The perfect setting for our intimate gathering

We had our small (approx. 40 guests) wedding (ceremony & dinner reception) at Robinswood House in mid September and we loved it! It was still the perfect setting for our event.

Robinswood House is a hidden gem in the Greater Seattle Area! It’s right off of I90 so it was super convenient for us and our guests. The grounds are well kept and the gardens provided a gorgeous backdrop for our wedding. We didn’t need a lot of decor as the natural beauty of the place stood on its own. The house itself is well-appointed with everything needed for caterer setup and for the wedding parties to get ready.

Joanna and Mike were great partners in bringing our event to life! For the ceremony, we wanted a pretty specific setup and Mike made it happen! He was meticulous with all the measuring, testing out layouts, and making adjustments to ensure that things worked in the space. Our dinner reception was also held outdoors but the PNW being what it is, the weather turned the day before and we had to make a last minute decision to get a tent. Joanna was both effective and compassionate in handling the change: she assured us that “we’re in this together” and within minutes everything was sorted out. Planning a wedding can be stressful enough so it was refreshing to work with such a capable team at Robinswood House.

Highly recommend both for the venue and for the team behind it!

    Robinswood House rocks!

My daughter was recently married at Robinswood House. The beautiful setting was both rustic, classic and comfortable. Joanna and Michael and the rest of the team are commended for their professionalism and accommodation of requests. They were key in helping us attend to all the details that we surely did not know about or would have forgotten! Robinswood House, a special historic log cabin, was beautiful with spacious suites for the wedding parties. The grounds including the dinner set up, dancing and ceremony areas made for seamless execution of events. The venue's flexibility and inclusion of amenities like chairs and linens as well as assistance with planning were major positives. Overall, The Robinswood House was a great choice with outstanding service and dreamy atmosphere, making my daughter’s wedding truly special and unforgettable.

    Absolutely perfect park setting!

Robinswood House is the perfect setting for a Wedding, whether outdoors in the summer, or indoors in the winter. My daughter got married mid-August, and all the photography turned out absolutely stunning, mostly for the photo opportunities, ie; trails, buildings, wall hedge, gardens, flower baskets, and just the space in general. I found Joanna to be quite helpful with ideas, and worked with me on everything from the Bar service, to reaching out to other vendors regarding a Timeline etc. I thought the pricing was reasonable, considering there was ample parking, and the park-like setting. It was absolutely perfect for 100 or so guests, and can accomodate much more. I highly recommend this venue!

    Wedding Venue

We are so happy we picked Robinswood for our June wedding! We were already working on a contract with another venue but it was taking so long we thought we’d tour Robinswood, and after the tour, we both knew we had to have our wedding there! It was much less expensive, both charming and humble, and it was clear Joanna was super organized and would help with all the planning (and we were right – she and Mike did a great job asking the right questions and keeping us on track!).

The only thing about the venue that I’d known earlier was that only a certain number of people fit under the tents, if your wedding is during a time of year that might rain. We invited 170 guests and I wish we’d done more like 120 because it was very stressful trying to plan to squeeze everyone under that tent for dinner since unfortunately this spring lasted so long. It did work out and it was fabulous!

Another thing that is good to know is you won’t know your guaranteed rehearsal date until 30 days before. We made a few plans for anticipating possible times, since we couldn’t wait until a month before for family and wedding party to book flights. Since the venue is public during non-event hours, it is possible to rehearse on your own time as well, which is very convenient!

It is also good to be aware they have a list of caterers to pick from. We picked Twelve Baskets and they were amazing! Other things we liked about the venue is they provide tables, linen, arch, beer/wine and sound system, some décor, as well as a super hands on approach to planning, layouts and recommendations. Robinswood park is a beautiful place for photos, especially the forested areas.

Some more unique things we did were have live musician instead of DJ, set out lawn games and board games and played the Shoe Game instead of dancing, and have a popcorn bar and dessert time! Joanna helped coordinate for all of these, such as moving the ceremony setup out of the way for games. We didn’t feel like we had any big surprises on the day of because everything had been anticipated and planned for. And as you can see from the photos, everything looked magical!

    Gorgeous location and service!

