I cannot recommend Morin's enough. From the first meeting they were the most pleasant and thoughtful to work with, helping us to craft every detail of the evening. Arolin got what we were going for right away and put together a great plan. On the evening of, the whole staff was wonderful and very professional serving our guests--we even had someone following us around with a plate of apps to make sure we didn't miss out on our own food in the hullabaloo. And, oh, the food. So good. You need to chose Russell Morin.

I just had my wedding at Rosecliff (November 10, 2012) in Newport, RI and Russell Morin were our caterers. They were absolutely outstanding, worth every single penny. Kathleen was our wedding coordinator and she was such a pleasure to work with. My grandparents had a few health related issues this past year which caused problems to our schedule, but Kathleen was very accommodating and understanding. Honestly, she was like a wedding planner to us. We dropped off a bunch of decorations for the wedding with her and she took care of everything. It looked absolutely stunning. She was so attentive and made us feel like guests at our own party. We literally did not have to worry about a thing. The food was out of this world. The hors d'oeurves were fantastic. As a bride, I was very concerned about getting food during happy hour. My husband and I had our own waitstaff, a really awesome girl who came up and introduced herself to us and made sure we had everything we wanted. She even came up to us at 11:30 to tell us the bar was about to close and asked if we wanted one last drink! The food was delicious, we had guests come up and tell us that their meal was the best dish they've ever had. I highly recommend the short ribs toscana and the baked stuffed shrimp - both were so amazing. We even had Russell Morin do our wedding cake and it was PERFECTION! I sent Kathleen a picture of what I wanted and it was exactly that. I honestly could not have asked for a better caterer, from the planning process to the wedding day. Everything was incredible and I highly, highly, highly recommend Russell Morin. I can't say it enough!

I have so much to thank Russell Morin's for! They made my wedding absolutely perfect! From the start they were extremely nice and easy to work with, very flexible and accommodating and would bend over backwards to cater to our needs and wants. They helped me through my planning and captured exactly our personality and style and provided the best food I have ever had in any event! From the drinks to our desserts they offered the best service and the highest quality of food and ingredients, and believe me we are very picky! I come from a Hispanic family and my husband from a middle eastern background. Our families are very traditional in their food and cooking styles and we had a very hard task to be able to satisfy both cultures without ignoring anyone's expectations. Morin's put together a wonderfully classic menu with spices and touches from both cultures that was a total winner! From spanish tapas style hors d'oeuvres to an overflowing buffet of mediterranean and latin flavors blended together to perfection. The bar service was fantastic and everybody was very excited about the food to the point that we had comments from our most demanding guest that they regretted not taking some food home :D you have no idea how happy that made me feel! The setup of the buffet was beautiful and the service was beyond perfect! My husband and I were assigned a personal server that would ensure we had food and drinks at all times and it was an absolute treat! They packed everything for us and cleaned up in a second, and we were sent home with a little take-away box with goodies for me and my husband! it was absolutely impressive. Everything for a very reasonable price! I would recommend Russell Morin's in a heartbeat, definitely great value and a wonderful experience!

I loved my caterer! The food was probably the best food I've ever seen at a wedding. We had decided early on in the planning process that we weren't interested in having a formal sit down dinner. We wanted to have some stations and mostly heavily passed apps and goodies. Alicia at RM really got me from the beginning. We had an amazing tasting and picked our favorites. We decided on the Pad Thai station, a slider station and about 6 or 7 other apps. Everyone raved about the food!

About halfway through the evening a staff member dressed in black approached me and asked if I needed anything as she had noticed I hadnt had the chance to eat (I hadn't). She offered to get my fiance and I a plate with one of everything from the stations and then she tracked us down with plates and silverware and let us eat something. I really thought that was an awesome gesture. They went out of their way several times to ensure I was happy and that I had eaten.

Alicia was a dream to work with as well. She handled my sarcastic dry humor well and she even assembled my DIY centerpieces exactly how I would have. The space looked amazing and I couldnt be happier.

