The perfect addition to your wedding day!
We booked a String Quartet for our wedding day through String Theory. Allison was such a pleasure to speak to and work with through the process. She didn’t hesitate to add songs I wanted that weren’t on the list for the ceremony music, such as “Sky Full of Stars” for my entrance and the “Jurassic Park” theme song for my husbands. We are very honored to have had her and the other musicians be a part of our wedding day, they were perfect. We will have beautiful memories of our music for years to come because of the performance of String Theory. They will add another part of love to your wedding day with their beautiful music! There is nothing else like the feeling that live instruments can add to your wedding day, it will give you goosebumps. Thank you String Theory from the bottom of our hearts

10/10 amazing!
So thrilled we used String Theory. I loved the idea of keeping it Classic with violin and cello but modern song options. The team was amazing and made the day so special, they are talented professional and highly responsive. There's something magical about walking down the aisle to live music! Allison was so helpful along the way and assisted me in creating a custom song to walk down to. 10/10 no hesitations.

I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience we had with String Theory Music for our daughter's outdoor wedding ceremony at the Jacksonville Zoo in November. The violin and cello duet they provided was absolutely beautiful and added the perfect touch to our special day. From the start, working with String Theory Music was a breeze. The pre-planning meeting was thorough, well-organized, and left no detail overlooked. The owner was incredibly responsive to all our questions and requests.
The musicians played a carefully curated repertoire that matched exactly what we envisioned for the ceremony. They were not only talented but also professional, and their performance truly elevated the ambiance of our wedding. We received numerous compliments from guests about how stunning the music was—it really helped create an elegant, upscale atmosphere.

So friendly! From the first interaction to the last, everyone at this company is so nice! This really elevated our wedding! And wow they are so talented!! Can't recommend them enough!
I can not recommend String Theory enough! They played all our requested songs perfectly and even learned a new one for our wedding which was played just right as our bride walked down the aisle. And they did all this while smiling under the tent while it was raining outside! They were easy to work with and very reasonable in price. And they were professionally dressed, looking very polished during their elegant performance.

Fairytale Dream Come True
I was introduced by recommendation to Allison, the String Theory Music Coordinator, through one of the late owners of Castle Otttis in St. Augustine, FL. It was such a sincere pleasure working with her attributes of professionalism, humble partnership, prompt responsiveness, and genuine smile orchestrated amidst our fairytale dreams that were brought to life at our wedding. The violin and cello duet yielded echoes across time that our still heard in our cherished memories to date. Allison and her team were very accommodating in learning new Celtic music and recomposing a Vivaldi classic, in addition to the vast repertoire that was already available. String Theory is highly recommended for any venue that is ready to be enchanted with tunes that will make dreams come true!

We used String Theory Music for our wedding ceremony on December 3rd and I am so happy that we did! My husband was a little wary about not just using the DJ for our ceremony, but ended up being so happy that we chose them instead! We did a violin and cello duet and they were absolutely incredible! Allison Marshall was always super responsive to my emails and made great suggestions for songs when we needed some! We requested a song from them that was not on their list and they had no issue learning it for us. We did a first look before the ceremony and could hear them practicing in the background which was absolutely incredible. While the ceremony was beautiful, I kind of blacked out so I am glad we were able to enjoy them on our own during the first look. An added bonus that I was not expecting! Overall, we definitely recommend String Theory Music! It elevated our ceremony to a whole new level and made it even more special and beautiful! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about them!

Allison and her incredible team of musicians were the cherry on top for executing our vision of having a romantic and classic wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. I started tearing up the moment I heard them playing as it was so just so beautiful and perfect. Allison was very accommodating and we even commissioned her and her team to play a specific song for my husband when he walked down the aisle (which they CRUSHED). My husband walked down to 'Still D.R.E.' by Dr. Dre and it was a HUGE hit! We had a DJ for the reception (Party Solutions - highly recommend them as well), however, nothing beats live music for the wedding ceremony. You will not regret hiring them for your wedding!!!

