Our DJ (Matt Ammons) was AWESOME. He took care of coordinating the entire evening from cocktail hour, to wedding intro's, to toasts, to bouquet/garter toss...etc. He gave us a heads up before each "event" and had a positive attitude. He had the perfect balance of involvement and knew exactly which songs to play to keep people on the dance floor. The sound system itself was amazing and went through without a hitch all night long.
Throughout the planning and prep process, he was readily accessible through email, text, and phone and would respond quickly. There were multiple packages and options we could choose to fit our personalities and needs for the evening. If you have a larger reception, I recommend getting the package that allows for a DJ and DJ assistant - it worked perfectly for our day.
We didn't have to worry about anything the entire night and everyone LOVED the DJ. He even dealt with slightly intoxicated friends at the end of the night VERY well.
I would recommend this DJ and this company in a heart beat!

Having Sounds Abound for our wedding ceremony and reception was simply awesome! All of the staff we worked with were so helpful. We received emails frequently from a couple of staff members who offered assistance, answered our questions, and helped to keep us on track in the planning process. Everyone really helped us a lot! And our DJ Tony was fantastic!! He kept in contact frequently as well, and really worked with us to give us the experience we wanted. The ceremony music he provided was absolutely perfect, and the reception music & entertainment were amazing! Tony is such a fun DJ and he kept everybody entertained and made our day just so special. We are so glad to have had him! Everything about our experience with Sounds Abound was so professional and just awesome. Our experience with Sounds Abound was so incredible and stress free that I almost do not know where to begin. Sounds Abound was very flexible on allowing us to plan our entire event via phone and email, since we live downtown and do not own a car and both have extremely hectic work schedules, this was a HUGE plus. We chose Kyle Overbey as our DJ and we also got the pleasure of working with Rufus, who was our DJ Assistant for the night. We had an outdoor wedding ceremony and the cocktail hour and reception indoors, both Kyle and Rufus were quick and efficient in setting up and moving all of the equipment quickly. Kyle was an absolute pleasure to work with he helped us choose non-traditional wedding music, to make our wedding truly unique to our tastes. He had great advice and ideas to make our wedding ceremony and first dance a truly personalized experience. We knew from our first meeting with Kyle that we could trust his opinion and he would provide a great experience for every guest at our wedding. Simply amazing. worked with us from afar (Seattle) and let us make changes up to the last minute. I even changed the time line during the wedding and they were totally cool with it. I had Jeff Wells as my MC, and he was friendly to all my guests, family and the other vendors. He worked perfectly with my caterers and timed the evening out perfectly. Thank to Jeff and Sounds Abound I did not have to hire a planner. He took care of everything for me. I walked down the aisle 3 minutes early, because he was on top of seating everyone and getting the music timed just right. Very efficient group. Many guests thought that I had picked every last song. I only pick about 1/3 and he knew how to read the crowd and my song selections to create a song list that was best for the group. one guest even said that, "every song was perfect the wedding night".

Matt was our reception DJ, and he was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend Matt for your wedding or event! He really cared about the details of our wedding, and gave great suggestions. He contacted us months before the wedding and was very easy to work with. The night of the wedding he kept the dance floor completely packed!

I chose Kyle O. as my DJ for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier. He played all the right music and knew how to keep my guests on the dance floor. My husband and I used Kyle for our wedding and he was the BEST! He knew exactly what we wanted and seemed excitd to work with us!
From our first meeting he seemd to know exactly what we wanted. We went over music options, time lines, how to pronounce names and even cultural music (Cambodian music!).
Our wedding day was perfect and we are still getting stellar reviews! Kyle was so much fun the entire night. If a song didnt go over welll - he turned to a different song immediately. He danced the entire night - was so into the music - and got involved with the crowd. We had everyone on the dance floor the ENTIRE night (and even past the DJ's time!). Working with Sounds About was fantastic. David Wilner was our DJ and we could not have been happier with him. He kept everyone dancing all night and worked with my husband and I to incorporate any music we wanted. Everything ran smoothly with David, he made sure we had the time of our lives. All of our guests complimented us on how great David was. I would recommend David & Sounds Abound to anyone.

Sounds abound- extremely professional and helpful. Our selected DJ was David Wilner...super professional and fun! He made our night absolutely perfect. From playing the perfects songs to teaching the Wobble to my guests. He was very organized with everything. Is prime goal was to ensure we did not worry about anything wedding day and that we have a great time...and that we did! Thank you David for an amazing wedding!!!!

Tony was a FANTASTIC DJ! I think the most comments I received was about how great the music was. The best part was we only picked out about ten songs and Tony picked out the rest. He was very easy to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the future! The company also worked the price down a little bit as our wedding was on a Friday.

We had a wedding on September 29th, 2012 and used Sounds Abound Entertainment for our DJ services. We felt that the price was competitive for all of the services and upgrades we decided on (uplighting, additional lighting on the dance floor, photo montage). Their customer service was fantastic. On their website there are video clips available to view of each DJ to help you make an informed decision. We decided on David. From the get go we hit it off with him. He's very personable, has a great sense for what the bride and groom are trying to do, allowed us to pick as many songs to play as we wanted and then created a play list based of the general style of songs we requested. The cocktail hour and dinner music were exactly what we pictured when we explained to him what we were looking for. The meetings beforehand were very stress-free. We never felt forced into making decisions. David does a great job of laying out the plan of events and making sure that the bride and groom are taken care of. The day of the wedding David did a great job of getting people organized and clarifying the directions for the announcement of the parents, bridal party reception entrance etc....He played some rockin music which kept the dance floor going all night long. He brought a great amount of energy which I think helped set the tone for the party. We have received an overwhelming amount of compliments on how great our DJ was. I would highly recommend Sounds Abound and particularly David to any family and friends.

I would recommend Sounds Abound to anyone looking for a DJ service. The service is extremely professional, the website is user friendly and allows you to control as much or as little of the music as you want. All the staff if really great, and all are very knowledgeable.

We used Keith for our MC at our wedding and he was absolutely amazing! We never met in person prior to the wedding day, but we had several conversations over the phone and I felt really confident. We had a list of music we wanted to hear during the night, and we left the rest up to Keith to play for us. He asked what we wanted to avoid and what types of music/themes we wanted to stick with, and the night went perfectly.

Also, Sound Abound has a wedding shop that provides really great discounts on invitations and other miscellaneous accessories. I bought my invitations through their online store and loved them!!

We had Tim Yach as our DJ. My biggest concern to Tim was keeping our guests happy with the music and out on the dance floor all night. Tim was able to put my fears to rest and the dance floor was packed all night. We got great compliments from our guests all night in our song selection. We could not take the credit as it was all Tim!! Great job!! Sounds Abound is a great music company and I would highly recommend them to any future couple looking for a great DJ!!

Wonderful to work with.... Our DJ, Kyle, did such a great job at our reception. Multiple people commented to me about the music he was playing, they loved it. If I had to do my wedding over again, I'd absolutely pick Kyle and Sounds Abound again.

Perfect! We had Rufus from Sounds Abound for our DJ. First of all, the Sounds Abound website was easy to use in order to get our list of songs. We were also contacted several times by Sounds Abound with updates and making sure everything was going ok for us which was so nice! Then we were contacted by Rufus the week before the wedding. He knew right away what he was doing which was nice cause I sure didn't! During the reception he was absolutely wonderful! Made sure we knew what was going on at all times and even made sure to remind us of the bouquet and garter toss! But the best of all, I have never had so much fun at a wedding! Our entire guest list was on the dance floor from start to finish!!
