Will always remember my wedding blooms

I absolutely loved my wedding flowers and my bouquet and I could have not think of going with anyone else.
I appreciated Emily willingness to work with me and she immediately understood my vision. I was even able to meet with her in person in her studio.
From the initial consultation to the day of the wedding, she was always available to answer any questions and address any concerns that I had. Her and her team professionalism and expertise really shone through, and it was evident that they were committed to making sure that everything was perfect for my big day. My flowers were wonderful, nothing looked cheap and she even used ceramic bowls for the centerpieces from a Milwaukee artist. I really appreciated as well that most of my flowers came from her farm. Every little details were well-thought.

Highly recommend!

Were still raving about my wedding flowers a month after the wedding. Emily was amazing to work with and provided helpful guidance on how to shift our floral design due to the pandemic. Emily was honest and willing to work with our budget and understanding of the hardships that the pandemic caused, even as a business owner herself. Cant recommend her high enough!

How to get people who don't care about flowers to rave about them!

We give Emily and the entire Wood Violet team the highest praise and recommend them without reservation. Aside from creating an amazing visual display, Emily was an indispensable resource and trusted partner who handled every challenge with creativity, common sense, grace and good humor. She responded to some of our over-the-top requests with enthusiasm, but then gently guided us in a direction that gave us the most bang for our buck. It is very rare to find an artist who is also practical, organized, honest, professional, tactful, fun, AND funny!

Words don’t do justice in describing the quality and range of her design abilities; see for yourself on her website or Instagram. She gave us everything we asked for PLUS more than we ever imagined; we are glad that we gave her the freedom to interpret our ideas instead of boxed in by our original assumptions.

Amazing, eco-friendly greatness!

Working with Emily to plan the florals for my wedding day was SUCH an enjoyable experience! Emily is knowledgeable, experienced, and so professional! I came into my first meeting with Emily with a very specific vision in mind, but worried that since I lacked much floral knowledge, that she would have difficulty understanding what I was looking for. But throughout our meetings it become very clear to me that she saw my vision even more clearly than I did! On our wedding day, the florals were everything I could've dreamed of and more. We got so many compliments from all of our guests. I would recommend her to any bride in a heartbeat!

Working in the wedding industry for the last ten years and owning my own event company meant I knew exactly what I wanted in a florist. Emily is a local powerhouse, boss babe who created a business quite literally from the ground up. Wood Violet is eco-friendly and their preferred medium is locally grown flowers and foliage with a loose, natural, garden-y, a little messy, lush and bountiful style. Um, we were was SOLD. Their website boasts they are not fans of rules or convention and that's exactly the aesthetic we were looking for.

Our planning meetings with Emily were a blast. She understood our dark, slightly gothic/rock & roll, boho style from the jump and ran with it. She sourced beautiful black velvet for our bouquets. She found unique vessels for the mixed foliage and plants around the venue. She custom built an incredible copper pipe piece that floated above our head table, dripped in insanely beautiful greenery. WHATTTTTT.

The bouquets were out of this world. Emily and her team went above and beyond for us. Way beyond. We had a flip from the ceremony to the reception and the Wood Violet team literally made it all happen. They came back at the end of the night to collect rentals so we didn't have to worry about any of it. Seriously, guys, I provided probably the most laid-back, "meh whatever you want to do" direction to Emily and I got magic. MAGIC, I TELL YOU.

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Emily. Forever grateful for the beauty we were surrounded by on the most incredible day of our lives. Wood Violet is what's up, y'all!

Emily was amazing! We were a little nervous going with someone who doesn't know up front what flowers will be in season and available for our wedding date, but she more than delivered. We loved the flowers that she picked to fit within our color scheme. We came in with minimal ideas and she helped us bring our vision to life. She even worked with our family to add personal touches to the bridal bouquet. We loved working with her and her laid back personality. She was a very calming presence for last few stressful months of wedding planning. We would highly recommend Wood Violet!