Incredibly talented team!
What a beautiful addition to our ceremony String Theory was! We originally had a friend playing acoustic music for us but I worked multiple weddings with this vendor and they were so talented we decided we had to hire them if they had our date available (July 3rd, 2022) We were so thankful they did and they were so accommodating. We chose a string trio. We were only particular about a few songs for the processional but otherwise kept song choices in their hands. We are still receiving compliments about how beautiful it was. It added an extra step of elegance to our ceremony which is exactly what we wanted before the "party" part of the wedding. They arrived promptly on time and played for half an hour before the ceremony. We can't thank them enough for being apart of our day and making it even more special.

Passionate, Talented, and Professional
String Theory was an absolute dream come true. I had to push back my wedding due to the pandemic, but Allison was so responsive and wonderful to work with. I ended up getting married in November, and they did an INCREDIBLE performance of my favorite piece of music, "Jupiter Hymn" by Gustav Holst. If you want soulful, elegant, and beautiful string arrangements by talented musicians, I cannot recommend String Theory enough!

They set up and arrived right when they said they would. There was a variety of music to pick from and Allison was helpful with suggestions. They were freezing cold and still played the entire time (January wedding)! They added a unique experience and special touch that is so much more personal than just having music play in the background. Many of our guests complimented us on all the details we planned and string musicians are definately one of the best additions to any venue!

Allison was just awesome to communicate and work with!! She provided all of my Violin music choices and helped with music placement at the ceremony. She was excited about the event right along with me. Unfortunately, she got sick so I did not get to meet this wonderful person. Hannah came in her place and she was excellent!! Allison and String Theory Music is extremely professional and I very highly recommend her company!

I would hire them just to listen to them in my backyard! They did a fantastic job at our wedding. They were prompt and got right to work when they clocked in. I wish I had more time to converse and thank them for a phenomenal job they did. Definitely a must for your next wedding!

Absolutely LOVED working with string theory music! Even before the pandemic happened, Allison was so very responsive and easy - going. She and her team were able to take requests and learn the sheet music to songs that I requested. She also was extremely flexible and understanding with my postponement and the rescheduling of my wedding. The music was so beautiful for my wedding and I have listened to her team play over and over in my wedding video. I wholeheartedly would recommend String Theory Music for your wedding and/or events!

Made our vision reality
We knew we wanted cello accompaniment for our wedding ceremony and were referred to Allison and String Theory by a friend. We also knew we wanted specific music for our processionals — but String Theory didn’t know it and we could not find the sheet music anywhere. Allison suggested we hire a local composer to transcribe the music. So, for a very modest fee, we were able to realize our dream ceremony complete with elegant, romantic and sacred music. It was simply lovely 😊

They played pretty music.
The only thing I wish could have happened was if I had a chance to speak to them in person so I could invite them to eat all the extra food and cake I had at my reception. But I was busy being ushered around and they were busy filling my venue with the songs I picked.
They played me two songs that weren't in their repertoire and they were worried that I might not be satisfied as the songs were typically very layered and I had only hired two violinists. I told them not to worry about it and do the best they can, and after hearing it I'm not sure why they were worried. I got two violin covers of songs I adore and it sounded very romantic and pretty. I won't forget the way it sounded.

Amazing Personalized Instrumental Performance
My husband and I had String Theory perform at our wedding for both ceremony and cocktail hour. Allison was very attentive to what we wanted for both events and was able to make them feel like the wedding was truly about us and from us. She was able to incorporate non-tradition music but in a very traditional and beautiful way! She even was able to play all of the "nerd music" we requested with the cello and violin duo. Guests came up to use during the reception and after the wedding raving about their performance and how much they enjoyed it. I would recommend String Theory in a heartbeat and would have them again for another event should it be needed!

Absolute perfection at our Jekyll Island Wedding
Allison and String Theory Music did an absolute amazing job playing for our wedding. From the first initial communication up until the wedding day, she was so professional, extremely easy to get in touch with and overall such a pleasure to work with. After having dreamt about two certain songs being played at my wedding, I asked Allison if this would be possible and her response was “No problem at all” she even said she would get together to practice the songs ahead of time to make sure they had it correctly. On the day of, they played so beautiful it moved everyone to tears. I can not recommend them enough. When choosing vendors to work with on your wedding day, the first thing I always looked for was someone who could put me at ease, just knowing how many details there are that could add extra stress - Within our very first communication, Allison put me at such ease and made me feel so calm that our music would be perfect. I can not thank them enough for the beautiful music they played and how absolutely amazing it was to work with them. A million times thank you to Allison and String Theory Music - our wedding would not have been the same without them!

