My fiance and I were planning a small destination wedding in Fort Lauderdale. Since we live in PA, the only photographer suggestions that we had were from our venue and from the Internet. I called at least a half a dozen photographers and was disappointed with all of them. With at least 3 of the photographers, I had to schedule a phone consultation and had wait at least 1 or 2 days before speaking with the photographers themselves. Not only was that irritating, but the photographer prices were either outrageous or they did not want to want to do what my fiance and I wanted to do for our wedding! My fiance and I did not want to see each other before the wedding, but we were told that it was not a good idea and they'd prefer to take photos of my fiance and I before the ceremony. We also wanted to do a fun, playful beach photo shoot the day after the wedding, but I was told by several photographers that it wasn't necessary since our wedding was already on the beach and we could take beach photos after the ceremony. Aren't the photographers supposed to do what their client wants?
After being EXTREMELY frustrated, I finally stumbled upon Sara Kauss Photography on The Knot and this website. The reviews were unbelievable, so I called Sara's company and I was able to get in touch with Sara very quickly. To my surprise, Sara was SO friendly and sweet and I really enjoyed speaking with her. I IMMEDIATELY knew that she was different from the other photographers. All of my ideas were enthusiastically supported by Sara and she even thought that the "day after" beach photo shoot was a great idea! I felt like I was talking to a friend rather than someone that was trying so hard to sell me her business. I was so happy when I hung up the phone with her that I immediately called my parents and fiance to tell them I had finally found an awesome photographer!
Sara was extremely quick and responsive to my e-mails and phone calls from the time I booked her up to our wedding and even after the wedding! She and her assistant were WONDERFUL at our wedding. We barely noticed that they were there, yet they managed to capture such beautiful and unique photos. Sara set up her laptop at the reception and played a slideshow of photos from the ceremony and "getting ready" photos. They were GORGEOUS and made everyone so excited. SO many of our guests kept complimenting me on picking such a great photographer and kept saying, "where did you find her! She's awesome!" Two of my friends actually said that they wished they could get married again so Sara could take the pictures!
You will be SO happy when you choose Sara for ANY type of photos! We wish we lived in Florida so we could use Sara again!

Wonderful - Sara was easy to work with from the very start. She mad everyone feel at ease and you could barely tell she was there. Our engagement pictures are amazing and she also did our guest book. Everyone is still talking about the guest book!!!

Sara is a blessing to brides everywhere!! She photographed our engagement session and our wedding, and became a friend along the way. She is the reason I can look back on my wedding with vivid memory, and she can capture the emotion in every moment. She is very creative and spends endless hours editing the photos. No one is higher on my list of recommendation!!! Thank you Sara!

Sara was like a ghost, we didn't even see her at the ceremony, but somehow she found a way to take FABULOUS pictures. She was always very kind and easy to work with, never was she in anyone's way or rude. She was fun and the perfect photographer. I would recommend her to anyone.

It was an HONOR to work with you. The pictures came out better then I could have ever imagined. You also have a GREAT eye for poses and places. If I had gone with anyone else I would have been disappointed. You were worth everything! Don't change anything. You are number 1 on my list to refer to anyone! I haven't seen my pictures yet, but I've seen others, and her work is great. She was professional, but a lot of fun to work with. There isn't anyone else I would have wanted following me around all day on my wedding day! She was flexible, and let us join the party when my husband couldn't take any more pictures! The morning's pictures that were displayed at the reception were great. I would use her again and again if I could.

Sara Kauss Photography was fantastic. Sara is such an amazingly talented Photographer. She did our Engagement & Wedding photos and in every single shot she captured our personalities, how much love we had for each other and how much fun we were having. She allowed us to be ourselves and photgraphed us as we were. The way she put everything together and the way she accented the lighting and background in every shot, made it a one of a kind. I can't say enough, I will always remember Sara and appreciate her for capturing every single moment of my special day.

Sara was wonderful to work with on our wedding day! She showed up promptly, created a relaxing atmosphere, and made our bridal party smile early in the morning, which was a feat! She was non-obtrusive and very helpful, and really made our guests feel at home. Our photos were absolutely gorgeous and we really liked that we got to see the pictures during the reception (there was a laptop that scrolled the un-edited pictures for everyone to see). I would recommend Sara to anyone that wanted beautiful pictures at a price that wouldn't put a hole in your wallet.
It's hard to think of anything that Sara could improve on, but for us, the wedding albums were out of our budget, so we wish there could have been more inexpensive options for albums. The albums are amazingly beautiful, though.

Selecting Sara as my photographer was the best wedding decision I made. Not only are my photos and my wedding album absolutely beautiful, but working with her was such a joy.
Sara made me, my husband, and all of our family and friends feel so relaxed and comfortable, and her professionalism and attention to detail ensured that every shot that we wanted was taken and every moment was captured.
I can't think of enough good things to say about Sara...she has my highest recommendations!!!

Sara and her assistant were very professional and did a great job of gettling lots of candid shots while not being intrusive on the reception at all. I felt very relaxed with both of them. Also the coffee table book that she put together was a work of art, it was more beautiful then I had hoped, and I was thrilled with it. Overall, I would say they were fantastic!