Choosing Emily and Wood Violet for our wedding was by far one of the best decisions we could have made for our special day! Our planning meetings were so fun and relaxed and Emily was always very responsive if we ever had questions or updates before our wedding. Our bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and all decorations provided by Wood Violet were absolutely gorgeous. They were natural and rustic, but also so elegant and polished. Emily also provided our chuppah and unique lighting and flowers to make it look so beautiful and special. We could not have been happier with our experience and I would highly recommend Wood Violet to all couples in Milwaukee!

Emily was absolutely fantastic to work with. We really liked the idea of locally-grown flowers and so contacted Emily to set up a meeting. She was very accommodating with our work schedules and meet with us one evening going over our general ideas as well as learning more about us. She also provided us with vases, pedestals, and table numbers and had many options for us to choose from. Emily seemed to "get" us and our vision right off the bat - we had our ceremony and reception at the Milwaukee Art Museum, and wanted simple bursts of fall color. On the day of, we were not disappointed. The bridesmaids' bouquets, which were repurposed as centerpieces for the head table, were beautiful and my bouquet was exactly what I wanted. The ceremony flowers were just as beautiful. Further, Emily was able to stick within our budget and create a masterpiece all while being SO responsive and communicative. I never had to worry about not hearing back when I had questions. Overall, her professionalism and her artistry truly helped to make our wedding beautiful.

Wood Violet was absolutely amazing to work with! Emily was so accommodating and truly listened to what we wanted with our flowers and decorations! Every single flower was exquisite!!!! So in love with everything. I can't even throw them out 1 month after my wedding. My bouquet is dried out now that we are done with everything and it is still incredibly beautiful. Emily listens to you and is able to pinpoint exactly what you want to fit your personality and style. I wouldn't have chosen any other florist <3

Emily is AMAZING! My wedding flowers were beautiful and I got so many compliments about them. I was a little hesitant because I didn't know what they would look like until they were delivered on the big day. I was not disappointed, and in fact she exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to use Emily and Wood Violet for all my floral event needs.

The flowers we received from Wood Violet may have been my favorite aspect of our reception; we ordered 5 buckets of seasonal wildflowers, and had a flower arranging "party" the day before to assemble them into mason jars. The flowers were absolutely GORGEOUS. They were exactly what we had envisioned; fresh, local, beautiful and fragrant. We also spent a lot less on flowers by going "DIY" than if we had gone for a traditional floral package, and the result was better than we could have hoped for. My mom/aunt/cousin and I are not professional floral designers, but the quality of the flowers we received was so high that the final product came out looking like we were pros! Can't say enough good things about Wood Violet.

Emily created the most beautiful bouquets and corsages for my summer wedding! She took a vision and made it into a stunning reality. She was so kind and easy to work with. Of all the vendors we acquired for the wedding stems was far by the best! Helpful, friendly, accomodating. Above and beyond what I predicted. She decorated the bridge with my produsts and banner with my simple direcrions. Self starter did not need to be monitered. Floers were fresh and unbelievable. I would most highly reccommend. Emily at Stems was so amazing to work with! She helped us to make the rehearsal dinner and the wedding just a beautiful experience. She spent a lot of time with us to make sure the feel was what we were going for, and completely got my vision even though I didn't have a lot of set-in-stone specifics. My bouquet was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and didn't want to set it down all night. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking for a competent, lovely person to work with.
Just a note- she grows all her own flowers so what she provides is seasonal, beautiful, and local. It is wonderful to support a locally grown business.

I was absolutely thrilled with my wedding flowers! I'm wasn't very specific with my requests as I am not as educated on flower types as some brides might be- but Emily took my ideas and made the arrangements better than I could have ever imagined. She used unique flowers as well as some traditional, the table arrangements were exactly what I wanted- very natural, nothing stuffy. She was so great to work with, very calm and got back to me very quickly. I would definitely recommend her to every bride in the area- I couldn't have been happier!

