Sheryl is the best! I purchased my wedding dress at a bridal sample sale, so the dress that I bought was about 6 sizes too big for me. She assured me we could work with this. At our first fitting she discovered holes in the tulle layers of the dress, but not to worry-she handled all the coordination with the bridal shop, in which they paid for those alterations. She truly made the entire process so easy and fun. I live about an hour away and will drive to her any time that I need alterations. She is so sweet, her work is absolute perfection, and you cannot beat the value. -

Sheryl created a custom jumpsuit for me! I showed her two photos of 1 dress and 1 jumpsuit that I liked parts of, and she was able to beautifully combine the best parts of both. I felt even more the star of the show, even more than if I had worn a dress. Everybody loved the twist. It was also very easy to dance in. -

Working with Sheryl was incredible. She came highly recommended by several friends, all of whom used her for their wedding dresses. She is so friendly, sweet, professional, and knowledgeable. Honestly was one of the best wedding prep experiences! Would recommend her to anyone - worth a drive for sure if you aren't directly local. She's that good!! Also wanted to say that she was awesome to work with during the whole pandemic. She already had my dress complete so she arranged for a safe, contactless pickup. It all really meant a lot to me. She's just the best!! -

Skilled Seamstress and Wedding Guru
Sheryl was recommended to me from a relative who had been working with her for years. I can't recommend my experience enough, critiquing the way a wedding dress falls on your body cannot be an easy job, Sheryl was able to provide honest, polite and knowledgeable feedback about my dress, the fabric, the way it was falling etc. to put in place a plan to execute the perfect alterations and bustle for my wedding day. The dress was amazing and the bustle was the best bustle I've literally ever seen, it didn't take any focus off the back of my dress which was the entire reason I purchased it. Thanks Sheryl!! -

I received so many compliments on my dress and am still receiving them a month later. Sheryl charges a very fair price and is very flexible with your schedule. I really can't praise her enough! She books up very quickly so be sure to contact her well in advance :) -

She was easy to work with and very reasonable priced. She also makes custom wedding dresses which I wish I had known about! I would highly recommend her for other brides. -

In fact, the price she quoted me was $500 LESS than another seamstress had offered. She is very professional, has strong attention to detail, and has an obvious passion for what she does. I would highly recommend her services. -
User1795418 Sent on 09/04/2014Not too much to add to all the other glowing reviews -- I found Sheryl through here, which was a godsend, because she's friendly, flexible, good, and a good value. I was late getting out of Baltimore? No problem. The dress had a tricky side feature and hem? No problem. I couldn't decide between bustles and needed to go back and forth a few times? No problem. No need for multiple fittings because she got it all right the first time, except a minor bustle placement issue, which she altered on the spot. The only suggestion I'd make is to move around a lot in the dress and in front of a mirror and feel free to speak up. She had me do it some, but a boning thing that ended up sticking up a bit after a shoulder alteration ended up bothering me over the night, and it was my fault for not saying anything at the time. Like I said, she altered the bustle on the spot, so I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem, and it's something you wouldn't notice unless you're in the dress or move around a lot.
Bottom line: I drove all the way to Pasadena for a reason: she's great, a pleasure to work with, and comes in at half the price of most bridal shops/other alteration places. -
User1192707 Sent on 06/08/2013Sheryl was absolutely amazing...she takes extra time to make sure all the bells and whistles of the dress are perfect. She was able to increase my dress a few sizes without any of my guests knowing. She even has a machine that adds all the sequences and designs to match the original design. So easy to talk to and fair price. I had gone to another seamstress who wanted to cut my train in half to make the bodess fit me, however, Sheryl, for the same price, ended up leaving my train and worked her magic.
Would definitely recommend her to any bride who wants the alterations to be done right and no corners cut. -

Elizabeth Sent on 11/06/2012I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sheryl herself and the high quality of her work!! I was paranoid about altering my dress because I had heard mixed things from other brides about getting alterations done at an actual bridal salon. Brides on theknot recommended Sheryl so I contacted her and I am SO GLAD I did!!!! She is so kind, makes you feel completely comfortable and at ease, and really knows her stuff! She knew exactly what my dress needed, suggested bustle ideas, put in cups, and took my dress from a size 8 to a 2! The dress looked FLAWLESS on my wedding day, and fit perfectly. I don't think I own anything else that fits so well! I think at one point I said to her, "Wow, it looks like you didn't even do anything at all!" and she said, "That's the point!!" She is also VERY reasonably priced compared to what I have heard about getting alterations done at a salon. My parents also loved her, haha. She also MAKES dresses--bridal and bridesmaids, and her work is just amazing. Sheryl is just the best! -
User926013 Sent on 09/07/2012Sheryl did a wonderful job altering my wedding gown. She hemmed a difficult bottom that required removing an applique, brought in the top and rebeaded it, and worked in a gorgeous bustle. Her fees were very reasonable for the amount of work she did, and only needed one fitting to get the dress right. Also, she is a very nice person and very responsive with email.
