Amazing Photographers!

Heather and Jason were absolutely the best photographers to work with! Words cannot describe how incredible they are and the work that they do! Was such a blast working with them. Heather and Jason are the sweetest, nicest people, and was such a breath of fresh air. They listen to our thoughts, ideas, and made sure we had everything we needed. Super genuine and definitely can tell they love what they do! We couldn’t be happier with how our pictures turned out and our families rave about the wedding and bridal pictures.

Beautiful Engagement Photos

Revival did our engagement shoot. They really captured my and my husband's (then fiance's) relationship with lots of sweet and funny moments. Jason and Heather are so comfortable to be with and competent at what they do that it makes for a really fun activity. We loved our pictures too. They captured our love of the mountains. Thanks!!

Amazing People and Photographers!

I knew I wanted Revival Photography to be my wedding photographers before I was even engaged. When my husband popped the question I immidiately called Heather and Jason to check their availability. I actually scheduled my wedding day around them because they are the only photographers I would want photographing my wedding/bridal portraits etc. They are even better people than they are photographers and that says so much because they are absolutely amazing photographers! They capture every moment and more! Some of my favorite wedding photos are the candid ones I didn’t even know they were taking! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Thank you Heather and Jason for capturing such an important time in our lives!

Beautiful photographs, wonderful people

Revival's husband and wife team, Heather and Jason, were an absolute dream to work with. From the beautiful photographs of our rehearsal dinner, to all of the detail shots of our very special venue (a family property), to the formal church photographs and very informal, fun dance photos at the end of the night, everything about our day was captured beautifully by Heather and Jason. They are down to earth, incredibly kind people who immediately recognized my vision for the day and perfectly captured the feel of it all, from traditional to small moments and details that I didn't have time to stop and see myself. My husband was not looking forward to posed photos but they made the entire thing painless and easy, fitting into the group seamlessly. They also took some fantastic overhead photos with their drone, which was an incredible bonus surprise - to see our mountaintop family venue tucked in the glory of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They worked tirelessly on our day, got our preview out the Monday after (!!), and made the entire online viewer process super easy to use and share. We are indescribably grateful to have these amazing memories preserved forever. Thank you, Heather and Jason!

Heather and Jason did the photography for my daughters wedding. They were very accommodating when we changed the venue. They were willing to travel to the new venue. Very professional and creative. The pictures are beautiful!

They were great! My husband and I eloped to the mountains and the photos they took for us gave us a chance to share our day with our friends and family when we came home. They took amazing photos and really captured how we felt for each other. They were accommodating and I liked that they did a survey to get to know us some before doing our event. I highly recommend them!

There are many photographers out there but only a handful are actually photography artist. Heather & Jason are a beautiful example of photographers who are also artist. I have seen a lot of their work and was THRILLED when my son and fiancé, now wife, choose Revival for their wedding. The day was perfect and we have Heather and Jason to thank for capturing it all. And might I add, they are wonderful & beautiful people inside and out.

Heather + Jason are an amazing team of highly talented photographers and we loved working with them on our wedding day! It is clear that they really enjoy their work, and their positive attitudes and clear directions made getting all of our photos taken a breeze. Working with Heather and Jason Barr of Revival Photography was a joy from beginning to end. My wife met with them during the planning stages for our wedding and was invited to dinner to sit down and personally discuss every aspect of our vision for the wedding. They communicated with us consistently throughout the planning process, coordinated with the venue, and were completely flexible to our scheduling needs. On the day of the wedding Jason and Heather arrived as scheduled and split up to take pictures with the bridal party and groomsmen as they prepared for the big event. Jason was instantly at ease with the groomsmen and was soon joking along with us and taking many candid photos. Heather hung out with the bridal party and went right to work organically capturing the beautiful moments that arise when a bride prepares for her big day. Both Heather and Jason were professional ninjas, weaving in and out of the crowd with their hands always ready over their camera holsters, occasionally taking myself or my wife aside and giving input or asking questions so that they could better do their jobs and it shows in the pictures. Once the ceremony kicked off they really went into ninja mode. We never knew they were there. Later, while reviewing the pictures, my wife and I both found ourselves asking how they got this or that picture, because we never saw them, but they were there to capture every last gesture, expression and unexpected moment. They worked to immortalize our special day and far exceeded any expectation we might have had. When we received our pictures, the process of reviewing them brought all the emotions rushing back, which is exactly what you want with wedding photos. We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Revival Photography, we highly recommend them for any event or photography need anyone might have.