Gorgeous setting and the team at Robinswood House is a joy to work with. The flowers and greenery already at Robinswood House in the summer are stunning. We just had a few centerpieces and the place looked amazing. Joanna was so helpful, understanding, and flexible as we had to postpone our reception due to covid. A gem of a venue!

    First Wedding of 2022

Seattle Bride-Robinswood House was the perfect place for our wedding and reception. The whole venue is beautiful, intimate, and romantic. Joanna and Mike go above and beyond to provide a professional venue experience.

    Great venue

This is a beautiful venue and the organizers are very helpful. We had a small wedding with around 20 people, and it was perfect. Location was also a big plus, as it is close to Bellevue and an I-90 exit.

    The perfect wedding venue

I have nothing but good things to say about Robinswood House. It was the first venue we saw in-person, and we knew in the first 5 minutes of being there that it was everything we wanted in a venue - absolutely gorgeous, convenient location, and reasonably priced. Management was kind, professional, responsive, and well-organized from the day we booked until the day of our wedding.
Our original wedding date was in 2020, and we heard so many nightmare stories about other venues from other couples who had to postpone their wedding. And to be honest, it would have been understandable if the venue did drop some balls in the chaos that was 2020 and even 2021. Not Robinswood House and, specifically, Joanna. She was so kind, flexible and informative through the pandemic chaos. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough.
Oh, and side bonus - when there isn't a wedding on, the Robinswood House gardens are open as part of the park. Which means we can easily go back and enjoy that place and the memories it holds for us in the future.

Highly recommend getting married at Robinswood!

Robinswood House was the absolute best venue for our wedding and made all of my visions come to life. To start, the space is so stunning and full of so much natural greenery and flowers that we didn't feel the need to overly decorate. The house is also a great backdrop and a perfect place to get ready with spacious bridal and grooms suites. Joanna and Mike were incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process and made sure that no small detail got overlooked. We heard from all of our guests how stunning the venue was and how well laid-out the venue was which was incredibly important to us and our guest experience. So grateful to have such wonderful memories from Robinswood House and would 100% recommend to any couple!

Such a pleasure to work with!

This venue was perfect for our small intimate wedding. We were able to have our ceremony in the garden area and reception on the patios and everyone loved it. The trees made it very private and it was exactly what I envisioned! Joanna and Mike were also a pleasure to work with - very organized and professional to make sure everything went smoothly for our special day.

Feeling Over the Moon about my Wedding at Robinswood House

Robinswood house is a beautiful venue. I got so many compliments from my guests of how lovely it was. I was so happy that the grounds were accessible since we had some grandparents joining us and easy access to a parking lot right next to the venue. If you are looking for a charming outdoor garden venue you need to look into Robinswood. I only have great things to say about the whole experience. Staff was lovely, helpful and professional. So grateful for them!

    What a dream!

We were looking for a venue to host my roaring 20's 30th birthday at and Robinswood happened to be available--and how luck we are that it was!! From the beginning, Joanna was incredibly communicative, timely with her responses, and patient, always providing enough detail to answer all the questions I asked and things I didn't even think to ask ! The night of the event, she and Mike were a dream to work with, and all of our guests loved them too! The venue itself is a no-brainer: it's beautiful and quiet, small enough to have an intimate feeling but large enough to spread out. It's awesome that there are indoor & outdoor spaces available for your use. It's also conveniently located with lots of parking and easy access -- my older guests had no issues whatsoever. If you're thinking about hosting an event here, stop thinking and book it -- it's so worth it!!!

    Stunning venue!

My review for Robinswood house is so long over due. Joanna is absolutely fantastic and was so responsive and helpful even when my questions had already been answered in previous emails. It's nice when you're overwhelmed to have a vendor walk you through it. The only thing I wished was different was their list of caterers. We chose Act 3 and they were great. But we really wanted a taco truck. Other than that the venue was gorgeous! So beautiful! I love that there was a playground next door because we had a lot of kids at our wedding and it was great for photos!

Thank you for a fantastic experience

My husband and I had a truly wonderful experience with Joanna, and Robinswood. We planned our wedding quickly, and Joanna was so helpful guiding us. Day of, Joanna and her team made sure all of the big and little details were taken care of...right before the wedding she fixed my train, and made sure I had everything I needed. One of my family members, who is in the service industry, made sure to tell me how impressed she was with the beverage service...and she said she's hard to impress! Thank you for a easy and magical day!