Stems Cut Flowers provided an excellent service for our wedding. I was able to see where the flowers were grown which I found to be very unique. Emily provided us with flexibility and wonderful customer service. We received an extra boutineer and corsage. The sunflowers were beautiful and not too large. The lisianthus was a beautiful deep royal purple. Matched our colors perfectly. I would recommend Stems to any of my friends. I couldn't be happier and am very pleased.

Emily of Stems Cut Flowers provided bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for my wedding, as well as arranging the centerpieces and decor for our reception and ceremony space. I was very pleased with all of her work and I found her very easy to work with. For the most part, I was communicating with her long distance, and she was extremely responsive by email. We weren't really sure what we wanted for the decor, but she created a pinterest board to give us some ideas and made great suggestions. We wanted to minimize the use of cut flowers (although the flowers we did use were local and gorgeous), so the decor mostly consisted of potted plants and trees which I thought turned out great. Emily even had chuppah poles for us to use and set them up for us and decorated them beautifully. I could not have asked for anything more from our florist.

Emily at Stems was a joy to work with! It was important to us to have locally grown flowers at our May 18th wedding. Initially, I was concerned the flowers wouldn't be as vibrant or dramatic as traditional florists but wow I was wrong! Gorgeous colors decorated my reception site and my interesting and aromatic bouquet lasted for nearly a week!

We were really happy with our wedding flowers. Emily is so talented and creative with her bouquets and arrangements. Emily was so great to work with! I appreciated her down-to-earth attitude and she's a great listener. She really made sure she understood what I wanted so she could make my day special. I recommend her to any brides out there! Also, during the summer she also vends at local farmers' markets, such as the Tosa Farmers' Market. Definitely, definitely check out her booth! I can honestly say that as a Wedding Planner, Emily is a dream to work with. Her professionalism, creativity, and artistic eye are not to be matched. Emily made this experience so easy and extremely fun. She really listened to what I wanted and made it happen. I could not find any other business that would do that, let alone find anyone with more beautiful flowers. Her selection was amazing and if she doesn't have something you want she will go out of her way to find a way to get for you. Working with Stem Cut Flowers was very easy - even for a destination wedding where all correspondence was via email and over the phone. My flowers turned out beautifully and Stem Cut Flowers was incredibly accommodating. I would definitely recommend them!

I cannot say enough good things - Stems Cut Flowers was amazing to work with. We wanted locally grown flowers to fit with our theme and Emily was so fun and easy to work with. I didn't have a specific idea of what I was thinking for flowers, and she helped me narrow down ideas and come up with lots of creative options. On the actual wedding day, she delivered beautiful flowers, and the boutonnieres for the guys had hops and lavender in them - which was so unique, beautiful for pictures, and smelled heavenly. I recommend her so, so highly, and cannot say enough good things! We were very happy with everything!

She was extremely easy to work with and had answers to all of my questions. I was really pleased with the selection after we met in person, and she took detailed notes to make sure she considered each part of the wedding from the colors to the atmosphere to the types of flowers I liked. I brought her several samples of bouquets and boutonnieres that I preferred, and when everything came to my house on the day of the wedding, I was very excited by the variety and her attention to detail. I also found that the price for the flowers was a great value, and it cost less than I had anticipated, especially considering the fact that I got all the flowers for my tables, extras for decorations, boutonnieres, tiny bouquets for my flower girls, flowers for the bridal party, corsages, and my bridal bouquet. I've already recommended her to several of my friends. I am very happy with how everything turned out.

I had virtually no idea what I wanted or needed in terms of flowers for my wedding. I did, however, know that I wanted flowers that were local and sustainable. And Emily of Stems Cut Flowers delivered exactly that!

Emily, from the beginning, was extremely helpful and flexible. She took my few thoughts and turned them into beautiful arrangements for my wedding! One of my favorite parts of working with Stems was that the final decision of the particular flowers was left up to nature, to some degree. (Which is not to say she wasn't willing to work to get the flowers I wanted from other growers she was in contact with!) Emily also worked with me in doing a bit of DIY, and offered lots of options as far as other decorative elements--I could either rent or bring my own.

