Sundial. I honestly could not be more pleased and would reccomend the Sundial to anyone looking to have a stress-free and amazing wedding experience!

Alyssa Sent on 01/07/2018Sundial was absolutely the perfect place for our destination wedding! I searched and toured SEVERAL places trying to find the right place. Sundial was perfect for us, not only because of its breathtaking beach and lawns and courtyards (which are truly gorgeous) but guests have a variety of activities and things do to, without ever having to leave the resort. We were looking for a place that even guests who do not or did not want to lay out on the beach, would still have things to do. Sundial offers kayak, paddle board, pickleball court, and bike rentals, which is all included in your resort fee. Additionally, they have fun shelling activities and the staff is so friendly! It was also important to me for my guests, including myself and our wedding party, to be able to come and relax during their stay. It was so nice to not have to worry about decorating and setting up the day before or last minute details. Tiffany and the entire Sundial staff truly made sure we were taken care. In addition, the whole wedding process was simple. Tiffany was always prompt to answer all my questions and emails, and was always happy to help. They also provided a list of suggested vendors to help in selecting a florist ,entertainment and any other amenities we may have needed. Being so far away (Wisconsin,) we were unable to go and check out vendors ourselves, so having a list of people Sundials and trusts really helped us out. We are so happy we chose Sundial and would recommend to anyone looking for a destination/Florida wedding!

Xiara Sent on 08/20/2016From the moment I walked into the Sundial, I knew this was going to be where I would get married. The property is absolutely beautiful, capturing everything that is "Old Florida" with a modern vibe. It is the perfect destination wedding venue without needing a passport!
We had almost 100 guest attend our wedding, where most including ourselves stayed on the property for 3-5 days. All of the staff knew us by first name basis by the end of Day 1; from the guys setting up beach chairs and umbrellas, to Jason and Josh at the pool Tiki Hut bar (best bartenders on the island BTW), and the rest of of the staff just beyond accommodating.
Tiffany, the Wedding Coordinator and Paul, Food and Beverage Manager want to make sure your day and time there is perfect, they worked with me to customize and create the perfect wedding package.
I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Criss Menassa, after the pre-wedding food sampling; it was difficult narrowing my selections because everything Chef made was absolutely delicious. During our stay we ate at all of the cafes and restaurants on the property. Every meal at the resort was top notch - probably why the resort won Best Chef in 2015!
Tiffany was awesome! Always quick to reply to my emails and phone calls with any questions I had. Very attentive and caring. Tiffany and her staff made my vision come to real life!
The girls at the Kay Casperon Salon, did fantastic work - friendly and professional, captured what I was looking for.
It began to rain unexpectedly before my ceremony on the beach, Tiffany was able to get all the guest under shelter to keep them dry. Once the 'Florida Shower' passed her staff immediately dried off all the chairs so my guest can be seated in a dry chair. They were also able to quickly relocate our cocktail hour that was on the third floor outside terrace overlooking the ocean, to the inside private dining room due to the rain.
After it is all said and done, I HIGHLY recommend the Sundial to everyone. -
Kacy Sent on 12/05/2017We just had the best experience getting married at Sundial. The most stand out things for us were: 1. Event Manager: Tiffany was awesome!!! She was responsive, accommodating, and was happy to lend her expertise whenever we needed it. She was in touch with us through out the planning process, however-during our rehearsal and the day of our wedding-she was there to walk us through what to do, where to go, and made sure that everything went as planned for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception without missing a beat. We are so thankful to her! 2. Resort Staff: Aside from Tiffany, the resort staff is very friendly and professional. Everyone from the front desk associates, the wait staff, safety, and cleaning crew were incredibly friendly to me and our guests. They went above and beyond to be helpful both in helping us with the wedding as well as ensuring we enjoyed our stay as resort guests. 3. Food!: They were very accommodating and let us heavily customize our menu. Our guests raved about the food (and honestly, wedding food is usually nothing to write home about). Because we live states away, we went in without a tasting-and were blown away by the flavor and quality. It was beyond our expectations and I have never heard so many wedding guests compliment the food. 4. Resort Rooms/Amenities: The multiple options of condos offered at Sundial are perfect for families and friends to share if they chose. We had quite a few family members stay for a week surrounding our wedding and they raved at how happy they were with the facilities and ease of everything being in one spot. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had all the necessities. The pool area/tiki bar is a fun spot to hang out and you are steps away from the beach. Beautiful Destination Wedding!
Our special day was perfect! Francesca prepared and coordinated the day and vendors in detail from rehearsal to our beach wedding ceremony & guest transition from Lace Murex lawn, to the beautiful private ballroom with a terrace overlooking the ocean. Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 10th, 2020 and due to covid-19 travel restrictions we postponed till April 10th 2021. I am so glad I postponed and didn't cancel. It was well worth the wait!! I had worked with Tracy in Sales for over a year and I heard so many good reviews about her. I was really excited to have her there helping on my wedding day. I ended up being assigned a new sales coordinator a month before the wedding and was kind of upset about that. However, everything worked out and turned out great. Even with a rainstorm in the middle of dinner. :) -