    August Wedding

Joanna took care of every detail and question I had. Anything I couldn’t think of to ask she brought to my attention and did everything to make sure our day was perfect. She kept in consistent contact with me in the months leading up to the wedding and had good communication with my other vendors. I would recommend robinswood to any couple looking for a flawless summer wedding.

    Wedding reception

Joanna and Mike were very punctual and flexible in helping us customize our wedding while staying in our budget. We had decided on Robinswood for many reasons, long before our wedding, because of the location for all of our guests, the flexibility of picking options for our event, the amount of room and spacing we needed for activities - e.g. lawn area for children's games during the dinner, house for greeting guests and staying warm on cooler evenings, room dancing, dining, and live musicians - and the amount of time needed for set up and take down.

I loved having my wedding at Robinswood House. It was the perfect outdoor venue for our relaxed, summer garden party wedding; it was beautiful (everything was in bloom!), it was the perfect size and I loved the convenience of not having to make my guests travel from a ceremony to reception site. I had so many guests come up to me on the big day and complement our choice of venue! It's also a great mix of outdoor/indoor space; we had many older guests attend our wedding, and I felt relieved knowing that if anyone needed a break, they could just go into the house and rest in one of the many comfy armchairs.

On top of all of that, Joanna (who was my primary point of contact for Robinswood) was SO easy to work with. She took care of all my questions and requests promptly, sent early reminders about important upcoming due dates, and even surprised us with home-baked goodies in our getting-ready rooms on the day of! Amazing service, a beautiful venue and affordable pricing... Robinswood House couldn't have been better, I highly recommend them!

The Robinswood House was an amazing venue. The staff were helpful, friendly, and easy to work with. They even accommodated a few last minute changes two weeks before the wedding. The house and grounds are beautifully maintained and the perfect setting for our wedding photos. Our ceremony was in July, so the gardens were in full bloom so there was no need to bring in additional decorations. I couldn't be happier with our choice to have our wedding and reception there!

Robinswood House a lovely venue! But the biggest plus was working with Cate Hall! She was a tremendous help! The weather forecast for the weekend of our wedding was calling for rain, so she contacted multiple vendors for me to get a tent put up with all the additional rentals I wanted (tent liner, chandelier, etc). She contacted at least 3 different places and gave me a price quote for each one, making sure I had the best deal. She is quick to respond with any questions or concerns you may have, making working with the venue VERY easy!

The team at Robinswood House was beyond what we'd hoped. There was constant communication, information, advanced questions, and appointments were always available. We loved that we were able to rent a full day and staff is onsite. We were accommodated timely for the iffy weather conditions and Robinswood was fully prepared for rain! We never felt forgotten and were always taken care of. Highly recommended!

    Our perfect wedding venue!!

We got married at Robinswood House in July 2025 and it was our dream venue. We secured our date over a year out for a Saturday in July, and at the time, many summer Saturday options were still available. Mike and Joanna were wonderful to work with throughout the planning process; they are responsive and very thorough. We were excited about the string lights, hanging baskets, and tent options in case it was to rain (it did not). The venue comfortably accommodated 135 guests, and there would have been room for more. It was really nice that they provided the tables, chairs, and linens, space for getting ready, and there were plenty of restrooms including one upstairs by the getting ready suites. We were so in love with the venue after touring that we called Mike on the car ride home to secure our wedding date; so glad we did!

    Beautiful Venue

We planned our wedding 2 years in advance as we knew that Summer Weddings in Seattle would book up quickly! We wanted a venue that allowed us to have our dog in our wedding and Robinswood House was just what we needed. We also wanted the ceremony and reception to be in the same space. It was intimate with flowers, garden and a cabin house to get ready in. It was also next to a small wooded park with tall PNW trees where we could take our "first look" pictures. We worked with Joanna, who was nice, kind and trustworthy. We loved that she loved our dog! (that was so important to us!). I'm pretty sure she paid more attention to our dog than us - haha (just kidding!). She also graciously lent us a dog harness when we wanted to try on some outfits for our dog! As with any venue/contract, pay close attention to details and when payment is due, but they do a good job of reminding you. Only down side is that we had to use their bar (no outside drinks), but they were open to other selections we wanted that were not on their menu! Our guests were so pleased with the intimate space and had a great time with the bartenders. It was clear they worked very hard that night! We also had the threat of rain on our big day and Joanna made sure she was on top of what options we had if it did rain. The overall cost was a bit pricey, but to be expected given that we live in Seattle. Overall, a great venue and would recommend! Thanks Robinswood House!

