Roz and Justin were great! My dress fit perfectly and looked amazing. One of my bridesmaids had to come in for some emergency alterations on the Friday before my wedding--Roz had them done the very next morning! So glad they moved into a new space--the first location was a bit tight! Roz will make sure that your dress is fairly priced and looks perfect!

So helpful choosing the perfect dress

Spring Lake Bridal did a wonderful job showing us the perfect dress. They helped us choose a dress that was perfect for my daughter's body type, met her check list of wants, and fit our budget! The detailed help and attention to detail were top-notch!

I came to Spring Lake Bridal on a whim while I was in town a couple weeks after I got engaged. Do not be surprised by the size of the store- while it may be small they have a HUGE selection of gowns. I found THE dress here AND it was an amazing deal. If you are a bride on a budget (every dress is under 1,000) BUT want a lux and gorgeous gown- make sure to check Spring Lake Bridal out.

After trying a few other bridal boutiques in the area (and finding a dress at one that the price magically went up by $100 after I asked to come back a week later when my sister and maid of honor would be in town) I was skeptical about another one. I was wrong. Staff was super helpful and friendly, listened to what I was looking for and helped stay in my budget. I would 100% recommend Spring Lake Bridal and will tell everyone to check it out for wedding or prom. Thanks for turning my not great experience into a fantastic one!

I tried on numerous dresses at various bridal boutiques and was extremely happy with Spring Lake Bridal. They let me browse the racks without any pressure and I had an attentive staff member help me in and out of dresses the entire time. They did alterations in a very timely fashion and I got my dress at a great value!

I would highly recommend Spring Lake Bridal if you are looking to purchase your wedding dress or your wedding party's dresses. Their prices are fantastic and so is their selection! They have so many dresses in stock and are very helpful if you are looking for something specific. They are very professional and always had answers for any questions we came up with. I spent several hours there trying on dresses between two appointments and they were always so patient and helpful which I really appreciated. I also loved that I could meet my seamstress at the shop and that they had a list of seamstresses they would recommend. On top of all of this, I almost forgot to get my dress pressed and was able to drop it off just 2 days before I needed it. Spring Lake Bridal has much more personal, helpful staff and the dresses are much better quality than those I found at other shops.

I used them for my Dress and Bridesmaid dresses, also the tuxes. they were friendly, helpfully, and polite to everyone in my bridal party. I had one bridesmaid that gave the wrong measurements and she came in the week of the wedding, lets just say there was no way to make that dress fit so they help me find a dress that would do and even made a sash for it..they stayed open late to do that . Let me tell you i really appreciated the extra help there.. Thanks again Spring Lake Bridal, my wedding was awesome thanks to your help.

I enjoyed working with spring lake bridal. The staff was always friendly to me. The tux sizes were a little off but I am sure that this is a common issue with any tux rentals. My experience was overall very good and I would recommend any future brides to check them out.

Not only did I order my dress at SLB but also my bridesmaid dresses! They have designers that many others in Grand Rapids don't have! The prices there are awesome... you feel like your getting a wonderful deal! They even do coupons! One issue we did have which I can't put all the blame on them, was measurements for my bridesmaids. We had to get some major alterations done on 3 out of the 4 dresses. We even had a case were the dress stated it was the same size as another but wasn't... that would be a designer issue though. Great people... very down to earth... GREAT DEALS!

They offer beautiful dresses at good prices. I liked the variety of sizes that I could try on and different styles of dresses. They were very nice people to work with and strived to come to a price that I was happy with. They even allowed me to buy a brand new sample dress at a discounted price, rather than ordering a brand new one.

Overall very happy with this vendor. It may not be the best place to go if you're looking for the "wedding dress experience," but they definitely know their stuff and you will get a great price on the dress.

This store is the largest I've been in around here. They had a huge variety for me to try on. And the prices were the best I've seen anywhere. Don't be taken in by $99 sales elsewhere they don't compare. They had all kinds of other things too like lingerie "SPANX" which I needed. They were just so helpful with everything.

I got my bridesmaids dresses here for 5 girls. They were all measured and the dresses were ordered by there measurements not their sizes. When the dresses came in late because of Alfred Angelo they all fit the girls. All that needed to be done was the hems and the busts. They only got charged $25. The dresses looked great and the service was wonderful! I also got a pair of shoes there and had them dyed royal blue to match the bridemaid's dresses. They looked great!

I'm so glad I discovered Spring Lake Bridal! They did a fabulous job with the alterations at an unbeatable price. The place I bought my dress wanted to charge $90 for a HEM, and SLB charged me $25. All of the alterations I got done (hem, bustle, some stitching at the bust) cost almost half the cost of just the hem at the place I bought my dress. I also bought shoes for my bridesmaids and I and was thrilled with the quality of them. SLB sells shoes from different companies and then will dye the shoes for free! You can't beat that. Justin even gave me 15% off the shoes because I mentioned I wanted to try to keep the shoes cost-effective for everyone. They went over and beyond to accommodate me and I had a wonderful experience with them. Thanks Spring Lake Bridal!