We had our wedding in November 2020 at the Sundial and it was amazing. Our guests raved about the food, as well as the exceptional service that they received during our reception. One of our favorite aspects about the resort was that we were able to hold all of our events outdoors, including our reception and open dancing portion where our guests loved dancing barefoot in the sand under the palm trees and stars. We also found that the resort was great for bringing people together, as all of the events happened onsite and it was easy to meet up at the tiki bar or the main pool to socialize. Lastly, there were a great deal of activities that the resort offers, so we never felt like we had to entertain everyone that traveled and stayed multiple nights for our wedding.
If the review above convinced you to inquire about having your wedding at the Sundial, know that you will be in great hands with Lavender Yi (Catering Sales Manager). Lavender was everything we could ask for in a planner/coordinator and more. She was knowledgeable, trustworthy, and responsive, all things that were especially important when planning a destination wedding. Shout out to Lavender - you're the best!

Kristin Sent on 11/08/2011My husband and I visited multiple resorts on Sanibel and Captiva Islands when looking for a venue for our destination wedding. We decided on Sundial for multiple reasons:
1. My husband and his family used to vacation on Sanibel Island for many years. Sundial was where my husband would spend his days at the pool, on the beach, in the game room, and the fitness room.
2. Sundial was on Sanibel Island which was a shorter commute for our guests that were traveling from nearby Fort Myers and Naples.
3. Sundial's ceremony and reception locations were within close proximity to each other.
4. Although the prices weren't inexpensive, they were considerably better than some of the other resorts on the Islands.
With that said, I am confident that Sundial was the perfect place for my husband and I to say our vows. The guest rooms were clean and spacious. The ammenities were reasonably priced and plentiful. The staff was responsive and helpful.
I worked with Maria Palma to coordinate our wedding. She responded to all of my questions and worked with me to make sure our wedding vision came to light on the day of. She, and the Sundial staff, set up our place cards, worked with our vendors, put out decor, and much more. Because she provided this service to us we did not have to hire an outside wedding coordinator nor did we have to ask family to help with set up of the reception or ceremony area.
Everything was where it was supposed to be when it was supposed to be there and every event happened when it was scheduled to. Maria and my other vendors made this all possible.
We had a wonderful wedding day and we are greatful to Maria and Sundial for helping to make it all possible. -

My husband and I had our microwedding at Sundial in March 2026. We had 40 people in attendance. It was a destination wedding. Our first meeting with them we flew down from New Jersey to meet Caitlyn and she was not there that day. Amber took over and did not have any of our plans. Caitlyn eventually left Sundial and Amber took over. She was responsive up until three weeks prior. We submitted all plans sent all of our boxes down and provided everything in a timely manner. They could not accommodate a rehearsal the day prior due to another engagement.
The day of the wedding I arrived for hair and makeup at 1:30 for our 5:00 pm wedding to find that none of the four boxes I sent with favors, sparklers, sand ceremony items and other items were open. When I asked about it she stated “ was I supposed to do that?” I was by myself as I didn’t have a bridal party. The receptionist at the hair salon came down to assist. The floor plan was not what I had originally put down on the sheet either.
It was determined if it was going to rain we would decide the day before to set up the downstairs room. A decision was not made I assumed it was already set up. Amber suggested to have the ceremony in the reception area. That was not the original plan. When I mentioned to have it downstairs in the other room she stated it wasn’t set up. We had it outside as I prepared to have umbrellas for everyone which were still in the boxes at 4:00 pm.
My cousins and sons arrived early which allowed me time to get hair and makeup done. The ceremony was pretty outside with the umbrellas. After the ceremony cocktail hour was supposed to be on the deck upstairs. The violinist when I arrived was inside playing half the party was outside half inside. When I asked my family they said they didn’t know where to go. Amber was nowhere to be found.
The food was delicious! Lambchops and shrimp were great. The drinks were subpar. We had ordered and paid for top shelf liquor because they informed me Tito’s was top shelf. The bar never had Tito’s I had to ask for it. The bartender said “oh we never use Tito’s” my husband requested one dance with his sister in remembrance of his parents. It was 8:15 and the dance was supposed to be at 7:30. When he asked amber she said” oh you still want to do that.”
Overall, for our second wedding we had fun. If you are using Sundial hire a day of coordinator. The timelines were a waste of time as Amber wasn’t anywhere to be found to follow and definitely don’t waste time with the table arrangements and room set up.

