    Rhodes Hall was a great place to have a wedding

    Caroline did a great job of making the day easy for me! Rhodes Hall is absolutely gorgeous. I loved that I did not feel the need to add any decorations to the inside of the venue. I forgot to bring the few artificial flowers that I planned to tie to a few seats outside for the ceremony. The yard is gorgeous too, so there really was no need for any decor there either. The venue is reasonably priced and worth even more because of great staff like Caroline.

    The perfect venue for a romantic, intimate wedding!

    We hosted our intimate 30 guest wedding here and it was perfect! The venue itself is so epic and makes for the perfect photo backdrop. Our guests loved the layout of the indoor reception and raved that it felt like having dinner with royalty! We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and Caroline was so accommodating through the full planning process. I really hope more people start choosing this incredible venue for their big day! It’s a true Atlanta gem.

    Amazing time

    Caroline has done a such a fantastic job helping us! The venue is beautiful and service is fantastic! Definitely will do my vow renewal there as well

    Overall, everything was wonderful! The venue was beautiful and clean, and everyone loved taking pictures at a castle! We're still waiting for our photos back from the photographer, but we know they'll be lovely - that place is truly a treasure! Chrystal and her staff are so attentive and kind and easy to work with as well. I'm so glad I stumbled upon Rhodes Hall! 10/10 would always recommend!

    We just had our wedding at Rhodes Hall last weekend and are so happy we did! Chrystal and her staff were extremely easy to work with. She responded quickly to my emails and questions, and came up with great ideas when it came to planning our reception. We had a small guest list (about 35), and it was the perfect size! With not knowing how the weather would turn out, we planned to have everything inside. We had our bar in the den, dance floor/DJ in the main room, and seated guests in the library and parlor. My husband and I had our sweetheart table in the parlor, as well as our cake on the beautiful marble table. The weather turned out beautifully and we were able to open the front door so guests could mingle on the huge front porch. One of the reasons we chose RH is for the history and beautiful decor inside. We loved the fact we didn't have to do much to decorate for our reception. Also, we took advantage of going up the tower to have our pictures taken. What a view of the city!

    This venue is awesome! We had our fairytale wedding with horse and carriage! I would highly recommend this venue! Chrystal and her staff are absolutely amazing!

    I just had my wedding last week at Rhodes Hall and it couldn't have been more perfect and beautiful! Chrystal is so wonderful and attentive to any need you might have. It's a HUGE plus that you can bring your own alcohol too because it ended up saving so much money in the end. The extensive list of preferred caterers provides a wide range of choices and prices that fit any budget. The access to the turret was breathtaking too! If you're looking for a true Atlanta venue, look no further than Rhodes Hall!

    I have always thought that Rhodes Hall was a terrific venue and have been fascinated by it's Romanesque castle façade coupled with the ornate Victorian interior. So it was really an easy choice for my partner and I who married on Sunday, April 24th, 2016. We had 95 guests with our ceremony on the steps, cocktail and reception split inside and out so that the dance floor could be in the reception. It was a bit windy for the piping drape and urns so be certain you weight down well.
    Chrystal was a true joy, her experience with the venue gave her the knowledge to make great suggestions. While we did add florals and décor on the tables and mantels, we kept them in the feel of the home very lush and loose. We wanted people to explore the home the whole evening, not just for ceremony or dinner.
    We put the bar into the den so it was just off the dance floor (in the reception hall ) and would keep people flowing through the home even after dinner. She offered to work with us every step of the way and was always easy to reach when needed. I got my cake bar in the parlor with my 60" rounds plus sweetheart table and the rest of the guests were either seated in the library or on the porch. Dinner was buffet style, then we all returned for dancing and mingling. Several did mingle on the front and side porches, taking photos of the home, ceremony or photo backdrop.
    The day of is truly a whirlwind, the staff was on top of everything. I'm very hands on and they wouldn't allow me to do anything. = ) I too, returned from my honeymoon to find my security deposit check had been returned. It was even easy to pick up the cooler we realized had been left there about 2 weeks we later. I can't wait to see the rest of our photos as the peeks I've gotten have been amazing! I know I didn't get the chance to thank you all then, but I do wish to say THANKS! to each of you who helped make our day so very special!

