  Carrie was our favorite vendor we worked with on our wedding day. She was a pleasure to talk to in the run-up to the wedding, responsive and incredibly accommodating to our requests. On the day of, she was a calming and reassuring presence -- very relaxed and friendly, and did double duty helping everything run smoothly and on time. And best of all, the photos were beautiful! She is an experienced professional photographer, and it shows. She captured so many beautiful, romantic portraits of my husband and I, great portraits of our bridal party and families, as well as wonderful candid shots of us and our guests during the ceremony and reception. She also recorded some videos at our request, of our first look and the speeches, and did a great job editing and delivering those to us quickly. I would highly recommend working with Carrie! She is the best.

  What can I say--Carrie was an absolute blessing the day of our wedding. Her calming presence was great--and she really worked hard the entire day. It was really great working with her leading up to the day. When we were trying to pick photographers and interviewed several, I just really loved her personality and could tell we really clicked. After that we talked about expectations of the day, she also helped with the portrait lists and how to structure that. Again, once we got to the day of--she and our second photographer that she had, Dirk, were just absolutely amazing. We took engagement pictures in a different place with a different photographer and we felt a lot of our poses were forced and it just didn't feel natural. Because of that, a lot of our pictures didn't come out great. Carrie (and Dirk) had us posing but everything felt natural and seamless. She's already sent a few preview pictures and they already blow my mind--you can tell that both of us are very comfortable in the pictures (even when posed). It truly makes all the difference in the world. Just do yourself a favor, call her and hire her already! Her resume honestly speaks for itself in how great of a photographer she is!

  The photographs that Carrie and her shooting partner Chris took are fantastic. They really are amazingly talented. There were no "missed shots" or flubbed moments. We had a challenging ceremony to shoot due to back lighting, but we have hundreds of beautiful photographs now.

  Carrie and her team were charming, friendly, and very professional. Both the posed portraits and the candid shots were of excellent quality and exceeded our expectations. We are thrilled to have such thorough and polished documentation of our special day. We also loved the curated collection of photos on the blog; this was a great way to share a selection of images with our friends.

  Working with Carrie was such a delight. She went over and beyond with her services. She was alway available when I had a question and was even available to meet.   Carrie does an amazing job. My wife and I were married in October. After an extensive search for photographers (by far our single hardest vendor search) we found Carrie. We were both impressed with how different her photography was from the standard fare we had seen from so many others. Our engagement shoot only confirmed our belief in her talent. Not only are her and her husband, Hank, a talented team, but a true pleasure to work with. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and they both had a lot to do with that. Their calm demeanor and professionalism shone through and the end result was a series of phenomal photos.
  
  We look forward to working with Carrie again. When my wife turns 30, she'll be back to shoot the party!

  I cannot say enough about Carrie and Studio Blu Images. She and Hank were absolutely amazing at our wedding. She even came out a day early to take pictures of us in our Indian garb so we could have some photos for both sides of the family! When we were first looking at photographers, I saw her photos and fell in love with what I saw. She did NOT disappoint!
  Not only did she help us out every step along the way while planning our out of town wedding (helping me find a bakery for the wedding cake, a salon for the wedding party) she went above and beyond by sending me samples of wedding day timelines and photo lists so I made sure to get every picture we wanted and so that we weren't running too late. Those samples were invaluable to someone planning their own wedding without a wedding planner.
  During the wedding and all before, Carrie was never intrusive and always made us feel so comfortable. She really felt like I had a friend at my wedding who just happened to be taking pictures.
  Within a few days after the wedding she gave us a few pictures as a taste of what was to come. They were breathtaking.
  From there she posted pictures on her blog for us to share with people. But what really put Studio Blu over the top was this AMAZING slideshow on her wedding site. It was an amazing recap of the whole day and really let those who couldn't make it experience the wedding. Not to mention everyone who saw it got emotional seeing it all portrayed in such a beautiful way.
  I could go on and on about how amazing Studio Blu is, but there is nothing more to say than Carrie is by far the BEST photographer in Tampa/St. Pete and it was an honor having her and Hank at our wedding. I would recommend her to any of my family and friends. Thank you Carrie!

I love the candid photos of things I missed during the busy day, as well the portraits. The slideshow she made for me after the wedding was great!!! She was so patient when designing the photo album. I would and have recommended her to others!!!!!

  Wedding Photographry is a tough job. Managing a large wedding party, capturing all the important moments and providing a finished product that the bride and groom adore... Carrie did this with so much grace and did a wonderful job overall. Our pictures are beautiful and I would recommend Studio Blu to my closest friends.

  Carrie is great! She's been a newspaper photographer for years, so she's fast and able to capture real moments that happen in a split second. But she's also incredibly familiar with the wedding environment so she's able to predict a shot and set herself up in the right position. She provided so many shots I'm still not sure I've been through them all - and they were all up online within about two weeks of the wedding. Give her more time to shoot the candid photos than the formal portraits - they're so good you'll love those more!