Robinswood a hidden gem rain or shine

We had our wedding at Robinswood a little over a month ago and while it was a cloudy/rainy day, Joanna and the entire Robinswood team made the day seamless for us. They helped coordinate getting two huge tents set up last minute as rain came down later that evening. The team was professional throughout the planning process helping us who had little experience in planning a wedding once we booked the venue. We always felt confident in the Robinswood team and loved the venue and service provided by the staff. All the drinks were seamlessly served and passed around and we really felt special throughout the night. Thanks again to the whole Robinswood team.

Robinswood house is such an amazing venue! Its so quaint, rustic and secluded without being in the middle of nowhere. Joanna and her husband were so awesome when it came to organizing and planning and made the whole process much more manageable. The wedding went smoothly and our guests were all very complimentary with the service and venue in general. Highly recommend!

My husband and I got married at Robinswood House in July 2017 and loved our experience working with Joanna and Mike. The venue is beautiful and was just what we wanted-- an outdoor wedding surrounded by greens and flowers. We didn't need to spend much on flowers or decorations! They made everything easy by pre-selecting a handful of caterers for us to work with so we only had to narrow down our choice from a list they provided. On the big day, the execution was smooth and Joanna was very helpful throughout the entire day and night. We had 33 guests and this venue was a perfect size for us. We held our wedding on a weekday (Monday) to save some money, since weddings in the summertime in the Seattle metro area can be very expensive. We also opted to use their bar service which was easy and efficient. We couldn't have asked for a better day!

This is a beautiful venue. We were so happy to have chosen this venue on what turned out to be a gorgeous day. We could not have had better weather and the venue itself was amazing with the flowers and trees all in bloom at this outdoor venue. We had a great experience with the staff from start to finish. We booked about a year in advance and the whole time they were very responsive to all my questions and concerns. I never felt that I was not important or my concerns were not valid. Our guests loved the whole wedding and the staff was great to work with and were there all night for any concerns I had. The only thing that we did not love about this venue was the fact that we had to choose from a specific catering list that did not have the selections that we were hoping for. We ended up being happy with the caterer we chose but felt that the list was all on the higher priced end of the scale. I know that they have added a few new caterers since our contract was set up so I cannot say if this is still an issue but it is something that I would suggest looking into before you choose this venue since you will have to be happy with the food options as well.

Overall a great experience! Thank you Robinswood team!

This Robinswood House venue is absolutely gorgeous! Our guest list consisted of 50 people, and this venue is perfect for any intimate gathering. The coordinators were always very timely in their response to emails or phones calls, and I felt that I was getting a great package for the price that I paid!

The completely outdoor setting is a fantastic venue for summer weddings, and they also had a large tent available as an additional package, for inclement conditions. The venue is full of colorful flowers, so I didn't have to add much floral decor to spruce things up!

There was a small issue the day of the wedding with a paperwork mixup, but nearly everything went just as planned. The owner made an appearance at the venue to apologize for the oversight, brought out complimentary wine and champagne for our guests, and refunded us parts of our package that were involve in the error.

I felt that they truly made things right with us, even though we understood that there is always a chance for human error, no matter how slight!

Weather could not be helped, as it sprinkled lightly for about 5 minutes after the ceremony, but the staff was pleasant and so helpful, and my day was beautiful!!

We had our wedding at Robinswood House on 6/18/16 and could not have been more thrilled with our selection. It was the perfect combination of rustic and refined, intimate and vibrant, affordable and polished. Joanna, the venue coordinator, was so easy to work with and asked all the right questions to set us up for success. We also loved that you are able to wait till the Wednesday before your wedding to decide if you need tents over the patios. When the forecast said 80% chance of rain, we went with the tents through RH and were so glad that we did. Even though it did not actually rain on the night of the wedding (thank goodness!) it gave us so much peace of mind to be able to add them (plus draping and chandeliers) at the last minute, and then not need to worry what the weather was going to do. We had the most beautiful, amazing night of our life and it was fantastic to have it all happen at Robinswood House!