Outstanding Strings!
String Theory provided THE most beautiful music for my daughter's wedding in November 2019. She had selected a couple of pieces that she loved, but there were no arrangements for strings for them. For a very nominal fee, String Theory can compose arrangements of music there is no sheet music for. They are professional, talented, and extraordinarily organized, and we could not have been happier with the result of their efforts. Highly recommend!

Rather than have pre-recorded wedding music we opted to have a cello play! It was so beautiful, and they are very open to any music suggestions! I had the cellist learn "This is me" from The Greatest Showman! It was wonderful :-) You cannot go wrong booking this company.

String Theory provided a cello and violin duet for our wedding in April, 2019 and they were perfect! They were so responsive and professional and great to work with! They have a very large repertoire and we were able to choose our processional and recessional pieces, and they sounded absolutely beautiful. As a classically trained violinist myself, I requested a lot of Bach for the music before the ceremony and it sounded amazing! I wouldn't hesitate to hire String Theory again.

My wife wanted a cellist after we had booked the DJ and I obliged. I wasn't expecting the value of having String Theory at our wedding. Allison worked hard to get a song composed for me that was on the top of my list and for a great price and it sounded amazing to walk down the aisle to it.
I believe the best compliment I can give was a moment my soon to be wife had. As her side of the photos were being taken before the wedding, the cellist was warming up, playing Phantom of the Opera Medley (her favorite show). In the middle of the photoshoot my bride stopped, and was solely focused on the cellist to the point the photographer had to snap her back to reality and my wife responded, "sorry, I got distracted by the cellist".
"I'm sorry, do you need me to stop"? asked the cellist.
"Heavens no, please continue" she responded, to which everybody took a moment to appreciate the new vigor and pride the cellist took in playing those opening notes.
It was a moment my wife was looking forward to all day and was not expecting it to sneak up on her like that.
We plan on having String Theory play at my wife's birthday later this year for a private show.

The most beautiful music!
From the beginning, String Music Theory and Allison blew me and my family away. Her responsiveness to emails and helping us decide on what was the right music to pick made our experience so great. As the bride, I did not get to hear her and her team play anything but the song I requested to walk down the aisle to and the recessional music, but guests at my wedding told me they very much enjoyed the string trio during the ceremony and cocktail hour.

The String Theory Music group was absolutely wonderful to work with. Allison was very accommodating throughout the entire process. Even more so during the contract and song selection process. I had a very specific vision in having the quartet play a blend of my fiancé and I's favorite songs (Heroes by David Bowie, I Melt with you by Modern English, and Just Like Heaven by the Cure) along with classic pieces. Allison and team were accommodating to learn the music and played it beautifully. The guests were beyond impressed by the music to their ears and I felt like I was in a dream walking down the aisle to my husband with beautiful instrumentals playing softly in the background. If you're looking for an ultimate wedding experience with the highest quality of music to play during your ceremony, cocktail hour or all the above, I'd highly suggest String Theory.

Allison at String Theory was wonderful. She answered all questions in a timely manner and was very flexible. The music was gorgeous! My daughter walked down the aisle to Elvis ‘s “can’t help falling in love “ and the wedding procession was “somewhere over the rainbow”. Not a dry eye in the place. I strongly recommend String Theory!

Allison is amazing! On the day of my outside beach wedding it rained steady all day. When I arrived at the venue Allison was there, playing music, easing stressed out guests while we waited for a break to run to the beach and be married. Her professional and determined attitude lifted my spirits and I could not be prouder to have someone keep my wedding dream alive while I was unable, tucked away from the guests. Huge thank you to Allison for everything she did to make my day perfect! Although we had never met face-to-face the experience felt personal as if she were my friend who also just wanted everything perfect. From the first email I knew she was the musician I wanted to work with. She helped me throughout planning and made my experience totally stress-free! There are so many things you ponder when wedding planning, you try to justify what you want with your budget. Allison is not only affordable but one of those have to have/worth it/another level things. Thank you Allison Marshall!