Thank you, Spring Lake Bridal! They had a lovely selection at this small shop, so that even after searching around at a dozen larger boutiques, I still returned here and bought my dress. It was relaxing to try on dresses here, especially as compared to the aforementioned larger boutiques, with the helpful staff. Very inexpensive alterations.

My dress was absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. The alterations were perfect, and it fit me like a glove, but it took a few attempts to get there. We had some trouble making sure that all of the bridesmaids dresses were uniform in length and size. I think a few mistakes were made somewhere along the way, but they worked with us to get them resolved. They also worked with us on pricing, which was fantastic.

I have mixed feelings about SL Bridal. I ordered BM dresses and Tuxes here. There was multiple times where some of the staff were rude to my wedding party. In the end, everything worked out fine and dresses and tuxes worked out. The son was very responsive and apologetic when his mother would get flustered (which we appreciated), but what my bridal party remembers is not the apologies but the frustrated mother. :(

I have mixed reviews. I was happy with my dress and the alterations. They have a good selection of dresses and the prices are good. But when my mom went to pick up my dress, they just gave it to her hanging on a hanger. No bag or anything around it. I was told it was going to be put in a garment bag and packed up nicely, but it wasn't. The girl working eventually took a plastic bag off another dress and put it on mine. Which i guess was better than nothing, considering it was raining outside.

update: i did buy my dress at spring lake bridal and had alterations done there.

well considering i never stepped foot in a david's bridal store..i find it hard to believe my dress came from there, especially since i have a receipt saying i bought it from spring lake bridal.

Terrible place to get alterations

My wedding is this Saturday. My dress that I got from spring lake bridal is strapless (I wanted cap sleeves added to it). A month ago the cap sleeves were cut out and the seamstress told me she measured where they needed to go and that when I came in this past Friday.. my dress would be ready to go. I came in Friday & the cut out of the sleeves were laying in the bag not even touched. So she measured me again and it was supposto be finished today, along with some sort of rhinestones on the sleeves so it matched my dress. I went in today and she used snaps to snap the sleeves to the dress, so they could be removable, which is what I wanted but there are only 4 snaps and pieces of fabric that sticks out and she told me just to tuck the loose lace in. if she told me the snaps would not look right... we could have avoided all of this and just sewn the sleeves on & there were no rhinestones on it. I would be SO embarrassed to wear the dress on my wedding day. I paid $90 for alterations when I have to bring it to someone else tomorrow and pay them to fix it. Also, it has been a nightmare with my bridesmaids also. I picked up my sisters dress today as well, it is not pressed like she said it would be and there is also a hole where she was supposto alter it. I’m overall just very disappointed with my experience.

I did get a GORGEOUS dress for a very reasonable price here. They promote their Eden Bridal dresses because they said that company is great to work with. I was not rushed out of the store or limited to the amount of dresses I could try on. I had a great experience trying on dresses here! They have remodeled their store and have better/cleaner dressing rooms now. You should make an appointment to try on dresses though. If you just stop in, it totally stresses them out if they don't have a room available, even if you are fine waiting for one. I had this happen when I stopped in to try on a belt with my dress that I had already purchased. Just wanted to see the vision come together and make sure the colors matched. Unfortunately, I ended up not having the greatest customer service here. If they say they are going to call you back, THEY DON'T. Even if they didn't have the information I was calling about yet, they should ALWAYS call back when they say they are going to, to tell you they are still working on it. I paid extra money to have my dress a custom length since it was cheaper than having it hemmed later. It seemed that once they realized I was not going to be doing my alterations there, the friendly smile ended. I chose somebody more conveniently located to me that was cheaper and higher quality for alterations--that I knew. I could not believe how many times they said they would call back and never did. The dress ended up not coming in the proper length and I was given the run-around by different people about why. The supposed great company to work with, Eden Bridal, was all of a sudden not great to work with (what they said). They did end up rectifying the situation, or so they said they did. My mom has yet to see the refund they said they would do on her credit card. And the wedding is over. So yes, there are definite improvements needing to be made. But overall, I got my dress & kept my wallet in tact.