    I will forever look back fondly at Rhodes Hall as OUR castle on Peachtree, it was truly a magical setting to get married in! We planned for our ceremony to be held on the lawn with the cocktail hour outside, a buffet dinner indoors, and dancing on the porch, and fortunately the weather on March 13th ended up being perfect so everything went exactly as planned! We had 117 total guests, and originally I was a little concerned of what our Plan B would be if the weather ended up not going our way (as only 100 people can be seated indoors, and March weather in Atlanta can be so wildly unpredictable) but everything went better than perfect! The building is so gorgeous, I can't wait until we get our wedding photos back! We had our engagement photos taken there as well, and they came out beautifully. Such a unique venue, I'd give it 10 stars if I could! Chrystal Butts was very professional to work with throughout the planning process. We just got back from our honeymoon a few days ago, and our security deposit refund check was already waiting for us in the mail, super efficient. If you want a truly standout venue, book Rhodes Hall!

    Rhodes Hall was the perfect venue for my fairy tail wedding! The castle was beautiful on the inside and outside! My wedding was outdoors which was perfect as I arrived on a horse and carriage! My decorations were very minimal because of the beauty of the venue! The staff was perfect! Chrystal was there from beginning to end and I appreciate how welcoming she made me feel! Everything went off without a hitch! The price was reasonable! Rhodes Hall is by far the best place to have your wedding in Atlanta!

    I got married at Rhodes Hall on April 12th of 2015. Everything about this place is amazing! It's beautiful both inside and outside, so the decorating I needed to do was minimal. The staff is also incredible! I loved working with Chrystal leading up to and on the day of the wedding. Everything was a blur for me but went off without a hitch! It's also very reasonable priced (for those considering this venue it's a historical building so you can write it off in your taxes) and they let you bring your own alcohol! Best place to get married in Atlanta.

    There were about 70 people at the wedding and ceremony. It is a smaller venue; 70 was a perfect number. We used Talk of the Town as our caterer and they worked very well with Rhodes Hall to have everything perfect! Beautiful bridal room to get ready in beforehand. I did not have a wedding planner and did most of the planning myself. It's nice that this venue doesn't require a planner and even worked with me.

    My hubby pushed for Rhodes Hall and after he hadn't liked my other three venue picks I was game to book them! They are pretty affordable and we had a Friday night wedding which helped. We worked with Chrystal who was extremely responsive and helpful with any question I sent her. Day of went off without a hitch. I would recommend having your ceremony inside if possible as my entrance down the staircase was unique and beautiful. They also let us upstairs to take roof top sunset pics and I am super excited to see how they turn out. This venue has so many pretty features inside you don't need to decorate much and the bridal suite is gorgeous!

    Awesome location for our Rehearsal Dinner party for 88 of our closest family members and friends!
    When we started searching for a location close to the Lenox/Buckhead area of Atlanta where we could throw a one of a kind party that everyone will remember for years to come, Rhodes Hall was it!
    We decorated and made this fantastic castle on Peachtree ours for the evening.....beautiful. Since we could bring in our own alcohol (we had beer and wine) it made the evening affordable. Three hours to set up, four hours for the event and one hour to clean up was just perfect. Their Events Director Chrystal Butts went above and beyond to answer all our questions along the way and helped us at every turn! I would recommend her and Rhodes Hall to anyone looking for a special location to hold an event. Very pleased :) THANK YOU!!

    My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Rhodes Hall. Chrystal was so helpful. She promptly responded to all of our emails and offered suggestions whenever we asked. Her experience with weddings at the venue really shines through. Rhodes Hall is a castle in the middle of Atlanta which makes for a unique wedding venue. Due to the historic nature and beautiful style of the venue, we didn't need excessive decor to make it look amazing. We did all of our decor ourselves, and we were allowed to bring it all the night before and store it in the basement which was unbelievably helpful. I really don't think we would have been able to pull off doing our own decor if we had gone with another venue. The bridal suite has had a recent makeover and is BEAUTIFUL which made for great pictures. The venue is also very reasonably priced. We were working with a budget, and it fit that perfectly. In addition to the space, you get so many other things with the rental including chairs, tables, all of the historic furniture, FREE parking (hard to come by in midtown Atlanta) and the use of the event staff. I also liked that they don't force you into using a personal caterer attached to the venue. They have a pretty big list of "preferred" caterers, so it's easy to find what you want and what will fit your budget. We decided to have our ceremony on the stairs leading up to the porch while our guests were seated on the front lawn. With the possibility of rain on our big day, it was easy to come up with an alternative arrangement either inside with the beautiful spiral staircase in the background or on the HUGE porch outside. It was great knowing that we had other options that would be equally as beautiful if we needed them. We got so many compliments from our guests on our choice of venue. I can't say enough about how awesome Rhodes Hall is and how glad we are that we chose it for our wedding. We have amazing memories and beautiful pictures that will last a lifetime.