String Theory was absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough good things about them! From the start they were quick to respond to all of my questions, they were extremely helpful with my lack of musical knowledge, and they had a great song selection! At the wedding it made the ceremony! They set the tone, wowed all of our guests, and made our small ceremony feel very formal and fancy! They sounded fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about Sting Theory!

So happy we decided to go with String Theory as our musicians for the ceremony. I had so many people compliment the music. Once I was waiting in the back and heard some of the songs I knew it was the right choice. They played it all so beautifully. Also very easy to email back and forth with, their responsiveness is amazing. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to have musicians for their big day.

Couldn't have asked for a more perfect performance at our wedding. Working with Allison and her team was simple-- answer a few questions early in the process and they do the rest. With so many "others" having questions for everything, this was one less item to worry about. "Set it and forget it" I guess you could say. So many at the wedding remarked about the music and we too agree-- incredible!

All of the ladies at String Theory were wonderful! They were so accommodating, even with our last minute changes due to the hurricane. They even found my favorite version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and in such a short time frame too! They arrived early and were very flexible and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful addition to their big day! :)

String theory was the absolute perfect addition to my wedding! They were so easy to work with and even welcomed my idea of having my maid of honor walk down the aisle while playing the violin with them. She even took lessons with her prior. It was the perfect ceremony! I could have not picked better! She even posted some pictures from my wedding on facebook! I can not thank them enough. No need to look any further as they are the perfect addition for your big day!

Allison was wonderful to work with because from the very beginning, she responded so quickly with any and all questions. She understood exactly what I wanted and was able to provide competitive pricing. We were so pleased to have a string trio at our wedding for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They made it feel that much more special and had no problem playing our requests. When my Mom's favorite song came on, but my brother wasn't there yet to enjoy it, they told her they would play it again. :) They were so accommodating, dressed perfectly, and sounded amazing!

We are so extremely pleased with how wonderful String Theory was for our ceremony at the White Room! They were the perfect addition to a beautiful venue and my only "negative" is that my husband and I weren't able to hear all of the beautiful music they played on our day ?? If you are looking for musicians for your wedding, seriously stop looking and hire String Theory right now! People from my wedding have RAVED about how beautiful the ceremony music was. Allison was a complete joy to work with. She is so responsive and is SO helpful. I had so many questions about song choices and she was there every step of the way making sure we picked music that would best fit my wedding. Her whole team was incredibly professional. We had a little mishap right before the ceremony and the sprinklers came on right where they were playing. All of my guests told me that they were so impressed with how they handled the situation. They didn't freak out and handled the situation with such grace. I can't recommend them enough!!

I strongly recommend String Theory Music! I had a trio play at my wedding ceremony and it added a perfect touch. They learned a string version of one of our favorite songs for our processional and rendered it beautifully. 5 out of 5 for everything!

I am a local wedding planner who booked this vendor on behalf of my client. Allison was extremely flexible in scheduling and was a joy to work with on the wedding day. Despite all of the issues we encountered that day, Allison kept her cool, played everything she was contracted to play, and worked with my team to receive ques since the ceremony was in another language. I reached out to Allison while looking for a musician to play at our wedding reception. Her prompt and friendly responses to all my inquiries quickly had her stand out from the rest of the musicians I contacted. The professionalism she exhibited and the competitive prices she offered made her the clear choice.
We ended up choosing a violin and cello duet for the ceremony. I was looking in particular for some contemporary and less traditional music for the ceremony and her repertoire offered quite a variety to choose from. Allison was helpful in helping me choose the perfect music and when I was wanting a song that was not in her repertoire, she was able to accommodate.
On the day of the wedding, the reception music was just perfect. The music was played beautifully and I could not have asked for anything to have gone better. I will never forget the beautiful music that played on the most important day of my life and I am so glad and thankful that I found Allison to make the moment perfect!
