    We were so blessed to meet J Sullivan Travel at Today's Bridal Show last year. Jen and Kelly were a pleasure to speak with and were very knowledgeable on the different area's we wanted to host our destination wedding in. In the end, we decided on Nashville, TN. She was extremely on top of keeping our guest list organized and following up with our friends and family to make sure they booked their flights on time. They loved speaking with her and Kelly, and I would always hear about how friendly and accommodating they were. On top of that, we also booked our honeymoon through Jen to the couples resort in Jamaica. We were able to help set up a "Honey Fund" where family members could gift us excursions or a night stay in the hotel. Even better, she was upfront about there being absolutely NO extra fees which I had been running into a lot with other different travel agents and Honeymoon registry sites. For anyone local to the CLE area, it was wonderful to sit down and talk face to face to discuss what we wanted out of our wedding and honeymoon, our budget, and any other questions we had at her office. For any future trips my husband and I have, we are going to book through Jen. She gave us such a personalized experience and truly cared about us as a couple by making sure we had the best time possible within our budget. I would recommenced her to anyone!

    Jen was great to work with, very accommodating. I had many questions and I am a shopper, I was trying to get the best deal possible and Jen made it happen. I never felt as though she was just trying to sell me a package just to make her money. I dealt with several other travel agents that made me think they were not concerned about me. Jen truly cared and we were very happy with the way everything turned out. Thanks for all of your help.

    So easy to work with, helpful, and they had experience staying at the resort we went to for our honeymoon. We were very happy with our trip!

    I have to give this agency a very poor review. Jen and Kelly were helpful in fitting our honeymoon into our budget, but after we handed over the deposit, working with them was a frustrating mess, and with all of the chasing people down and research I had to do on my own, I think it would have been easier for me to plan our honeymoon myself. Emails went unanswered, and although they did typically answer the phone, often the resolution to the phone convo was that they would follow up with me via email, and again, the email never arrived.

    These are just a few of the many specific examples of the poor quality of service:
    1.) J Sullivan was to be watching for airfare prices to drop before booking the first leg of our flight. I did receive an email from J Sullivan when prices did drop, but the 45 minute layover they supplied made me request a longer amount of time, which they did follow up with the same day. I answered to book the flight within one hour of receiving the email. 5 days went by, after which time I followed up and was told that the airline had withdrawn the price.

    2.) The itinerary included a voucher for a free dinner...at a hotel that we weren't staying at. Months before our trip, I pointed out to Jen that this looked like a mistake, to which she acknowledged that it did look strange, but that the arrangements should be fine. We travel out of our way to this hotel, and, of course...we don't get a free dinner because we are not staying at the hotel. How hard would it have been for Jen to confirm this odd-looking arrangement when I caught it months before?

    3.) We were given incorrect information on our international flight. Jen told us that we needed to book the domestic legs of our flight with a specific airline so that we would not have to retrieve our bags before going through customs. Turns out that everyone must retrieve their bags before customs, which makes me question what experience J. Sullivan has with international travel.

    Horrible experience do not book

    I would highly advise against booking your honeymoon with J Sullivan Travel! I normally don’t write bad reviews because I can usually understand that things happen and people work hard for their job, but Jen definitely did not work hard. She was very persistent in the beginning to get us to book with her which is great! It took us some time to decide since we were in the process of moving and wedding planning but then officially decided the first of January for our August honeymoon. We booked and didn’t book flights at the time since there was still a lot of time until we left and prices were high, come April, I had to reach out to Jen NUMEROUS times to help book our flights it took over a month to get this done. I would be fine doing it myself but we paid extra for the travel insurance given COVID and the flights would only be refundable if booked through Jen. Now I get that people are busy, but when we proceeded to call her after about five emails of her saying “I will look into it” and never got back to us; she was very, very rude. Once again, I get if we were giving attitude but we were not! We were very nice and calm and understanding and would thank her when she did do something for us. Now comes the worst part- she got both my fiancés and my name wrong throughout the whole booking process. I noticed it and had to call to inform her. She told me she took care of it don’t worry and don’t change anything! Well, when we go to check into our flight the day before we leave we couldn’t. We had to take time the day after our wedding to go up to the airport and luckily the attendant at Southwest was so kind to change our information for us to the correct spelling. She even upgraded our seating for free since we couldn’t check in correctly we weren’t going to be able to sit together for our honeymoon on a 5 hour international flight because Jen initially messed up, said she “handled it” when brought to her attention on numerous occasions and didn’t. Now that we fixed the flights, we tried to fix the resort reservation. We already called the resort once and got charged for calling out of country to confirm our reservations since Jen kept giving us incorrect confirmation numbers. So we were going to call and pay AGAIN however reservations was closed. We called Jen, no answer and her voicemail box was full and we left the next morning at 6 am. So we called funjet above her, funjet said WE would have to call the resort the next day even though we were going to be on our flight the whole morning until we got to Punta Cana anyways. After I assured them they needed to fix the scenario, they agreed and said they would handle it. Well, they didn’t. We arrived to a different country and our transfer service was with the incorrect name. As was everything with the hotel reservation. WE sorted everything our ourself over Jen’s mistakes brought to her attention months prior on many occasions. With that being said, you would be much better booking your vacation yourself rather than using J Sullivan Travel, she truly is the only professional I worked with during my whole wedding process that gave incredible unnecessary stress!