All of the other reviews are correct in the fact that they have a very large and diverse selection of dresses. They even have dresses to try on for bigger brides and bridesmaids, which was awesome, sometimes it's embarrassing to go into trendy stores where their samples only go up to size 12. They also have great prices. HOWEVER, DO NOT GET YOUR DRESSES ALTERED THERE!!!! Two out of my four bridesmaid dresses were practically RUINED from a simple hemming job. The hems looked as if they had been burned with an iron, they were skewed at weird angles instead of draping gracefully and they were also curling at the hems. One dress just skimmed the floor in the back and she was tripping over the front! I brought them back and asked her to re-do them and she did, but they were WORSE!!!! They also did not come in until about a week and a half before the wedding, which almost gave me a heart attack. (Ordered in May, wedding was in Sept.). Then I get a call say a groomsmen forgot to tell them the shoe size? Aren't THEY supposed to ASK the shoes size when fitting the men for tuxes? Sigh... nice dresses, good prices, too much headache.

Where do I start? If you are a bride with a tight budget as many of us are, this is a place for you to consider. I was taken back by how competitive and affordable their gowns are and my being pleased with their prices overshadowed the "experience" component I hoped to have. Their sample dresses are in good condition but the store itself lacks in appeal and is akin to a nice pole barn.

The staff appeared to be very accommodating at first and then things got weird fast. I had to get a dress off the rack. The dress was clearly marked $999 as it was a sample. All of their samples are labeled with a discounted price. When it was time to pay for the gown, they tried to charge $2,400. This on top of the fact they advertised the same sample as being $999 on Facebook and Twitter. Their website even says they price match and this particular gown was sold nowhere for $2400. So all said and done, they knew I needed a dress fast and I assume were looking to make some extra money out of the deal. Not cool.

I did not have a good experience with Spring Lake Bridal. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and the dresses did not arrive until almost three weeks after they were supposed to. When I went in to get my dress on the date that we were told the dresses would be in (for the 2nd time) I was very rudely told that the dresses were not in and wouldn't be until the following day. Mind you, at this point the dresses were 2 1/2 weeks late. No apologies were ever given and I was made to feel like I incovenienced them for inquiring about the dress I paid $150 for. I would not recommend Spring Lake Bridal to anyone in the future. A simple and sincere apology would have easily put my mind at ease about my dress not being in when they said it would be (twice) but instead I was treated rudely. Unfortunate because I really do like to see small business thrive and stay in business...but not when customers are treated like I was.

My overall experience and feelings towards this business is completely awful. I went here for my bridesmaids dresses, a friends wedding dress, and her bridesmaids dresses.
Just going to say, my friend was able to find a dress she loved for a good price, but sadly that's all I have to say good for this place.
When I had gone there for my bridesmaids dresses I was trying to price compare, since that is one thing they say they do. The owner is who I ended up talking to, since the unprofessional and rude guy that works there wasn't willing to work with me. Eventually she took a little bit off the price but never really honored their "match lower prices."
Then we go on to my friends bridesmaids dresses, they didn't honor the "match lower prices" and they were ridiculously rude and unprofessional. They quoted us one price for alterations, but the person that told us that clearly had no reason being on the phone that day, because he had no idea what he was doing. we told them that we weren't paying the prices and he had a total flip out melt down and yelled at me.
I gave them a second chance because it is a local business and felt like they should get customers, but with their lack of professionalism, I have no idea how they are still open. I really hope i never have to step foot in that store again for a friends wedding.

Nothing like trying on bridal gowns are some creepy guy in the background looks around no idea what this is about but totally a weirdo

Went here for an open house and just pulling up we were hesitant to go inside. Decided to go in and what a mistake. I was helped by 3 associates who all said the same thing when I asked for help and really did not help me at all. This place is a hole in the wall where you go in and find your own dresses and try them on by yourself and you better bring undergarments because none are offered. This place was dirty and the staff was unhelpful and kind of creepy. They just repeat the same things over and over even after you give them a description of what you are looking for. The fitting room was large, but had hooks hanging out of the wall like I use to hang my bike in my garage and a nasty old chair and an old school chair and a sign that read don't put dresses on floor or you will be asked to leave. Wow. Thought I should throw the 1 dress that I liked on the floor so they would ask us to leave instead of trying to loop us into staying longer. No mirrors that I saw. Shocked that they were on 8 west! That threw me way off and had me expecting much more. Prices on dresses were good, but personally i would rather pay the little bit extra for good service. Prices aren't any better than David's Bridal and I had excellent service at David's Bridal!

I would not recommend Spring Lake Bridal to any bride for any services. My wedding was in July and my mom and my sister bought their dresses there and had them altered there. The alterations were atrocious! Their dresses did not fit correctly at all even after raising their concerns to the alterations person. We also got all of our tuxes for the guys there. We were told that if they needed they could get replacement pieces if they didn't fit right the next day, Saturday, at noon. Well the day before the wedding, all the groomsmen went to get their tuxes and were told that that was what they got and they couldn't get replacements. I won't even get into what they screwed up on my sister's wedding dress.

I hope brides will choose the bridal experience and go to a shop that really cares about you and your special day and not people who just see dollar signs walking through the door.