Heather and Jason of Revival Photography are absolutely amazing in all definitions of the term. They are so talented at what they do and provide such a unique take which lends itself to the most gorgeous photos and memories you can imagine! I had never thought about how important it could be to have two photographers for a wedding, but I am SO glad we did! Heather was able to take pictures with the ladies and Jason with the men during pre-ceremony festivities. When my husband I were looking through our highly anticipated photos, we noticed how skilled they are and how well they work as a team (they probably communicate subconsciously, being hubby and wife!) because you only see one of them in a photo if it was on purpose. They put a personalized touch on everything they do that makes you feel special and I believe this, on top of their pure talent, is why they are so great at what they do! I would not even remotely hesitate to recommend them time and time again to anyone and everyone, and I know that 100% of the time, you will get exactly what you're dreaming of!

Heather and Jason are AWESOME!. I had no idea how I could be a bride and still "look natural", but Heather and Jason were so fun and comfortable (while also professional and efficient), they knew how to make Mark and I lose ourselves in the moment - and just be ourselves. Jason and Heather captured the excitement and romance of the day - the smallest details and the beautiful surroundings that helped make our day so special. The resulting photographers are amazing and I can't recommend this talented, fun and wonderful young couple enough!

First things first--Heather and Jason are truly AMAZING photographers and people, and if you’re here reading reviews while trying to decide whether to have them capture your wedding, you should stop right now and book them already! :) I truly don’t have anything but the HIGHEST praise for their work, and I feel so incredibly fortunate that they were there with my husband and me to capture our special day last month. To me, hiring the right photographers was one of the most important aspects of planning our wedding, as I wanted photos that our family could treasure for years. Heather and Jason truly delivered on my expectations and then exceeded them greatly, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

There are "good" photos, and then there are amazing photos that tell a story. The pictures that Heather and Jason took of us, our friends, and our family tell the story of the way our wedding unfolded in the most BEAUTIFUL way--it’s like they took my vision, the details of our wedding, and the happiness and love from our day and were able to portray all of those things in their photos. My wedding was in December, and Heather and Jason had my photos back to me extremely fast--I had well over 1000 stunning photos in my hands within a few short weeks! I still look through them daily, and it is almost impossible to even narrow them down to my top 50 favorites. They are all just that amazing! Heather and Jason have such an awesome eye for detail, and they can genuinely put anyone at ease in photos. It was FREEZING on our wedding day, but we don’t look cold or uncomfortable in a single picture! They also have amazing ideas for poses that don’t look unnatural whatsoever, and everyone in our wedding looks relaxed and joyful in each of our photos. We have received numerous compliments on both our wedding photos and my bridal portraits from others, and I always love telling people about how we are so appreciative of Heather and Jason!

Heather was amazing! I would recommend Revial photography to anyone. She was very professional, patient, easy to work with. She was open to all the ideas we had. Helped us determine the best places for lighting, color etc. Our photos are very impressive, very high quality. They shipped us our USB in professional little boxes with a few prints.

I just can't say enough great things about Revival Photography! They came highly recommended from the start of our wedding planning process and I could tell they would be the perfect photographers from their work alone, but when I met Heather and Jason it absolutely sealed the deal! They are such wonderful,talented people and they truly go above and beyond to exceed expectations. They listened and delivered on every idea I shared, and they came up with so many creative and special ways to capture our wedding moments. We loved Revival so much that we used them for engagement photos and a bridal session in addition to full day wedding photography and it was worth every penny and so much more! Heather and Jason were so wonderful to work with and are so talented! We hired them to do extended family photos as a surprise for my mother's birthday while we were vacationing in North Carolina, and we now have the most beautiful photos to capture memories of our time there. They were especially great about making the most of the natural scenery--even in rain--and handled three young, less-than-cooperative children with ease. They clearly cared about making sure we got all the photos we wanted and were truly a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!

Heather and Jason were fantastic to work with from start to finish! They took photos for our engagement session and wedding ceremony and reception. They are super laid back and were able to make this shy couple feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. I was so impressed with their professionalism, willingness to be super responsive and totally AMAZING photographs. They were able to capture moments in time that are so special to us and that we will now be able to remember always. Our wedding day was a bit of a blur, but we now have images of those special looks, hugs, kisses and smiles of us and our family and friends that are priceless. Their attention to detail far exceeded our expectations and they take such pride in what they do. Heather is absolutely a class act!! From the moment we decided we needed her services to this moment she had been spot on!! If you haven't found a photographer to capture your special day look no further we highly recommend Revival Photography! Heather Ruff Barr and her husband Jason were so much fun to work with. They are the sweetest couple. We have never been comfortable with someone else taking our picture. We freeze up and start feeling anxious because we're not in control. Their sweet personalities immediately put us at ease. Turns out EVERY picture turned out amazing and we didn't have a nervous faces LOL Thank you Heather and Jason for capturing our day and thank you for being a part of our special day ♥