This venue is not for you if you have more than 125 guests, care about every single little detail going exactly as you've planned regardless of the weather, or don't want to work with someone who will ask tough questions to help you really think through all the logistics and ins and outs of the wedding. They also do have pretty strict policies, such as no hard alcohol and firm arrival and departure times for vendors. I found RH to be very up front about all of this and nothing came as a surprise to me.

If you want a stunning outdoor wedding, space on patios for a band and dance floor and seating down below for those who would rather catch up, and a venue that won't nickle and dime you for every little thing (because so much equipment is included in the rental), you've found the right place.

We had a wonderful wonderful morning wedding at this beautiful venue. The trees and flowers and greenery that surrounded us made for amazing photos!!!- we barely had to decorate otherwise! We got so many compliments from our guests for the location and the beauty of the grounds.

But aside from that, a special thank you and overall appreciation to the venue's staff is needed. They were super helpful and went out of their way to help us and make sure everything and_everyone_ had a nice experience. The whole team works so hard. They definitely made our day a very special one.

We got married at Robinswood House at the end of August and could not be happier! We specifically chose this venue because of the beautiful outdoor ceremony space and intimate setting. We worked with Cate and Mike, who were both very responsive. Our wedding had about 120 guests, which was the perfect number given the size of the patio where we had our reception. While we had to buy the alcohol through Robinswood House/Seattle Bride (no hard liquor allowed as it is in a public park), everything else was very flexible. We were able to choose our own caterer, florist, DJ, etc. The only complaint we had was that we were charged $50 for a $20 bottle of champagne we had upstairs in the room where we got ready because it was considered "outside alcohol." We did not realize that they would go looking for it in our dressing room. If we could do it all over again, we would still have our wedding at Robinswood House...we just would have hidden our alcohol better!

Great location, beautiful for a garden wedding or reception. Great value and very helpful staff. Limited selection of caterers was a bit of a challenge and the extra costs for everything do add to the price, but still a great value, and the staff was extremely helpful both leading up to and during the event.

I used Robinswood for my ceremony and reception sites. It was such a gorgeous location and even though it is in the middle of a park, it feels completely enclosed and private. They have the site wonderfully decorated with colorful flowers and in the evening there are lights on the trees and fences. Everyone said how beautiful it was and yet so romantic too! Working with Jenna (the site coordinator) was extremely easy and she was very helpful every step of the way.

Our wedding was held at Clise Mansion in Redmond, an absolutely beautiful venue. It was perfect for our small winter wedding, and I'm sure would be amazing outside in the summer. The staff were all incredibly helpful and attentive. However the historic nature of the building resulted in a number of restrictions that required working around, for example picking from a selection of approved caterers, a $14 corkage fee, no sparklers, no real flower petals, etc. In the end everything turned out great, but be aware of what you can and cannot do.

We had our wedding at Robinswood House and it was great. It is a beautiful venue, the landscaping and maintenance is impeccable. At first, after I booked my date with them I didn't have a person to cotact, so I started sending emails to the generic "seattle bride" email address and never received any response. But once I called - Jillian was super helpful, answered my emails and phone calls promptly and was available in person at a site visit with my caterer and at the rehearsal. She was so nice and put up with my many changes... some even a few times in one day! Her advice and suggestions were appreciated immensely. I did have to choose from their preferred caterers, which turned out great because Twelve Baskets was amazing. They have a preferred list of caterers for a good reason - these vendors are professional and are respectful of the property, so everything goes smoothly. They also provide the bar service, which we had a small problem with. The wines we ordered were not the ones we got - they substituted all three wines with others and did not tell us before the reception. I only found out after when a guest pointed out that the wines I printed on the bar cards were not the ones they were pouring. I was a little ticked because the wines we chose were our personal favorites AND it looked really bad to our guests that we had advertised certain wines and then didn't deliver on them. The bar manager we spoke to after the event was really apologetic and we were able to come to a satisfactory solution. The bartenders were awesome.