    This was the best venue to have a wedding. My (now) husband and I loved Rhodes Hall from the moment we stepped foot on the venue. We immediately booked Rhodes and had our dream wedding last week. We received so many compliments about our venue when we showed pictures throughout the planning process and later when our guests came for the wedding. Chrystal Butts was so helpful throughout the process!!!

    My wedding was so beautiful and gorgeous! Thanks to the help of the staffs Chrystal Butts, Carla Penque, and everyone else. It was an amazing venue, unlike any other venues myself and other folks have been to. I researched 30 different venues around the area (Primrose, Atrium, Villa Christina, Garden at Great Oaks, Carl House, Botanical Garden, etc.) , and Rhodes Hall is just absolutely the best choice I have ever made to pick my wedding venue. Super romantic, intimate, and historical. Everyone enjoyed the venue and we went up to the roof top and the view was just amazing. Everything inside Rhodes Hall is so pretty and unique, especially the beautiful stain glass window so colorful and the staircase is just gorgeous. We like the different rooms, at first we worried that people won't be in the same room but it worked out perfectly because it was initiate and yet everyone feel close by. Everyone just mingle from room to room. The dance floor was great on the porch. Oh the bridal room is so spacious and beautiful. Everything looks so gorgeous. I wish I have a picture to post on wedding wire to share with you.

    The space was beautiful! The staff was wonderful and knew exactly what lighting woul be best in the space with photos (always important for a wedding)! They were flexible with our change of date and our unique style. I had grown up dreaming of getting married at Rhodes Hall, and they made sure that my dream became a stress free reality!

    Rhodes Hall was an absolute perfect venue. As the bestman in our wedding said in his speech, every girl wants to grow up and get married in a castle! We just got married on the second weekend in October. The weather couldn't have been any nicer, about 77 and sunny. Some tables were out in the yard, some were inside. And we used the porch as our dance floor.

    Chrystal, the events coordinator (and historic arts coordinator), was amazing. She was extremely prompt in her communication as well as helpful in recommending vendors and ideas for us. She was a world of information and was right in the mix with the caterer and wedding planer.

    My favorite thing about Rhodes Hall was that it wasn't the same ole' country club/hotel ballroom. I had envisioned a wedding that would be more like throwing a party at a big southern mansion, allowing people to walk around, mingle, and enjoy all that the home has to offer. All of my guests raved about what a unique venue we had, how convenient it is to the attractions in Atlanta, and how it will always stand out in their minds as one of the best, most fun weddings they've ever been to.

    My husband and I are so happy that we selected Rhodes Hall for our wedding ceremony and reception location. We primarily worked with Chrystal Butts, she is amazing and so organized. She was so quick to respond to my emails and phone calls and she had some great tips and suggestions.
    Rhodes Hall is such a gorgeous venue for an event, especially a wedding! My photographer has been doing weddings for decades and said this is one of his favorite venues to shoot because of the natural beauty. If you want amazing wedding pictures, Rhodes Hall is the place! They let the bride and groom go up to the top of the tower with their photographer. Those pictures alone are more than worth the rental fee!
    My husband and I were doing a DIY wedding on a tight budget (about $10,000 for 50 guests) and we were able to pull it off because we chose Rhodes Hall. Because it is so beautiful already, we spent very little on decorations. They have a great list of approved caterers for all budgets and tastes, we chose Soiree Catering who was served beautiful and very delicious food that was very reasonably priced. Also, Rhodes Hall allows you to bring your own alcohol (your caterer has to serve it to your guests), which saves a lot of money. We served our guests red and white wine, champagne, beer and a signature drink.
    Our guests were blown away by Rhodes Hall and how perfect of a wedding venue it was. My husband, our officiant and I stood at the top of the stairs on the front porch for the ceremony, our guests sat in chairs on the front lawn. The food was served buffet style in the dining room, with tables and chairs for our guests throughout the rest of the main floor. The DJ, four high boy tables and the bar was set up on the front porch, which was a perfect spot for dancing.
    Also: they recently (August/September 2013) installed central air in Rhodes Hall, so comfort inside during the warmer months is no longer a concern.
    I had the wedding of my dreams thanks to Rhodes Hall!