Our family had the pleasure to work with Jason and Heather for two weddings last year - our son's wedding on June 7th , and our daughter's wedding on July 12th. Heather and Jason really managed to capture the essence of our day through their candid shots and beautiful portraits! They were so easy to work with and really helped to make our day stress free and made us feel at ease in front of the camera. You can tell they love what they do and were able to get inspired in the moment by their surroundings rather than just having the cookie cutter shots. They took the time to get to know us a little prior to the day so they could capture the moments that were important to us. Of all the vendors and stressors leading up to the wedding, Heather and Jason were the ones that never once caused me any stress and they made the entire process so smooth and easy! Heather did our small winter wedding at the Mast Farm Inn. She was a pleasure to work with. Very professional, reliable, and responsive. You can tell that she truly loves what she does and wants to make sure she delivers high quality photography. She also very much cares that the client is 100% happy with her services. Heather did a wonderful job photographing our elopement ceremony at the Mast Farm Inn in August 2014. Her services were part of a package arranged by the Mast Farm Inn, but she certainly went above and beyond to ensure that she got the shots that we wanted and also served as our second witness for the official marriage docs! The photos were stunning and arrived beautifully presented to serve as a keepsake for us.

Revival Photography is absolutely wonderful. Their work is beautiful and Heather did a fantastic job with everything. She was very fun to work with and very flexible and got perfect pictures of everyone even though it got quite cold out which always makes things more difficult to do since you get distracted by the cold. She also has a fantastic eye for photography and got some shots that are down right astounding. We couldn't be happier with our wedding pictures and will probably use them again for our next big family event such as for Family pictures when we get around to having a baby. I highly recommend them.

Heather and Jason Barr are warm, relaxed individuals, easy to work with and fun! From start to finish we were confident in their 'professional eye', as well as their commitment to making our daughter's wedding day comfortable with cameras. Heather and Jason were just amazing. Heather and I communicated through email, pinterest and facebook for months leading up to the big day (we lived far away and this was the easiest for me to communicate) and she always responded quickly whenever I had a questions or concern. Both were a blessing to work with, came on time, prepared, and were so calm and friendly. Jason worked with the groom and his groomsmen, and though I was not there for that part of the day, I heard they had a lot of fun getting their shots in. They worked well as a team and were so sweet to us (and each other.) They even recreated a specific shot I found online and it turned out awesome. I would recommend them to any bride.

Revival photography was the main reason I booked my venue because they worked with the venue and did the photography for elopements. I could not have been happier with the work Heather did. All of our pictures are stunning. I am so happy we got to work together.

Heather and Jason are just simply wonderful. We knew the first time we met for coffee we had definitely made the right choice for wedding photographers. How many couples are lucky enough to have TWO extremely talented photographers running around capturing all the magical moments of their wedding day!? You are getting two for the price of one. QUANTITY + QUALITY. I wouldn't have traded these two for any photographer in the world. I sincerely mean that. They really take the time to get to know you and you can tell by browsing through the different weddings they have shot. Each set of pictures is so unique. When I look at them I feel like I am learning a little something about each of the couples. That is what we love so much about our pictures. They just feel like us when you look at them and they bring back all the wonderful, exciting emotions from our wedding day.

I personally hate being photographed alone. I am typically really uncomfortable and that shows in my pictures. Heather was able to get me to relax and I couldn't be happier with the shots she got of me alone. I don't think I have ever looked more happy/comfortable in a photo.

Another thing I loved about these two is that they are super helpful on the actual wedding day. They also are not pushy at all, but keep things moving so you don't have to worry. They have a way of completely disappearing yet being right by your side when you need them for anything. I feel like I didn't even notice the cameras all day.

All in all our wedding photos are more than we could have ever hoped for. They are perfect and GORGEOUS and we will cherish them forever. Thank you so much Heather and Jason!

Heather is so creative and was able to see our vision even better than we could imagine it! Her and Jason's experience is so valuable. Heather always kept in contact through all of the planning and I knew from the first day we were in the best hands! They truly know how to capture the perfect moments. I have seen Revival's work before we decided to even get engaged. I was so impressed with their work right away due to the stunning photography and the lighting within the photos is simply magnificent. They are really the most beautiful pictures. So when the Mast Farm Inn told us that Revival was their photographer of choice for elopements, and for such a good deal, I immediately got more excited about the wedding. Heather is always open to ideas and responds to your questions within minutes. We are so pleased with the final product. She has amazing editing skills and the pictures really show her artistic abilities. These pictures are one of a kind. I wouldn't recommend anyone else for wedding/engagement photography, ever.

