  Beautiful Place and Excellent Service

  I recently had my wedding here and my personal experience was great! Wanda was so helpful with the planning and answering any questions I had. The day of the wedding she made sure everything ran smoothly and in the end everything went perfectly! The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and great too. The florist, Joan, did an amazing job on all of my center pieces and the bouquets, all I did was show her pictures and colors of what I wanted and she went above and beyond my expectations! That being said, there were a lot of fees with certain things but, nothing was tacked on without my knowledge. Wanda always let me know if something was going to cost more and gave me other options to save money. For instance, to use their platters for the cookie table it was a $350.00 charge (which is pretty expensive for platters) but she said I could just bring all the cookies pre plattered, which I did, and saved $350 and it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. I am a pretty laid back and easy going person and my wedding didn’t consist of a lot of the extra add ons so that may be why my experience was different than others but to me, Springwood was excellent, gorgeous place and I definitely recommend using them for your wedding.

  If you are considering this venue it is beautiful and a must see. We had our ceremony here and it was gorgeous and the people were friendly. They even gave us a picture in a beautiful frame right after our ceremony! The only thing was it was a little pricey for a winter ceremony. But they decorated and created the music and really did most of the ceremony stuff. I think this is a wonderful choice.

  You may have seen this review on other sites, but I thought it should be posted on at least two sites since it was such a lovely wedding.
  
  We had our wedding here just a week ago, and it was absolutely beautiful! From the moment we drove on the tree-lined drive up to the atrium, we knew this was the perfect, picturesque setting for our ceremony and reception.
  
  Wanda and Janet made sure our day ran smoothly, on time, and was done flawlessly. Joanne is very talented, and our centerpieces and bouquets were exquisite. My husband, I, and every single guest enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. We have received nothing but glowing reviews and compliments from every attendee.
  
  I cannot thank the entire staff enough for spending so much time planning with us, helping us with our many questions, and having patience with any changes we made. I would highly recommend Springwood. Every guest commented, :How did I not know of this place?" I asked myself the same question ~ it's truly the perfect setting.

  My venue supplied the food. We chose from a different variety of packages and selected doing the food stations. Everything was delicious and my guests were able to go back up multiple times to get more food.

  We just had our wedding here this past weekend and we were so happy with everything! The reason I chose this venue is because they took care of so much for us, and I definitely appreciated this on the big day. Literally all I had to do was drop a few things off that morning and make sure my few vendors (photographer, DJ, and cake) got there...other than that I just had to show up. It was so nice to be able to focus more on enjoying my big day than centerpieces and place settings. And everything turned out amazing! We got so many compliments on the food and how classy and beautiful our wedding was. The setting is of course gorgeous, so I can't want to see how our pictures turned out. We of course paid for the large amount of work the Springwood staff did, but it was worth every penny! Overall, the staff the day of was great too. The wedding coordinator at this venue is hard to work with at times, but in the end she gave us everything we wanted and we couldn't be happier! I would definitely recommend this venue to other couples!

  Good experience

  I recently had my wedding at Springwood (ceremony at the Villa, reception at the Manor), which was absolutely gorgeous! The flowers (done in-house by Suzie) were absolutely stunning, I received numerous compliments from my guests. The food was amazing, my only regret is not eating more! All of the staff were very nice and accommodating. Overall, a very great experience

  I wish I would have taken the reviews I read on this venue more seriously before we booked them. I thought, "there is no way that would happen to us!" and it all did. We were left with a bitter taste in our mouths after our Springwood reception. The reason I say this is an unfortunate combination is because of how absolutely gorgeous the venue is compared to the overall experience. It was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't find that setting anywhere else in the area. Also, the food was really good! Other than that, we were very disappointed overall. It makes me upset to know that our one and only wedding day was not treated as exactly that. It was extremely hard to contact the event coordinators even up to weeks before our wedding. Details we discussed over and over were not honored when the day came, our outside vendors were treated badly, and we paid beyond our budget for what we thought would be our "dream wedding" at Springwood. I think I was most hurt that we STILL have not heard from them months after our wedding to write a review or to see how everything went for us when every other vendor has asked us to review their services. I was able to award 5 stars to every other vendor we worked with and couldn't have been happier with the other companies we hired! I think this additional lack of post-communication to improve as a company is unprofessional and is another tell-tale sign of the quality of their services. I hate to write a negative review- I am normally not that kind of person, however, if our experience can be of any help to future couples considering this venue, great!

My fiancee and I assumed the bad reviews were outliers but regret not listening to them. They kept misleading us and raising prices. In the end we gave up trying to get our deposit back and ended up saving $10,000 regardless going to a much nicer downtown establishment, with better food, better scenery, a menu that is amazing and not sub-par. The staff are not caring or helpful either. We had a difficult time getting a hold of them until we cut ties and wrote a review. We then were able to hear plenty from them. While the gardens are beautiful you're likely to get a headache planning your wedding with them. If we lived in the area and had more time to view other establishments we would have never made a contract with them in the first place. Though we lost our deposit, we will still end up paying less overall than we would have and have a place that is much better in every way. Do yourself a favor and read all of the reviews for this place if you are seriously going to consider them and be mindful of what they promise and write it all down.

  Although Matthew signed a contract with Springwood for a wedding reception, he has no legitimate basis to either assess Springwood as a venue or review its current or former staff. Note that this review was posted before he and Estelle were married elsewhere! This couple never "cut ties" (they were declared to be in default of their contract); they were never misled; and never had their contractual price raised. Both Matthew and Estelle were informed verbally and in their written and signed contract that their deposit was NONREFUNDABLE. This deposit continues to be nonrefundable despite Matthew's internet bullying. Incidentally, WeddingWire is complicit in this process by allowing Matthew to post such unverified assertions on their website.