    We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our marriage. We were extremely happy that everything went amazing! The staff was very attentive, nice and accommodating. Our friends and family spoke highly of the venue and how it was such a unique and perfect venue for the celebration. We were very pleased with the responsiveness with help and time resolving any issues and answering to any questions we had. This was a special night for us and we are truly thankful that we chose the Rhodes Hall. I hope to be back for another fun event. I recommend the Rhodes Hall and their staff to anyone planning and an upcoming event.

    Crystal and her staff at Rhodes Hall were amazing! Crystal was very professional, answered any and all questions we had in a quick and timely manner. We had numerous people from our wedding tell us how beautiful the venue is (our wedding was in the evening) and how they would even recommend it to others! I cannot speak enough good things about Rhodes Hall and the staff, they honestly made my dream wedding a reality!

    Absolutely LOVED the venue. Especially the rooftop view overlooking the city (only bride and groom and photographer get to experience).

    Chrystal Butts was a pleasure to work with any would recommend her to any blushing bride! She works with any possible situation that may occur.

    Rhodes Hall venue and it's staff were perfect! The beauty of the venue combined with the professionalism of the staff was just what we needed; especially with the weather causing our event to be moved indoors at the last minute. They made the bride and groom feel special and all the guests comfortable with the flow during the ceremony, changeover and reception. A sincere thank you for all of your help not only the day of, but all the days leading up to it.

    My husband and I were looking for a venue that would partner with us in the planning and execution of our wedding day. The event coordinator and staff at Rhodes Hall were unmatched. They always went out of their way to accommodate my requests as much as possible. The actual venue is gorgeous. When looking for a venue, a place that offered a beautiful and unique background for pictures was important. I do not think I could have picked a more beautiful place in the Atlanta area. The architecture and furniture were in great condition and absolutely beautiful. They provided plenty of tables and chairs that were all in good condition as well. I cannot say enough good things about this place. My wedding was everything that I could have ever imagined. Everyone who came said that it was the most beautiful and eloquent wedding they had ever attended. All of my vendors were very much appreciated and worked well with the staff at Rhodes Hall.     Chrystal Butts and the entire Rhodes Hall staff was the most exceptional set people I have ever worked with when planning an major event.

    I am a very particular person when it comes to quality and service and I was blow completely away with the level of quality, service, respect and flexibility they provided myself, family and guests.

    We had our daughters wedding and reception at Rhodes Hall and couldn't have been happier! It was absolutely perfect! RH provides a beautiful setting that your guests will talk about for weeks. I'm still hearing compliments. Chrystal, the Events Coordinator, was a tremendous help. She was quick to answer any questions we had. She and her staff are completely professional and extremely helpful. We had a wonderful experience here and would recommend RH to anyone!

    Rhodes Hall is a beautiful venue. My fiancé and I booked it online half a year in advance with fingers crossed, as we were moving to the Atlanta area shortly before our wedding and would not be able to visit before our move. Fortunately, it was as lovely as the pictures! The venue comes with a good amount of tables and chairs, so we didn't have to rent any extra. Our flowers were minimal, because the house is so decorative on its own. Also, Chrystal, the event coordinator at Rhodes, is a delight to work with. She is professional and answered all of my questions promptly, and yet is very relaxed. I would recommend Rhodes to anyone looking to marry or have a reception in a beautiful, historic location in the Atlanta area.

    Rhodes Hall speaks for itself; if the outside doesn't sell you then make an appointment to see inside. They do have you use their preferred caterers, or pay $1000, but the list is extensive and offers great options. One of the other great options is that you provide the alcohol, a huge cost saver, and they provide you with some tables and chairs. Uplighting on the porch columns further enhance the beauty of the venue and make you the envy of any passerbys on Peachtree; we had 2 attempted wedding crashings.

    Rhodes Hall was the perfect venue for our wedding. In particular, Chrystal Butts was an absolute DREAM to work with. Any time we wanted to come check things out to see how we wanted things set up, she was more than willing to let us come in and show us around. Also, the day of our wedding, Chrystal was drenched in sweat from helping set up. The night of the wedding, another woman, Frances, was there to help out and she was amazing as well. Anything we needed- she was there begging to help. I feel like we got a great value for the price and Rhodes Hall was a beautiful backdrop for our pictures.