Heather and Jason were the perfect wedding photographers! I could not have asked for anything better in terms of service, responses to my questions, and of course quality of the photos! Their website and blog are great examples of their work. I love being able to tell the difference between their photography styles in the multitude of final photos. Heather was wonderful and has a very playful, interactive style, while Jason focused on the details with a particular focus on catching the light in stunning photos. Hal and I enjoyed spending time talking with them beforehand to find a style that would work for all of us and we were both blown away by the photos we received! Heather and Jason at Revival Photography are truly a pleasure to work with. Heather responded to all of my questions right away and made us feel at ease from the get go. Not only are they great people, but they produce amazing work as well. I tend to by shy and nervous in front of the camera, but that hardly comes through in our pictures at all. They are great at capturing those sweet little moments that you will love looking back on after your wedding day. The benefit of having two photographers there is something to take into consideration too--we got two different perspectives of everything that went on that day which was a lot of fun to see! I don't have a single complaint about working with these two; they are extremely talented and provide a great service! :)

I was so excited when my husband said that Heather and Jason were going to be the photographers at our wedding. I had seen some of what they had done in the past and absolutely loved it. Heather and Jason Barr performed nothing short of a miracle in terms of photographing our wedding. The photos that were produced from this wedding are stunning to say the least! Just check out their website and you will agree.
This is a first wedding for my husband and me who are a bit later in life to marry and so we did not take this adventure lightly. We did not want the standard wedding pictures where a room was set up with a standard backdrop and everyone had their canned photo taken which would appear boring and lacking in creativity. This pair blended right into the mix and captured moments that you didn’t even realize they were shooting! A wedding day can be such a blur for most couples, but looking back at the pictures Heather and Jason took we can now just savor all the work that we put into the planning and agonizing over the largest and yet the simplest of details thanks to their combined vision.
Heather and Jason have composed nothing short of a pictorial time capsule, only this one is complete with the same fluid emotions born on our wedding day because of their sharp eye, timing, composition and vision. From getting my hair and makeup done, to the groom getting ready they cover it all. They also captured so many behind the scenes action that as a Bride I could not have possibly experienced.
We have been so very blessed by these two individuals that have shared their talents with us and created a story of our long awaited day that we will only experience once in a lifetime. Their vision and ambition is truly a treasure that we will always have and I cannot imagine any significant event that needs to be photographed not involving Heather and Jason Barr. If only they lived in Virginia.

Jack and I are from Georgia and having to plan our wedding in a different state was not very easy but Jason and Heather Barr, the admirable couple, of Revival Photography made the planning phase a breeze for us. Throughout the entire process they did everything possible to work around our overly busy schedules, kept us updated on each process, and took the time to explain things thoroughly if we had any questions.
The day of the wedding Jason and Heather were incredible. They were around to capture all the moments of getting ready and the day as a whole while being surround by 250 of our guest. Within a couple of weeks we received over 600 photographs on personalized DVDs-each photo was creatively photographed then retouched beautifully. The hardest part for us was picking out our favorites for our Storybook Album because there were so many we wanted to include. We have recently received our album and love everything about it but most of all how Heather displayed our favorite photos. She displayed them in a way that told our wedding story. We cannot wait to share what these two have captured on our special day and look forward to having this storybook in our family forever.
Jack and I had the BEST experience with the Mr. & Mrs. Barr from beginning to end!! It was so wonderful to have you two be part of our wedding. What Heather and Jason have done for us will forever be in our hearts.

Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but Heather and Jason made at least this part of it very easy and fun! They have tons of ideas for photo shoots and themes, but also manage to let the personalities of their clients shine through. The engagement photos were so much fun, and they are pictures that we will always cherish, and share with our children and grandchildren, and the wedding photos were even more magical! Their efficiency streamlined the wedding photo process so that we were able to spend more time with our loved ones on our big day, and they made the day more memorable for the both of us. To me, photography was one of the most important things for my wedding day, as it is the best way to preserve memories, and capture special events. Everyone has complimented us on the photos they have seen, and we love them. In addition, we just received our storybook photo album, and it is amazing! The quality and design of the book, and the quality of the photos in the book are all astounding! And it was so much fun putting the book together and choosing photos with Heather. Jason and Heather are such wonderful people, and we could not be happier about our decision to go with Revival Photography.

I honestly cannot fully put into words how much I love and appreciate Heather and Jason Barr of Revival Photography. They went above and beyond to make sure that they captured every special moment and detail of our wedding. The wedding photography was BEAUTIFUL - my jaw continuously dropped as I viewed each photo when we received them (which was very quickly I might add). In addition to this, my bridal portraits were completely amazing - everything I had hoped for and more. They were constantly in contact with us to make sure that everyone was on the same page. The services provided were great! I did bridal photos and my wedding day with them and are going back with their company to have couple shots of my husband and I for our one year anniversary. They provide a very comfortable atmostphere and will do some ideas of their own (which are beautiful) along with your own ideas. They take time to edit all photos and have all rights available to you. They were some of the only honest and genuine photographers I could find in the area.

Revival is the best! I am so terrible at having my picture taken, I don’t be know how to pose, and I always forget posture; Heather and Jason are the best at getting the most wonderful photos of those of us who are not pros!