Thank you Russell Morin, I sing your praises to every engaged friend I have!

The longer version:
Russell Morin is absolutely awesome. I would recommend them to anyone, anytime, anyplace. All through our planning process, Alicia and the entire staff were SO helpful, from the very first meetings on. We had seen their work in every seacoast magazine, but in person it was even better.

Our tasting got inappropriately raucous, as every new thing we tried was the BEST thing we'd ever had, and we weren't shy about shouting our feelings out! During the year, we made many changes and adjustments to our plan, and Alicia took it all in stride and stayed on top of it the whole time. But on the day, it was even better. I felt confident during the rehearsal dinner and the wedding itself that everything was in good hands, and I was free to just enjoy the day. They took SUCH good care of me and my now-husband, and everything went smoothly from start to finish.

Throughout our whole planning process, I also heard from every other bride in the area AND every other vendor with whom we worked that Russell Morin is the best around. And if that's what all the other vendors say...

And now. The food. I mean...seriously, it is so amazing. EVERYONE was raving the entire time about how delicious every part of the meal was. They were blown away by the presentation and every guest brought up how delicious various parts of the meal were, from the soup (best I've ever had) to the risotto bar (epic) to the chocolate-raspberry milkshake and pumpkin whoopie pie that they passed out toward the end of the night while everyone was dancing. Half of the people I know were even taking pictures of each dish as it arrived all night. We are big foodies, and the food at our wedding was really important to us. We made the right choice, no doubt!

Please do not take this 5 out of 5 review lightly. Russell Morin Fine Catering earned every bit of every star with utterly super customer service and flawless execution. They are the model vendor on every level. We worked with Arolin Hughes as our coordinator. We wish we could work with Arolin all the time, on just about everything. She is so responsive, so thoughtful, so professional and has such a generous spirit. She was creative and helpful, but also so respectful of our ideas. She is also incredibly thorough. Nothing slipped through the cracks. She followed up on EVERYTHING. And she was joyous and celebratory. Even though she was responsible for countless mundane details, she always made us feel like we were talking about the happiest day of our lives - and that meant so much to us. As for the food - just extraordinary. Our guests are still raving about it. We know it's polite to compliment people on their wedding, but this praise was over the top, and genuine. The food was incredible. The selection, quality and presentation were just perfect. My husband is a foodie, so food at the wedding was incredibly important to him. As someone who has cooked for him (best effort, but I'm a beginner), I quickly learned that his palate is a discerning one. He LOVED the food that Morin's provided. And it has made his heart incredibly happy to hear from many, many guests that this was- and I swear this is what people have said- 'the best food they've ever had.' We worked with Allie and Kathleen and they were amazing. On the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly and it was so comforting to know all was in good hands.

Our coordinator Alicia did an absolutely incredible job of organizing all the aspects of our wedding, not just the catering. She was basically our wedding planner for the day and took charge of making everything perfect for us. We didn't have to worry about anything! The food was amazing, the service was perfect and everything went exactly as I hoped. Thanks Alicia and Russell Morin for a totally amazing wedding day!

Three months later and EVERYONE is still commenting on how wonderful the food was at my wedding! Russell Morin's is flexible and professional. The presentation and the food itself was just out of this world. I oculd not have asked for anything better.

Morins was incredible throughout the entire process! We worked closely with Kathleen and her team who helped us plan out every aspect of our rehearsal dinner and "cocktails and cupcakes" reception. Our actual event exceeded all expectations. The food was delicious (appetizers, dinner - and our incredible dessert buffet and bar.) And their service was phenomenal. Their staff member Katherine was their to address any and all needs that night. I will look forward to working with Morins again on another event!