    We loved having our small wedding here. It was so unique and our pictures came out beautifully!! The staff at Rhodes went above and beyond our expectations and worked with us and our planner flawlessly. I didn't want the night to end :)

    My daughter's wedding reception was held at Rhodes Hall. She had wanted to have her reception there for years, even before she was ever engaged. So when the time came to actually plan her wedding, the choice for her reception venue was easy. Rhodes Hall was everything she had hoped it would be. The building and rooms are so beautiful that we did not need to do much in the way of decorating. Chrystal was such a pleasure to work with. She was so accommodating to our wishes and needs. She and her staff were always professional and always quick to respond to our questions and concerns. We did not have a wedding planner so when Chrystal called all our vendors to coordinate their deliveries or set ups, it greatly reduced my stress. Chrystal was very flexible in allowing us to bring things for the reception the day before and store them in the basement. After the reception we realized that we had forgotten some important items at Rhodes like my daughter's veil, a camera charger, and the marriage certificate! Chrystal and her staff found all the items and kept them safe for us until we were able to go pick them up. If you choose to have an event at Rhodes, it will be the most memorable event ever. Your guests will never forget it and you will cherish the memories always.

    Chrystal and her team were great! We didn't have a wedding planner and they really heled to organize all the vendors' drop offs/ pick ups for the reception. They were so flexible with us and let us drop off all of our beverages and table centerpieces on the day before the wedding so we wouldn't have to worry about that the next day. She truly helped put my mother's and my minds at ease so we could relax and enjoy the day! I would recommend Rhodes Hall in a heartbeat and hope to attend an event there in the future so I can enjoy the BEAUTIFUL setting again!

    Krystal at Rhodes Hall was a joy to work with. She was patient, full of ideas and always quick to respond to any questions my family and I had. Rhodes Hall was the perfect setting for our wedding and reception of 55-60 guests. The staircase made a beautiful entrance for me and the patio made a great dance floor. Only complaint would be the white chairs, definitely should have gone with the gold ones for our indoor ceremony, only because they took up WAY to much room and I had hardly any room to walk down the aisle. Other than that, it was a perfect day and I would highly recommend this beautiful wedding to any bride dreaming of a fairytale wedding.

    Rhodes Hall was wonderful. They gave us a list of approved Cateing Companies and we were very happy with the Catering Company we chose. Rhodes Hall worked with us on planning where everything should be for the Reception. The pictures inside and out were amazing. Our daughter was so pleased with everything that she called us that night on their honeymoon and said it was like a fairytale. She felt like a princess at the castle.

    We used Rhodes Hall for our ceremony and reception. It was the perfect place for our medium-sized wedding (100 people).

    The house is very unique and ornate and very little decorating is required. The beautiful house speaks for itself. Our guest loved the unique setting and enjoyed exploring the history of the house.

    The staff at Rhodes Hall worked great with my caterer and wedding coordinator on the day of the wedding and the event coordinator was very responsive and helpful during the wedding planning process. The staff was great with suggestions and with working with our ideas.

    The midtown location was great for our local guest with easy access to/from 85 and it worked well for our out-of-town guests with several hotel options close by (and a few within walking distance).

    We were very pleased with how Rhodes Hall and their staff helped make our wedding day special.

    Rhodes Hall provides a intimate venue for a wedding. They are clearly very accustomed to working with brides, caterers and vendors. We were extraordinarily surprised at the positive affect the backdrop of this beautiful mansion had on the wedding pictures. Crystal is especially helpful and even assisted with carrying materials in and showing us where to store drinks etc. the day before the wedding. She is also very helpful in walking through the rooms and working out details for decorations in advance. She had us visit several times and conducted a walk through with the vendors ahead of the wedding. This is what made all of the actual wedding activities go off so flawlessly. Rhodes Hall is a picturesque and warm setting for a wedding. Our daughter summarized her feelings about the entire experience in one word, "perfect".

    My husband and I had an amazing time at our wedding and reception. Rhodes Hall did an amazing job of working with our vendors and setting up the venue. It was a dream come true when I walked up the day of the wedding and saw how the venue was transforming into an enchanted castle for our big day! I was so pleased with the way our guest were treated and accomodated the day of the wedding. They were professional with handling all deposits and fees and flexible with time lines and our vision of the venue. We could not have picked a better venue to have our wedding. Also my husband and I planned our entire wedding ourselves and Rhodes Hall did an excellent job of executing the timeline and our plans the day of. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely choose Rhodes Hall. It was a magical day thanks to Rhodes Hall!