    Very happy with our venue

Robinswood House is a great location with a beautiful outdoor setting. We chose this venue for a variety of reasons and weren't disappointed. We loved both the garden setting of the homestead as well as the woodsy areas in the park. We also appreciated the public/private partnership with Seattle Bride which makes it much easier to plan. And lastly their all-in-one location (prepping, ceremony, & reception), ample parking, and proximity to Seattle/SeaTac made it convenient for all our out-of-town guests. Even though mother nature didn't cooperate all night, the venue was prepared with tents and it didn't hinder everyone's fun. Overall very happy and we received a lot of compliments from our guests on the venue.

    Enchanting Winter Wedding Experience

We decided to host our intimate winter wedding of ~45 guests at the Robinswood House. Positives about this venue: The house and the cabana, where all of the aspects of the event took place were already beautifully decorated with garlands and lights, making it very easy to compliment with candles and flowers that we brought for decor. We had burgundy bouquets and gold votives to accent. It was also fun to have guests transfer between the 2 indoor spaces throughout the night for a nice change in scenery. The garden space was great for outdoor photos prior to the ceremony. Also, the host of the venue was very available and helpful throughout the course of the night to ensure things went smoothly. Challenges about the venue: You are limited to about 50 guests for an indoor event if you want to have a seated meal. Also, you are limited to only a few catering options, and most of them tend to be a little on the expensive side. Additionally, small little hidden fees popped up throughout the course of wedding planning, however that seems to be the case with most venues. All of this being said, having our wedding here was a very positive experience and it was a magical night that I will never forget! All the guests enjoyed the event and the venue also, so I can't complain!

We had our wedding at the Robinswood House in September 2014 and it was absolutely gorgeous. I will warn that fees add up so if you are excited about the venue fee, just make sure you add everything extra up. They don't hide the information from you, but excitement can cause you to overlook things. Cate was my contact and she was extremely helpful and prompt with her responses. The only complaint that I had (which they had no control over) is that the venue is on a public park and there was a volleyball game going on right on the other side of the garden so there were screaming men throughout our ceremony, which was kind of a bummer.

Robinswood House is a beautiful venue. I loved getting married there. We had a pretty small wedding ( about 50 people) and the wedding and reception were both indoors. The venue is not large but I think we had just enough people that it was cozy rather than crowded. The House was a beautiful place for the ceremony, the grounds were perfect for pictures, and the cabana was great for the reception. I really enjoyed having my wedding here.

This was a beautiful venue. It was the perfect garden wedding. We had just over 150 people but the venue made our wedding seem intimate and small. The staff was courteous and helpful. (If not enthusiastic for our wedding). My one complaint would be a small snafu with the beverage manager, just be clear who he should take issues to (i.e. not the bride.)

We chose the Robinswood House and Clise Mansion after reviewing several venues for our wedding. The location is beautiful and clean and made our wedding day very special. The staff were professional throughout and responded to all of our needs. Unfortunately, they do nickel and dime you for little things and this caused unwanted stress. I really loved this venue but day of was a bit hectic. Everything was supposed to be set up by 1pm and when we got there nothing had been done. They said it was because of the rain and they were unsure whether they needed to move the ceremony to the reception area. When I arrived back at 4pm the tables were just being put out and instead of me being able to take pictures with our photographer, I ended up putting all of the tables together (I didn't have a wedding planner). I was stressed to say the least. In the end, everything turned out pretty, but I was not overly thrilled with their service at the beginning. They also got us the wrong beer, but they made up for it by giving us extra free beer and not charging us for their mistake.

Seattle Bride was easy to work with, their staff had lots of decorating suggestions, and was always available to answer questions. I held my wedding at the Clise Mansion. The Mansion was beautiful and a prefect location to hold my very large family. The only stipulation they have is that you have to hire one of their eight preferred caterers, which ended up being difficult for me. However overall, it was well worth the price you pay for all that you get.

Overall our experience with Robinswood was great. They handle all of the set up and breakdown of your event and are on site the day of to answer any questions or issues that may arise. If there was one thing that I had an issue with, it would be that I felt that their communication style was a little harsh and unprofessional. There were times when I felt a little defensive in response to the questions or comments I received. I felt for the amount of money we spent, there was some room for flexibility and if nothing else a professional demeanor. Overall, our friends and family raved about the location and venue itself and everyone had a great time.

We were married at the Clise Mansion property and overall had a very good experience. They looked into any and all questions I had and were pretty quick to respond. There is only one issue that is still unresolved (almost a month after the wedding). Make sure you do a complete walk through of the facility before you start unpacking or setting up for your ceremony with the Seattle Bride representative. Make a note of EVERYTHING that they have provided to you with their representative.