Our planner was so very responsive to my five million questions and very friendly with each response; The venue was gorgeous; The price was very reasonable (we went with Sanibel Dreams) and included chairs, tables, arch, set up, take down, cocktails, dinner, service, and a honeymoon room (for meeting a minimum # of guest plates), the cake, basic centerpieces; We were surprised with chocolate covered strawberries, a little gift, and a bottle of wine in our honeymoon suite that night
Cons: Didn't provide any space in which to get ready for the day unless you booked hotel rooms there (which we didn't); I had to ask so many questions - very little information was provided up front - I had to know what questions to ask; Didn't include floral arrangements, set up or take down of personal items we brought or rented (extra centerpiece decorations, aisle runner, ceremony decorations, etc), a/v equipment; The reception area in the Murex lawn was SO HOT and stagnant. The breeze from the beach didn't make it past the hedges and it created a sweltering environment for dinner. It would have been so much better if industrial fans were placed on the ground or in the trees; We asked for umbrellas on the tables for the cocktail hour because it was on a bare beach in June. We were told they would be provided and they weren't. Our guests were all over the resort seeking shade; We asked for lawn jenga for the kids at our dinner and were told it would be there - it wasn't. My maid of honor and the kids had to go get it and bring it over; The water for the cocktail hour very quickly ran out (because it was all ice and very little water). When this was mentioned to our planner by multiple guests, she told them to go get water at the bar instead of getting the water filled back up. The bar keeper was visibly annoyed that my guests kept coming up to get water.

I highly advise looking at a different venue. The Sundial resort coordinator made a lot of promises and didn’t deliver. Tracy Snyder (resort director of banquets and events - and my coordinator) should never be able to plan another wedding ever. Thank God I personally hired a wedding planner, but because Tracy didn’t do her job, it made my planner’s life harder that day. Not to mention, the resort used my planner to blame for all of the problems we had and has yet to take responsibility. Myself and my bridesmaids were waiting for someone to come and get us before the ceremony - but no one did. We were told we’d get a golf cart ride to the main building. But instead we were getting calls asking where we were, we had to carry our flowers, personal belongings, etc and walk through the parking lot. After that, I can say that thanks to our wedding planner, our ceremony was beautiful, the cocktail hour was nice, and we did get some amazing speeches in the few moments that we were able to enjoy all of the hard work we put into planning the decor. But even though my planner confirmed with Tracy that there would be a back up plan if it rained…and that she’d handle it - it wasn’t handled. Guess what, it rained. The resort will say that they asked myself and my husband if we wanted to move inside, which is not true. I was never approached by the resort. I was approached by my planner. I didn’t want to move inside but I also was not looking at the radar and I did not know what was coming. The resort has a safety team for a reason. It wasn’t safe nor sanitary for our friends and family to sit outside in a downpour. Rather than setting up our backup space with the resort linens, chairs, center pieces etc that I didn’t use - they stood around and did nothing. Then they moved my people to a space that didn’t fit them, with zero linens, zero silverware, and no bar. I paid for an open bar that was not open for at lease an hour, maybe an hour and a half. I had guests going to the main bar and paying for drinks!!! After I paid $175 per person that included an open bar. The bartender Tony was rude to my guests, complaining about the specialty drinks we selected and sent to the venue weeks in advance. As my people were moving tables and getting chairs, so that they could finally sit down for dinner, no one from the resort was serving my guests water, soda, tea - they had nothing to drink. And then because of the delay the food came out cold. Oh and my cake - my cake was just sitting on a shit table - the cake tower that I borrowed from the venue was left outside with my cake topper. My bridesmaids and family were trying to brave the rain to bring things in to try to make it right. As a result of that, my cousin cut her foot on a vase that she dropped because it was so wet outside and ended up getting 4 stitches at the ER. I paid nearly $40,000 for the entire wedding. Planned every detail down to the color of the flatware and the resort essentially ruined the entire thing due to their lack of planning and disorganization. They had zero compassion for what happened and took no responsibility. Also, i can’t forget to mention that Tracy left before the event was over - she just bailed. They offered me $1,000 off the bill, a free breakfast and a 2 night stay for our anniversary, but then shortly after responded to Google reviews defaming me and my husband, saying things that absolutely weren’t true. To add salt to injury…our rugs (that we used during the wedding and reception) got wet on the beach. We were told they would be power washed that week. They were not. They were thrown out on the loading dock along side our arch and we had to shake them out, roll them up and get them to FedEx to ensure shipment - after an entire week of requesting our items and trying to locate them. All I can say is that I married my best friend and we were surrounded by people who support and love us in the most amazing way possible. Having them, is what will carry us through the sadness we feel because we were treated so poorly by the venue. -

The Sundial ruined my best friends day. It rained. We understand rain. However…the Sundial treated us like we had an outdoor reservation—and since it rained we ultimately had no reservation. This place is 100% GARBAGE in a pinch. They shoved us in a room with no linens, no flatware, no bar service. We ate cake with our fingers. They clearly knew the bride wanted to stay outside so despite the rain, they punished our 75 person guest list by putting us in that room. The resort will try and argue that “it was so unfortunate that it rained.”
I don’t give a shit about that. You should have had a plan B for us and setup something so we could have at least enjoyed our dinner. 75 people saw you fuck up. It’s 75 people against your false marketing. You are garbage.