    I had no coordinator for my wedding planning and so I was stressed from the start. Chrystal and her staff put all at ease with their devotion to my big day. There were email reminders of payments due, questions answered quickly, and flexibility at every turn. Chrystal stayed after on a few days to help us and was there the day of our wedding, giving us more time on the dance floor! :) We were beyond pleased. HIGHLY recommend this venue to brides who want a relaxed wedding with the wow factor, not the wow price!

    On April 17, 2011 our Princess married her Prince at the Castle on Peachtree. The wedding was truly a fairy tale experience. Karla worked with us on our rehearsal, ceremony and reception. Her professionalism, organization and upbeat personality truly added something special. I would highly recommend Rhodes Hall for any future events you might have.

    Rhodes Hall was the perfect space for our wedding ceremony. We had an intimate wedding of about 50 people and we were able to easily flip the space from the ceremony to the reception. Rhodes Hall stood out to us for several reasons. First, the space was beautiful and unique. Of all the places we searched around Atlanta, non of them compared to Rhodes Hall. For example, we wanted to take advantage of the large spiral staircase that opens into the main room; instead of walking down an aisle we walked down the staircase. There were many special qualities about this space that made our wedding unique. Second, we were planning a Christmas themed wedding and Rhodes Hall was completely decorated for Christmas so we had minimal things to buy (only floral arrangements for the reception tables). Third, the staff was very friendly and helpful through the planning process. We were extremely happy with our choice and we can't imagine the wedding being anywhere else.

    Chrystal and her staff were a joy to work with. Rhodes Hall is one of the few venues in Atlanta that doesn't try to lock you into a $10-15,000 contract. The price is right, and they are easy to work with. The setting is gorgeous, and really made our wedding day special

    I just got married at Rhodes Hall!!..I fell in love with the place upon arrival!! I had to have my wedding there once I went inside! Love the rooftop!! Only the couple and your photographer can go up there for photos! I've always loved rooftops so it was inevitable I found the place of my dreams!! This place has the fantasy feel for couples that want a vintage or fairy tale wedding/event.. the history of the castle is incredible! Chrystal the event director was very informative and helpful!! She is sometimes hard to reach but does get back to you. They are on the tee to the time of rental. I would recommend this place to any family member or friends. They are very accommodating and flexible as long as you communicate well with the staff! If you get married in the summer bring fans or u'll have the glistening look! Five stars++!

    The perfect venue for anybody wanting an intimate and classy setting for a wedding in the heart of Atlanta! Chrystal & her team were very helpful and accommodating, and the natural beauty of the "castle on Peachtree" meant only minimal decorating was necessary. Very flexible and affordable, especially compared to similar venues in Atlanta. Don't forget to ask to climb the tower for a sunset picture with the Midtown skyline in the background.

    Rhodes Hall is beautiful, and Chrystal and her staff are fantastic. It's an excellent value, as couples are allowed to provide their own beer, wine and liquor. Because it is an historic home, the air conditioning doesn't function well. At our July wedding, it was quite hot inside. The staff did warn us that it would be warm--we just didn't expect it to be quite as warm as it actually was. Overall, I'd highly recommend Rhodes Hall to anyone. It's the perfect place for a dreamy, fairy-tale wedding!

    The entire staff, especially Chrystal, was amazing to work with and really made our wedding special. She was very helpful during the planning process. And on the day of the wedding, Chrystal was so amazing to pay attention to every detail and help out in any way possible. They weren't in the way, but they were always there when you needed just anything. The beautiful and unique house is the icing on the cake!!! I would recommend anyone looking for a special venue to look at Rhodes Hall. And you'll be so pleased at how easy they are to work with.

    Loved Rhodes Hall! Chrystal (the contact person for Rhodes) was awesome. One bad thing about Rhodes is there is a noise ordinance and music has to be off at 10pm. Also, because it is a historic venue, there are a lot of rules like you can't use sparklers, dark colored rose petals on floor or outside and things like that. Great price compared to other venues in Atlanta. Would recommend.

    Thanks for your review! City of Atlanta does have a 10pm noise ordinance which we are required to note in our contract information, however we are not located directly in a residential district, so the noise ordinance is not as strict there. We do have many events that go past 10pm, and we have never had any issues with noise complaints because of our location. We do have additional rules to protect the venue, but we try to be as accommodating as we can to our renters's requests, within reason, to ensure that they still have a wonderful, beautiful event in our original, historic, and elegant venue. We hope your wedding was everything you dreamed it would be at Rhodes Hall, even with the additional rules. Thanks again and Congratulations!