Robinswood House is a beautiful venue. We had a really nice wedding reception there and I am happy that we chose it. The only major problem on the day of the wedding was that the oven was not working, but our caterers (Herban Feast) were amazing at adapting and used two baking sheets to cook salmon for 75 people. However, several things caused some headaches during the planning process that I wish I had known in advance.
While the rates look great at first, make sure you add up all the extra charges before comparing the total cost with a full service venue like a hotel. Tents (yes, it rained 3/4 weekends in August this year!), chairs and chair setup, and especially bar markups add a huge amount onto the final cost. Also, the amount of time you get is definitely not enough for setup, ceremony, reception and cleanup unless you have a really short reception.. so you'll end up paying extra to extend the time, if you're lucky enough not to have another wedding booked before or after yours.
All of that said, it worked out OK for me in the end, and we got our full damage deposit back without any problems.

This place was beautiful. I felt that things were somewhat disorganized and not very well communicated. Beware any venue that doesn't include chairs in their rental price as they are likely going to nickel and dime you in other ways too. Over-priced in my opinion, but what with a wedding isn't? The venue itself really created the image of our wedding we wanted to have - so we were willing to pay for it...though doing so for a September wedding at a venue that really doesn't have much in the way of a "plan B" in case of rain was a bit risky.

Post-wedding they tried to deduct from our deposit for 2 broken glasses. I argued that broken glasses are a cost of running a bar...they happen all the time and we should not be penalized. They then removed the charges, but it was petty to charge us for those in the first place. They also charged us for a case of beer that we had already paid for, and I had to point this out to them.

The venue was gorgeous, the way it is run leaves something to be desired.

The venue itself was gorgeous- and just what we needed for our 50 guest, somewhat casual wedding. But... the staff there messed up and confused our time with someone else's... after our invitations had gone out. It all worked out in the end, but it was such a frustration!

Ok, so let me share my experience with you guys on this venue. My fiance and I got engaged on new years 2010 and started planning our wedding for July 2012. We wanted an outdoor wedding, but we wanted catered food. We had a 10k budget. We choose the Robinswood House because the location was good, the grounds are beautiful, the house is beautiful. The staff answered my questions, got back to me quickly. We went to an open house when all the caterers were there so we had it narrowed down to two that were reasonably priced and good food. We had read the reviews on this site and other sites and were a little afraid, either people loved the place or hated it. We figured we would just be careful, make sure everything was laid out before we sign contract.

I lived in Bellevue, so I was able to sign a month in advance before non-Bellevue residents. We signed our contract a year and 6 weeks before our wedding. We started looking into Catering right away (you have to choose from there provided caterers) and we planned on a appetizer reception. For three hours, 75 guest for 4 types of light appetizers was Twice as much as we originally thought because they don't tell you about the labor cost and the "preparation" time before the wedding, which was another 4 hours of labor cost. At this point we were looking into 4k just for food, not including the 1.5k for there beer/wine package you have to get if you want glasses, tender service (which you have to have if you have alcohol, which is understandable btw) So we were already stressing about the budget.

Then, a family emergency happened. I was going to get some money for the wedding from my relative but now they were unable to help pay for the wedding, it would have covered the catering cost, maybe even the beverage cost. It was still a year and 3 weeks from the wedding. I contacted Robinswood house and told them my situation. I knew the terms of the contract i signed, I had put the down deposit of $750. She said she would have to talk to her supervisor and see if they wanted to have me pay more of the payment that was due, forfeit my deposit or if they were able to give it back to me. They ended up keeping my deposit and not charging me the whole fee for the ceremony/reception site... But my issue is, I had an emergency, I even offered to show proof, and it was more than a year away. They have non-Bellevue residents sign up after a years notice. They re-booked my date, they didn't need my deposit. I figured I'd write a review so others don't make the same mistake. If i had the money, i would have went though with it. But you'd better be sure! i also don't like the timeline 6 hours and 2 1/2 of those hours are for set up and stuff.

My fiance and I are still having a smaller outdoor wedding in Las Vegas! Cuts down on cost, smaller guest list. No worries about this Seattle weather also.

