Rock hill Plantation is beautiful!!! Joanne and Will are the utmost professional ,helpful ,encouraging people as well an absolutely gorgeous venue. Our daughter and her wonderful groom were wed Oct. 10,2009 at Rock hill, we thoroughly enjoyed the convenience of ceremony and reception in the same location and not to mention the beautiful plantation and grounds!! Joanne and Will were very excellent at calming nervous mothers as well!! We would recommend Rock Hill to anyone and already have! Thankyou Will and Joanne for making Jessica & Nick Sims day magical,as well all other guests and of course the parents!

We had a fabulous experience at Rock Hill. We chose it for its beauty and elegance, the relaxed and friendly attitude of its owners - JoAnne and Will Cannon, as well as it's affordability. We had booked well in advance and the Cannons allowed us to come several times to visit and they were always very responsive to our questions. We had our wedding there last weekend and things could not have been more perfect. JoAnne and Will were incredibly helpful and relaxed and everything was clean and in order - set up beautifully. We had a great time and everyone commented on how lovely the venue was. I would recommend them for anyone looking for an elegant outdoor wedding next to a fabulous reception venue. (The one restraint I would put on that is that the reception hall is a good size for a smaller wedding - they allow up to 130, but I think that over 100 would be very cramped. ) Overall, I couldn't be happier with our choicel.

Our experience with Rock Hill Plantation was first rate. Reverend Will and Joanne went out of their way to insure that our daughter's wedding was most memorable. The ease at which they worked with all the details of the event seemed effortless, their professionalism was refreshing and certainly made our lives less stressful. The backdrop for the wedding, both inside and out, was exquisite. It was if their home became ours for the day. We can truly say that Rock Hill Plantation far exceeded our expectations and we thank Reverend Will and Joanne for our day, the months of planning that led up to it and the friendship that evolved from it.

We had an out of town wedding at Rock Hill Plantation House and our guests couldn't have been more impressed (us too). Rock Hill had everything we wanted in a wedding venue--it was outdoors with indoor eating and the views were great. Will and Jo Anne are wonderful people who work with the couple to create a special day.

If I could double the stars for Rockhill, I would. It's difficult to describe the amazing difference planning our wedding once we found Jo Anne & Will Cannon. Our first vendor double booked and dropped us. Frantically we searched the net. From our first encounter to our grand finale after the reception, we felt like family.
Our wedding planner turned out to be a mistake. But that didn't matter because every time we stressed, a call to Jo Anne would solve everything. for instance, we couldn't figure out how to assign tables. Jo Anne suggested a foam board at the entrance to the reception hall decorated with our colors. For each table, we listed everyone's name, added a picture of us and a marriage word such as 'trust' on the foam board. At the table we had that word along with another picture of us. It added just the perfect touch and everyone was impressed with our creativity.
Will & Jo Anne truly love making people happy and it shows. Our wedding was "perfect" because we were under their wings. The only vendors of theirs we did not use were those we had when we met Jo Anne & Will. The grounds are spectacular and pictures we've seen so far are gorgeous. Four thousand cheers for Jo Anne & Will!!!!!

We had an amazing experience with Rev. Will and Jo Anne Cannon from Rock Hill. Not only do they have a beautiful home/venue, they are both wonderful people and are amazing to work with. Initially, we did not plan to spend so much on a location as we were trying to have a low budget wedding, but we fell in love at first sight with both the plantation house and the Cannons. We looked at a number of other venues and felt no personal connection to the places or to the people we were working with. Jo Anne was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns via email and they worked very hard to make sure our day was perfect. We truly feel like a part of their extended family (and they a part of ours) because we grew so close to them through this experience. Our guests were in awe of the beauty of the plantation house and grounds, and our wedding was an amazing day. We would highly recommend considering Rock Hill for a beautiful Virginia wedding.

Rock Hill was a perfect venue for my wedding. Jo Anne and Will are a very caring, professional couple and the site is beautiful. Rock Hill offered a lot of helpful information during the planning process on other venders as well. I ended up finding my caterer, florist, and cake vendor through them and was very pleased with their service too!
The only struggles we had were unexpected candle restrictions a week or so before the wedding when we had already planned on our centerpieces being candle arrangements (we compromised and it turned out beautifully), and our conflict on whether or not we would be permitted to set the chairs out on wet grass as it rained the morning of our wedding (which we ended up doing, and the wedding was perfect).
With those things said, I am very thankful I came across Rock Hill and would highly recommend the location for any couple.

What a wonderful place for a wedding but most of all you will love Jo Anne and Will. They were so helpful and wonderful to work with. They went above and beyond to help you in any way they could. It didn't take me long to pick Rock Hill as the place for my wedding. It was absolutely breath taking from the grounds to the bridal room and reception hall. It's a beautiful venue for an outdoor wedding but most of all they have other options as well if it rains. Which for me on my wedding day it did. I had no doubt in my mind that my wedding day would still be just as I pictured even with the rain thanks to Will and Jo Anne. I wasn't worried at all but I knew even more that I didn't have to be with all the work Jo Anne and Will did in making my day just as great. We were married in the reception hall which proved to be not only perfect for a reception but also for a ceremony. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding. Lots of guests commented on how this was one of the nicest weddings they have been to. I can't say enough how thankful I am that I picked Rock Hill and how I will always remember all they did for me.

We could have not found a more perfect place for our wedding. The setting is beautiful and Rev. Will and JoAnne are so easy to work with. They anticipate every need while remaining personable -- they truly enjoy what they do, which translates into a wonderful time for everyone!

Rev. Will Cannon and his wife Jo Anne Cannon, the owner's of Rock Hill Plantation House, were a pleasure to work with. Jo Anne will jump through a hoop trying to assist you in anyway possible. Not only are they friendly, professional, and personable, but they truly care about making your big day, the best possible. Minutes prior to my ceremony, Jo Anne was running around moving flowers and directing guests. It was a very hot day and she offered my guests her own personal stash of parasols to use during the ceremony. Rev. Will Cannon performed a lovely ceremony and his charm and good humor is one of the things that made me fall in love with this venue. The house itself is picture perfect, worth every penny!

This was the best place for a wedding. The site is beautiful and the grounds are kept immaculate. Rev. Will and Jo Anne are the best at what they do. As soon as we spoke to them we had a sense of security and a level of comfort not always experienced. They worked with us to ensure our wedding was the best it could be for us. The prices are very reasonable and they truly give you what they promise for your money and much more. It's a wonderful place and Rev. Will did a great job performing our ceremony (at no additional cost). They don't have any hidden fees. We can't say enough about them except to say that we are definitely planning to host more events there.

Rev. Will and Jo Anna Cannon are both amazing to work with!! They are very kind and ensured that everything was taken care off. The day of the wedding, they both helped and worked hard to ensure that our wedding was wonderful. Their plantation house is a very beautiful place to have an out door wedding. They also have a great back up plan if it is to hot or raining outside. We are very happy that we chose this place to have our wedding!!