    If you want your guest to have a real Southern/Atlanta experience, Rhodes Hall is a beautiful and charming venue. It's one of the last remaining houses on Peachtree Street. You feel like you are in an old home that's been turned museum, only you are allowed to dance and have fun. We had guests that were ready to pack it up and move down to Atlanta.

    Excellent staff and beautiful location. My only concern is related to the pictures of confederacy on the windows. I realize this is an historic building and the windows may be part of the original structure, however some consideration should be given to the sensitivity of this matter. Overall I was pleased with the staff and the facility. I have already referred friends to this location for events and will continue to do so.

    Rhodes Hall was an absolutely beautiful location for a wedding. The only reason they got a 3 on flexibility was that there are certain things you cannot do there since it is an historical site, however, you are told all of the rules up front.

    Beautiful Venue, Wonderful Location everything was perfect except for the HEAT. I should have known better. The venue has no central AC and we got married in July 20th. They assured me the window units would provide adequate cooling. Not so. It wasn't warm, it was bloody hot. It was significantly cooler outside. Our cake melted : ( before it was cut. If you have an event here in mild weather months i am sure it will be spectacular. But if you are having it at any time of year that is hot or cold- look else where. The staff was great too!

    We are truly sorry for the issues with the heat and A/C at your event. We never want anyone to be uncomfortable at an event at Rhodes Hall, and we do everything in our power to ensure that each event is successful and every person leaves Rhodes Hall with a great experience. Unfortunately the house does not have central A/C due to its historic nature and restoration issues, but we do have window units throughout most of the event space, and for the most part, they do a good job of keeping the space cool. We do however have excellent heat for the winter months, so July and August are the only months of the year when weather becomes an issue for events due to the heat outside. We do everything we can to keep the space as cool as possible, but once the guests start arriving, and guests and vendors are coming in and out of the space, and occassionally the doors get left open, it is hard to keep the cool air inside where it belongs. Of course anywhere in Atlanta in July is going to be hot if you have a large group of people in one space, and July and August are probably the least popular wedding months in Atlanta because of that. We do most of our events in the Fall and Spring since the weather in Atlanta is much more agreeable at that time, and the house and event space is much more comfortable at that time. Since Rhodes Hall is a historic house and over 100 years old, it obviously has certain aspects about it that can't be helped, and we try to be upfront about these conditions of the house with anyone who comes for a rental tour, no matter what season they are looking to rent. We don't want anyone to feel like they received misleading information about the house, and most people appreciate the historic nature of the home and accept it as it is for their event. As you can see from our many positive reviews, most of our renters have a very positive experience at Rhodes Hall, and we are always striving to make everyone's experience here a wonderful, memorable one.

    If you are pushy enough you can have your dance floor inside. You just have to rent the floor.

    You don't have to be pushy to have your dance floor inside. We always allow people to choose whether they would like to have a dance floor inside or outside based on how they want to use the space for their event. I try to encourage people to have their dance floor outside if the weather is going to be nice, and if they are going to have more than 100 people because it allows them to use more of the inside space for seating and mingling, and allows people to flow through the indoor/outdoor space easier, but they are welcome to choose what works for their event. The only reason we require you to rent a dance floor inside is to protect the historic wood flooring as best as possible.