They made us feel very comfortable during the shoot and we had so much fun with all the creative poses. Carrie's technique is very innovative. They really make you feel at ease and you can't help but have a blast! I love looking back at these breathtaking images...it's just like reliving that magical day all over again.   We just received our gorgeous Studio Blu Images wedding album, and I can't wait to show it off to all our family and friends. Working with Carrie was a fabulous experience. She is remarkably patient -- waiting in the hotel lobby when I was running late the day of the wedding, fitting in a gazillion family photos on an unexpectedly warm day, and later waiting as my husband and I took our time deciding what images we wanted to include in the album. She is also flexible, customizing a package to meet our needs, fitting in our "engagement" photo session just three days before the wedding, and taking an extra effort to fit all the photos we wanted in the album. Some of the images she captured are so perfectly framed, it's hard to believe they were spontaneous. I still get compliments on the photos I use on Facebook (Carrie was so quick to post photos there for everyone to see). And I can't wait to get the prints we ordered -- there's one from our engagement session that is just a stunner. My husband and I are both journalists, and a photojournalistic style was important to us. Carrie's experience as a news photographer made me comfortable that she would capture all the important moments with a sharpness that is often lacking in the work of less-experienced feature photographers. My one -- tiny -- disappointment is that we didn't consider the photo-friendliness of our ceremony setup, and I wish we had discussed it with Carrie beforehand so we had some better pictures of our faces. But overall, every important moment was captured in a beautiful way.

  Carrie Pratt was wonderful to work with. She does fabulous work. It was important to me to find someone who understood the style of photography we had envisioned for our wedding album. Carrie is both well-schooled (she has a degree in photojournalism) and is very experienced (she works for a major newspaper). We found her pricing to be comparable to others in the industry, and she was very flexible in working with our budget.

  I have to say that using Studio Blu Images was one of the decisions that I was most happy with from my wedding. I reviewed a ton of photographers prior to calling Carrie. I was definitely on a budget and was also looking for quality. I was a little overwhelmed and wasn't sure what to ask. Carrie answered questions that I didn't know that I had. She told me what I should ask from any photographer and gave me helpful hints even if I didn't choose her. One example was making a list of pictures that I wanted with different people and/or things. That way when I was in the moment I wouldn't look back later and wish I hadn't forgotten someone. On the day of the wedding Carrie was on time and very professional. She was helpful and put everyone at ease. Our wedding party commented on how great she was! After the ceremony she even helped me get the birdseed out of my hair. :) In the following weeks I received tons of comments from friends and family on what a great job they felt she did and they hadn't even seen the pictures yet. When I received my pictures and a wedding internet slideshow, I emailed it out to friends and family. EVERYONE LOVED THEM!! I have a lot of friends that have just gotten married or who are planning their weddings and all of them who have seen my pictures have commented that they thoughts ours were by far the best they have seen. I agree! I fully enjoyed my entire experience with Studio Blu Images, I promise that you will not be disappointed.

  Carrie is great at what she does, personable and has a good idea for how to best capture your day. For me, she worked within my budget and produced fabulous shots. She came to my house, went to the church, went to the reception. I'm not even sure if she actually ATE dinner that night. And, her personality makes her so easy to work with. My bridesmaids and groomsmen - and grandmother - often ask about Carrie. Out of all the vendors, they remember StudioBlu.
  
  Extra points: It was raining on my wedding day and yet somehow we still got stunning outdoor pictures. I really enjoyed the black and white images that added drama to my book.
  
  Tip: Give yourself more time than you think you need to move from venue to venue. We could barely leave the church for all the well wishing! And we needed to stay IN the church for photos. Also, if you plan to take pictures outside, please have a rain plan.
  
  Tip for Brides of Color: Carrie understands the nuance of skin tone. She can photograph you even if you are a chocolate lady wearing a bright white dress. I'm such a lady and my pictures came out perfect.

She was great to work with leading up to the wedding and is very responsive to email/phone, which was good since I was planning the wedding from out-of-state. We also did a walk-through of the venue and she shared some ideas on picture locations beforehand so that on the day-of we had primary and back-up locations which reduced everyone's stress level. Carrie also had a very quick turn-around with a few pictures the next day I could share immediately with friends (I didn't even have to ask for them!), and then a 5-minute slide show to music of my choice was available within a week. Her team got along so well with me and my extended family, and she was very organized and worked well with other vendors and the venue. Keep in mind that her packages are also very flexible, and she will tailor them to your needs. I can't say enough good things other than if you go with Carrie, you will be guaranteeing yourself a stress-free process when it comes to one of the most important aspects of capturing your special day.