And, living in Chicago, I was only available to meet with Emily once, but she was very quick to respond to emails and changes I made throughout the process. The flowers made the reception, and I couldn't recommend Stems more!

Emily helped us out with our relatively low-budget wedding by providing gorgeous bulk flowers and some corsages/boutonnieres/bouquets. I was looking for a place that grew flowers in a sustainable way and provided natural-looking, in-season arrangements, and Stems was perfect for this. Emily was flexible with our pick-up date and time and was wonderful to work with, and the flowers still sat around our house for a week after the wedding, looking absolutely beautiful!

We were so overwhelmed when we started planning our wedding. Emily was so helpful in guiding us on our path. The cost was lower then most other places we found, the flowers were beautiful and Emily was a delight to work with.

Emily of Stems Cut Flowers was such a pleasure to work with...from the moment I contacted her months before my wedding to after the wedding was over, she was professional, warm, friendly, and reasonable. She allowed me to tour her farm and get to know how she worked and grew the flowers. I was a DIY-er, and she made suggestions to me I might not have thought of. She was also flexible—she accommodated my visits to the farm and my flower pick up. Most of all, her friendly demeanor (not to mention her impeccably beautiful flowers--they were everyone's favorite thing at the wedding) was what made me so happy I found her. To have a vendor that grows such beautiful flowers locally in a sustainable manner was wonderful; to also have the type of individual customer service that Emily had was amazing, and made me and my family so happy! I would recommend Stems to anyone.

Emily is wonderful. She did an absolutely beautiful job with my bouquet, the corsages, centerpieces, and my bridesmaids bouquets. It was important to me to buy flowers locally and support a local business so Stems worked out perfectly for me. I worked with Emily a lot through email since I live in NY and got married in WI. Emily was very responsive and met with us when we were in WI visiting prior to the wedding. I can't say enough positive things about Emily and her business. Absolutely wonderful!

Emily did the flowers for my wedding and reception in August 2009. She did a great job! There was a nice variety of flowers and they coordinated with my colors and the overall look I was hoping for. They were locally grown, which was great, and the quality of the flowers was excellent. She was wonderful to work with- very flexible and professional. I highly recommend her!

Emily was very helpful from the first time I contacted her with my DIY plans for my daughter's August wedding. Her website listing of flowers and bloom times made my planning easier. Although in the end I bought far fewer flowers from her than I originally expected, due to more availability in my own and friends gardens, the bridal bouquet was made up of Stem's flowers and was stunning. With two more daughters, I hope to be able to work with Emily again in the future.

Of all my wedding vendors, this was unfortunately my only disappointing experience.

I was very excited to be supporting a local independent vendor, and I was very impressed with her photos, and with her during our meetings. However, when I went to pick up my flowers 2 days before my wedding, they were NOTHING like what I had requested.

My wedding decor had been planned around a profusion of flowers in a certain palette of colors (which was emphasized during all our meetings and correspondence), and I did not get nearly the number I expected, nor were they in all the colors I asked. Additionally, I asked for LOTS of a certain flower, and got only a few stems of that flower, and specifically said I HATED a different kind, and apparently ended up with lots of those instead. Most florists' contracts will say they can substitute similar flowers in the event the ones you want aren't available, but I felt like they should not have been substituted with something I SPECIFICALLY said I can't stand... Also, though I did not request a large elaborate bridal bouquet, what I got was microscopic.

My heart literally sank when I saw my flowers. Fortunately my family is fabulous, and between my mother-in-law's garden and local supermarkets we were able to supplement the flowers we bought from Stems, and ended up with a beautiful end result (we had to combine my bouquet with the bridesmaid bouquets in order to make up something that even approximated a small-medium bridal bouquet, and then made new bridesmaid bouquets...) We got a lot of compliments on the flowers, however only after spending several hundred dollars more elsewhere, and spending a sleepless night rearranging all the flowers.