    Perfect for a small wedding but things to consider

    Let me start out by saying that this venue was absolutely perfect for the theme and size of our wedding; not to mention it is reasonably priced. Chrystal was mostly great to work with (we had small hiccups in sorting out the rehearsal but they were ultimately resolved). She was very helpful in answering all our questions and accommodating with meetings, including dropping our things off before the big day. We absolutely LOVE the event space overall. The bridal suite is beautiful, the rooms are so unique, the staircase OMG, and the dance floor out on the porch is so cool.
    HOWEVER. Rhodes Hall has 2 staff and a security guard present the day of weddings. Chrystal is not typically there, which is understood. The staff she did have present at our wedding were TERRIBLE. Fortunately, I was only aware of a couple incidents the day of the wedding. One of which being our exit which was completely ruined. We were rushed out and they didn't even open the front gate for us to go out. I was nearly in tears. We had until 9pm to end our event and until 10pm to cleanup and be out of the venue. After being literally pushed out, our Uber picked us up at 8:51pm. Meaning we were actually forced to call Uber even earlier. Everyone who stayed to cleanup couldn't have been there any later than 9:15pm. As the bride and groom, we had access to the tower with our photographer for a sunset session. This was discussed and planned for. Two separate people had to search someone on staff out and ultimately my photographer ended up calling one of them personally to ask if they could please unlock the door to the tower. His response: well you have to have an event to have access. To which she kindly reminded him that the event was the wedding. They took their sweet time to finally come unlock the tower, taking away time from our reception.
    Our coordinator informed me once we returned from our honeymoon: "The overall attitudes of the staff the day of your wedding from Rhodes Hall. They were not very pleasant, difficult to motivate to do things, and just didn't seem to care about anything but whatever they were watching on their cell phones in their office. I couldn't even get them to unlock the front gate to the exit."
    Additionally, the DJ: "As far as Rhodes Hall goes, I truly love all the people that are there on a daily basis. The 2 guys that were there the day of your wedding, on the other hand, were less than stellar. They did not seem to want to help anyone and annoyed when asked anything. They really only seemed to be interested in watching videos on their phones and rushing everyone off at the end of the night. That being said, I do not think their attitude effected the evening. They largely stayed out of sight from guest and I did not see them interact with anyone except vendors. I would just expect people that represent Rhodes Hall to very accommodating and helpful to everyone."
    My parents had similar complaints. Apparently, they remained in the office with the doors shut almost the entire time, with the exception of coming out twice to fill their plates with food. They were very difficult to find when we did need them.
    Chrystal has since been informed of all of the issues we had. I know she is incredibly disappointed in the staff that was present that day.
    I will conclude with: This venue is perfect for a small wedding/event looking for a beautiful back drop. BUT I would ask about the staff that will be present the day of your event.

    Thank you for your honest and open review. I know we have already discussed this, and I have personally addressed these issues with all of my staff and security, and dealt with each staff person from this event accordingly, but let me just say again that I am incredibly sorry for the issues that took place during your event, and very disappointed in my staff for their behavior. Appropriate actions have been taken to ensure that this will definitely NOT happen in the future. We highly value every wedding that takes place here, and want each couple's experience to reflect the quality that our venue sets forth, from initial inquiry, to rental tour, to booking, to planning, to the big day, and beyond. I personally strive to treat each couple with the same respect and attention leading up to their wedding as I would want for my own, but unfortunately my staff for this particular event did not help carry that through on the big day, and for that I am truly sorry. I do wish you both all the best of luck, and hope that you can eventually look past the issues of the day to see the love and beauty that came out of it. Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous, and reflect the true magic that the two of you created with your beautiful wedding!

    If you are looking to have your wedding here, DON'T DO IT!!! That is, if they even answer your phone call. Talk about false promises. Not only will you die from sweating to death bc the AC Is Ancient, but plan on getting eaten alive by the Mosquitos on the untamed dead grass and flowerless lawn. The condition of the lawn isn't even close to what the pictures show. The cake melted bc of the heat in the house. BTW, the guests were scratching their bug bites all nite! Don't even think about seeing your deposit again bc they will find any reason to keep it from you. And don't let those fake smiles from the employees and manager fool you, they could care less how your wedding turns out. What a waste of Money!!!

    I am truly sorry you had such a horrible experience at Rhodes Hall. Unfortunately, since Rhodes Hall is a historic house, we do not have central air conditioning in the house. When the house was restored in the 80's and 90's, there were just too many restoration issues and lack of funding to outifit the house with central air conditioning, however it is still on our long-term restoration list to hopefully one day be completed. We install air units into several rooms of the main floor and upstairs offices to cool the house during the late spring, summer, and early fall months, and for the most part, they do a good job. But obviously if you get a large number of people in any enclosed space, it is going to be warm at times. Unfortunately we can not do anything about mosquitoes either, as they are a constant menace in the South, especially in Atlanta, but most people accept that. As for keeping the security deposit, our current staff makes every effort to ensure that the event goes as smoothly as possible so that the renter does not lose their security deposit for any reason, which those would be if the event goes overtime due to guests not leaving at or near the event end time, or vendors not leaving by the clean-up end time, or if there are damages to anything on the property or inside of Rhodes Hall, which can potentially be costly to replace since most of the items are of a historic nature, or if there is any additional excessive clean-up related to your event due to your vendors or the wedding party leaving the house or property in a mess. In most cases, we refund the entire security deposit to our clients, as we typically do not have issues with any of these things, but ultimately the security deposit is there to protect Rhodes Hall in the event of damages, additional clean-up, or additional charges incurred by staff staying overtime, as is the case with any event venue in the city. It is impossible to please everyone, but we strive to do the best that we can do, and as you can see from the many other positive reviews on here, most people would agree with that.