Clise Mansion is a great place for a wedding, and ours worked out well in the end. But I agree with many comments that the staff of Seattle Bride are at best indifferent. We dealt mainly with Jenna, and I'm amazed that someone had a good experience with her. She seemed completely bored and left out significant details (such as if you want an outdoor wedding and an inside reception, you have to rent 2 separate sound systems---we found that out 2 days before the wedding). She promised to help us with this, then did not get back to us. The staff at the wedding was pleasant and competent, however. Costs overall seemed pretty fair, and the caterer was fantastic (Twelve Baskets).

This is a terrible company to work with! If you go with these people they will steal your deposit!! That is what happened to us! They have a basket of wash up stuff in the bride/groom changing rooms.Things like qtips, deoderant, tampons, ect. There is NO sign saying that if you take them you will be charged. It does not state it in the contract either! My party took a FEW of these small and cheap items& we were charged 75 dollars! They also accused us of stealing pillows!! Thats right, pillows! and charged away the remainder of our deposit for the cost of those! What was so stupid about it is they didnt even notice the pillows were missing until 10 days after our wedding. Also, they require you to go with their alcohol services, which isnt that out of the norm but their prices are outrageous! $1100 for 7 cases of beer &11 bottles of wine;you do the math.Their customer service is aweful, communication is poor(to their client and between themselves) we had to tell them four times that we wanted a screen to block the door so the bride could come from up stairs for pictures and not be seen before the wedding It took them 20 minutes to find it on the night of the wedding to even find it! Btw, they only give you 55 minutes to set up for your wedding and lots of people like to take pics before the wedding so think about that as well. They are the most unreasonable jerks I have ever worked with. they remind me of a bad landlord. This venue is quite frankly mediocre, we went with it for the price, but when you add on the deposit they steal to the base price, we could have gotten a nicer place. BEWARE!

Not very happy with this place on my special day! They order a tent that had holes in it so there was water all over the floors when I walked down my dress got red on it from the roses and my guests got wet. Super embarrassing. A lot of money wasted on this. Though I didn't let it ruin my day needless to say it wasn't how I wanted things to go.

It started with them changing the date and time of the rehersal 3 times due to overbooking the house for another event. I don't feel that offering a rehersal the morning of your wedding is reasonable. When we arrived, the house had not been vacuumed inside and the outside patio and staircase (where the bride would be walking down) had not been cleaned. One of our guests had to ask for a broom and start sweeping outside. Even though they don't allow colored flower petals, we were picking up pink plowers off the upper lawn area before our guests arrived. The gal bartender couldn't have been more rude and before our event was over, we had a family member of the staff come with 2 young kids that were running around the table area. BEWARE- the contract they have you sign... We apparently had a few people that brought in their own beer and had it taken away at the event by their staff. We were not aware of this going on. Rather than them addressing this with us at the event, so we could put a stop to it, they sent us a notice after the event that we had lost our deposit due to the alcohol that was brought in. We would NOT recommend this venue to anyone.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience with Robinswood House. While the site is ideal and we had our hearts set on a garden wedding, our experience in dealing with the staff at Seattle Bride/Premier Properties was horrible! They have no sense of customer service, a fact we found completely ironic as they make their living in the wedding SERVICES industry!
When we contacted them they took weeks to respond to our phone calls and emails and were extremely rude when communicating. We eventually decided to cancel our wedding there and then matters only grew worse! In addition to keeping the huge sum of money that was our deposit, they are further demanding we pay half of the additional fees due, despite the fact that we gave our cancellation notice NINE months in advance and they are most certainly going to re-book the site as our date was on a Saturday in July! Their contract is extremely ambiguous. Though they are in the services industry their poor service skills and sketchy business practices demonstrate that they are only concerned with making money, even if it's at the expense of their customers' experiences and their own reputation.
I would NOT recommend this site to anyone.

the staff of seattle bride were terrible, they found any and every reason to not refund our deposit, the owner is real jerk and very rude! all they care about is money, they could care less about your expierience or the importance of your day. they booked another wedding back to back with ours and did not tell us until the day of and we had to end our wedding early just to clean up and they still had the nerve to not return our deposit! the venue is nice but it is not worth having to deal with the people that run it! READ THE OTHER REVIEWS! most of them talk about being screwed out of money! seattle bride is a joke