I couldn't have imagined a more perfect wedding day, and Russell Morins was the glue that held it all together. So much more than a caterer, they provide full-service event planning and coordination. I had the pleasure of working with Allie throughout the entire process, as well as her assistant Catherine. As mother of the bride my passion for Jodie's wedding probably was as strong as hers...she is Scott's and my only daughter, and we shared dreams about this day since she was tiny. Since Jodie works full time and Newport is two hours away from our home, she needed a point person - that was me. Together we needed more than a caterer...we needed an advisor, a design consultant, a referral source we could trust, and attention and responsiveness from across the miles. WOW Kathleen and her team at Russell Morin were that and more. The reception was at the Rosecliff, and the food quantity and quality, service, and attention to detail were absolutely exceptional. When my father in law needed a special something from the bar, who was there to walk across the lawn, order and deliver it? Kathleen herself, the event director! That said to us that the whole RMFC crew had their act together. Kathleen could see to our special needs that evening while her team executed the event flawlessly. I really wanted to take the time to give Russell Morins a HUGE kudos and thank you for an amazing wedding vendor experience for our wedding on 8/11 at the Bradley Estate.
Every single one of our guests exclaimed that it was the best wedding food they ever had, and my new husband and I absolutely agreed! I'm still dreaming about the curried lobster wontons...and the short rib sliders...oh and mini creme brulees!
As we all know, there's little more important than an amazing meal, but for my experience with Morins, the one thing that absolutely rose above the enjoyment of every bite to eat on our wedding day, was our relationship with our day-of events coordinator, Meghan Crump.
I could spend all day writing about how professional, kind, knowledgeable and fun Meghan is. She made us feel at ease the entire process and always went the extra mile in answering questions and planning for any possibility day-of. When it looked like 80% rain for our big day, Meghan was spending her Friday night coordinating with my maid of honor on alternative options. I swear it's because of all of her planning that the day ended up sunny and perfect!
Day-of, Meghan (and the entire Morin's crew) were so attentive and amazing to work with. Meghan made sure that Pete and I always had a full drink and that we remembered to take the time to sit and eat:) Her event planning skills absolutely took center stage so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. I'm eternally grateful for that!

Russel Morin Fine Catering was the perfect choice for caterer at our August 2012 wedding! Allie was great, through the planning process and as our day-of coordinator- there were a couple hiccups that I didn't even know happened because she took care of them without stressing us out. She worked seamlessly with our venue coordinator, photographer, DJ, and videographer. The food was delicious, way better than what you expect at a wedding, and we even got a great per-head deal through our venue that included bar, linens, and cake! Could not have been happier!

Because of Russell Morin, my wedding was absolutely perfect. Mandy was so much more than a wedding coordinator.. she was a bride's dream! She went above and beyond her role and helped me with every aspect of my wedding. She answered every one of my emails, gave me each of my vendors, and contributed to all of my plans and ideas. She helped us with our budget and offered the greatest advice! She was always relaxed and supportive, and we had so much fun at our meetings! On our wedding day, it seemed she was able to do about a million things at once. She set up and then packed up everything perfectly, handled all complications (because I don't know about them!), and impressed each and every one of our guests. Cat was also amazing. She was assigned as our personal butler. I can not say enough good things about her! She was so sweet and so helpful!!! She not only brought us food and drinks, but she helped to set up pictures, and even assisted in wiping off my feet when I was covered in sand!!! She was beyond helpful and we would have been so overwhelmed without her! My friends and my family were blown away by the prompt and professional manner of all the staff and I still hear compliments daily on the quality of the food. Where do I even begin with the food? It was INCREDIBLE. I had the tenderloin tips with asiago mashed potatoes and asparagus and it was easily one of the best meals that I have ever had. The appetizers were amazing and the cake and cupcakes were not only delicious, but also beautiful in presentation. All of the staff went above and beyond, they even cut up my pink paper straws to put them into the root beer float shooters!!! I could go on and on, and I still would not be able to thank everyone at Russell Morin enough for making my dream wedding a reality. They are the reason that my wedding went so flawlessly.
